Coach Eguavoen appears to be the chosen one to help Nigeria qualify for the Mundial after failing to qualify us for Qatar 2022. He however needs to make some tough decisions which may annoy some big boys in the team
and some top dogs in the NFF!

Victor Boniface is an overhyped striker! He has the potentials but not yet there. His shot conversion rate(18.75%) is very low despite playing in a club that creates multiple chances for him! He scores a goal for approximately every 5 shots he takes! He should not be starting for the Eagles!

Ndidi is one of the old heads in the team and well respected but his marking and ball passing skills aren’t really great! He is a leader in the team and though he does have some good moments with Leicester, he is well past his prime! He should not be starting! Eguavoen must have the testicular fortitude to bench him. Onyedika and Onyeka are younger, tougher and better !

Iwobi doesn’t have the energy,brute force and goal scoring abilities to be starting as our number 10. He does have some guile to his game which has helped him in his career in England but he doesn’t have enough to be bossing the midfield of the Super Eagles. Dele Bashiru is more compact,rugged and a better scorer of goals.

Gift Orban must be invited! He offers something different from all our other strikers! He can shoot with both feet from outside the box, take free kicks and he is more like Ademola Lookman. He scored 15 goals in his debut 2022/2023 season in Belgium while Boniface scored 9! He scored the fastest hat trick in any Uefa competition and has now become a regular with Lyon ! He can support Osimhen or deputise for Lookman!

NFF, do everything within your powers to get Chelsea’s Tosin Adarabioyo to commit to the eagles! That guy with Ekong, Ajayi and Bassey will make our defence world class!

Finally, coach pls revert to the 3-5-2 that brought us success at the Afcon! Our former coach learnt the hard way before he finally settled for that formation! Nigeria is no longer a high scoring side hence the need to consolidate on our defensive solidity! Don’t tweak the formation to accommodate some old guys in the team! South Africa is not smiling, they destroyed Congo 5-0 yesterday and they are determined to clinch the World Cup ticket ahead of us! The Bible NEVER said God made her barren because she corrected her husband out of love! I wonder how this idea crept into the church! God is not wicked or callous!
How many of us will see our spouse dancing half naked or in a reckless way in church and not call them to order out of love? Michal was unfortunately barren likely from natural causes just like many other women before and after her! God had no hand in it!

The Jews were happy because Herod killed James! Why are they so anti-Christian?

Acts 12

Why is there so much conflict between Jews and Christians? Are these guys really God’s children or they just pushed that narrative in their Torah to make people respect and fear them? Why do Christians accept their Torah(as Old Testament) but they reject Christ and the New Testament? Are Christians being used as pawns by the Jews to help them dominate the world?

Jewish leaders stoned Stephen to death because He preached Christ! Is the Jewish God different from Jesus’ father?

Acts 7
1 The high priest asked Stephen, “Are they telling the truth about you?”

Why were the Jewish leaders so anti Christ? Why were they so callous and inhumane? After Killing Jesus , they were hell bent on silencing His message of resurrection and salvation! Even up till now, they don’t believe Jesus is the son of God and also don’t believe in the New Testament! Is the Jewish God really Jesus’ father? God will not fight His son or His message!

Moses gave the law because your hearts were hard - Jesus Christ!
Jesus never said God gave the law but kept mentioning Moses!

Mark 10
2 Some Pharisees came and tested him by asking, “Is it lawful for a man to divorce his wife?”

3 “What did Moses command you?” he replied.

4 They said, “Moses permitted a man to write a certificate of divorce and send her away.”

5 “It was because your hearts were hard that Moses wrote you this law,” Jesus replied

Did you notice that Jesus avoided saying God gave the law, He kept asking what Moses said and not what God said? He said Moses permitted divorce because of the hardness of their hearts!

Does it mean most of the Mosaic laws were actually Moses’ idea and not necessarily from God! It appears Christ is telling us that some of the laws of Moses’ were not necessarily from God but was designed and tailored by Moses to address the timing, demands and nature of the Israelites then!

Jesus only must remain our role model! His teachings and those of His Apostles are enough for us as Christians!

God is still doing miracles and His healing is total and complete! Pastors must remember that they don’t need to perform miracles to validate their status as anointed men of God! Church members should also not put undue pressure on their Pastors and expect them to act like God at all times!

God created male and female - Jesus! This implies Eve who was created from the ribs of Adam wasn’t the first woman!

Mark 10:5-6
…Jesus replied. 6 “But at the beginning of creation God ‘made them male and female.

This corroborates the creation account in Gen 1:27

Gen 1: 27 So God created mankind in his own image,
in the image of God he created them;
male and female he created them.

