Fela no build house anywhere on this earth. For lack of what to do, you want to use Kuti's family house to immortalize someone who preached freedom of speech, mean well for the nation and advocated an egalitarian society.
If Fela were to be alive today, I am sure Buhari would have cooled him down somewhere at Kuje or Kirikiri.
This government lacks the moral ideology that Fela stood for and should look for something else to do.
Turning that buildingt to a museum will not guaranteed your political future come 2019.

PoliticsMost Internet Warriors Don't Vote by dabeto(op): 7:42pm On Oct 23, 2017
The last two weeks have been very tense with frequent reported cases of corruption and ill actions taken by the government. More Nigerians are losing faith with the government as their goodwill depletes every day. As the $26billion scam and Mainagate gain grounds many on social media are vowing not to vote for APC again.
The irony is that most commentators venting their anger on keyboard and pad don't vote and some don't have voters cards especially the newly age qualified voters who form a chunk of those complaining.
The best option and advice is for Nigerians to register and get their voters card ready. The fate of every politician is in the card likewise the fate of the country.

I remembered the much celebrated Akwa Ibom hospital built by Akpabio and why it was shut down. The hospital management said because the poor who patronizes this hospital could not pay for the bill, government was subsidizing it heavily.
On why PMB and the rich don't use hospitals in Nigeria at least the few that are equipped, the Minister for health responded that these set people need their privacy.
If you factor none patronage by those who should do so to sustain the hospital, your guess is as good as mine concerning the future of this hospital. Is Afe ready and willing to subsidize treatment for the poor?
This attitude cuts across every facet of our life.
We have to change the way we do things to build our nation.

BusinessAmazing: Half-smoked Winston Churchill Cigar Sold For $12,000 by dabeto(op): 4:13am On Oct 16, 2017
A cigar once smoked by former British Prime Minister Winston Churchill has sold for $12,000 (£9,000), according to the Boston-based RR Auction house.
Churchill partially smoked the 4in (10cm) cigar at the Le Bourget Airport in Paris on 11 May 1947.
It was sold on Wednesday night to a collector in Palm Beach, Florida. The buyer's name was not released.
The half-smoked cigar was kept by a British airman who flew Churchill and his wife to and from Paris.
Cpl William Alan Turner saved the Cuban cigar, which features a red-and-gold La Corona label alongside the wartime leader's full name.

Who was Winston Churchill and why was he important?
It also featured a photo taken by the Air Quartermaster with an annotation written in pencil that read: "A photograph I took from the doorway of York MW101 at Le Bourget airport, Paris, on 11th May 1947 just before we flew black to Northolt".
Churchill is surrounded by French ex-servicemen with whom he had been chatting. He stubbed out his cigar in an ashtray when he came aboard, and I took the remains into protective custody."
The 10 greatest controversies of Winston Churchill's career
During the trip Churchill visited the historic Les Invalides, where he was awarded France's highest military honour, the Medaille Militaire.
Bobby Livingston, executive vice president at RR Auction, called the item "a synonymous piece from Churchill's trademark look".
In 2015, a chewed up Churchill cigar butt was sold for £2,000 at a British auction house.

Foreign AffairsAustria Set To Elect World's Youngest Leader: Sebastian Kurz by dabeto(op): 3:55am On Oct 16, 2017
Austria's conservative People's Party, led by 31-year-old Sebastian Kurz, is set to win the country's general election, projections suggest.
Mr Kurz is on course to become the world's youngest national leader.
The People's Party was set to win more than 31%. It is so far unclear whether the Social Democrats or the far-right Freedom Party will finish second.
Short of a majority, Mr Kurz's party could seek an alliance with the anti-immigration Freedom Party.
Addressing his supporters, Mr Kurz said: "It is time for change in this country. Today is a strong order for us, to change this country, and I say thank you to you all who made this possible.
"I'm overwhelmed, I am happy, and I look forward to working for Austria."
Who is Sebastian Kurz?
Before the election, Mr Kurz served as Europe's youngest-ever foreign minister, after he was appointed in 2013 aged just 27.
In May 2017 he became the leader of the People's Party. He began his political career in the youth wing of the party, which he chaired before moving on to serve on Vienna's city council.
Nicknamed "Wunderwuzzi" (roughly translated - someone who can walk on water), he has been compared to the young leaders of France and Canada, Emmanuel Macron and Justin Trudeau.
Much like Mr Macron, Mr Kurz has created a movement around himself, rebranding the People's Party - which has been in power for more than 30 years - as "The New People's Party".
What were the main issues?
Immigration was the dominant issue in the run-up to the vote, and Mr Kurz moved his party to the right in the wake of Europe's 2015 refugee crisis.
He appealed to conservative and right-wing voters with pledges to shut down migrant routes to Europe, cap benefit payments to refugees, and bar immigrants from receiving benefits until they have lived in Austria for five years.

