tolajay: Yes, the marginal decline is interesting but we need to consider the drivers of the development and their sustainability.
Speak about food inflation, do you know that harvest has been very good for farmers this year? Hence the increase and availability of farm produce and food items.
With the border closure, forex tightening and proposed VAT (without home-grown viable alternatives) the dynamics might change in coming months and quarters.
CBN is targeting a single digit inflation, but that’s a tall order given their timeline and procedures.
But then, these are just numbers what are the impacts on citizens? Not at all. |

Location is important. It will be enough if you have genuine and certified builders handling the project. Start with primary section. Never be in a rush. Besides you can even invest the money in any of the investment portfolio(Tbills, Bond e.t.c) while you still handling the primary section. also attend association of school owner meetings in your area you will learn so much. westliverenterp: Good morning, i need your advice I want to set up a nursery, primary and secondary school will #20 million be enough? Federal Govt Saving BondMinimum amount is 5k Tenor 2 and 3 yrs The interest is paid every quarter (i.e. every 3 months) into your bank account. At the end of the duration of the bond (i.e. the tenor), you are paid the initial amount you put in. For example, if you subscribe with 1,000,000 Naira for 3 years and the interest rate is 12%, you will be paid 30,000 every three months (=12% of 1,000,000 = 120,000 Naira every year). Note there are no charges - no VAT, no capital gains tax, no withholding tax - on the interest you are paid shocked. There are also no charges to pay to your stockbroker or the Federal Government in order to subscribe to the FGN Savings Bond. Interest is paid every 3 months in a year Hallenjay: Pls ooooo Which one will pay me, I've gathered some change. Btw Fedral govt savings bond and tbills and risk level too... ernie4life: For now we could say bonds will give you better returns but 20 years is a very long time and anything can happen. A few years ago treasury bills was giving about 22%, so how sure are we that in the next 20 years that such a thing won't happen.
If the funds was more your best strategy would be "don't put all your eggs in one basket" 75% of your portfolio in bonds and the other 25% in money market which includes treasury bills and commercial papers. The bolded how can one go about it |
