Sunday Oliseh advises Osimhen and other Super Eagles players ! In a recent interview on Elegbete TV, Nigerian football legend, Sunday Oliseh said in his time in the Eagles nobody disrespected a legend or elder! They never called them by names! They called Christian Chukwu, Chairman and Segun Odegbami, Big Segz . This was despite the fact they were the golden generation with most players playing in top clubs in Europe! He also said there was a time Segun Odegbami wrote a scathing and critical article on him in the papers. He was really pained and affected by it but rather than call him out publicly and dress him down by calling him ‘Segun’ , he rather put a call across to him and the issue was resolved privately! He warned that when star players misbehave, young people who see them as idols will likely support and copy them! I completely agree with Oliseh’s submissions and it corroborates my earlier post on the need for the NFF to discipline Osimhen for disrespecting a legend, elder and his coach publicly! This is not just for the sake of the Super Eagles but for the moral foundation of youths in Nigeria and Africa as a whole.

Finidi George should pls work on his looks and the way he talks to the press and fans! He needs to shave or trim his beards and improve his dress sense! He is naturally a fine tall guy and he should appropriately groom himself. He looked better as a player! He also needs to improve his speaking skills! As a national team coach, you need to know how to use the right words to calm down fans when you lose a match ! Coaches should be generally well groomed( look good , dress well and speak right) . This is especially important for a local coach in Nigeria who is hardly respected by rich egotistic foreign based players! Well-groomed men are generally perceived as reliable, competent, and capable. They’re more respected and are usually given leadership roles! This is one of the reasons Stephen Keshi was a huge success and commanded respect despite been a local coach!

Glaucoma sadly ended Femi’s football career, don’t let it make you blind! Check your Eye Pressure regularly! Glaucoma is an eye condition characterized by damage to the optic nerve, often associated with elevated eye pressure (IOP).It is a progressive disease leading to vision loss/blindness! Risk Factors: Glaucoma risk factors include age (more common in older adults),family history, high IOP, thin corneas, and certain medical conditions (e.g., diabetes, hypertension). Symptoms and Detection: Glaucoma is often asymptomatic in its early stages.Your eyes usually feel normal in the early stage! Regular eye exams, including eye pressure (IOP)measurements are crucial for early detection. Treatment: Options include eye drops (to reduce IOP), laser therapy and surgery. Importance of Awareness: Vision loss/ blindness due to glaucoma is irreversible, but early intervention can slow its progression. Always go for regular eye exams(Eye pressure especially) and DONT allow it to make you go blind. It affects the young and the old and your eyes often feel good in the early stages! Blindness is no respecter of anyone: Isaac (Gen 27:1) and Prophet Eli(1 Sam 3:2) became blind! You can have healthy eyes in old age like Moses(Deut 34:7) who at age 120 had great vision! Let us all ensure we do our regular eye check-ups !

How did Judas really die? What did he use the money for? Did he hang himself or did he fall and his intestines gushed out? Did he buy a field or the chief priests did? Matthew 27 5 So Judas threw the money into the temple and left. Then he went away and hanged himself. 6 The chief priests picked up the coins and said, “It is against the law to put this into the treasury, since it is blood money.” 7 So they decided to use the money to buy the potter’s field as a burial place for foreigners Matthew’s account tells us that Judas returned the money to the Jews who used the money to buy land for the burial of foreigners! After dropping the money Judas went to hang himself ! Acts 1 15 In those days Peter stood up among the believers 16 and said, “Brothers and sisters, the Scripture had to be fulfilled in which the Holy Spirit spoke long ago through David concerning Judas, who served as guide for those who arrested Jesus. 17 He was one of our number and shared in our ministry.” 18 With the payment he received for his wickedness, Judas bought a field; there he fell headlong, his body burst open and all his intestines spilled out. Peter’s account tells us that Judas used the money to buy a field and that was where he fell with his head and his tummy burst open with his intestines spilling out! Was it from the hanging he fell and his abdomen burst open? What was he planning to use the field for? So he had an accident on the field and did not really commit suicide! Whose account do you think is most accurate? Peter or Matthew’s ? Bible scholars, Pastors and my learned friends over to you!

God wanted to kill Moses but his wife saved the situation! Exodus 4:24-26 24 At a lodging place on the way, the Lord met Moses and was about to kill him. 25 But Zipporah took a flint knife, cut off her son’s foreskin and touched Moses’ feet with it.”Surely you are a bridegroom of blood to me,” she said. 26 So the Lord let him alone. Men of God, Pastors and brothers, learn from Moses and Zipporah. Always carry your wives along in your spiritual journey and decision making! They will help you!