In verse 28, God tells them(men and women) to consummate, have kids and grow

Gen 1: 28 God blessed them and said to them, “Be fruitful and increase in number; fill the earth and subdue it…

The account of Jesus who was with God at creation confirms that God created men and women together in His image ! It probably also explains why there were people living elsewhere especially when u consider that Cain needed a mark from God to prevent people from killing him! It also shows that Eve was probably not the first woman or was just a hypothetical representation for women considering she came later from the rib of a man!

God did not harden the heart of Pharaoh, Moses wrongly interpreted God’s message!

Exodus 4:21
21 The Lord said to Moses, “When you return to Egypt, see that you perform before Pharaoh all the wonders I have given you the power to do. But I will harden his heart so that he will not let the people go

God is too righteous to treat a man He created in his own image like that- harden his heart unto destruction! Never! The God , Jesus , presented to us will never do such and He does not change!

Also, God is too powerful to need the approval or otherwise of Pharaoh to let the Israelites go! He can easily kill him in his sleep, He can teleport the Israelites if He wants . He is almighty!

Ezekiel 18: 23 “Do you think that I like to see wicked people die? says the Sovereign LORD . Of course not! I want them to turn from their wicked ways and live.

Many times God reveals things to us but the way we present it or put it in writing may be a little bit different because our human nature and thinking may sometimes get in the way! This is what I think happened to Moses!

2 When the Lord began to speak through Hosea, the Lord said to him, “Go, marry a promiscuous woman and have children with her, for like an adulterous wife this land is guilty of unfaithfulness to the Lord

Would God support a man marrying or sleeping with prostitutes and promiscuous women? Was Hosea lusting after the woman in question and tried to justify it to people who held him in high esteem as a prophet by bringing God into the picture? Was it his human mind fuelled with passion speaking to him which he mistook for God?

2 Corinthians 6:14
14 Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?

God does not change and the real nature of God presented to us by Jesus, who has been with Him from time immemorial, remains sacrosanct! The many other things alluded to God by human prophets should be taken with a pinch of salt if it negates the picture Christ presented to us!

Stop Speaking in Tongues in Church if no one can interpret - Apostle Paul !

1 Cor 14
18 I thank God that I speak in tongues more than all of you. 19 But in the church I would rather speak five clear words to instruct others than ten thousand words in a tongue.
27 If anyone speaks in a tongue, two—or at the most three—should speak, one at a time, and someone must interpret.
28 If there is no interpreter, the speaker should keep quiet in the church and speak to himself and to God.

This is very apt and on point from Apostle Paul! The way every Tom, Dick and Harry speak in tongues in churches is alarming! In fact in many churches , kids and adults are Taught how to speak in tongues!

You see many General overseers and Pastors rapping and muttering the same words every time they come on the pulpit claiming to be in the Spirit and speaking in ‘ unknown tongues’ . Tongues they can’t interpret nor anybody do!

When the Apostles spoke in tongues at the Pentecost, many people from different tribes and regions were shocked as they spoke their different languages! Have u not wondered why people from other countries don’t acknowledge their language being spoken when they listen to these pastors speaking in tongues while ministering on social media or TV?

The sensationalizing and commercialising of ‘speaking in tongues’ has sadly taken over the church! Judgement will definitely start from the house of God! Speaking in Tongues is great but should be done privately if there is no interpretation!

General Overseers in Nigeria are spending millions of dollars on church buildings while their full time pastors earn a slave wage of $30-$40 a month!

The Pastors are also mandated to remit about 60% of all monies raised in their local churches! This is unfair!

Is the good life only meant for the Oga at the top? I don’t know what CAN and PFN is doing to protect the interest of junior pastors?

As people protest against bad governance, pls don’t forget to protest the meagre slave wages of our pastors suffering in the local branches!

King Solomon built a great temple for God but also built for the strange gods of his wives (Chemosh and Molech)
The magnificent temple he built for God was destroyed and burnt down by Nebuchadnezzar years later(2Kings 25:9).
If God lived in the temple, no human would have been able to destroy it!
Church leaders in Nigeria should stop wasting their money on palatial church edifices ! God does not reside there! They should rather invest in the people who are the real temples of God!(1 Cor 3:16)

Nigeria is building the biggest church auditoriums in the world yet the country has the second highest poverty rate globally! Does God really live in those auditoriums? Is Jesus in support of such edifices?

The competition among church leaders to outdo one another on who has the bragging rights on the biggest auditoriums in the country has sadly taken over the church!

An 100,000 capacity edifice in Abuja was completed at approximately 200M USD recently! Another one , arguably the largest in the world, which can seat a million worshippers was completed also recently along Lagos-Ibadan Road . The most magnificent of all is almost reaching completion and is going to be built like Noah’s ark with all the trappings of a 5 star hotel and a world class football stadium. It will be in a small town in Ogun state. It will gulp almost a billion dollars!

