Nice 1 there, chris has obviously gone through a lot... Sorry pls. Oga dee, how soon will this story end?...
Ending the story depends on how consistent my updates are. Aside personal commitments outside nairaland and of course my health, I see nothing preventing this story from finishing before the end of September. Coincidentally, my holiday ends in the first week of October. So, this story ends before my holiday ends.

Mayor who after Tina left him in the common room still sat foolishly waiting for her return, but when he had sat for thirty five mintues, he made up his mind to leave and that moment, his phone rang and it was his sister.
From all indications, he knew Chris couldn't have been kidnapped by non other persons than his gang members. Afterall, he lrt them at home with the boy. He was even more convinced when Tina told him there were no signs of them ever occupying the apartment downstairs, and judging from the fact that Tina is a public security agent, Mayor knew her conviction couldn't be wrong.
As he walked out through the gate towards his car, he dialled a number.
"Hello guy, its me Mayor." He said very quickly.
"Mayor, how far?" The person at the other end replied.
"I dey, abeg you help me see Majid?" Mayor asked reffering to one of the three guys he left at home.
There was silence at the other end and Mayor could here voices, but in whisper.
"Majid never show today." The guy replied.
"You don't have to lie to me. You should simply have hanged up instead of lying." Mayor spat before ending the call. This time, he was inside his car. He ignited the engine and furiously drove away. Punching in another number in the process.
After six trials with Tina refusing to answer his call, he decided to send her a text.
Hey Tina, please don't get yourself worked up over nothing. I promise to get Chris back in the next twelve hours. Just keep your calm.

Daniel Martins walked into the DPO's office confidently.
"Good afternoon Mr Martins. Am glad you came." The DPO said rising up to his feet while Daniel ignored him and instead shook hands with the two attorneys representing him.
It was obvious that the police boss was offended, but he expertly hid it. Afterall, thats what you get when you invite the 'who is who' in the society for questioning.
"The reason for inviting you is clear to your lawyers as I have explained to them in details......"
Daniel raised his hand in objection which made the DPO stop talking.
"I will prefer getting the details from the attorneys." He said.
"Go ahead." The DPO found himself consenting to his request.
The DPO knew he needs to be in control, or he will end up being dictated to.
"Who is the complainant?" Daniel asked minutes later.
"Barrister Isreal." The DPO replied.
"Who is he working for and what's my relationship to the kidnapped boy."
"The complainant is acting on oders from his client. Miss Christina James." The DPO replied.
Daniel could feel his blood drying up. All the anger he felt towards those who asked that the police lock him up seemed to have disappeared. And was replaced by hatred and desperation.
"Tina, this is your end. Unless my son returns safely within the next twelve hours." He said to himself.