Abraham married Keturah, after the death of Sarah, at a very old age of 140yrs! Gen 25:1 He made love to his new wife multiple times and they were blessed with 6 sons! Gen 25:2 He died 35 yrs later at the ripe age of 175. Gen 25:7 Moral of the story: Don’t allow old age to damage your Sex life with your spouse! Eat healthy, exercise regularly and have frequent medical check ups! It is the will of God that couples enjoy each other even in old age!

God’s original idea was for men and women to be equal and have same rights and powers in marriage. It was the sin of Eve that made God give headship in marriage to the man! Genesis 3:16 16 To the woman he said, “I will make your pains in childbearing very severe; with painful labor you will give birth to children. Your desire will be for your husband, and he will rule over you.” God cursed Eve for her sin - Painful childbearing and labour. The second part of the curse was - ‘ Your desire will be for your husband ‘ - meaning all her life she will think more of the happiness and well being of her husband even if she has to sacrifice her own comfort and well being! God also cursed her with rulership of her husband! (‘Your husband will rule over you’) The above curses from God show that before falling into Sin , Adam and Eve were equal and they served each other selflessly! There was no ruler or head between them! Now that Jesus has come and died for our sins and lifted the curse of Adam and Eve, I believe the original plan of God for men and women should be reinstated in every true Christian marriage! Husbands and wives must see each other as equals and partners in the vineyard of God working together to raise godly children and a godly nation! God is an advocate of gender equality and that was his original plan!

He fell into fornication, got publicly rebuked, disgraced and demoted by the church and the rest is history ! The true life story of a Christian Youth leader in Nigeria. Brother K was a devout, fervent Christian believer and worker in the church. He served in the Youth department where he helped groom adolescents and teenagers in the way of the Lord in church! He was tall, strikingly handsome and a smart dresser! Even though he attended a church with strict laws on modest dressing , he made sure his modest outfits were well ironed and starched. He loved God! He was in church almost every evening after working as a teacher in the day! He was loved and admired by all! He was in his late twenties and single. He was the only Born again Christian in his family. He however mistakenly fell into fornication! The news got to the church leadership and they took decisive actions. The church pastor called him out during Sunday service and told the whole church how he fell into fornication, stripped him of his position, asked people to avoid him and that He prays God would restore him! Bro K was shattered. He wished the ground could open and swallow him! The embarrassment was too much for him to bear! All the young guys and converts he taught in church looked at him with disdain and disappointment! He continued coming to the church in the weeks that followed but you could see he was depressed. He avoided eye contact and became reclusive. Everyone avoided him - Nobody wanted to be seen with a publicly condemned sinner and backslider! About three months after the public rebuke, he couldn’t take it any longer! The mental torture was too much and he decided that rather than commit suicide he would leave church and Christianity and go into the world and find solace ! Bro K transitioned into a playboy! He used women to cure his depression! They loved him and helped him heal when the church deserted him! He hasn’t returned to the church, the last I heard of him! 2 Timothy 2:25 25 Be gentle when you try to teach those who are against what you say. God may change their hearts so they will turn to the truth.

Lessons for the Super Eagles and NFF: How Romario was stopped from going to the 2002 World Cup by his coach despite being the best player in South America , scoring 79 goals and pleas from the President of Brazil! Romario was the best player at the 1994 World Cup. He helped Brazil to win the cup and rightly won FIFA’s World best player 1994. He had a great time at Barcelona scoring loads of goals! He was immensely and insanely talented! He however had disciplinary issues. He loved to party! He loved women and wine! His coach in 2002 was Luis Felipe Scolari, he was a local coach then with no European experience! He was not as rich, influential or famous as Romario. Romario could probably pay his salary without creating any hole in his pocket! Romario was in red hot form, he was the best player in the Brazilian league and South America from 2000-2002 scoring 79 goals! Everybody including Pele and the President of the country believed he deserved to be in the World Cup 2002 team especially when you consider that Ronaldo and Rivaldo were just coming back from long term injuries! Scolari stopped Romario because he pulled out of the Brazil squad for the 2001 Copa América in Colombia. He told Scolari that he was having an eye operation, but played friendlies for club side Vasco da Gama in Mexico and went on holiday instead. Romário gave a televised news conference in which he made his case and apologised, bursting into tears three times. Scolari was unmoved and did not pick him, saying before his squad announcement that Romário's exclusion was "technical and tactical". After the announcement, he said that it was as a result of Romário's withdrawing from the Copa América: "People forget the details, but I do not. I almost got fired from the national team after the Copa América-Brazil had been beaten in the quarter-finals by Honduras Despite pleas from Brazil’s president at the time, Fernando Henrique Cardoso, Pele and the media ,coach Luiz Felipe Scolari remained firm in his decision, and Romário missed out on the World Cup for his nation! Brazil went on to win the World Cup justifying Scolari’s decision. When will a Nigerian local coach have so much powers? When will they have the full support of the federation to run the team without interference? Despite Romário’s tears and apologies, his local coach stuck to his guns and had the last laugh!

