Unprecedented Turnout As MC Papi's Comedy & Lifestyle Ends In Huge Success

The long anticipated Comedy & Lifestyle With MC Papi has finally come to an end amidst high record of success.

It was a refreshing experience for entertainment lovers who trooped out in their large numbers to grace the event, which is the major one being organised by Osazee Samuel Aikhionbare popularly known as MC Papi in Abuja, the nation's capital.

With the theme, "The Set Time”, the prestigious Transcorp Hilton hotel Abuja witnessed an unusual turnout of high profile individuals, including business executives, politically exposed persons, and top rated entertainers who came out in solidarity with one of their own.

The event spearheaded by MC Papi Entertainment in collaboration with House of Structure on Oct 29 got Abuja residents deeply excited and satisfied as they expressed how their expectations were met.

The entertainment was explosive as guests rolled on the floor with barrage of funny jokes from the likes of Kenny Blaq, Dan D’Humorous, Shortcut, MC Bob, Sarkin Dariya, Chuks D General, Koboko Master, MC Casino, MC Monica and more who thrilled the guests.

There was so much fun, networking and a lot to eat and drink amidst so much relaxation.

MC Papi has been in the business for a number of years and has assisted in brokering new grounds for the industry in Abuja, in addition to the discovery of new talents, which accounts for the huge success of the event.

There was also rain of cash of various currencies at the event. The stage became mounted with loads of cash.

High point was the ritualistic introduction of MC Papi in a rich, aesthetic African way, with a properly panned costume and cast.

It looked more like a Nollywood scene, as the colourful introduction wowed the guests.

Recall that there was a total ticket sold out across the ticket outlets around the Abuja, creating fear that many fun seekers may be left out.

But the organisers ensured that no one was left behind as all arsenals were deployed to make sure they had their tickets.

MC Papi expressed gratitude to his guests and colleagues for coming through for them, assuring that more of it would come.

It was a night of glitz and glamour as prominent Nigerians stepped out in colourful attires at the prestigious Transcorp Hilton to be recognised for their outstanding contributions towards sustenance of democracy.

Top among the awardees at the 2023 edition of Democracy Hero's Award Africa organised by Face of Democracy Nigeria (FDN) include, Chairman of BUA Group, Abdulsamad Rabiu, Governor of Katsina State, Dikko Umaru Radda, First Lady of Edo State, Betsy Obaseki, Senator Solomon Olamilekan Yayi and others.

The award on Saturday, October 18, 2023 which has as the theme, "The Power Of Togetherness"saw winners emerge through keenly contested online electioneering process.

Speaking at the event, the Project Director FDN, Olufunsho Ajagbonna aka Fajag noted that the exercise is designed to celebrate the heroes and democracy as he stated that some individuals who have made immense contributions towards building Nigeria's democracy have not been adequately recognised.

According to him, it was equally open to Humanitarians, entrepreneurs, business and political leaders whose contributions have helped in entrenching stability through job creation, youth empowerment and poverty alleviation measures.

Some of the awardees include Hon Ahmed Munir, Hon Bello EL-RUFAI, Hon Abdullahi Aliyu Armed, Permanent Secretary Ministry Agric Ernest Omakihe, African Business woman Fifi Ejindu, Makinde Araoye, Dr. Ladislas Prosper Agbesi, Hon Usman Muheeden BAMIDELE OLOUNWA, Engr Bala Mohammed Chairman Barms & City, Baffi Furnitures.

The well-attended event witnessed array of entertainments, ranging from dance troupes, comedians, music artistes, all targeted at giving the awardees and their invited guests a spicy night.

Apart from the topnotch co-ordination, the stage decoration was superb as the beautifully dressed guests networked, building new friendship and possible associates.

Presence of politically exposed persons, elite, and top businessmen was not in short supply with a heavy presence of security to ensure the safety of everyone.

The red carpet was one of the most colourful anywhere, as the hostesses put in a beautiful outlook.

High presence of media organization was also felt, to give it the needed publicity it deserves.

Cash Rain As Miss Amnesty Nigeria 2023 Winner Grabs N1m, Lots Of Consolation Prizes

The 2023 winner of the Miss Amnesty International Pageant, Miss Vivian Kanus has grabbed the star prize of N1m and other other items as the annual event concludes in Bayelsa.

Participants equally used the opportunity to acquire new skills ranging from hair making and wigging, Gele tying, Fashion Design, Catering, make up, Disinfectant Making, Soap making and Bleach Making.

Others are Art Work, graphic design, catering, Organic Soap making, baking and more.

The 12 participants who took part in exercise were camped at Green Villa Apartments for one week where they were taken on the different skills acquisition.

During the grand finale in Yenegoa, the contestants made first appearance on their skills presentation, beautifully dressed in the attire representing their skills.

Their second appearance was on all white taking on different topics like Female Exploitation, Gender Equality, Challenges of Women in Politics, Gender Roles, Gender Dysphoria, Gender Discrimination, Gender Mainstreaming, Domestic Violence etc

Apart from the overall winner, top four participants include, Constance Christopher(Miss Amnesty Entrepreneur), Divine Onyekachi( Miss Amnesty Top Model) Marvin Lucky(Miss Amnesty Diaspora) and Emily Agundu( Miss Amnesty Peace)

The Big Break Moment Africa Set To Host the Biggest Campus Mountain Hike With Helicopter In Abuja with Lots of Top Celebrities.

