Sports / Why Klopp Is Worried About Manchester United Getting Penalties by Dailymemoirs: 7:18pm On Jan 06, 2021
Why Klopp is worried about Manchester United getting Penalties
By sensationalsoibi
Liverpool Manager Jurgen Klopp criticised Manchester United penalty frequency after Liverpool were defeated by Southampton at St Mary's stadium.
The reigning Premier League Champions fell behind two minutes into the game from a Danny Ings lob and had two penalty appeals turned down by the referee. The defeat which means that if arch rivals Manchester United beat Burnley in their next Premier League game they would move three points clear at the top of the table.
Klopp who was unimpressed by the outcome of the game chose to take a dig at his rilvals by pointing out a statistical fact that favoured his point but not one that tells the whole truth about the situation.
"I hear now that Manchester United had more penalties in two years than I had in five-and-a-half-years," Klopp said. "I've no idea if that's my fault, or how that can happen."
While Klopp may be right about the penalty record Manchester United possess in the last two and a bit years. He failed to point out that of Leicester City who have ten as compared to the red devils
six this season. And the German failed to also tell the press that Liverpool have been the greatest beneficiaries of penalties since the new Premier League began in the 1992/1993 season. Liverpool have converted 130 penalties in this time while Manchester who are third in the list behind Chelsea have converted 120.
Why have Manchester United been getting penalties?
It is important to note that during the Mourinho era at the club United did not get many penalties because of the style of play under the Portuguese which was pragmatic. United under Ole Gunnar Solksjaer have played a replica of the Sir Alex Ferguson football characterised by fast, attacking wing play. United also have a very fast front three in Martial, Rashford and Greenwood.
Since Jurgen Klopp took the reins at Anfield in early October 2015, Manchester United have been awarded 41 penalties, 11 more than Liverpool; around an extra two per season on average.
In the early years of the Klopp dynasty, however, when Jose Mourinho was in charge at Old Trafford, the finger was pointed to the spot far more in Liverpool's favour than for their old rivals.
In 2016/17, Liverpool were awarded eight to United's four. Liverpool did score 24 more goals across the course of the season which could go some way to explaining that - but they had only 100 touches more in the opposition penalty area. And this was down to the style Klopp plays as compared to Mourinho.
Solksjaer responded to his opposite number by saying
"That's a fact? Probably. That's probably going to be my answer, that's a fact that we've got more than them. I don't count how many penalties they've had, so if they want to spend time on worrying about when we get fouled in the box… I don't spend time on that.
"I can't talk on behalf of other managers, why they say things like this," he added, before making reference to a penalty shout which was overlooked in their FA Cup semi- final defeat to Chelsea last season.
"I felt it worked last year in the semi in the FA Cup, because Frank [Lampard] spoke about it and we had a nailed-on penalty that we should have had, that we didn't get.
"So maybe it's a way of influencing the referees. I don't know. But I don't worry about that. When they foul our players it's a penalty when it's inside the box."
Is Klopp Worried about his Title his
Defence Chances?
Liverpool won the league last year by a landside. In fact with many games to spare Liverpool were crowned Champions. Having won so overwhelmingly Klopp may have expected a less resistance this year which has not played out to his surprise and with the nature of the league table this year with many teams at the top separated by small margins, Klopp knows he is in for a real challenge.
Also Liverpool are battling with injuries this season with their defense leader Van Dijk who will be out for long after damaging his ligament.
Liverpool's title last season put them one behind Manchester United who have 20 in the all time Premier League trophies and with Manchester United showing signs of victory it will mean Klopp's effort last season with stand for nothing should Manchester United win the league.
There is the growing concern among Liverpool that Manchester United will be their main challengers this season having a better squad depth and lesser injuries than their rivals.
Klopp's statement may hence be a mind game to influence outcome of key matches where United may get a slight advantage from penalties. His concern about Manchester United is born out of fear and not necessarily a quest for justice.
Foreign Affairs / Donald Trump And The Cries Of A Rigged Out Incumbent By Sensational Soibi by Dailymemoirs: 11:55am On Jan 06, 2021
Donald Trump and the Cries of a Rigged out incumbent
By sensationalsoibi
President of United States of America Donald J. Trump would know his fate today as the final attempt to overturn his election defeat would be decided in a voting process in Washington DC. Trump was defeated by Joseph R. Biden in the last year's Presidential election in November. However his defeat has not gone down well with the Republican and the last two months have been filled with cries and screams of voter fraud.
Trump 74, came into power in 2016 after defeating his adversary, former Secretary of State, Hilary Clinton to become the country's 45th President. Donald Trump benefitted from the electoral College system as Hillary Clinton was ousted from her dream of becoming the first ever female President of the United States. Mrs Clinton, wife of former President Bill Clinton won the popular vote by two million but lost out on the Presidential seat due to the outcome of the electoral college.