Bury me beside my wife, Leah in the same cave Abraham/ Sarah and Isaac/Rebecca were buried! The love Jacob later had for Leah was crazy! What happened to the love he had initially for Rachel? Gen 49 29 Then he gave them these instructions: “I am about to be gathered to my people. Bury me with my fathers in the cave in the field of Ephron the Hittite. 31 There Abraham and his wife Sarah were buried, there Isaac and his wife Rebekah were buried, and there I buried Leah. 33 When Jacob had finished giving instructions to his sons, he drew his feet up into the bed, breathed his last and was gathered to his people Rachel was buried on the way to Bethlehem. Genesis 35:19 “And Rachel died, and was buried in the way to Ephrath, which is Bethlehem.” Jacob honoured Leah by burying her with his fathers and mothers! He also asked to be buried beside her with his fathers/mothers! Initially, Jacob loved Rachel more than Leah. However, over time, he came to recognize Leah’s virtues. Leah was faithful, resilient, and a mother to many of Jacob’s children. Her steadfast love and commitment left a lasting impact on Jacob. Jacob’s choice to be buried near Leah underlines the transformation of his feelings and the recognition of Leah’s worth. It reminds us that true beauty lies not only in appearance but also in character and devotion. Eccl 3:1To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven. No condition is definitely permanent. The rejected stone has become the chief cornerstone! Are there other reasons you think Jacob accorded Leah this great honour? Kindly share in the comment section

Ban Osimhen for 6 months, reinstate Troost Ekong as playing Captain and Kenneth Omeruo as non-playing Captain. Bring in more hungry players and create more healthy competition in the team! Osimhen needs to be disciplined for his instagram rant. His disrespect for the gaffer and Nigerian fans must be reprimanded to forestall such from happening again and also prevent other players from doing same in the future. This will make all players realise that no player is bigger than the team and the country. This will also engender respect and caution among young people in Africa as Osimhen is a role model to many. Eric Cantona, an immensely gifted French footballer was banned from the national team because of his attitude ! Troost Ekong must be reinstated as the playing Captain of the team! Troost has all the trappings of a modern day Nigerian captain - He is handsome, tall, well built, foreign born , firm, empathetic, played in many countries and speaks many languages, dresses well with lovely tattoos, rich and well behaved! These are qualities the average Nigerian youth appreciate! This also applies to our players! Troost commands the respect of the foreign born players who see him as one of their own and also well respected by the Nigerian born players because he has all the qualities of a big boy! He also knows how to shout and calm down a player when necessary! He is also a very good defender with unalloyed loyalty to the country! Kenneth Omeruo must take over the position of non playing captain vacated by Ahmed Musa. He is the only Afcon winner in the team and the oldest in the team . He is well respected especially by the Nigerian born players! His presence in the team will help the dressing room immensely. He is also a decent defender ! We need more competition in the team! Elijah Adebayo of Luton, Samuel Omorodion of Athletico Madrid ( courted by Chelsea), Gift Orban ( Lyon) must be invited while Awoniyi(Nott forest) and Isaac Success( Udinese) must be recalled to compete with Victor Osimhen ! They should be used while he is serving his ban. Nwakali, Tella, Osho, Igoh Ogbu should also be invited.

