Danmasani, would you recommend that the North become independent? Because I know just about everyone that lives in the south cringes at the thought of power return back to Fulani/Hausa group. To make matters worse, you ruin the image of the state by implementing backward Islamofacist laws (Sharia) that even Arabian states don't have.

Hausas and Fulanis need to realise that the only reason you people are muslim is because you got your ass kicked by the invading Jihadist about 400 years ago. Stop going out of your way to support Allah or Jesus. You are corrupted by these <<wrong>> religions.

Its funny how Africans are quick to copy things that do not matter from the west and the east (Islam and Christianity), but when it comes time to copying things that really matters (Agriculture and machinical knowlege) you take your time. A lot of the eastern Asian (Japan and South Korea) countries that have booming economies are not Christian or Muslim. They were too busy copying things that matter like automobile technology and improved communication technology instead of bowing down to the stupid western and eastern gods that are no more superior to our traditional gods back home.

I'm sorry I if I offend anyone by my words, but lets face it, you are not muslim or christian just because you saw the "light". Your ancestors were forced to adopt the faith of the invaders and they passed on the madness to the next generation.

If the North was not part of Nigeria, I assure that the country would be a lot better place to live. The Northern Generals have wrecked the state. It seems like the Northerners are the only ones interested in keeping Nigeria as one.

Also, the Northern people (those in the Sharia States and those that went on Islamic riots) are making Nigeria look like it is filled with islamofacist people. That kind of image has cost the State millions of jobs. And also, dont kid yourself, I am not the only southerner that wants the Northerners out of the Union.

I do not consider the Hausas and Fulanis my "brothers". Death to the North!!

It is interesting to see the thugs come out when there is a civilized government in place. If the Nation goes into Anarchy and the degenerate generals use this as an opportunity to stage a coup, I wonder if the MEND and others would be "brave" enough to fight against a military regime.

IBB needs to be killed. As long as Nigerians show that they are unwilling to kill those that steal from the country, our economy would continue to suck. In fact, all the ex Millitary dictators should be forced to account for where they got all their wealth. Those that fail to provide sufficient evidence that they recieved it in a fair manner should be shot.

We all know that Nigeria is a failed State. The economy is poor, the roads are bad, the entire nation is easily engulfed in violent protests over cartoons that insult the god of the Arabs e.t.c.

Well, what can we do to fix the problem. The underlying problem of Nigeria is that the people that inhabit the country were never meant to be together. And what is even more sad is that the solution to Nigerias problems is shown to us every time we look at the map of the country. Divide Nigeria into 3 semi-independant or fully independant nations. The country can easily be split into 3 by using the rivers. Once this is done, I think you will be hard pressed to find any Yoruba, Edo or other minority groups in the south-west that would not put in that extra 50 percent knowing that there is almost no possibility of the Malams in the North gaining anything significant from it.

Colonialism was terrible for the continent and every Nigerian should know that. Why the hell are Yorubas, Hausas and Ibos in the same freakin country? What kind of slowpoke would do this.

Everyone whines about why Africans don't like each other and completely ignore that they are forced to live with groups that have routinely invaded their territories (See: Yoruba and Hausa).

The Maps of the entire West Africa, Central Africa and Eastern Africa needs to be redrawn. It is completely wrong. Why are Yorubas and the people of Dahomey in seperate countries? Why are people in Benin city not considered Yorubas even though they have been ruled by Yoruba kings for hundreds of years?

When the colonial maps were being drawn, it is clear that they did not pay any regards to people that lived there.

I am tired of dealing with the Hausa Gernerals/Muslims in North. And while I have no personal problems with the Igbos, I feel they deserve to have their own country. Nigeria is in its current situation because no one is willing to work for the good of the entire country. So, divide the country up into a size that people will be willing to work for. Split the country into 3 zone along the lines of the rivers.

Nigeria is a failed State. Its funny how Nigerians living outside the country are quick to deny that it is.

Nigeria needs to be split u p into three pieces (using the 2 rivers). Then what ever area provides resources should get to keep 75 percent of it.

As Nigeria is now, its very easy to pass the blame to the Hausas, Yorubas or Ibos, but once the country is split into 3, each area would have only themselves to blame for when things go wrong. As for the smaller minority groups, they can join along the majority of ethnic group in their zone (1 out of the 3 zones) they share a lot in common with the majority (See: Yoruba, Itsekery and Edo).