Trump's Victory was heavily contested after it was confirmed that he will be President and all through his Presidency faced several investigations in connection with his role with the Russians in compromising the US election. Russia was blamed for Trump's Victory as it was claimed Moscow tampered with the voting process to ensure Clinton was defeated because of she was likely to give them a lot of problems if she had won.
The Muller Report became a national news as many of those in President's Trump camp were arrested and some sentenced to prison. Former Lawyer of Donald Trump , Michael Cohen was one of the casualties of the investigation with a 3 year jail sentence.
Trump was acquitted of all the charges as the report claimed there was no collusion.
President Trump also narrowly escaped an impeachment procedure in 2020 after being accused of making a phone call to Ukrainian President, Volodymyr Zelensky to open an investigation into Joe Biden's deals.
The President faced quite some challenges with the corona virus pandemic the biggest of them all. The President's response to the virus was not judged as not good enough, as it led to deaths of many american residents. Trump had claimed the virus was a hoax a statement that stood against him in the long run.
Also the black lives matter did him no good as it raised the odds against him. Many black American voters were against his re-election because he did not do enough to condemn the murder of George Floyd.
How the November 3rd election went
The election was largely dependent on mail voting because of the pandemic. Trump had urged his supporters to avoid voting by mail for fear of it being comprised.
As the election results trooped in the President was leading by about 600,000 votes only to fall way behind by morning, a scenario he attributes to fraud.
Donald Trump won more than 73 million votes, the second highest total in American history. Nationally, he has more than a 47% share of his vote, and looks to have won 24 states, including his beloved Florida and Texas.
He has an extraordinary hold over large swathes of this country, a visceral connection that among thousands of supporters has brought a near cult-like devotion.
After four years in the White House, his supporters studied the fine print of his presidency and clicked enthusiastically on the terms and conditions.
However even with the 73 million votes garnered he still lost to Joe Biden who had about 5 million more votes.
Logic of Trump's defeat
Donald Trump won the presidency in 2016 partly because he was a norm-busting political outsider who was prepared to say what had previously been unsayable.
But Donald Trump also lost the presidency in 2020 partly because he was a norm-busting political outsider who was prepared to say what had previously been unsayable.
Though much of the Trump base might well have voted for him if he had shot someone on Fifth Avenue, his infamous boast from four years ago, others who supported him four years ago were put off by his aggressive behaviour.
His strange boasts about being "a very stable genius" and the like. His promotion of conspiracy theories. His use of a lingua franca that sometimes made him sound more like a crime boss, such as when he described his former lawyer Michael Cohen, who reached a plea deal with federal prosecutors, as "a rat".
A Trump supporter in 2016, said he voted for Joe Biden.
"People are tired, "They want to see normalcy back in this country. They want to see decency. They want to see this hatred stop. They want to see this country united. And that together is going to bring Joe Biden the presidency."
Trump's reaction to the election defeat
The President had claimed widespread electoral fraud in most key states. He claimed to be the real winner of the election as votes belonging to him were switched to Joe Biden. Trump blamed the Dominion Voting Company of being collaborators of this fraud. His frequent tweets of election fraud become too overbearing.
Trump sought to the courts for justice but he failed to present real and substantial evidence of his claims. The courts threw out most of his claims as lacking in merit. Rudy Galliani Trump's new lawyer and former Mayor could not prove it either.
Trump has also sliced anyone who did not agree with his conspiracy theories or claims. Some loosing their jobs or being forced to resign as a consequence of this.
The Attorney General William Barr had to leave because he too stood his ground that the election was not fraudulent.
What I think
After four exhausting years, many voters simply wanted a presidency they could have on in the background - an occupant of the White House who would behave in a more conventional manner. They had tired of the infantile name-calling, the ugly language and the ceaseless confrontation. They wanted a return to some kind of normalcy.
The question of why Trump lost the presidency turns also on a more interesting and arguable question - when did he lose the presidency?
The President did himself no good with his actions. If the democrats actually wanted Trump out he gave them multiple reasons to facilitate his own defeat. His defeat did not begin on election night as much as he thinks. It was a cumulative of his four years in office marred by scandals of his victory, his emotional disposition towards his critics and his mishandling of key issues.
Take no credit from him, he did well in security and economy more than any President but his enemies focused on his weakness to kick him out. The election was filled with irregularities in truth. I mean the whole world can see. But Trump could still have lost even with the irregularities. The irregularities may have given him some hope that he was the real winner. But when you consider the amount of voter fraud compared to the margin of his defeat. The election fraud claims seems like a mirage.
As he seeks to make the last ditch effort to overturn his defeat. He must have at the back is mind that if he lost the election it was partly his own making and that whatever happened in November was merely the final piece of the jigsaw.
A man with his personality would find it hard to accept a defeat that has some stains of fraud attached to it. His disposition to the results is well understood but it doesn't validate anything.