I have carefully listened to many of Baba Adeboye’s testimonies over the years and I have noticed they tend to be self glorifying! They make him look like a special being above other Christians and children of God! They create fear in the hearts of the listeners and give him a demi-god aura! The glory is not completely given to God or Jesus! The testimony of a new breast growing after surgery: He talks about handkerchiefs from his meeting used on the woman. He later says congregants who he is their true daddy will do greater works! This is sadly self glorifying! Christ was not the emphasis! The testimony of drinking tea with God- self glorifying ! The testimony of driving on empty tank! Self glorifying! Testimony of winter being held because of him- self glorifying! Testimony of sisters who ate remnant of his food and subsequently getting all prayers answered- Self glorifying! This has created a god like status for him among Christians and his followers, to the extent people visit his old bedroom, chairs and beds at the camp to pray believing they will get miracles! Anything he touches , people want to touch ! It has become a form of idolatry Some of his followers unknowingly reverence him more than Christ! People may say Paul and the apostles’ handkerchiefs healed people but it was not a continuum . They never allowed themselves to be idolised and always made Jesus the focal point Isaiah 42:8: “I am the LORD; that is my name! I will not give my glory to anyone else, nor share my praise with carved idols Men of God are still men and can make mistakes. But who corrects a man who drank tea with God or who winter stood still for? Who has the liver? Nobody in the church I guess . That is the danger , because when they make mistakes , they won’t know and will unfortunately continue in that path! https://youtube.com/shorts/LapeavuD5Gk?si=Os08zlERIUMM_EVu https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2q3RqKdAwWI?si=wmPTvs1GY-8uKsj8

She was gorgeous and had a hot body, she was the favourite of her hubby yet she didn’t last in marriage! It appears beauty is not enough! Rachel was beautiful in face and body( Gen 29:17). Her physical appearance swept Jacob off his feet and he worked 14yrs to have her as wife! She was also a hardworking lady, a shepherdess(Gen 29:9). Jacob loved her work ethics. Rachel however had some flaws which probably because of her looks were overlooked by Jacob! 1- Stealing and Idolatry Gen 31: 19 When Laban had gone to shear his sheep, Rachel stole her father’s household gods. 2- Lying and deceit Gen 31:34,35 34 Now Rachel had taken the household gods and put them inside her camel’s saddle and was sitting on them. Laban searched through everything in the tent but found nothing. 35 Rachel said to her father, “Don’t be angry, my lord, that I cannot stand up in your presence; I’m having my period.” So he searched but could not find the household gods. 3- Jealousy Gen 30:1 When Rachel saw that she was not bearing Jacob any children, she became jealous of her sister. 4- Unhealthy Competition with her Sister Gen 30:7 Rachel’s servant Bilhah conceived again and bore Jacob a second son. 8 Then Rachel said, “I have had a great struggle with my sister, and I have won.” So she named him Naphtali. 5- Mental health struggles/Desperation Gen 30:1. So she said to Jacob, “Give me children, or I’ll die!” Rachel was an uncommon beauty but had her flaws just like all of us. She sadly died after the birth of her second son Benjamin! She sadly did not live long enough to enjoy her marriage! It was devastating for Jacob as well! Jacob unknowingly cursed Rachel to death when Laban pursued and asked about his stolen gods Gen 31:31,32 31 Jacob answered Laban, “I was afraid, because I thought you would take your daughters away from me by force. 32 But if you find anyone who has your gods, that person shall not live. ……Now Jacob did not know that Rachel had stolen the gods. Leah who was not favoured initially eventually became the number one and gave Jacob six sons and a daughter! Prov 31:30 Favour is deceitful, and beauty is vain: but a woman that feareth the Lord, she shall be praised.

It was love at first sight for Jacob. The moment he saw Rachel, he knew she was the one! He kissed her and wept for joy! He was ready to work for 7 years and even worked another 7 years to have her! What are the lessons for Christian sisters? Gen 29 9 He was still talking with them when Rachel came with her father’s sheep, for she cared for them. 10 When Jacob saw Rachel the daughter of his mother’s brother Laban….. 11 Then Jacob kissed Rachel and began to cry for joy. 12 Jacob told Rachel that he was of her father’s family, the son of Rebekah. And she ran and told her father 16 Now Laban had two daughters. The name of the older one was Leah, and the name of the younger one was Rachel. 17 Leah’s eyes were weak. But Rachel was beautiful in body and face. 18 Jacob loved Rachel. So he said, “I will serve you seven years for your younger daughter Rachel.” Jacob was swept off his feet by Rachel’s beautiful face and beautiful body!!!!(verse 17 and 18) Little wonder he wept for joy like a baby when he saw her ! Leah on the other hand had weak eyes, which probably means she wasn’t very attractive and didn’t have sparkle in her eyes! Another thing Jacob noticed was that Rachel was a shepherdess, taking care of her dad’s flock. She had a job! Moral of this story for our Christian sisters trying to get married. 1 -Always look good, dress well and have a beautiful smile. Christian brothers, no matter how holy , appreciate good looks just like Jacob! 2- Every woman is created beautifully with unique features, always wear clothes that bring the best of you! Dress modestly but with poise and panache! Remember Leah was weak in the eyes and not her body! She probably had a hot body that was not obvious to Jacob! 3- Have a job, no matter how small! All men including Christian brothers love and respect women that have a job and financially empowered! God bless all marriage eligible sisters with the men of their dreams- amen Are there other lessons you learnt from the story? Kindly share in the comments.