Freedom Party leader Heinz-Christian Strache accuses Mr Kurz of stealing his policies
The rightward shift was seen as a response to the success of the Freedom Party, which narrowly missed out on the presidency in December when Norbert Hofer was defeated by Alexander Van der Bellen, head of the Greens.
The stance proved popular with Austrian voters after a huge influx of undocumented migrants and refugees from the Middle East and North Africa.
The Freedom Party accused Mr Kurz of stealing their policies. Their candidate, Heinz-Christian Strache, has called him an "imposter".
Parties clash in final TV debate
Austrian ban on veil comes into force
Austria's far right choose a flower with an ugly past
What next?
Mr Kurz is on course to win the lion's share of the vote but not a majority. If the forecasts are correct, he will need to form a coalition, most likely with the Freedom Party.
The last coalition between the Social Democrats and the conservatives fell apart this spring - and there may be reluctance to renew it. But an alliance with the populist, far-right Freedom Party could prove controversial among Austria's EU counterparts.
Mr Kurz refused to discuss his plans, saying only that he would talk to other parties. He says he wants to wait for final results.

Polls have put the Freedom Party at an all all-time high of 26.9%, suggesting that the European far-right is not dead after emphatic defeats in France and the Netherlands.
The relative success of the Freedom Party follows an electoral breakthrough by the far right in neighbouring Germany last month.
What about the opposition?
The current chancellor, Social Democrat leader Christian Kern, looks certain to lose his position after a campaign marred by several scandals, including allegations that his adviser led an online smear campaign against Mr Kurz.
Mr Kern said on Sunday he had no intention of standing down as leader, despite the party's loss. "I have said I will stay in politics for 10 years and there are nine years to go," he told broadcaster OBF.
After a tumultuous year with internal rifts, the pro-refugee Greens party is among several smaller parties uncertain of reaching the 4% threshold required to enter parliament.

Foreign AffairsUS Special Forces Killed, Wounded During Ambush In Niger by dabeto(op): 2:27am On Oct 05, 2017
US forces came under attack Wednesday in the West African nation of Niger — with three Green Berets being killed and two others wounded, reports say.

Military officials told the New York Times that Special Operations troops were ambushed during a routine patrol near the Niger-Mali border. They had been training members the Nigerien Armed Forces.

“We can confirm reports that a joint U.S. and Nigerien patrol came under hostile fire in southwest Niger,” said Lt. Cmdr. Anthony Falvo, a spokesman for the United States Africa Command in Stuttgart, Germany.

Three Army Green Berets were said to have been killed in the attack and two others wounded.

Officials told the Associated Press that the commandos were likely targeted by al Qaeda’s North African branch, al Qaeda in the Islamic Maghreb.

The deaths mark the first time that American soldiers have died while training armed forces in Niger.

The US military has been in the country providing training and security assistance to Nigerien soldiers following the rise of the ISIS-affiliated Boko Haram terror group and al Qaeda.

Terrorists have maintained a strong presence in the region since at least 2014.

“US Forces are in Niger to provide training and security assistance to the Nigerien Armed Forces, including support for intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance efforts, in their efforts to target violent extremist organizations in the region,” Falvo told CNN on Wednesday night. “One aspect of that is training, advising and assisting the Nigeriens in order to increase their ability to bring stability and security to their people.”

The commandos who were wounded on Wednesday were both taken to a hospital in Niamey, where they were reportedly listed in stable condition.

The extent of their injuries was unclear.