Organisers of the long-expected campus mountain hike have held talks with the Commissioner of Police in charge of FCT command, CP Haruna Garba where talks centered around security for participants of the sporting exercise.

Popular music artists, Nollywood actors, and socialites are expected to be among the participants in what may be the biggest campus mountain hike ever, taking place in Abuja.

The delegation that met with the CP at the command's headquarters in Abuja was led by the lead organizer, Mr. Tayo of Big Break Moment.

Receiving the team, the Commissioner of Police, CP Garba assured them that adequate security measures have been made for the safety of everyone taking part in the exercise.

According to him, officers and men of the command have been mobilized to provide adequate cover for all.

The mountain hike, a potential Guinness Book of Record adventure, is an initiative of Big Break Moment in collaboration with the University of Abuja Students Union Government (SUG).

Coming up on Saturday, September 30 at the main campus of the University of Abuja, a helicopter has been made available for high-profile participants at the event.

The African Women Conference (AWC), has announced a new venue for the 7th Edition of the conference, scheduled to hold from October 25-27, 2023.

This year’s conference will now hold in Adis Ababa, the Ethiopia capital with the theme: Reviewing the Economic, Social and Political Inclusion of Women and Girls in Africa's Development Agenda.

A press statement issued by the Co-convener of AWC and founder of Helpline Foundation for the Needy Abuja, Dr. Jumai Ahmadu, and made available to journalists, stated that the change of venue from Mauritius to Ethiopia was as a result of response from many of the participants and partners.

"It’s with excitement and gratitude that we announce a significant update to the highly anticipated 7th edition of the Africa Women Conference.

"In our relentless pursuit of excellence and engagement, and in response to the feedback from many of our participants and partners, we have made a thoughtful decision to change the location of the conference from Mauritius to Ethiopia. 

"This change in host country is not just a change in geography, it is an upgrade to an experience," the statement added.

While giving justification for the choice of Ethiopia, Ahmadu stated that Ethiopia is not only a hub of African unity, but the oldest independent country in Africa and the cradle of civilization.

According to her; "Ethiopia is more importantly, home to the African Union headquarters, thereby placing the AWC at the heart of African diplomacy and cooperation".

She continues, "As you all know, the AWC is designed to proffer Afrocentric policy options to the challenges that African women face, and part of our strategy is to engage the stakeholders who have the authority to consider and implement these policy options and ensure that our voices are heard.

"The positioning of the AWC 7th edition will further amplify our collective voices and influence on the subjects that matter most to women’s advancement in Africa".

The Co-convener also noted that Ethiopia offers more favourable travel connections for diverse participants from across the world, adding that this would not only reduce travel time, but it would also open new opportunities for cultural and business exchange for delegates and counterparts in Ethiopia.

"Also major stakeholders in Ethiopia have shown support and commitment to pushing the vision of the AWC and improving the participation experience of all members and delegates.

Benefactor of Benefactors: RATTAWU Honours Chief Kenneth Ifekudu With Man of the Year Award

Radio, Television, Theatre and Arts Workers' Union of Nigeria (RATTAWU) has honoured the CEO, Diamond Leeds Ltd, High Chief Kenneth Ifekudu (Agbalanze Onyekachukwu na Ozubulu) with the prestigious award of Man of the Year.

Tagged Benefactor of Benefactors, the award is in recognition of his humanitarian activities across the country which have affected the lives of numerous people.

The award was conferred on Chief Ifekudu on Sunday, September 24 in Awka Anambra state.

Chief Ifekudu who was physically present in the company of his family and loved ones expressed gratitude to the leadership of RATTAWU for recognizing what he does to touch the lives of Nigerians.

He assured that he would continue to lend support in lifting the less privileged and those in need in the Nigerian society.

Chief Ifekudu was in the twilight of the past administration honoured with the award of Officer of the Order of the Federal Republic (OFR).

Not long ago, he embarked on four major projects in Ozubulu in Ekwusigo Local Government Area of Anambra State.

The projects include, construction of Obialigbo lock-up shops, erosion control in most affected parts of the community, road construction in Eziora Ozubulu and lighting up of Ozubulu villages with all-in-one solar-powered street lights.

Speaking at the ceremony, Chief Ifekudu said the projects is one of the ways to appreciate his community that gave birth to him and raised him to the level he has come in life.

According to him, the community has been subjected to several infrastructural challenges despite its commercial viability, noting that the projects are targeted at bringing relief to the people Ozubulu.

Actress and model, April Chidinma has reached out to a school in her hometown Ogwashi-Uku Aniocha South LGA of Delta where she distributed education materials including school bags, sandals, exercise books, pens, pencils, erasers and more as she marks her birthday.

The outreach held at Ngwu Primary School, Azunkwu Community in Ogwashi-Uku Aniocha South LGA of Delta state.

Pupils of the school were excited as they received April and her team.

She expressed delight that she was able to touch lives which elicited smiles on the faces of the benefitting kids.

She wrote, "Reaching a goal is awesome, but achieving an impactful one brings greater fulfillment. I've always wanted to give back to society in my own small way, and dedicating my birthday to the first of April Care's Project is the best birthday gift I could've asked for from God.
