Frank Ocean has won the libel lawsuit filed against him by his father earlier this year, according to Law 360.
Back in February, Ocean's father, Calvin Cooksey, filed a defamation lawsuit against his son over an essay the singer wrote on his Tumblr account after the Orlando nightclub shooting.
In the open letter, Ocean recalled a childhood moment in which he claimed his father used a derogatory term against a transgender woman. Cooksey said the allegation then hindered "his financial opportunities in film and music."

He was seeking $14.5 million in damages.

However, Ocean's attorney, Keith Bremer, confirmed to Pitchfork that the judge ruled in favor Frank. Bremer said, "It was a super sad case. I am sorry that my client had to go through this and am glad that we could bring closure."

The management of OAU (Obafemi Awolowo University), Osun State has suspended four of its students allegedly said to have engaged in criminal activities. It was reported that the Vice Chancellor of the University, Professor Eyitope Ogunbodede, approved their immediate suspension, following the investigation of the police and pending its outcome.

The affected students include Omole Ibukun Ayodele, studying Civil Engineering, Jacob Tosin Grace, in the Faculty of Law. Others are Udeh John, a student in the department of Arts and Social Sciences and one Oluwalade Babatunde, said to be studying English.

Confirming the development, OAU Public Relations Officer, Mr Abiodun Olarewaju, in a statement, said, 'the students, together with other persons, vandalised commercial transport vehicles of the members of the National Union of Road Transport Workers in Ile-Ife, and drove two other vehicles to more police stations where other students being interrogated by the police were forcefully released by their group. The Vice-Chancellor of the University, Professor Eyitope Ogunbodede, upon careful review of the facts and circumstances of the matter, has come to the inevitable conclusion that the students involved be suspended from the University in the interim, pending police investigation and until such time as the situation shall have been reviewed and resolved'.

Following their alleged misconducts, the students were further ordered “to vacate the campus and are accordingly forbidden to participate in any activity of the University, either within or outside the campus. “The University management has, therefore, advised law-abiding students to concentrate on their studies and shun any act or utterance that is capable of elongating the academic calendar beyond the stipulated period,” the statement read.

There was a tension this morning at Akintola road in Sapele, Delta state, after a yet-to-be-identified lady was found dumped with her some part of her hair shaved.

According to Sapele Ogheneks, a small dark car, driven by some men, brought the lady to the area. .

The corpse has since been moved to a morgue in the area.

Today, LIB was present at a press conference by Lagos State Police Commissioner, Imohimi Edgal where he spoke on the death of Tagbo Umeike and also announced that Davido has been reinvited for questioning.

According to the commisioner, Davido said he was informed of Tagbo's death by a mutual friend while he was at DNA night Club. Further investigation by the police also revealed that Tagbo was taken to the hospital by Davido's driver (Tunde Yusuf) and two of Davido's friends.

The commisioner also said that during investigation, Davido's driver said they took Tagbo to the General Hospital on the instructions of Davido and the autopsy report shows that he died of suffocation.

According to the Commissioner, the CCTV footage from the lounge where he drank (Shisha Lounge) in Lekki shows that Tagbo took up to 40 shots of tequila. The footage also showed that he became quarrelsome and violent at some point. The ash colloured corolla which was used to transport Tagbo to the hospital was later recovered from Davido's residence in Awosike street Lekki phase 1, Lagos.