Mark was driving at a very high speed, despite not being familiar with the Lagos road, but being a man who hardly give up, he still drove anyways. His mind was filled with so many thoughts, ranging from what the kidnappers would demand as ransome, how Tina was fearing and most importantly, how Chris was doing in the kidnappers den.
Truly, the boy has been through a lot of troubles despite having spent only thriteen years on earth. He is the one who was left in the dark as to who his father is, he is the one who was kidnapped right inside his school months ago and thanks to his being smart and senses alert, he was able to escape even though not without sustaining some injuries. In the same stead, help seemed to have come to him finally when Clara picked him up, but the world is full of evil, and Clara picking up was not to save him, but to plunge him into further misery. As if that was not enough, the little boy almost lost his life days ago when the Headquater of the N.A.T.U was attacked. Mark could vividly remember how broken down Tina was and the joy in her eyes the moment the boy showed up. Now that he has been kidnapped again, Mark could not but feel pity for Christina.
"The boy is suffering for his mother's job." He concluded as he brought the car to a halt at the turn of the traffic light to red.
Even if the boy was found unhurt, there are chances of him getting kidnapped in the future or even getting killed. Something no one would be happy to hear and for these reasons, someone has to do something.
"Maybe Tina doesn't think as deep as she should have. The boy should be allowed to leave the town, probably to another state or America if she can afford it." He thought as he matched the accelerator which returned the car back to life.
Another pressing issue is that of Chris' father, Daniel Martin. With his connection in the high places, one can only imagine what would be come of Tina by the time he discovered what has happened to his son.
"This woman need a break. Her life is so complicated." He concluded.
------------------------------------------
Tony walked out of the GODSON group into the parking lot where his car was parked. He had no idea why the police would want to have him questioned, and he was interested to know what the problem is. He recieved two police officers some twenty minutes ago who demanded that he followed them to their station, but considering his status, class and the power he wields, he was able to convince the officers who left without him, but not without him promising to be in their office within an hour, and immediately, he summoned his own lawyer, as well as GODSON group of companies attorney. With the two top class barristers waiting for him at the police station, he was confident the case would be settled before the end of the day, but the issue remains having no idea of what his offense was.
He unplugged his phone from the car charger and dialled a number.
"Hello, Daniel Martins on the line. I will like to speak with the Chairman." He said once the line clicked in connection.
"Just a moment sir." His father-in-law's secreatry replied and moments later, Chief Olukolade came on in his usual playful manner.
"Daniel the bad Martins." His father-in-law said on picking up.
Daniel could not but shake his head for the old man who refused to behave like the old man he is. "Only God knows the kind of vodka he is drinking." Daniel thought.
"Good afternoon sir." Daniel greeted.
"Yeah. Good afternoon. My office is now a place you can't visit anymore. Don't lie to me cos I saw you drive in an hour ago and I'm sure you are still in the building." The old man attacked.
"Its not like that sir. Something came up and I have to go out again." He defended.
"Is it about Adeola?" The old man asked.
"No sir. I need the IGP's number." Daniel replied.
"The Inspector General of Police?"
"Yes sir. Some police officers just left my office. They claimed I have some questions to answer." Daniel explained.
"Go back to your office or go home. You have no question to answer to anybody." Chief Olukolade said angrily. "I will call the IGP and everything will be settled."
"No sir. Let me go first and know why I am being questioned and the person behind it. I know I can't spend an hour the, not to talk of being locked up. I just want the IGP to be aware so that by the time my lawyers are done, the DPO in charge of the station and whoever asked them to arrest me will regret the first time they heard about me." Daniel explained.
"Okay, I will send the number."

Chris opened his eyes slowly as he heard footsteps approaching him. He was in a semi-dark room, probably because all the windows and shutters were firmly locked.
"Wake up boy." A croaky voice like the sound of a frog said.
Chris slowly, but carefully sat up and came face to face with five big guys. He immediately began crying as soon as the realization of being kidnapped hit him.
"Please sir, let me go. My mum will pay you any amount." He cried.
"What do you take us for?" One of them asked angrily landing a slap which sent him rolling on the floor.
"You all should avoid hitting the boy. We do not need him. Just kidnap him and eliminate him as soon as Mrs Adeola gives the go ahead." The man with the frog sound cautioned the one who slapped Chris. After which he bent down and helped him up. "And his is such a handsome boy. He'll be a perfect match for my daughter." He said.
Everyone bursted into laughter. "I hate to see small boys suffering."
"Name your price, my mum will pay." Chris pleaded.
"On the other hand boy, we've been asked to kill you, and more so, your mum is not rich. She is only comfortable with her meager salary. Asking for a ransome from her will drain all she has saved over the years." Frogy replied.
"My dad will pay. He is a billionaire. Call him." he said at the top of his voice.
The men exchanged strange looks. "Who is he?" They asked.
"Daniel Martins." Chris replied.
The air became hot around the men. "Daniel Martins is Madam Adeola's husband, isn't it.?" One of the men asked in a whisper.
"Let's talk about this else where." Frogy said walking out of the room.

