This brings us to a better understanding of what Jesus said in Acts 1:7. Honestly, I have struggled to understand that verse until tonight.

When the disciples were asking the Lord Jesus about the timing of His second coming, He answered them in Acts 1:7 which states:

"It is not for you to know the times or the seasons, which the Father hath put in his own power."

The right thing Jesus was supposed to say is "...the time and the seasons which only the Father knows." If He had said that, it would have put a question on His omniscience. But He said the Father puts that in His power. I actually didn't understand the putting in His power phrase until tonight after reading the response from my brother Nachmonides.

Now, I understand that Jesus is speaking to His disciples here, telling them that it's not their responsibility to know the timing of the future event, - the restoration of the kingdom to Israel which happens only during the second coming. He emphasized that God the Father has reserved the right to determine the timing of the event, and it's not for humans to know or speculate about the exact timing.

This further proves that it's not a matter of Christ not being all knowing but a matter of understanding the individual roles in the Trinity.

In the first century there were lots and lots of speculation and rumours about Jesus and his disciples but because you are reading what they wrote themselves that's why you are siding them but try to listen to Judaists who don't believe in Jesus then you will here horrible things they are saying about the same Jesus you are calling "Lord"

Mormons view military service as a civic duty to serve their country when necessary, and also see it as a way to protect their families and religious freedoms.

No my good friend, it's actually the other way round. JW is what she was born into and all she knew. She was so disappointed from seeing the inner workings that she knew she'd never trust organized religion again. Of course she'd have

Jews are arrogant people who feels they should dominate the world since their God is the Almighty but Jesus explained to them that that's not the reason God chose their forefathers rather they are to lead other nations to salvation through a HARD WORK that'll be assigned to them.
They must leave their comfort zone to go and preach to people they had been treating with contempt in the past and to hear the promised Messiah (Christ) telling them to kiss the feet of pagans like Romans that's been dominating them for years!
They concluded that Jesus is out of his senses because they will not do such a thing even if God should come down to tell them and that's why they discarded all the signs Jesus performed and decided to kill him! John 11:48, 53

One of my closest friends grew up totally JW. She said she left (NOT excommunicated) because she got close to the leadership and didn't like what she saw. Now she doesn't believe in religion AT ALL. She wouldn't go to church if you paid her!

My friend you misunderstand what I wrote. I never said Jesus spoke by mouth and it was not verified. I said NEWS was mainly by word of mouth and hard to verify (eg, news of a war), unlike today when you'd even see video of the actual war right on phone in your hand!
Bottom line, in today's world, "you'd hear of rumors of wars" makes no sense, "you'd hear of wars" does and it's all that is needed!

As for Boko, "possibility of war" is NOT "rumors of war". "Rumors of war" refers to spreading news of an ongoing war that is possibly false
