Tony Rapu, medical practitioner and a Pastor of This Present House, a popular church in Lekki, Lagos - has shared a video footage of a young Nigerian boy identified as Shanawole, who was rescued from the streets during a recent God Bless Nigeria/Freedom Foundation rehabilitation mission.

The 11-year-old boy who says he belongs to Eiye confraternity and smokes marijuana well - revealed that if anyone messes with him or his group, it's his job to kill the person/hack the person down. He also said that if anyone tries to fight them, he and his boys will hit the person very hard.

The young boy who also claimed to be robber - has been taken off the streets and is undergoing rehabilitation.

This is the latest fitness craze sweeping the United States, “Goat Yoga,” where young and old are lining up for the popular classes that leave participants in stitches. The new workouts taking place on farms across the country involve Nigerian Dwarf goats — miniature goats of West African origin — roaming about as the Yoga participants practice their exercise routines.

Several of the people who tied the fitness routine said while the goats did admittedly get in the way of the yoga stretches and poses, they were a welcome distraction that had everyone giggling and vowing to come back for more due to the warmth of the goats.

Some also said that the routine was a pure release of tension, a pure release of frustration..

Benue State Police Command has busted two kidnap syndicate of eight in Makurdi and Katsina-Ala including a gang of four allegedly led by a woman believed to be an associate of the wanted militant leader, Terwase Agwaza, also known as Gana , who a week ago abducted a Katsina/Ala-based businessman.

The police operation also led to the arrest of three women whose responsibilities were to provide food for the victims, who was rescued alive.

The arrest is coming few days after Governor Samuel Ortom assented to the anti-kidnapping bill, which prescribed death penalty for offenders.

Parading the suspects yesterday at the Command Headquarters in Makurdi, the state’s Police Commissioner, Mr. Bashir Makama, said the businessman was kidnapped alongside his son, who was later released to source N20 million as ransom for his father.

Makama said: “We tracked them from intercepts; that case gave us sleepless nights, but we got them in their hideout after a gun battle at Abaji in Katsina/Ala and the notorious criminal, Bem Uga, alias Jugas Jnr , and one Oraondo, alias Bishop , were also nabbed without any ransom paid for the releases of the victim, who was rescued alive.

“During investigations, we discovered that the lady, who was arrested had the responsibility of pencilling down those to be kidnapped and those to be killed by the gang.

“They are all associates of Gana, the wanted militant leader. Among them is the driver of Gana’s wife, Queen. They are all giving us useful information.

“Also arrested, after reliable information, is one Victor Ayanngor, who conspired with Ordue Abraham, Kelvin Dankor and Emmanuel Terver to kidnap his girlfriend and collect N200,000 ransom.”

Minister of Information and culture, Lai Mohammed was a guest on Channels TV where he spoke some national issues including the continuous detention of former National Security Adviser, Sambo Dasuki. Below are some of the things he said in the interview.

“I think there is a lot of deliberate misunderstanding on these issues. Number one, if a judgment is given and that judgment is appealed, you cannot accuse the government of violating that order if the appeal has not been decided.

“Two, in the case of El-Zakzaky, how many Nigerians know that El-Zakzaky is not in prison custody, police custody nor DSS custody? El-Zakzaky is in a house with his family. This is the honest truth.

“He is in what is called protective custody. The court ruled that he be released after his house has been rebuilt but nobody wants to accept El-Zakzaky as a neighbour. So, we have been unable to build the house. So, where do we release him to?

“In the case of Dasuki, every government will always thread this very thin line between personal liberty and national security. And I think you must give the government the credit to determine what is national security. In the case of Sambo Dasuki, the issue is a grave one.

“If the person is in possession of $1.2 billion; there are records that he moved in one day $1.2 billion in two transactions – we know the banks he moved them to. And you refused to tell us what you have done with that money, I don’t think it would be prudent to jeopardise the national security of a whole nation because of the individual freedom of one person. Because with $1.2 billion, you can destabilise a whole country.

“You see, all those who have been disturbing us about rule of law or the other, I just wish they would have the opportunity to be in government for a short time and they will see how difficult it is to balance personal freedom with national security.”

Reports have it that about 200 tonnes of FREE date fruits donated by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to Nigerian refugees are now being sold in Nigerian markets as seen in the picture below. The fruit, given to Nigerians who were on pilgrimage to Saudi Arabia and also obtained from the Saudi Arabia Embassy in Nigeria, has been marked either “Free” or “Not for sale”.

The fruits were given for free based on the agreement that those taking it are going to give it to the poor, especially those in the Internally Displaced Persons camp.

However, the authorities of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in Nigeria have found the fruit on sale in Nigeria to their amazement.

The dates were distributed from a warehouse belonging to Royal Embassy of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in the presence of the Charge d’Affairs, Dr Yahya Mughram.

The commission for refugees, migrants and Internally Displaced Person drew up the list of recipients which included IDPs camps as well as prominent Mosques.

Meanwhile the Federal government is set to commence investigation into the matter.