Clara walked out of her room to find Malik lying on the couch in the living room. For the past three days, he has been pleading and begging to be spared from the brutal decision making between Danny Lovato and his group of advisers.
"You are still here?" She asked as she sat on the center table.
Malik sat up looking gloomy.
"Clara, you and I know you can convince Lovato or anybody to expunge the thought of me sacrificing for the group." He said.
"But you know it's for the best. Sacrifices has to made." Clara replied.
"Not in this case Clara. This sacrifice is way too much. I facilitated your escape despite the heavy security presence at the hotel. I risked everything and made the call. Clara, I have lost my job, Mark is probably looking for me right now. And you still want me to return to N.A.THE.U and hand myself over. What information will I get from inside the cell?"
"Malik, you will pretend to corporate with them and they will trust you. You tell them you know where Lovato is, they tell you their next line of action, you relate it to the other moles inside the N.A.T.U, they in turn reports to Lovato who will block them even before they started." Clara explained.
"It is very easy to say Clara, but you and I know we don't discuss in front of criminals. Why are you this selfish?" This time, he was on his feet. "The same way you carried out an attack against N.A.T. U, we facilitated your escape. No one asked you to hand yourself in to get information. Mark was almost closing up on you, we still facilitated you escape, now you want me to hand myself in. Who does that?"
"Remember your mum is with Lovato. She could be killed. This sacrifice would be worth it, believe me." Clara urged.
"Fine, I will do it, but terms and conditions applies. If at any point there is a breach, I know where to find Lovato and even you." He threatened.
Clara scoffed.
------------
Jimmy sat in front of Daniel as they discussed.
"That woman is a witch." Jimmy said.
"I can attest to that. She must be the most powerful of all witches in Africa." Daniel replied.
Jimmy could not but burst into laughter. "You are in a big fix then." He laughed even more.
"A big fix if you ask me. What do I do?" Daniel replied.
"Why not use your fine boy charm on Tina. She is single, you are as good as being single. Work the mathematics, get her to go out with you, and trust me, with little or no efforts she will allow the boy come to you." Jimmy explained.
A knock sounded on the door interrupting their discussion.
"Come in." Jimmy said.
The door opened and Halima, Daniel's secretary walked in with two men.
"I am inspector Moses. You are under arrest." One of them said flashing his identity card.

THIS UPDATE IS DEDICATED TO OUR DEAREST PRINCESSADEOLA WHO IS PLUS ONE TODAY. ANOTHER AUGUST BORN IN THE HOUSE.