Victor Osimhen vs Finidi George; Could the star boy of Nigerian and African football have handled the situation with his manager, Finidi better? In hindsight, Victor Osimhen could have approached the situation differently to minimize conflict. Here are some ways he might have handled it better: Private Communication: Instead of venting on Instagram Live, Osimhen could have privately reached out to Finidi George. A one-on-one conversation allows for a more constructive exchange of views. Seeking Clarification: Osimhen could have asked Finidi directly about the alleged comments. Understanding the context and intent behind the remarks is essential before reacting. Remaining Professional: Publicly criticizing a coach can harm team dynamics and reputation. Osimhen could have expressed his feelings privately without damaging the team’s image. Emphasizing Team Goals: Remind players that the team’s success is paramount. Osimhen could have focused on how his return would benefit Nigeria’s World Cup campaign. Conflict Resolution Skills: Osimhen might have benefited from conflict resolution training. Learning effective communication and negotiation techniques can prevent escalations. All in all, emotions run high in football especially in defeats but handling conflicts with maturity and professionalism benefits everyone involved.

Why were younger brothers usually favoured over the older ones by God? Do you think this is still happening now? Some pastors talk about the ‘ curse of the first born’ ! What’s your experience like? God’s preference for younger siblings over older ones is a recurring theme in the Scriptures. Here are some instances: Jacob Jacob Over Esau: God chose Jacob (the younger twin) over Esau (the firstborn) to inherit the blessings of Abraham. This divine revelation emphasized God’s sovereignty, prevailing over customary rules of age. Abel Abel Over Cain: God accepted Abel’s offering over Cain’s, highlighting divine favor and the countercultural choice of the younger son. Joseph, Moses, and David: God chose Joseph (the 11th of 12 brothers) as a leader in Egypt, Moses (younger than Aaron) to lead the Israelites, and David (the youngest of 8 brothers) as king. Gideon and Solomon: God selected Gideon (the youngest in his family) to deliver Israel and Solomon (over older brothers) to be King. Ephraim Ephraim was favoured over Manasseh. When Jacob was blessing his grandkids he purposely crossed his hands and placed his right hand on Ephraim signifying that the younger son of Joseph would be greater than the older! Why do you think there appears to be a divine preference for the younger siblings? What are your experiences? Are your younger ones more successful? Pastors and Bible scholars, over to you!

Will Jews find it difficult to make heaven since they don’t believe Jesus is the son of God/Messiah? John 14:6 6 Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. What is the fate of our Jewish brethren in Israel practising Judaism and reading the Torah but don’t believe Jesus is the Way to the Father? Does it mean they won’t all make heaven? Bible scholars and pastors, over to you!

