Congratulations are in order for the latest couple in town after their recent wedding union. The young Muslim Nigerian lady got married to her sweetheart in Plateau state, according to Islamic rites. According to reports, the Chinese man who came to Nigeria with a close family member for the wedding, accepted Islam before getting married to his partner.

Congratulations to them once more.

Senator representing Akwa Ibom North West Senatorial District, Senator Godswill Akpabio was welcomed warmly as he arrived Ibom International Airport, after resigning as Senate Minority Leader.

In a resignation letter addressed to the Deputy Minority Leader, Senator Emmanuel Bwacha, Senator Akpabio said his resignation was with effect from August 4, 2018.

Senator Akpabio is expected to be received into the All Progressives Congress (APC) at a rally in Ikot Ekpene, Akwa Ibom State on Wednesday, August 8, 2018.

Wife of the National Leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and serving senator, Oluremi Tinubu, was ordained a Pastor of the  Redeemed Christian Church of God RCCG. The ordination happened earlier today at the 66th Annual Convention of the Redeemed Christian Church of God.

Mrs. Tinubu who wore no makeup for the event - was supported by her husband, the national leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

It was earlier reported how a young man disguised as a Catholic Seminarian, in order to steal a car during a Priestly Ordination on Saturday at Maria Assumpta Catholic Cathedral in Owerri, Imo State.

He was apprehended while trying to steal a car during the event before he was handed over to some soldiers, and Man O' War operatives in the church who punished him before transferring him to the policemen on ground.

New pictures have emerged showing the moment Man O' War personnel slapped out blood from the suspect during "interrogation".

A serious fight erupted after nail salon workers attacked customers after one of them refused to pay for an eyebrow job which was said to be messed up.

A trending video footage which was posted online by Mercy Maduka, a Nigerian lady who lives in the US, shows how the workers surrounded a customer and beat her with broom stick at New Red Apple Nails on Norstrand Avenue in East Flatbush, Brooklyn.

The workers then turned to another shopper who was helping her granddaughter escape the clutches of the staff members and started beating her in the back.

 Police arrived the scene and arrested a salon worker along with one of the customers on Friday night - however it remains unclear as to which one.

This is highly uncommon. According to multiple online reports, a 60-year-old woman identified as Mrs. Grace Arowojolu, gave birth to a bouncing baby girl after 30 years of marriage. The woman was pictured carry the new baby after the 'miraculous' delivery. Congratulations to her.

This is happening months after a 67-year-old Francis D and his 63-year-old wife, Margaret, 63, a native of Zawan in Jos South Local Government Area of Plateau State, welcomed their first child in February..

The baby girl came through Caesarean Section at the Gynaeville Specialist Hospital, now ALPS Hospital, 38 years after they had been married.

“This is not my first attempt to have a child. I have undergone many surgeries and have done the treatment in different hospitals outside Plateau State. This is the fourth time; three times in other hospitals”, the 63-year-old mother said.

A staunch member of the All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA), has been killed by unknown attackers in Abia state. According to reports, the man was gruesomely murdered and his corpse dumped by the roadside in Ntigha, Isialangwa North local government area of Abia State.

A heartbroken Facebook user Ihuoma Nzechi who shared the sad news, wrote; 

“My heart bleeds as Bisha B my boy, was murdered in cold blood and dropped on the road in Ntigha today by unknown enemies…You were a very very nice and peaceful boy..They have killed and dumped you in the dark, but the All Knowing and All Seeing God saw everything and MUST expose them in due course….

“Fare thee well my “OKu-Uguru boy,My Abia First Ward 7 Cordinator, my most loyal,humble and committed boy.. It’s a pity you did’nt live to see our dream of APGA taking over ABIA state and my Declaration as the Member representing Isiala Ngwa North in the state house of Assembly come true, I promise to remember and mourn you forever,as long as I live…Sleep well my boy”.

Few days after President Muhammadu Buhari proceeded for a 10-working day vacation in London, protest has already begun against him by pro-Biafra agitators again. Some members of the Indigenous People of Biafra, (IPOB), stormed the Abuja House in London on Sunday (yesterday) to protest against him as the president was about to receive some visitors.

In a video footage posted online, the pro-Biafra protesters were heard shouting 'Shame' and calling the president a terrorist and also Boko Haram sponsor.

The protesters said that the president should go back to his country and should be ashamed of himself.

This was happening while some visitors were entering the Abuja House to visit the president.

A white security personnel was also seen standing at the gate as he watched the few IPOB members protest.

Another life has been claimed in Yenagoa, Bayelsa State capital, following a renewed clash between two rival cult groups. According to reports, a young man identified as Ebiteinye Sele, from Brass region in the state - was shot dead by suspected cult members in Yenagoa yesterday.

The deceased was said to have been attacked by the cult group and shot at close range. He immediately died on the spot.

His corpse was later removed by security agents and deposited at the mortuary.

It was gathered, that the casualties may increase in the next few days as the killing spree continues.

A mild drama occurred yesterday in the quiet community of Abatete in Anambra state between Fulani herdsmen and vigilante members. According to a video footage posted online, the Fulani herdsmen abandoned their cows and properties after sighting members of the vigilante group who arrived their camp in a bush.

It was reported that the Vigilante members called them back for a 'friendly talk' but they refused.

The took to their heels over fear of risking their lives.

The vigilantes removed their camp as they said they don't want the herdsmen in their land to avoid trouble.

A man who claimed to be a pastor - got more than he bargained for after he was caught stealing a goat at Akukwa village in Igboukwu Town, Anambra state. The man who was seriously beaten and tied up along with the stolen animal identified himself as pastor Chinedu from Orifite area of the state.

While being interrogated by the village vigilante members, the man revealed that he owns a church known as Key of Life Ministries in Ozubulu town but came to Igboukwu for an engagement. 

He confessed that he saw the stray goat and decided to steal it.

When asked what he wanted to do with the goat, he said he wanted to kill it for sacrifice.  

He was later handed over to the security for further interrogations.

More Cultists today at Omuku area of Port Harcourt, Rivers State have decided to call it quits and change their bad ways.

Following the recent news that over 300 ex-cultists and ex-militants denounced cultism over a fortnight ago in Salvation Ministries, the area Commander, S. A. Sani of Omoku Police Divisional Headquarters in the early hours of Thursday, 2nd August, 2018, was alerted that a number of youths totalling 103 followed suit by not only surrendering their weapons to the Nigerian police Divisional Headquarters Omoku but also repented.

The presiding Pastor of Salvation Ministries Pastor David Ibiyeomie, was represented by Pastor Charles Alikor and Pastor Oye Allen who led these youths to Christ.

Some of the arms and ammunition surrendered includes; One pump action, one police uniform ,two army camouflage , two locally made guns ,one locally made pistol and a bag of charms.

A shrine was also destroyed at Mgbede community of Omoku community.

There was pandemonium today after operatives of the Special Anti- Robbery Squad (SARS) allegedly killed a young tanker conductor while reportedly chasing hoodlums at Ilepo, near Abule Ado, Satellite Town, Lagos.

It was gathered that the officers were chasing a criminal at Ilepo, Satellite town, when they opened fire which led to the death of the boy.

The victim died on the spot.

The young man's death was said to have led to a protest in the area before personnel from Navy town arrived the control the situation.