-----------------------------
Mark sat in his office lost in his own thoughts and at the same time, trying all he could to keep his anger in check. The reason he was angry is not far fetched; as an egocentric person, he felt he made a mistake by reacting when Tina told him Tony professed his love for her. He knew he was jealous, and showing it was a bad idea.
"You should be jealously in love with your woman. Its allowed." A voice comforted him.
But is Tina qualified to be his woman? He loved her, no doubt about that, but just as a colleague and confidant.
"Come on shut up! You told Kim you preferred Tina over her. You preferred her as a colleague at work right?" The voice remanded.
His ringing phone brought him out of his reverie. He picked up to check the dialer. It was his mother.
"Jeez!" He exclaimed, knowing what was to come. "Hello mum." He said almost in a whisper.
"Hello son. How you doing?" Grace's voice came on.
"Am good." He replied.
"How is Kimberly?" His mother asked.
Mark had to look round the room to be sure he heard things right. Probably, his mother was trying to play a fast one on him, because Kimberly was someone who wouldn't pass the opportunity of reporting every happenings in her marriage to her mother-in-law.
"She is fine. I left her in bed this morning." He replied calmly.
He could hear his mother take a deep breathe. "How is Tina?" She asked.
"What?" He almost screamed. To say he was shocked is an understatement.
"You heard me." Grace replied coldly.
"She is fine." He whispered.
The line went dead, even though the call was still on. "Hello mum." He called out.
After about half a minute, his mother asked the one million dollar question.
"Do you love her?"
"What are you talking about?" He feigned ignorance.
"Kimberly told me already, so don't play a fast one on me." Grace said angrily.
"But, mum! I still don't understand where you are driving at. What did Kimberly tell you?" He replied.
"Fine. Kimberly told me you have feelings for another woman. She claimed you said it to her face. So, who is this woman? Is it the same woman I asked you about? Do you seriously love her?"
"Mum! These questions are too much for me and more so, I'm at work." Mark replied.
"I can repeat myself taking the questions one by one. Who is the woman?"
If there was something he hated, it was nagging, and his mother gave him a lot of that.
"Mum! I gotta go." And before his mother could protest he hung up. A little over a minute later, his phone vibrated and it was a message from his mother.
I will like to speak with her. Don't deny me.
-----------
Daniel returned to work a dejected man, and for first time since he became the Managing director of GODSON GROUP, he ignored everyone who either greeted him or allowed him walk into the elevator first. The thought of loosing his son naturally to Tina is frightening. Even though he never had a chance with the boy, meaning he has always lost the boy, but thinking about what the future have in store for him, not being able to have a child from his legitimate marriage, the best thing is to by all means win his lovechild to his side. His meeting with his lawyer proved that he has lost the boy legally as no court of law recognize an irresponsible father such as his, and just like his lawyer advised, he should pay Tina whatever she asks for should in case which will enable him have unrestricted access to the boy except if Tina says otherwise.
"I have truly hurt her." He confessed aloud as the elevator came to a stop at the top floor.
He walked out of the elevator and made for his office.
"Welcome sir." His secretary greeted.
He ignored her and approached his door before he stopped to face the wondrous beauty few steps away. "Hold my calls for the day. Cancel all appointments." He said before turning the door knob.
"But sir, the delegation from Cheong construction will be here by 2. They have a forty five minutes meeting with you before the real meeting starts by three. We can't afford to deny them today, remember, they flew in last night and will probably return tonight." The lady explained.
"Did you notify me of my schedules today at all?" Daniel asked.
"Of course, I showed it to you at the close of work yesterday and you asked me to add somethings after which I mailed it to you."
"Why will you send it to my mail?" He asked angrily.
"But sir, I have always sent your schedule via email." The lady defended.
"Get out." He said before walking into his office.
Now in his office, he sat on his chair, head between his palms as he thought of his life. "What was that for? Why vent your anger on the poor girl?" A voice scolded.
"I think am loosing it." He muttered.
------------
Tina brought her car to a halt outside her parent's gate and as quick as her leg could carry her, she alighted and made for the gate which was slightly opened. Considering the minutes she spent on the road from her place of work down to her parent's house, she knew she could feature in the action movie Fast and Furious, but at the moment, fast and furious is the last thing on her mind.
"Chris." She bellowed from downstairs, but got no response. She bravely made for the flat downstairs and knocked on the door, but silence met her knock.
"Anybody home?" She asked, and for the first time, she wished she knew their names.
Slow and steadily, she pushed the door open and walked in. To her surprise, the whole place was well arranged like it was a newly set up apartment. She proceeded to the rooms where she saw no one before finally completing her search in the bathroom and toilet and subsequently the kitchen whose door leads to the back of the house where the emergency staircase was and she ascended the stairs to her parent's flat upstairs.
"Chris." She called out to him, but still got no response.
As she got to the similar backdoor which leads into the kitchen, she turned the door knob, but it was locked, immediately, she returned downstairs, skipping one or two steps as she ran and twenty seconds later, she was in the living room.
"Chris." She called again, allowing her eyes to advance before her as she looked around the room, and just then something caught her wandering eyes. There stood at the entrance into the hallway which connects with Chris' room, his slippers. Immediately, her heart started pounding as she with one swift movement, pulled out her gun before advancing towards the hallway with one prayer on her lips.
Five minutes later, she had searched the whole house with no sign of her son, except one pair of his shoe she saw and his video game which was paused and his mp3 player which kept playing his collection of Iggy Azaela.
She brought out her phone and dialled the first number which came to her mind.
"Hello Mark." She cried.
"Hey! What's the matter? Am coming over." Mark replied.
"No! Am not in the common room. Chris has been kidnapped. Am done for." She cried.
"What? Where are you?" Concern was quite evident in his voice.
"It is Daniel..... Daniel Martin." She cried before hanging up.

Though I've had not much of personal encounters with repo, neither are we friends outside this big land, I cannot but say you are one of the writers I looked up to and still look up to. Unknown to you tho. But am gonna drop my birthday wish anyways.
First it was Kingzpen, then Jay Jay Okocha and Repogirl and finally its gonna be me. Truly, the month of August is meant for great people and really famous people.
Am not good at joining words to make a birthday wish as flawless as what Larry put up there, but I'm confident that God is planning to start your new age with a blessing as flawless as flawless itself.
As you celebrate your birthday today, joy and happiness will never depart your home, you shall glow from glory to glory. Your new age Will be a beginning of new and positive things in your life which will in turn touch the lives of those around you and have a positive impact.
The good Lord will elevate you to a position where the hopeless will look at you and they will see light at the end of the tunnel, the sad/depressed will look at you and dance from Abuja to Chad in happiness.
The best you can make out of today is celebrate with your loved ones and remember God.
Happy birthday to you ma'am.

