Yoruba culture and maybe civilisation have made some Muslims to act stupidly in the name of marriage. this is exactly what Dr Abubakar Ali Agan preaches against every friday on radio. some people would waste money for a day wedding,spending millions and give their bride token,like 10k as Saddaki and of which according to Islam,the Saddaki that should be given to the bride should be one of the largest part of the money,other part of the money to be used to invest or give to those in need if your investment is enough for you instead of wasting it depending on your capability though. In a strictly Islamic wedding,the wife would collect her Saddaki and use it to invest most times or use it for something meaningful. some buy land,etc depending on the capability of the husband. even Islam encourages having your nikkah in the mosque,so you might not need event centre if you can't afford it. in Islam,you havze to cut your coat according to your size

Father we are in dire need of your Spirit in the church. Your church needs revival. Otherwise, if Jesus returns today He may find no one worthy as Bride.

The beauty of Christianity is the liberty it offers through Christ Jesus and that liberty covers the joy to debate and the unhindered restrictions to bare your mind without fear of contradictions.
When revival is about to break forth in the church, the Holy Spirit usually steer the spirit of men to bring order back to the church.
This is not new in christaindom. Read up about the history of Martin Luther, Azusa Revival etc on this.
The debate is in order and at the end of the day, men will choose what is right for themselves. Paying or not paying tithes will not stop any Christian from making heaven if he or she has a right standing with God through Christ Jesus.
Remember, God loves a cheerful giver and we Christians must continue to give without measure for the kingdom work to move on.