Did Abraham really love Sarah ? Why did you allow Pharaoh to take her as wife and sleep with her many times? Do you know Pharaoh rewarded him because he was having a swell time with her ? Why did he repeat the same thing with King Abimelek? Why was he self centred ? Gen 12: 10-20 10 Now there was a famine in the land, and Abram went down to Egypt to live there for a while because the famine was severe. 11 As he was about to enter Egypt, he said to his wife Sarai, “I know what a beautiful woman you are. 12 When the Egyptians see you, they will say, ‘This is his wife.’ Then they will kill me but will let you live. 13 Say you are my sister, so that I will be treated well for your sake and my life will be spared because of you.” 14 When Abram came to Egypt, the Egyptians saw that Sarai was a very beautiful woman. 15 And when Pharaoh’s officials saw her, they praised her to Pharaoh, and she was taken into his palace. 16 He treated Abram well for her sake, and Abram acquired sheep and cattle, male and female donkeys, male and female servants, and camels. 17 But the Lord inflicted serious diseases on Pharaoh and his household because of Abram’s wife Sarai. 18 So Pharaoh summoned Abram. “What have you done to me?” he said. “Why didn’t you tell me she was your wife? 19 Why did you say, ‘She is my sister,’ so that I took her to be my wife? Now then, here is your wife. Take her and go!” 20 Then Pharaoh gave orders about Abram to his men, and they sent him on his way, with his wife and everything he had. Verse 19: Why did u say she is my sister, so that I took her to be my wife - This shows Pharaoh married Sarah and was sleeping with her as a new wife! Verse 16: Pharaoh treated Abram well because of Sarah. He was really having a swell time with her and he rewarded Abraham bountifully with livestock and servants! Gen 20:2-4 2 and there Abraham said of his wife Sarah, “She is my sister.” Then Abimelek king of Gerar sent for Sarah and took her. 3 But God came to Abimelek in a dream one night and said to him, “You are as good as dead because of the woman you have taken; she is a married woman.” 4 Now Abimelek had not gone near her, so he said, “Lord, will you destroy an innocent nation? Abraham did the same thing here and he didn’t care whether King Abimelek slept with Sarah so far he is alive . If not that God intervened that night she would have slept with him. This just shows that these guys though Bible icons are humans with flaws like us! Many people believe Abraham didn’t really love Sarah and it was more of a master- servant relationship ! Jesus is the only perfect one and he should be our only role model!

Many Pastors who performed many miracles, prophesied and drove demons in the name of Jesus WILL NOT MAKE HEAVEN! Matthew 7:21-23 21 “Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. 22 Many will say to me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name and in your name drive out demons and in your name perform many miracles?’ 23 Then I will tell them plainly, ‘I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!’ This shows that having spiritual gifts is not enough to make heaven! Performing great miracles in His name is not enough! Prophesying and driving all the demons are not enough! Matt 25:41-46 41 “Then he will say to those on his left, ‘Depart from me, you who are cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels. 42 For I was hungry and you gave me nothing to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me nothing to drink, 43 I was a stranger and you did not invite me in, I needed clothes and you did not clothe me, I was sick and in prison and you did not look after me.’ 44 “They also will answer, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry or thirsty or a stranger or needing clothes or sick or in prison, and did not help you?’ 45 “He will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did not do for one of the least of these, you did not do for me.’ 46 “Then they will go away to eternal punishment, but the righteous to eternal life.” How many of these mega pastors look out for the health, welfare and feeding of their members? How many will readily sell their jets or luxury cars to help their suffering members? Jesus emphasized the importance of a personal relationship with Him and obedience to His teachings. Spiritual gifts are essential, but salvation hinges on faith, repentance, and following Jesus completely!

General overseers need to treat local church pastors the way Jesus treated his disciples ! The average salary of a pastor in Nigeria is 30,000 to 40,000 Naira ( 30-40USD) a month! How can a pastor with a family survive on this? With the prevailing conditions in the country, GOs need to up their pay. These pastors are crying and unhappy ! Many of them work full time and don’t have any other source of income! These pastors have to also ensure that a large percentage of income generated in church through tithes and offerings are sent to the headquarters on a weekly basis! I have had some of these devoted pastors tell me how they feel sad that the headquarters takes almost everything and they have little or nothing to run their local churches! I find this preposterous, someone slaves away to build a local ministry and sends almost everything to the headquarters for the big boy at the top to live large with his family! GOs are not more important, special or better than any child of God. Gal 3: 28 There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female; for ye are all one in Christ Jesus. The General overseers in the headquarters fly private jets, drive bulletproof luxury cars and live a life of luxury while the foot soldiers( pastors in local churches) wallow in poverty! Jesus was difficult to separate from his disciples because they had the same quality of life hence the need to have a Judas betray him when the time arose. I am looking forward to a time when it will be difficult to separate pastors of local branches from the GOs. A time when they will all wear same quality of suits, drive same quality of cars, have access to fly the private jets and also have same quality of life! That is when I will be convinced the GOs really want to be like Jesus! All in all, General overseers need to be more considerate and put less financial pressure on their pastor foot soldiers. They should also pay them decent salaries(minimum of 100k/mth and ensure the financial gap between them and their pastors is significantly narrowed! Mark 10:43-45 43 But among you it will be different. Whoever wants to be a leader among you must be your servant, 44 and whoever wants to be first among you must be the slave of everyone else. 45 For even the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve others and to give his life as a ransom for many. Kindly share so this will get to the GOs!