Trump's defeat does not signal failure in his life or his political career but one of those things which one must accept as part of life. And should he loose his final appeal. He should end the cries and screams of a " rigged election"

CORONA VIRUS: THE DISEASE THAT HAS GIVEN THE FOOTBALL WORLD A STAND STILL
By Soibi Ransom
Football as a sport has had its ups and downs since the early 1900’s. Being the most popular sport and having over 8 billion fans. Football has become a major force in society as it is a source of livelihood for millions around the globe through direct and indirect means. Fans get a return for their money through goal euphorias during match days mostly held on weekends and when it comes to national side, the story line is not far away from that of the club sides as the support is overwhelming and patriotic.

Weekends are considered to be wonderful only when there are mouthwatering games to play and season breaks are treated with a bizarre sound of dissatisfaction and pain. While in history till date there have been moments of interruption in football due to extreme circumstances like war, famine and insecurity. Football has managed to remain in the limelight without losing its flavor and savor as the greatest game on the planet.
Footballing bodies like CAF and FIFA have been rocked with scandals yet football did not go still in any way.
Epidemics like Ebola, SARS have broken out yet the fans were able to gather and chant victory songs and dance to samba beats in stadiums packed with 80,000 fans,

When News broke weeks back of the Corona virus many never imagined that it will have such a big hit on the world such that flights will be called off and business meetings rearranged. The growing fears have worsened as the virus has rampaged big name countries like China, UK, USA and Italy. For Sports it has been a largish hinderance to its enjoyment as games are being called off and matches played behind closed doors.

What is Corona Virus?

What’s the risk of coronavirus in the UK?

What’s the risk of coronavirus for travellers?
There are some countries and areas where there’s a higher chance of coming into contact with someone with coronavirus.
Symptoms of coronavirus
The symptoms of coronavirus are:
• a cough
• a high temperature
• shortness of breath
But these symptoms do not necessarily mean you have the illness.
Just Yesterday Bianconeri (Juventus ) defender Daniel Rugani tested positive to the virus while his teammate Cristiano Ronaldo had smartly jetted off to Portugal for fear of being a victim too.

The Bayelsa state elections has left many wondering if the current Chairman of the PDP is the right man to lead them back as the fore political force they once were.

People's Democratic Party PDP must make changes to its leadership or risk remaining the opposition party for many many years. The 16 years rule of PDP at the top of Nigerian politics came to a sudden halt after President Buhari defeated Good luck Jonathan in March 2015 Presidential elections. However in 2018 there was a national convention that produced s new leadership who seem to be unfit to wrestle power from the ruling party APC. Despite a glaring bad governance from the APC the PDP have still yet not shown they are ready to be number one Again. The Chairman of the party secondus seems to have lost ideas on how to move them forward with Bayelsa state defeat a major loss and the first of it's kind in the Niger Delta region. To preserve the remaining states it is urgent PDP shakes some of its leadership to avoid a total meltdown of the party.

Manchester United have signed England centre-back Harry Maguire from Premier League rivals Leicester City for £80m – a world record fee for a defender.

The 26-year-old has agreed a six-year contract at Old Trafford, with the option of a further year.
The fee for Maguire eclipses the £75m Liverpool paid Southampton for Virgil van Dijk in January 2018.

“When Manchester United come knocking on your door, it is an incredible opportunity,” said Maguire.

