Foreign AffairsSaudi Arabia: Prince Turki Saud-al-kabir Executed For Murder by dafuturis(op): 9:26pm On Oct 18, 2016
A prince from the Saudi royal family was executed on Tuesday for murdering a man during a brawl in the capital Riyadh, the Interior Ministry announced.

The execution of Prince Turki Saud-al-Kabir is an extremely rare case of a member of the conservative kingdom’s ruling family being put to death.

The Interior Ministry stated that “in announcing this, we want to affirm to all that the Kingdom’s government is determined to establish security.
“It will bring about justice and implement God’s law against all those who attack the innocent.”
Meanwhile, local media reported that the killing for which the prince was executed took place in 2012.

The media indicated that Prince Turki’s death sentence was upheld by the Appeal Court and the High Court.

Another royal prince welcomed the news, in the first public reaction from a member of the ruling family.

Prince Khaled Al Saud said “this is God’s law, and the way of our blessed kingdom. May God have mercy on the killer and his victim.”
A report says the execution brings to 128 the number of persons put to death so far in the country this year.

Saudi Arabia, which applies strict interpretation of Islamic law, is among the top executioners in the world, according to international rights groups.

On Jan. 2, authorities beheaded 47 people, including a prominent Shiite cleric, on terrorism-related charges, leading to furious protests from regional rival Iran and criticisms from rights groups.

Saudi Arabia imposes the death penalty for offences including murder, armed robbery, banditry, rape, drug-trafficking and witchcraft.

Who among these coaches won UEFA Champions league more than once[Mourinho, Ancelloti, Guardiola, All of the above?] At what age did Nelson Mandela die? And questions of such mostly related to African writers, countries and African people in general

You have to unroot your phone first
Thanks

I read online that I can install the update and still retain root with an app called "flashfire". The app unroots and restore root after updating so far bootloader of the device is unlocked.

Don't know if anyone has tried it here before? so I confirm it workability.

The most ignored Niger Delta militant group ever.

What do you expect from a former chairman of one of our numerous commercial banks which solely depend on government patronage. Emiefele has to put Nigeria first before Zenith bank.

Next time when appointing CBN governor look outside Nigerian banks.

He is not far from the truth.

If PDP had given us just Power
or just an enviable transport system
or just security of lives and property
or strong institutions that could function on their own without executive or legislative or judicial interference
or a world class educational system
or ............................................ or even a United Nigeria

but No
instead They gave us exact opposites of the above with a very robust imaginary largest economy in Africa that was evident only on NOI papers.

Importation of refined fuel accounts for 30-40% of our Forex demands, Dangote refineries @650,000 barrels/day eliminates that, coupled with some other refineries that'd be on stream in 2-3 years . . . that means we might likely be exporting as much as over 500,000 barrels per day of refined fuel -- Forex income! Tie in Dangote fertilizer, sugar, and rice mill (and other rice mills) eliminating need for Forex for those items. Dangote refineries is being engineered to deliver enough MW for the refineries and probably the whole of Lagos -- with improved power supply, comes reduced fuel consumption and a bustling and thriving economy -- luring investors in. #nairawins

I can go on, but lets leave it here for now . . .
Alright. Was thinking all those will only stabilize the naira and not substantially increasing it value against the dollar.
anyway, good to know your assumption is plausible. I'm interested in anything that will give value to the naira.

What's Gr5?

Download ifonts
Huawei GR5 or honor 5x android phone.

I've downloaded ifonts already, it changes the theme without applying the font.

modified
problem solved, I didn't set it to system mode earlier.
though it didn't fully express like I would want it to. for instance NL front page topics still has stock font but user comments adopted custom fonts, same thing with whatsApp.
I'm suspecting its because the font selected isn't large, just 86.7kb. is my suspicion accurate?

thanks a bunch

PassingShot:
You'd think being educated translates to being well informed. Unfortunately the first doesn't guarantee the later.
Anyone who keeps saying we should stop blaming GEJ is being economical with the truth. The truth is GEJ wrecked Nigeria with his handling of the economy. He didn't have to blame anyone before him because NO ONE ELSE had been so clueless, dull and Ineffectual as himself.

