Born in 1987, Bayo studied pure and applied chemistry in the University of Lagos. Upon completion of his studies, he found himself in the photography industry which he had passion for.

Like quite a good number out there, the photographer didn’t really have it easy while growing up as he once confessed in an interview section that he once sold sachet water on the streets.

He fully went into professional photojournalism and acquired unique skills and abilities. The 32 year old has had experiences in handling high standard and quality creative work. In addition, he has handled media projects with organisations such as Oby Ezekwesili foundation, Sahara energy, USAID and others.

With excellence and dogged determination, Omoboriowo saw himself rise to the highly exalted position of being the personal man to the occupant of the highest elected political office in the land. His works indeed are masterpiece. When on duty in particular, camera gadgets are part of wears. Sometimes, he even assumes funny postures just to make sure his job is well done.

A German nudist was sunbathing naked at the Teufelssee in west Berlin when a wild boar picked up the yellow bag containing his laptop and the man gave chase.

The photographer who captured the drama, Adele Landauer, shared it on Facebook with the permission of the naked man.

In the photos, the naked man is seen chasing the boar and her two piglets while fellow sunbathers looked on in amusement.

“Nature strikes back,” wrote Adele Landauer, a personal coach, on Facebook. “I showed the man the photos, he laughed heartily and gave me permission to make them public.”

The man was sunbathing naked at the Teufelssee in west Berlin, a popular and perfectly legal practice in the German capital as part of what is known as FKK, or Freikörperkultur (free body culture).

The wild boar had apparently spotted a pizza being eaten by other bathers so it seized a yellow bag containing the man’s laptop, probably believing it to contain food.

When the man noticed what was going on, he chased the animal into the undergrowth.

“Because the bag contained his laptop, he gave it his all, even though he was in his birthday suit,” explained Landauer.

The boar’s flight was slowed by a cardboard box in its path. The man clapped his hands and hit the ground with the stick, prompting the boar to drop the laptop and the man took his bag back.

Another witness said: “When he returned from the forest, everyone applauded him.”

Derek Ehlert, Berlin’s ombudsman for wild animals, told local media that such incidents had become increasingly common, and that foxes had also become regular visitors to Berlin’s lakeside resorts.

“We urge people not to panic in such a case,” he said. “We have so far had no injuries – the animals are quite used to humans.”

The man was completely naked and stood with his arms crossed across his chest. Cars waited in front of him, unable to move past him.

When he wouldn't move away, the driver directly in front of him got out and approached him. The driver spoke to the naked man for a bit but when he didn't move, he made a fist and punched him in the face and the naked man collapsed.

The national leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Bola Tinubu, is of the opinion that if the COVID-19 crisis is to have any positive economic aspect, then it should be that Nigeria used this moment to drive down interest rates.

Chief Tinubu in a lengthy communique on Sunday, advised the Federal Government avail tax reliefs that would aid financial institutions in the country to reduce their interest rates.

In his statement, the elder statesman noted that by doing this, the government will saving the nation from a monumental drag on national economic growth.

According to him, lower rates will increase domestic investment and production, as well as create jobs.

While noting that lower rates may have some negative short-term impact on inflation and the exchange rate, the former governor of Lagos argued that the economic dislocations caused by the coronavirus will serve to mitigate those temporary negative consequences.

THE CASE AGAINST HIGH INTEREST RATES IN TIME OF CONTAGION

THE TIME IS NOW – CORRECT THE INTEREST RATE

The economic fallout from the coronavirus may present the best, most pressing case for revising the CBN’s high interest rate policy. The undue rates penalise domestic investment and consumer borrowing. This reduces both aggregate domestic supply and, to a lesser degree, aggregate domestic demand. The chronic gap between domestic supply and demand has been filled by bloated levels of imports and encouraged an overvalued exchange rate that the high interests have helped produce. In normal times, the high interest rates also attract significant foreign financial speculation, the ever-ominous hot money. While in the short-term, the foreign speculation boosts financial inflows. Over time, as compound interest payments become due on these foreign investments, the nation will lose an ever-increasing amount of money to satisfy foreign debt obligations. In the short run, high rates seem to attract foreign capital and spur the economy while giving it discipline against inflation. In the longer-term, all of this is untrue. High rates give us the worst of both worlds. They stifle domestic investment and incomes while pushing up inflation and exposing an ever-increasing share of our financial system to foreign manipulation and dependence. Put another way, if you take a single picture early in the process, the high interest rate policy looks good at that moment in time. However, if you view the entire movie, you will see an ending that is both painful and unnecessary.

The Central Bank of Nigeria has demonstrated its financial agility by establishing a growing number of special financing programs for various industries and sectors of the economy. While these programs look good at first glance, they also expose important contradictions in the CBN’s position. The special schemes are an implicit admission that normal rates stifle investment borrowing and thus suppress the economy. The extraordinary schemes would not be required if the general interest rate was at a proper level. By establishing the special programs, the CBN attempts the impossible. On one hand it defends the general rate as prudent. On the other, it proliferates special exceptions in order to spur investment borrowing that the general rate has heretofore stifled.

This complex CBN rear-guard action does not serve the greater purpose. It merely prolongs the inevitable: We must retreat from high interest rates if we want investment borrowing to attain levels that actually increase private-sector growth and job creation.