An official of the Anambra State Traffic Management Agency, ASTMA was almost beaten in public after quarrelling with a female police officer for allegedly collecting bribe from motorists and allowing them to pass in a disorderly manner in Awka, Anambra state. According to an online user who shared this, a man who claimed to be a sergeant threatened to beat up the ASTMA official after trying to settle the rift between the road official and the policewoman .

You could be wondering what's the drama all about. Yeah. Happened in Awka, Anambra state (Eke Awka round about) ..

The male ASTMA official (On Yellow uniform) happened to be controlling the traffic with the female police officer. The ASTMA official now accused the female police officer of disrupting the traffic flow by collecting some tips from some motorists there by passing them at random which lack some orderliness. He threatened to report the female officer to her office.

And this caused a rift and argument between the two parties until one man appeared in a track suit who claimed to be a sergeant and then Approached the female police officer and talked with her after which he now called the ASTMA official who now refused to come insisting that he (The sergeant) was supporting evil which is the female police officer.

The sergeant now threatened to beat up the ASTMA official and started pushing the official around but thank God the situation was contained by some other officers and civilians.

Let peace reign in this peaceful state Anambra state

Boki oil palm estate in Cross River state, with over 400 plots, has turned into a war zone over what can be best described as `political influence of the god fathers’. Here are photos of some of the pellets that were littered after some youths engaged themselves in a gun duel over the ongoing crisis in the Boki oil palm estate.

According to report by George Odok, the youths are now operating from two rival groups, under the influence of some politicians, alleged to have gotten the governors nod to control the estate.

Crisis renewed again in the area when some youths loyal to Ayade’s appointee manned a road block at Bafin village to prevent youths from Oku village in accessing the popular `Okundi Market’ to sell their farm produce.

As a result of the clash, the youths, who have been turned against each other by political actors opened fire against themselves, but eye-witness reported that none of the youths was hurt because they have all fortified themselves diabolically with charms.

It would be recalled that one Bukie Etta was shot dead two months ago by some un-identified gunmen during the clash that led to the destruction of houses and other valuables in Oku-Bushuyu.

A majority of workers in the state, mostly from other LGA’s have since fled the area over consistent gun shots and extortion of monies from them.

Members of Agbor Gha Ihun security outfit, yesterday apprehended a 70-year-old man who identified himself as Mr Sunday Nwokoro, for allegedly raping a 12-year-old primary four pupil of Agbor Model Primary School,Agbor.The evil deeds of Mr Nwokoro, a former bus driver was revealed during his visit to his rape victim house.

According to the father of the victim, Mr Friday Egbineka,"Mr Sunday Nwokoro lives near my house at Umudein Street, Agbor.My children usually visit his house to watch film,unfortunately, i did not know he was sleeping with my third child,a primary four pupil at Agbor Model Primary School, Agbor.Before now my other children reported to me that their sister,keeps late nights.I did not know about this on time because i am a security man in one of the private secondary schools in Agbor.

My job keeps me outside all the time,hence, i was not able to monitor my children activities effectively.I lost their mother late last year and my own mother recently.Mr Nwokoro came to sympathize with me over my loss when my daughter told me that he was the man sleeping with her.Prior to this time, my daughter was having symptoms of sickness and we had earlier treated her medically.Immediately, she told us how Mr Nwokoro forced her to be sleeping with him,we approached him but he denied the allegation.He later admitted after members of Agbor Gha Ihun were invited.I want justice to prevail."

In an interview, the rape victim, told newsmen that Mr Nwokoro had inter course with her,saying, "i went with my friends to watch film in his house (Mr Nwokoro)house where he dragged me into his room and promised to give me #100,anytime i sleep with him.While in his room he overpowered me and fingered me severally.He disvirgin me.I reported him to my father when he visited our house yesterday."

Mr Nwokoro, a native of Agbor, said the devil pushed him into it and begged that justice be tempered with mercy.

Abdulmumuni Hassan Shira and his son Jabir Y. Shira were arrested for poaching around Shaman area last month. In the process of the arrest, one other poacher hunting for animals escaped. Abdulmumuni is the "Sarkin Baka" of Duguri in Bauchi state.

Although he claims to have charms that render him invisible to rangers and security operatives, he was arrested again after being nabbed in July 2016, and was sentenced to 6 months in prison. Not learning from his previous offence, the notorious poacher was arrested again - this time with his son by his side.

A policeman was almost mobbed in Enugu state after being involved in a brawl with a bus conductor and the driver. The incident happened few days ago at Independence Layout between after the policeman boarded a bus and refused to pay threatening to arrest the conductor.

According to reports, the conductor who was said to have been hungry, pounced on the Policeman, followed up by the driver. Within moments, more buses packed with the conductors and drivers coming for solidarity fight. It took the intervention of passers by that came to calm the situation.

The young man who reportedly belonged to Eiye confraternity was stabbed to death by members of the Vikings confraternity in Accra, Ghana capital last month…He was buried few days ago in Sapele area of Delta state with his friends and family present.