"Am sorry I couldn't check on you before you left the hospital." Collins said as he made himself comfortable.
"I understand. It was emergency, so I didn't expect you either. And moreso, I sustained a minor injury." Tina replied.
"That shouldn't be an excuse. You mean so much to me, even if you hit your legs on a chair, I should be the first to say sorry." He argued.
The room went silent but was broken seconds later by his own laughter.
"How are you fitting into your new role?" Tina asked changing the topic.
"I still haven't gotten the details of my new role. I am in trouble with the ministry." Collin replied.
"What? Why?" Tina asked in shock.
"The attack on our headquarters. They said I am at fault." He replied.
"How?" Tina asked. "I mean, you are more of an administrator than whatever office they want you to fill."
"I was suprised too. Even though I deserved to be questioned, but not suspended." He replied.
"Suspended? By who?" Tina almost screamed.
"I sensed it came from Andrew's office. The old man has been mad since I took over this position. It certainly was his idea."
"Oh my God!" she lamented. "This shouldn't be happening now that we need as much hand as possible. I mean, we are almost getting to the end of Lovato and his armies all thanks to you and the ministry's idea of bringing a seasoned expert like Mark. Your suspension won't help us, they should have given you a deadline to end Danny Lovato's madness. Oh God!"
"you just have to be calm. Its not the end of the world, and moreso, I might just be back in few weeks to finish what we started together." He said.
"How many weeks suspension is it?" Tina asked.
"Indefinite." He replied.
"Meaning, you won't be returning to N.A.T.U even if your suspension is called off tomorrow?"
"Yeah. And the State security service is the only option." He replied. "Where I started." He laughed.
Tina could see the pain in his eyes, but as a man, he did a good job at hiding it.
"Will you take it?" She asked.
"I will resign at the end of the month." He dropped the bombshell.
"How are you going to survive then? Without a job?" She asked, but was interrupted by the ringing intercom. "hello?" She said. "Okay, I'll be there in two minutes." She replied before facing Collins who was already on his feet.
"Am very sorry. I really have to go now." She said.
"No problem."
"Are you still around? If yes, lets meet in the waiting room by 4PM." She said before picking up her phone and walked out with Collins behind.

"Hey Tina." Mayor greeted as soon as his elder sister walked into the visitor's hall.
"What are you doing here?" Tina attacked. Arms folded on her chest.
"I came to apologise for last night. Believe me, I didn't mean all I said." He replied.
"I would have believed you if the things you said are not true."
"I spoke out of anger. Tina, you know me, don't you?" He said.
"I used to, but the moment you got sacked from the oil company you used to work for, you changed. Mayowa, despite loosing your job, you still live a flashy life. Or you want to tell me you were placed on a monthly pension?"
"That's not the issue here. The bottom line is, am very sorry. Dad and Mum even supported my coming here. They sort of gave me confidence." He said solemly.
"Yeah. That reminds me, mum said they are leaving for the church camp this morning and the church bus would come by later to pick Chris, I suppose my boy is home right now."
"Yeah. I left him while he was having breakfast." Mayor replied.
"And your friends are in the apartment downstairs?" She asked.
"Yeah." he replied.
She gasped in fear as she took three retreating steps towards the door.
"I won't forgive you if anything should happen to my son." She ran out of the hall into her office where she grabbed her car key and drove madly to her parent's house.