If we still have any truly sane man doubting that Nigeria would have been long grounded had GEJ managed to rig himself in, such person needs to be constantly reminded where the Ineffectual Buffoon left us:
1. The IB was already borrowing to pay salaries when crude was selling at $75 per barrel. At $40 per barrel, what miracle will he have done?

2. The paper Economist, who supervised crashing of the economy clearly stated that Nigerians should brace up for tough times ahead the moment crude fell to around $65 per barrel. Does tough times mean merry making times at $40 per barrel?

3. Despite earning unprecedented amounts from crude, the IB couldn't grow our reserves but even embezzled what he met.

4. About 28 of 36 States were owing their workers for up to eight months in some cases and there was already hunger in the land. Why didn't GEJ bail them out? Had Buhari not come to intervene just about three months into his tenure, what would have happened to those workers then?

Recently, the Gele woman who couldn't choose to resign to protect her name, revealed in a well publicized video that GEJ had zero will to save. Where there's shame, she will apologize to Nigerians for wasting our resources in times of abundance.

Nigerians indeed lack capacity for critical thinking. And it's the reason we will continue to be taken for a ride by the looters. We see those who genuinely are working for our betterment as enemies while blindly praising the real enemies as benefactors just because of crumbs of today. This is indeed very shameful!
Truth be told, Nigeria overtime has had feeble minded legislators but we've never had one so highly unintelligent with incredibly low IQ as Ben Murray Bruce.

Sharap there again.
How much was oil sold for the period that OBJ inherited a totally dilapidated economy ?
What did he do?
Obj didn't invite his extended family to run the economy.
He invited tested technocrats who took the bull by horns to stabilize and grow the economy.
He didn't run his administration by propaganda.
And he took responsibility for the affairs of the nation.
What we have today is a pathetic excuse for a leader.
A certified and unabashed NEPOTIST who doesn't know the first thing about leadership: Taking responsibility.
Buhari will earn the historical epithet as " Buhari The Blameless ".
Anyone still making excuses for Buhari, a year and half into his administration Should be thoroughly ashamed of him or herself.
Go back to your economics textbooks, read topics on population and economy size then you will know how unintelligent you sound to compare OBJ Nigeria and present day Nigeria.

TonyeBarcanista:
The reason why some of us are still angry at Obasanjo is the fact the he brought Yar'adua/GEJ on PDP, conducted flawed election in 2007 to produce them as President/VP(The worst in our history), and refused to allow the electoral process to be like the economy where good and people-serving leaders can emerged.
You're completely right, OBJ's love for power probably may have ruined his economic gains in the long run had he been gifted third term, then fourth..... till we become like several other African countries.

kudos on the article. you did a great Job.
PoliticsRe: Appreciating The Administrations Of Obasanjo, Yar'adua, Jonathan, And Buhari by dafuturis(m):
Quite worrisome that no one has specifically pinpointed Yar' Adua to be the killer starter pack of our post-military economy.

OBJ was futuristic in his works same thing you will immediately observe with Buhari.

-He had privatised Egbin power station and our refineries, Yar' Adua came and reversed them.

-He had successfully deregulated the downstream sector of our petroleum industry, yar' Adua reversed it.

-He had laid a foundation to tackle corruption and mindless looting of public funds via EFCC and ICPC, Yar'Adua came onboard, first thing he did was remove Nuhu Ribadu and closed corruption cases of several governors thereby derailing the progress made by OBJ. further decay it was during GEJ's tenure as both agencies were non existent.

Yar' Adua practically took us 10years backward after OBJ. if he hadn't reversed OBJ's deregulation of the downstream sector GEJ gov wont have had a subsidy flatform to steal trillions of Naira. private refineries would today be competiting to sell cheaper just like we have in the telecommunication industry.

significant improvement in power generation, transmission and distribution it may have been today if the privatization was sustained with appropriate government regulations.

Yar'Adua of blessed memory was damn so peaceful, slow and vissionless. He left leaving us with a Ph.D holder more vissionless, clueless and monstrously incompetent. Who sat and watch his subordinates loot the nation dry to her bones with reckless abandon.