MANCHESTER CITY

PREDICTION – 1ST

Sticking my neck out for Man City to retain the league and thereby winning it three times on the bounce – a feat that has not been achieved since Alex Ferguson’s Ronaldo inspired Manchester United of 2006-2009. Pep Guardiola has created a well-greased machine that takes no prisoners. Every player knows exactly what is expected of him at every given time, be it for set plays, defensive positions or tactical fouls.

The departure of Vincent Kompany leaves a gaping hole in terms of leadership but the most glaring weakness in this team which was finding a backup cum replacement for the evergreen Fernandhino has been sorted out with the capture of 23 years old Rodri from Athletico Madrid for $79m. The left back position is still shaky with the eccentric yet supremely injury prone Benjamin

Rivaldo is more excited than most about Neymar’s possible return to Barcelona .

The Blaugrana have just signed Antoine Griezmann for €120 million (£107m/$134m) to play up front alongside Luis Suarez and Lionel Messi, but the former Brazil international is adamant that there is room for one more superstar forward at Camp Nou.

“An attack with these four players would be spectacular and I think it’s possible to accommodate them all,” Barca legend Rivaldo told Betfair

“It would be just a question of preparing a good system in training to make it possible. I don’t see a problem in playing with this ‘Fantastic Four’ at the same time.”

Celebrities / What May Have Happened Between Pastor Biodun And Mrs Dakolo by Dailymemoirs: 11:47am On Jul 02, 2019
There is a a side to this rape saga that I have had to come to terms with given the loopholes in the story . Busola may likely have had some form of attraction for Pastor Biodun which allowed him to gain access to her. At 17 she may be young but being a gifted child she was definitely not naive about such an issue when you also consider that she came from a family where she had an elder sister. I think being raped more than once without a spark of controversy and tolerance all these years even to the point of remaining in the same church with your victim. Do you know what it means psychologically for a lady to remain around her opressor for so long and not speak out ? I mean if for any reason Busola may have come out now it may be because her first sex experience led to many others with other men which may have defamed her. Even in her marriage she has also been accused of cheating on her husband. What if Timi Dakolo's stake in this is that he found out about a scandal about his wife and she opens up on how she became loose sexually referring to her encounter with Pastor Biodun who she feels took advantage of her naivety and did the same to other women. Dakolo may be angry these same Pastor punished him for premarital sex and did thesame to others including his wife. I think her story has details deliberately left out because it will poison her claim of rape. I think there was penetration which caused a looseness in her life and she feels it has caused her so much with her catalogue of infedility which hurts her husband Timi Dakolo.

blackgold90:
Saying that a pastor rape you is OK,then get a lawyer and evidence and sue the pastor.

Arranging a protest today in the church shows that they were asking for Ransome or will blackmail the pastor if he failed to pay and all these are in line to hoodwink the pastor.
This is a even a very bad case except there is video or there is a WhatsApp chat like that of Neymar of Psg

Celebrities / The target is the church not just Pastor Biodun by Dailymemoirs: 1:17pm On Jun 29, 2019
Ever since the news of COZA pastor raping Mrs Dakolu Nigerians have already taking sides with many standing with the alleged raped victim but while it is most likely that many will say she is right we must not let female sentiment to cloud our judgements. Mrs Dakolu is not a holy woman either as her history tells alot of her allegations. If a woman is raped and allows her victim to do it again without a struggle. We must ask if Mrs Dakolu is in her normal senses. Alot of women get involved in sex with guys who are charming only to regret it later because they realised he had other lovers and not just them rather than admit they were outsmarted they turn to rape accusation as a way to protect their sanctity. If the CoZa pastor has many victims they should all United and launch a joint effort to Sue him not use it as an opportunity for defamation. I think more or less this issue is a well planned script to discredit Christianity in Nigeria. We have had several cases against pastors in recent times with private jest to other issues used as a tool to make a bad image of the church. I advise those who think Mrs Dakolu to be raped to tell her to go to court with her evidence not partake in media trial. Sambo Dasuki was accused of diverting funds. Till today Dasuki has not been found guilty. We know how Nigeria works. We should be careful how we approach sensitive issues relating to religion. The accusation against apostle Suleiman has still not gone anywhere. Christians must be wise not to join sides in tearing down the church without proof. Whover thinks he has been hurt must go to court to seek redress and not cause a chaotic noise in the press. Pastor Biodun may be guilty but he deserves a fair hearing. For those of you who said he should be given a death penalty. I will remind you of what Jesus said to the accusers of the adulterous woman. " If you have no sin pick the Stone first " God bless you