This point bears repetition. If the financial sector functioned properly, servicing the needs of the economy in general, there would be no need to constantly resort to specialised sectoral plans (one for this industry, another for that industry and so on) for concessionary lending below regularly available rates of interest. Each such scheme is evidence that the overall financial system is fragmented in a manner that artificially reduces investment and the positive consequences increased investment has on growth, production and employment. The schemes are akin to a homeowner who, confronted with severe structural damage, commissions a fresh coat of paint to obscure the obvious structural flaws. Just as the homeowner should focus on fixing the core problem to prevent the house from crumbling, the Bank should do the one great thing it can do to free the economy from an unpayable burden. It should reduce interest rates.

The modern global economy is built on credit. Prosperous nations have built success based on the sustained ability to use credit to generate high levels of domestic investment as well as allow for significant consumer financing. Unlike two centuries ago, most business investment is not derived from the self-generated funds of the businessman or investor. Investment comes mainly from bank loans. However, the current rate of interest in Nigeria prohibits most normal business investment. Thus, the productive sector stagnates as innovation and creative endeavour are discouraged. Employment and aggregate demand are dragged down. The economy becomes a slave to a negative, impoverishing dynamic.

Founder of MFM Pastor Kayode Olukoya said the birth of Christ could be May or April according to biblical history.
He said there was nowhere in the bible where Christmas was mentioned or that says Jesus was born on December 25.

He said, “If you really study the Bible from Genesis to Revelation, there is no word like Christmas. The bible only recorded that the Shepherds were taking care of their flocks during a very cold season when they sighted the star that announced the birth of Jesus Christ.

President Muhammadu Buhari on Tuesday reassured Nigerians of their safety under his administration, promising that he remained committed to fighting insecurity, especially insurgency.

He spoke in Kaduna where he unveiled additional Made-in-Nigeria Mine Resistant Ambush Protected vehicles for the Nigerian Army.

The vehicles, code-named Ezugwu MRAP, will be used for counter-insurgency operations by the army.

They were produced by the Defence Industries Corporation of Nigeria, an indigenous company.

The President launched the vehicles at the opening ceremony of the 2019 Chief of Army Staff Annual Conference.

Reassuring Nigerians of their safety, Buhari said, ‘‘This is a commitment we have made and will continue to keep.”

On Ezugwu MRAP, the President commended DICON and the several bodies that collaborated to produce them.

A statement by his Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, Mr Garba Shehu, quoted him further, ‘‘I note the collaborative efforts of the Command Engineering Depot with relevant indigenous organisations to promote local content towards developing our military-industrial complex.

“I am glad that the production of Ezugwu MRAP vehicles, which I will be unveiling today (Tuesday), will join the infantry patrol vehicles that were earlier produced as a testimony that our efforts are yielding positive results.

“Additionally, your efforts in terms of capacity building, training and conduct of exercises are quite commendable.

‘‘I am aware that there are ongoing field exercises such as Atilogwu, UDO 1, Exercise Akpatuma 2 and Exercise Crocodile Smile 4, among other civil-military cooperation activities.

“These are impressive efforts geared at enhancing the operational efficiency of the army as well as facilitating a conducive security environment for social and economic activities to thrive.’’

Buhari also praised the Chief of Army Staff, Lt. Gen. Tukur Buratai, saying that he liked the way he transformed the army.

Babcock University graduate, Mayowa Abiru, has emerged the overall best student at the 2019 Bar Examination of the Nigeria Law School.

One would have presumed that comedienne and actress Lizzy Jay, better known as Omo Ibadan had a smooth academic journey, however, the petite actress who became famous through her comedy skits on Instagram said earning a degree was a tough one for her.

The actress said she wanted to be a medical doctor but ended up with a degree in Microbiology.



In an interview with Sunday Scoop, Omo Ibadan said being a popular student came at a high price for her because lecturers would not give her preferential treatment.

The actress also said though she was not sure of a first-class grade, an upper credit was feasible.

She sad “Well, may be an upper credit. I don’t calculate my CGPA? Being a celebrity didn’t influence my grades at all. As a matter of fact, I had more problems in school because I am a celebrity. For any reason I had to miss a test, I couldn’t go to the lecturer to help out because they might say I’m taking advantage of my status.

“I had more problems because I’m a known face. If I’m absent they always know. I wasn’t even close to my lecturers. Of course there were some sacrifices I had to make but I had to do my best to graduate. I just knew I can’t fail. I knew that failure was not an option for me. Though it was not easy to combine entertainment and schooling, at this level I couldn’t record another failure.’’

She added, “If I have the opportunity to study medicine, I’ll still do it but not in Nigeria. I’m also planning to go for master’s.”

Omo Ibadan who has impressive followership on her social media handles stated that the ideas for her skits usually come at night.

“Sometimes ideas come when I’m with my friends or younger brothers. Most times when we talk, I pick little things from them that I can use freely. But I get ideas and develop my skits in the middle of the night. Because I sleep late, the ideas come when I’m relaxed,’’ she said.

On why she doesn’t flaunt her relationship on the Internet, the comedienne said her last relationship was three years ago.



“I’m not in a relationship for now but even if I have, I can’t say that I will flaunt it on the Internet’’, Omo Ibadan said.

The actress also said she wasn’t bothered about not being voluptuous and would not consider cosmetics surgery nor fault ladies doing it to enhance their body.

Omo Ibadan said, “I love my small stature and looks although cosmetics surgery hasn’t crossed my mind. But I don’t have problems with people that do it. If you think something is wrong with your body and there is a way to make it perfect, please do it. Maybe if I eat more, rest and don’t stress myself I can grow bigger.’’
