BusinessRe: Is Cyber Cafe Business Going Extinct In Nigeria? by dagboss(m): 8:56am On Sep 30, 2011
Like some contributors have said cafes can still be set up, but the key word is that you have to make it very attractive and con fortable, but sha o with all these cheap modems, internet access both on normal phone (some Chincos inclusive) and smart phones you will need to have your wits with you and some fasting and prayers to make it viable. As for me and my children o bye bye to cafe.

I used to think that modern medicine limits CS to only three and furthermore whether you have a boy or not will not prevent your husband from cutting shows outside if he is the type. You know African Society is essentially polygamist but Christianity and Oyinbo culture is checkmating us African nay Naija men. But sha o madam no kill yourself maybe you have another Okonjo Iweala among those three daughters, you never can tell, just ensure that you join hands with your husband to give them the best education money can buy and give them proper home training, you will never regret ka Chineke meziokwu.

Car TalkI Need Advice On Acura Mdx 2002-2004 by dagboss(op): 10:46pm On Sep 27, 2011
I am saving to buy an Acura MDX SUV between 2002-2004 preferably a three row type. As for the price, most of the adverts i have come across on this segment and enquiries i have made from dealers in Lagos here and Ibadan place the possible cost at N2.1m--. But the areas where i need experts opinions are: reliability, is the MDX naturally problematic are the parts readily available, are they costly, can it use Honda parts because i heard it is a Honda product and above all can any Japanese specialized auto mechanic handle it? Please buddies like Sienna, Phemmy et al this is where i need your input i have been following your technical advice over time i know you will assist, thanks. By 2nd week of October i should be ready to hit the market
AutosRe: Advise Is Urgently Needed On 1999 Volvo by dagboss(m): 8:54am On Sep 27, 2011
Bravo! One of our auto Gurus in Nairaland @Femmy has said it all i just want to chip in my own personal experience on Volvo cars. I started with a 740 you know it? I used a Tokunbo for about 2 and a half years i dropped it for my wife when i was leaving for Liberia, i stayed 18 months there my wife never complained about it apart from normal servicing. When i came back it was still as reliable, but i had to sell it off because my children mishandled the door paddings which were not available in the market. This encouraged me to go for another model 940 which i bought since 2008 up till now it is still working like when i bought it as Tokunbo and the fuel consumption is like any other car model. The sum-up of my long story is that Volvo cars are rugged and more reliable than most of the other car models for which Nigerians rush at and pay more than necessary. The only two minuses Volvo models have are: good mechanics are not many and above all they dont have good second hand value and this is understandable because of the usual stereotypes assigned ignorantly to the model. Volvo mechanics and parts are available in large quantity in Volvo line at Ladipo. Go for it my Bros or sis i bet you will not regret if you did wink wink

@ Velo10

In as much as I condemn domestic violence in all ramifications, I have learnt not to jump to conclusion on this case. I have also learnt not to be misled by the media. the hype by the media is disheartening. I believe in my hard earned fact before I draw conclusions.

Nigerian Press is packed full of armchair reporters they listen to wouldbe eye witnesses without doublechecking their stories before rushing to file their news story. Believe  a Naija newspaper story intoto then you will believe anything and you may end up being totally misled QED.

PropertiesRe: Landlord Tests Lagos Tenancy Law, Ejects 18 Tenants by dagboss(m): 1:10pm On Sep 10, 2011
The Landlord should have handled the matter in a more civilised way. As for the tennants that claimed they had millions under their pillows, that claim is typically Nigerian. Check out these two real life examples: one came to my office while i was in Ibadan that somebody assaulted him and he lost a N120,000 Nokia phone, while the other one, a stupid pastor threw out his poor Igbo tennant's properties after breaking into his room in his (tennant's) absence, I know the tests and questions i threw at the duo that they never mentioned about the said losses till the matters were resolved. When a Nigerian reports that somebody slaps him the next thing he/she will say after is that he had N100,000 on him that time and it has vanished. Nigeria we hail thee

Satellite TV TechnologyRe: DSTV Office Sealed Over N130m Tax Arrears by dagboss(m): 11:43am On Sep 07, 2011
Serves them right. Upon all the huge money they make from Nigerians they cannot pay their taxe. Can they try that in their home country? Stupid shylocks. Anyway I don not blame them OBJ and Nweke Junior created a big opportunity for Hitv to compete with them, but i heard the owner was busy building a mansion in Ajah or Lekki to the extent that he has now lost everything even Champions league. We want foreign investors but not these South Africans remember they own MTN with their high tarrif. They do things they cannot do in their country to Nigerians

PoliticsRe: Bomb Blast At United Nation Abuja -- BREAKING NEWS by dagboss(m): 9:25am On Aug 29, 2011
@Ponama

The internet is quit large and if you do not want that, you can go to a libary near you, pick a quran if you can and go through the text. Then you would see that islam is peace all the way. So because people mention islam this day at the very mention of anything violent does not stamp that as the religion that was brought forth to mankind 1432 years ago.

Though i have heard it severally over the years that the Holy Quran preaches peace jut like other important world religions, but close your eyes for about a minute and view the map of the world and mark all the regoins, or countries where terrorism preavails and tell me anyone of them that is not an Islamic nation or Islam dominated one, then my fear will be baseless. There should be something manifestly wrong somewhere why this is so. In any case have you ever seen the Saudi Arabian flag? One of the main components in the design is a sword and some Arabic inscriptions (maybe this means "kill all the infidels and the creoles"  grin grin grin as the case may be. I dont know maybe a good Islamic scholar will be able to educate us

Please dont write off his/her own opinion like that you never know this incident may be a fall-out from the senseless, irrational, ill-advised recognition of the Transitional Government of Libya by bross Jona. I said it just yesterday that this man may not be the right choice for this country he has been taking too many wrong steps of late. Shiooooo