Mark walked into the office he shared with Tina and other top officials of the FBI and N.A.T.U. Tina had her head on the desk, lost in her own thoughts, to an extent that she didn't know when Mark walked in.
"Tina." He called tapping her on the shoulder.
Tina sprang up instantly. "Oh! Its you? Good morning." She heaved a sigh of relief as she returned to her seat.
"Good morning to you too." Mark replied checking his wristwatch to be sure he wasn't ahead of time.
"How is Kim? Hope you settled with her?" She asked innocently.
"No." He replied.
"I don't know, but I think you took things too far. As far as I am concerned, my partner can be friends with anybody. If there is love and understanding, I have no cause to question his movements." Tina explained.
"I see." Mark replied absent mindedly.
"I know she despices me and it is understandable. She is a woman afterall."
"why weren't you at the technical meeting this morning?" He changed the topic.
"Meeting? Is today the last thursday of the month? Oh my God. When did it end?"
"There is no cause for alarm, everyone is aware of yesterday's gun battle." He replied.
Tina heaved a sigh of relief.
"You are expected to return on Monday cos you have the rest of the week off. On monday, you'll be debriefed alongside Tony." He explained.
"Tony?" She asked alarmed.
"yes? Any problem?" Mark inquired.
"Yes..... No... I mean, he is nursing a gunshot wound, four days is too small for him to recupperate." She stammered.
Mark gave her a long, but searching look. "Are you okay?" He asked with concern.
"Yes." She muttered almost inaudibly.
"There is no need to lie. I can see it in your eyes." He said.
Her face fell. "Its Tony." She replied.
"What about him?" Mark asked.
"He told me he loves me." She replied.
The room went silent immediately with the sound of the ticking clock and the sound from the air conditioner the only source of noise in the two times size of a normal office.
The door into the office opened with another rival sticking his head in.
"Hey! Hope am not interrupting anything?" Collins asked.
"At all." Mark replied and made for the door.
"Hey Mark! I was looking for you after the meeting, there is a situation you need to be briefed about." Collins extended his hand for a handshake.
Mark walked past him. "Lets talk later." He muttered.
"Good morning." Tina greeted as she sat behind her desk.
------------------------------------------
Daniel Martin sat with his lawyer inside his office deep in a discussion.
"Am very disappointed in you, Young." Daniel said. "How could you recieve a letter such as this and keep it in your office? Now that I felt it was time to hijack my son legally, you shattered my hope by bringing it out."
"Am very sorry sir. The letter was delievered with the parenting terms and conditions attached when I was in London for my two months advanced legal studies. My secretary recieved it and kept it till I returned last week." Young explained.
"What do we do now?" Daniel asked.
"Am afraid we can't do anything. Going to court will be a waste of time. Miss Christina already took the fist step by going to court to obtain this warrant. I think the best thing we can do is to appear in court anytime she wants us to and live by her terms." The lawyer explained.
"You are experienced in cases like this. What do you think could be her terms?" Daniel asked.
"Being a woman. She is likely to request for the custody of the boy fully with you having restricted access to him. You may need to go through the court everytime you want the boy to spend days with you." Young explained.
"Absolute trash. The law recognizes the man as the owner of the child." Daniel said.
"Yes, you are right. The child is yours when the woman hasn't taken first hand legal security action. As I speak to you now, the boy belonged to the mother, as well as the government, you are just the father, and nothing else. Even though we can change the tides against her." The young lawyer explained.
"Now you are talking."
"Even though at the end of the day, you will end up having the child in your custody, but you will part with millions of Naira, depending on whatever the mother said she has spent on his education and upbringing. And even at that, custody of the child will be shared. The mother has as much right as you to the child." He explained killing the little hope Daniel was banking on. "Except you pay the judge, but I won't be your lawyer then."
"Tina...... You will surely pay for this." Daniel said through gritted teeth.
"One last option, charge her to court like you intend doing before she gave you her own court form and the boy would be asked to choose. Am sure you know what that means?"

[b]GOOD MORNING GUYS, HERE ARE THE QUESTIONS I PROMISED;
1. D9ty7 was born in the month of August. Which particular day is it?
2. The story All in a circle is a crime story. Shadows from the past is a romance story and Blood bond is a crime story, but there are similar themes in the three stories.
Mention at least one of those themes.
3.d9ty7 loves football, which football club do you think he supports? He is a political scientist and an aspiring politician, which of the political parties do you think he supports or has a soft spot for?
4. When it comes to characterization and naming, there is a name that is always present in most of d9ty7's stories.
WHAT IS THE NAME? And mention two stories where the name have been used for a major character.
5. A list of all those who commented on this thread on the 30th of April, 19th of June and 30th of July.
Note: d9ty7 is not to be mentioned. And the names should be mentioned according to the time.
The 3rd question is supposed to be a guess for people who don't know, but if you followed ALL IN A CIRCLE, you will know the football club I support, and if you take note of my non update posts on this thread, you'll know the party I support.
I believe the questions are fair enough. And I still stand by my words that Lilyomi, creamy1990, kitme, Neephemie are not allowed to answer the first question.
Drop your answers between now and 10PM today.