After wiping out all the men, Moses asked Israeli soldiers to eliminate all the boys and all the non virgin women and keep the virgin girls for themselves! Why was Moses so mean to his wife’s people, the Midianites? Numbers 31 14 Moses was angry with the officers of the army.. 15 “Have you allowed all the women to live?” he asked them. 16 “They were the ones who followed Balaam’s advice and enticed the Israelites to be unfaithful to the Lord in the Peor incident, so that a plague struck the Lord’s people. 17 Now kill all the boys. And kill every woman who has slept with a man, 18 but save for yourselves every girl who has never slept with a man. If you were Moses’ wife, would u still love your husband after destroying your people? Would you be happy seeing virgin girls of your country used as sex slaves by the Israeli? Was that the reason Moses took a Cushite wife?

Giving to the poor is more important than paying tithes/sowing seeds/first fruit ! Jesus told the young rich child of God to sell All and give to the poor! Jesus could have asked him to pay his huge tithe, first fruit or sow a big seed to His ministry! He rather asked him to sell all and give to the poor! Matt 19:21 21 Jesus answered, “If you want to be perfect, go, sell your possessions and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. Then come, follow me.” Let us learn from Jesus our Lord and ensure we prioritise helping the poor in our church and communities! God values it more!

This law of Moses is too mean! Thank God Jesus came to liberate us from the Old Testament! Many boys would have been stoned to death in Lagos! Deut 21:18-21 18 “If a man has a stubborn and rebellious son who will not obey the voice of his father or the voice of his mother, and, though they discipline him, will not listen to them, 19 then his father and his mother shall take hold of him and bring him out to the elders of his city at the gate of the place where he lives, 20 and they shall say to the elders of his city, ‘This our son is stubborn and rebellious; he will not obey our voice; he is a glutton and a drunkard.’ 21 Then all the men of the city shall stone him to death with stones. So you shall purge the evil from your midst, and all Israel shall hear, and fear. |
Rich Pastors and Christians will find it difficult making heaven !!! Matthew 19:23-24 23 Then Jesus said to his disciples, “Truly I tell you, it is hard for someone who is rich to enter the kingdom of heaven. 24 Again I tell you, it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for someone who is rich to enter the kingdom of God.” Why did Jesus say this? Let’s look at the preceding verses? 16 Just then a man came up to Jesus and asked, “Teacher, what good thing must I do to get eternal life?” 17 “Why do you ask me about what is good?” Jesus replied. “There is only One who is good. If you want to enter life, keep the commandments.” 18 “Which ones?” he inquired. Jesus replied, “‘You shall not murder, you shall not commit adultery, you shall not steal, you shall not give false testimony, 19 honor your father and mother,’and ‘love your neighbor as yourself.’ 20 “All these I have kept,” the young man said. “What do I still lack?” 21 Jesus answered, “If you want to be perfect, go, sell your possessions and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. Then come, follow me.” 22 When the young man heard this, he went away sad, because he had great wealth. 23 Then Jesus said to his disciples, “Truly I tell you, it is hard for someone who is rich to enter the kingdom of heaven. 24 Again I tell you, it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for someone who is rich to enter the kingdom of God.” This rich young man was a child of God faithfully keeping his commandments just like many Christians and Pastors today and he was so confident of his stance in God and asked Jesus what he could do to get eternal life! When Jesus told him to sell ALL his properties and GIVE TO THE POOR and then follow him, he walked away Sad! As a pastor or Christian flying private jets, driving expensive cars and living a life of luxury, Jesus is saying, Sell All and give to the poor and follow him! Jesus said to attain perfection and build treasure in heaven u must do this! This appears difficult and unfair to rich Christians? The disciples thought so as well. Let’s see their reaction in the verses that followed: 25 When the disciples heard this, they were greatly astonished and asked, “Who then can be saved?” 26 Jesus looked at them and said, “With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible. Jesus explained that it may look difficult naturally but with God’s help it is possible! We can invariably conclude from the teachings of Christ here that if you are a pastor living a life of luxury, flying jets and helicopters and some of your members are poor , heaven will be difficult to make for you! These are words directly from the mouth of Jesus who will decide whether we make heaven! His words are superior to any prophet, king , preacher or apostle in the Bible or in contemporary times!