Does Jesus fancy all these edifices? Does he approve of all these magnificent churches? See His response below?

How men changed and doctored the Bible? How the different ideologies of early church leaders caused the production of different bibles?

The King James Bible was first published in 1611 under the sponsorship of King James VI and I.

It had 80 books: 39 in the Old Testament, 14 in the Apocrypha, and 27 in the New Testament.

However, the Apocrypha( containing 14 books) was later removed from subsequent editions of the KJV, including the 1885 edition. This removal was primarily largely due to shift in Protestant attitudes towards these books.

The Protestants are Christians who emerged in northern Europe during the early 16th century. They didn’t believe in many of the practices of the Roman Catholic Church like Purgatory, selling indulgences, submission to the Pope among others! They also did not believe in the 14 Apocrypha books.The notable Apocryphal books include the First and Second Books of Esdras, Tobit, Judith, Wisdom of Solomon, Sirach (Ecclesiasticus),Baruch,1st and 2nd books of Maccabees and additional Psalms!

The Protestants were against the Apocrypha inclusion in the Bible because:
Different Doctrine: The Apocrypha contains teachings that diverge from the Bible. For instance, it suggests salvation by works rather than faith alone.
Purgatory: The Apocrypha introduces the concept of purgatory, which is not found in the Bible.
Lack of Authority: These books lack the marks of authority present in the rest of the Old Testament.

The Catholic Church however believe the Apocrypha is inspired by God and retained it in their Bible up till now! The Protestants which include the Pentecostals and Baptist have since discarded with the books!

The Ethiopian Bible is the most comprehensive Bible containing Old and New Testament as well as the Apocrypha and some extra books (deuterocanonical)! They believe all the books are inspired!

The Hebrew Bible doesn’t contain the New Testament!

Which is the best Bible? Which one represents the true mind of God? Only God has the answer as different Christian leaders have different ideologies and beliefs. What is certain however is that early Christian leaders added and removed from the Bible!

Why the Gospel of Mary Magdalene was not included in the Bible?

Mary Magdalene was very close to Jesus. She was there at his crucifixion and burial! She also spoke to Him first after the resurrection. Jesus afterwards made her the first evangelist/apostle to apostles by giving her a message to the disciples who were hiding and sore afraid!( Matt 28:1-10). It would have been good to see her own account of Christ!

The Gospel of Mary Magdalene is a text that Biblical scholars really don't want to include in the Bible—not because it was written in the 2nd or 3rd century (plenty of books in the Biblical canon weren't even finished until the 2nd century), but because it offers a different take on spiritualism than the rest of the books.

In this book, Mary describes a discussion she had with Jesus and the disciples where Jesus explains that people have a spirit, a mind, and a second spirit that connects them with God. Many Biblical scholars believe that by adding this book to the Bible, the message of the Bible would have conflicting ideas that would teach people to find an inner harmony, rather than only to seek salvation from a higher power.

It was also suggested that the male dominated councils that approved books and gospels into the Bible did not want a book written by a woman in the Bible!

It would have been a good idea to hear a woman’s account of Jesus! It would have been a great idea to hear the mysteries Christ told her after the resurrection but the politics and probable misogynistic/sexist position of the approving committees thought otherwise!

Jesus preaches humility for Christian leaders! Don’t idolize any pastor and don’t allow anyone to Idolize you!
Jesus says we are all brothers and it should remain like that! This does not mean we don’t respect our Christian leaders but we MUST not idolize them! If they preach wrong we must correct them in love as a fellow soldier in Christ! Pastors must also come down from their high horses and realize that God sees them no differently from any other true child of God!

How Pope Gregory of Roman Catholic Church lied and falsely called Mary Magdalene a Prostitute to lessen her value and importance! The politics and female gender discrimination in the early church will shock you!

Mary Magdalene was very close to Jesus and because she was the one Christ gave his first message after resurrection to deliver to his runaway petrified male disciples made many early church Christian leaders uncomfortable!
Many Western church leaders sought to downplay her influence by portraying her as a sinner, specifically a prostitute.

Numerous scholars argue that because Jesus empowered women early in his ministry, it made some of the men who would lead the early church later on troubled and uneasy. They responded by turning her into a prostitute.

To make Mary Magdalene look like the original repentant prostitute, early church leaders merged her with other women mentioned in the Bible, including an unnamed woman, identified in the Gospel of Luke as a sinner, who bathes Jesus’s feet with her tears as well as another Mary, Mary of Bethany, who also appears in Luke.

In 591 A.D., Pope Gregory the Great solidified this misunderstanding in a sermon: “She whom Luke calls the sinful woman, whom John calls Mary [of Bethany], we believe to be the Mary from whom seven devils were ejected according to Mark."

Pope Gregory and other sexist, chauvinistic early church leaders believed that by turning her into a prostitute, they would make her unimportant and diminish her value . They made people believe she couldn't have been a leader, because of what she did for a living!

Sadly, this lies by the then Pope and other insecure early church leaders remained in the church centuries after!

No where in the Bible is Mary Magdalene labelled a Prostitute! She is mentioned 12 times in the New Testament, making her the second most mentioned woman after the Virgin Mary.

It wasn’t until 1969, during Pope Paul VI’s clarification, that Mary Magdalene’s true identity as a faithful bearer of the Good News was finally recognized!

Men need not to feel threatened by women! Jesus , the son of God, elevated women to a status never seen in a male dominated patriarchal Israel , to the chagrin of his male followers! Mary Magdalene was the most loyal of all Jesus’ disciples and followers- She was at His crucifixion and burial(these were times Jesus needed his friends the most, but they all ran away)! I look forward to when we will start having female Popes and more female General overseers! The gender discrimination in the church Must STOP!

Many Christians up till now view Egypt with disdain because of the enslavement and exodus of Israelites during the Moses’ era!
In fact, a popular prayer point in churches is ‘The Egyptians you see now , you will see them no more’.

Egypt provided Refuge for Abraham, Joseph,Jacob and his sons during times of famine . Most importantly, Egypt provided Refuge for our Lord Jesus Christ as a baby and did not sell him out to Herod!

Christians should give Egypt her deserved flowers and stop despising her!

Who started the prosperity gospel in the church?
According to Wikipedia, Oral Roberts, an American televangelist started the modern-day prosperity gospel movement in the 1950s as a post–World War II Pentecostal movement .
- He was born Jan 1918
- Married to Evelyn for 66yrs and they had 4 kids
- His ministry reached millions of followers and spanned 6 decades
- Founded Oral Roberts University in 1963
-In 1977, he claimed to have had a vision from a 900-foot-tall Jesus who told him to build City of Faith Medical and Research Center, and the hospital would be a success
- In 1983 Roberts said Jesus had appeared to him in person and commissioned him to find a cure for cancer
- In January 1987, during a fundraising drive, Roberts announced to a television audience that unless he raised $8 million by that March, God would "call him home
- The wife died from a fall at the age of 88
- The daughter, Rebecca died in a plane crash with her hubby in 1977
-His first son,Ronald committed suicide in 1982
- Roberts died Dec 2009 at the age of 91 following complications of Pneumonia!

Oral Roberts mentored many prosperity preachers all over the world and his books are used as a template by many Pastors in Nigeria,Africa and worldwide ! He is said to have mentored the fathers of Pentecostalism in Nigeria!
According to Bro Gbile, the American books and prosperity preachers polluted Christianity in Nigeria in the late 70s and early 80s. They made the gospel transactional and the church gradually lost her fervour!

The big boys in Pentecostal churches in Nigeria adopted the prosperity gospel and started living large like their mentor( Oral Roberts) - buying jets, building universities (unaffordable to most church members), living a life of luxury. They also learnt the manipulation skills from him -like telling people if he doesn’t raise $8m within 3 months he would die or that he saw a 900foot tall Jesus who told him to build a hospital! That’s why you see many church leaders lying and exaggerating in the name of Jesus’

Prosperity is good and it is the will of God that we prosper however there is nothing like a prosperity gospel or a prosperity minister! Jesus and the apostles never preached it rather they shared all they had together with the congregation such that no one in church lacked- that’s the true prosperity .

It appears it’s finally coming home! Why England will likely beat Spain and win Euro 2024!

The three lions of England have had a spate of painful heartbreaking losses in the last few years(2018 World Cup Semi Final loss to Croatia,2020 Euro Final loss to Italy and World Cup 2022 Quarter final loss to France)which appears to have built their mental strength and resilience! This I believe will give them a strong edge over the high flying less experienced Spaniards!

The English team also have the god of soccer on their side in this tournament. They have had a lot of lucky escapes unlike in previous tourneys! The soft penalty given against Holland is a typical example.

This English team reminds me of Portugal in Euro 2016! They struggled to the final and beat a highly favoured France to become champions! They also remind me of Ivory Coast who also wobbled to the final and defeated a highly fancied and much more talented Nigerian team at AFCON 2023!

It is going to be a tough final and Spain stand as slight favourites but I suspect the mental doggedness of the English will probably nick it for them!

Kanu had a heart problem and went to the Synagogue to see Prophet TB Joshua.
