A Nigerian doctor identified as Dr Ejike Arum has been accused of turning a 16-year-old girl into his sex slave - allegedly sleeping with her in his place of work at Enugu state Teaching Hospital. According to the reporter, the doctor who is married allegedly dis-virgined the girl after brainwashing her and also locked up the girl's sibling when he was confronted

The newly appointed Speaker, Delta State House of Assembly, Hon. Sheriff Oborevowre has been accused of using monies meant for the payment of Local govt workers to "bribe" Urhobo traditional rulers in a bid to secure his Delta Central Senatorial ambition.

It was gathered that Oborevwere who had a closed door meeting with the traditional rulers on Saturday (24 June 2017) used N10 Million to wedge Kola nut. Part of the N10m is seen in the picture.

According to Elsie Halima Ijorogu-Reed, the meeting with the Monarchs was part of his bid to secure their support for his Senatorial ambition.

A Nigerian Christian lady has got herself trending online after claiming she fasted for 29 days just to prove that Christians and Muslims are the same. The lady who was filmed holding a bible and a Muslim prayer beads shared the trending footage yesterday to mark the the Eid al-fitr celebration and the end of the Ramadan fast.

In the video, she revealed that she joined the Muslims in fasting because both the Christians and Muslims all serve the same God as she urged other Nigerians to leave in peace with one another irrespective of their religion..

Taraba state citizens mourn Broadcast Journalist and Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Media and Publicity, Sylvanus Giwa who died on Friday. Governor Darius Dickson Ishaku later went on a condolence visit to the family of the late Giwa where he consoled them on the loss of his aide.

Until his death, Sylvanus Giwa was the Spokesman of Governor Ishaku.

It can be recalled that Mr Sylvanus Giwa, slumped inside his office in Jalingo, the state capital.

An armed robbery suspect almost met his end after he was caught during an operation in Calabar, Cross River state. The alleged robber who was stripped unclad - had his legs and hands tied with robes, before he was beaten to pulp by angry residents.

According to reports, his body was slashed with machetes and was about to lynched before police team rescued him and took him to the General Hospital Calabar for treatment.

Congratulations are in order for a Nigerian man, Elvis Iwuji who surprised his girlfriend by proposing to her inside an airplane while travelling . He decided to pull the 'most romantic' gesture he could come up with as he asked his girlfriend to marry him aboard a flight on Airpeace from Owerri, Imo state to Lagos.

His girlfriend said YES to his proposal as other passengers congratulated the couple for their big moment. Congrats to the soon-to-be couple.

The Department of State Services, DSS, has said that it has arrested some terrorist planning to attack Nigerians during the Sallah festive season.The DSS in a statement signed by Tony Opuiyo on Friday said in the past few weeks, this Service has uncovered a plot by terrorist elements to stage series of coordinated attacks using explosives on different cities across the country.

Their aim was to hit on soft targets such as markets, public parks, public processions, recreation centres, as well as worship centres especially the Eid Praying Grounds and other densely populated areas during the forthcoming Eid-el-Fitr Sallah celebration.

The latest plan by the terrorists was to unleash mayhem on Kano, Sokoto, Kaduna and Maiduguri. Consequently, the Service wishes to announce that the planned terrorist attacks in Kano and aforementioned States have been nipped in the bud. This followed the arrest of Yusuf ADAMU and Abdumuminu HALADU in the early hours of today, 23/06/2017, in Sokoto. ADAMU and his accomplice were to command the operation in Kano.

However, the Service had earlier arrested the facilitator of the Kano attack, an explosive expert by name Bashir MOHAMMED at Unguwar Barnawa, Shekar Madaki, Kumbatso LGA, Kano State on 20th June, 2017. Their plan, together with others now at large, was to assemble the explosives and use them on select targets during the Eid-el-Fitr Celebrations.

On the arrest of MOHAMMED in Kumbatso, Kano, a search was conducted at his residence wherein the following dangerous weapons were recovered: i.Eight ( AK-47 rifles; ii.Twenty (20) fully loaded AK-A7 magazines; iii.Twenty seven (27) hand grenades; iv.Seven hundred and ninety three (793) rounds of live ammunition; v.One (1) gas cylinder; vi.Three (3) laptops; vii.One (1) GSM phone; viii.One (1) Lifan motorcycle; ix.One (1) Honda Civic Car (Ash); and x.One (1) printer.

The Service has also uncovered plans by the terrorist elements to infiltrate the ranks of the Islamic Movement of Nigeria (a.k.a. Shiites). This is in an attempt to assume a formidable cover to unleash violence and evoke a complete state of chaos in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja during the group’s Qudus Day Procession/Rally scheduled for today (23/06/2017) in Abuja and several States in the Northern parts of the country.

Sequel to this, the Service is warning members of the Islamic Movement of Nigeria (IMN) to desist from staging any form of procession or demonstration as the terrorists will seize the opportunity to unleash mayhem. The public is encouraged to disregard the antics of these terrorist extremists to cause a breakdown of law and order and instill fear in the populace.

The Service is working, in concert with other security agencies, to ensure that no section of the country is attacked during and after the Sallah celebrations. Law abiding citizens and residents are not only assured of their safety but enjoined to go about their normal businesses without fear of attack. It pledges to engage all stakeholders to ensure a hitch free Eid-el-fitr festival across the country.

While the public is enjoined to remain very vigilant before, during and after the Sallah celebrations, people with useful information regarding suspicious movements and faces as well as unusual activities of criminals and terrorists around their neighbourhoods, are advised to immediately avail same to the Service or the nearest security agency.

A woman identified as Mrs. Suzzan Idogei from Esan central in Edo - has been allegedly struck with madness after being hit with partial stroke from an occult group in the region for failing to provide her only surviving son for initiation. According to the woman's son, Felix Idogei who reached out to National Helm, he had to run away from Nigeria to Europe because of threat to his own life.

In an exclusive chat with National Helm, Felix revealed that his late father was a member of a very powerful occult group in Edo and even after his death years ago - the power of the group still had powerful effect in his family. He disclosed that members of the occult group kept pestering his mother to bring her first son (Fedelis Idogei) for initiation in order to replace his father in the group but she refused.

According to Felix, his elder brother also refused to join the group because he was a christian. The cult group allegedly killed him due to his refusal as he died in a mysterious circumstance. After the death of his elder brother, it was now his turn to be initiated. The cult group kept disturbing his mother both spiritually and also physically to bring the only surviving son (Felix) to join them. She reported the case to the police about the physical threat to her life (see affidavit below) but the police could do nothing about it.

Felix revealed that he had to flee Nigeria when the threat became too much...Thinking that his escape would help kill the matter, the cult group struck his mother with partial stroke, she couldn't use one of her hands. The mother was taken to Lagos from the village to stay with her brother but that move was also in vain as the cult group still reached out to her and finally struck her with madness.

The young man (Felix) disclosed that his mother is now insane and is nowhere to be found. The video footage which he provided of her - was taken before she went missing..

He said he's sharing this story to the public because 'I want people to learn from my late father ways so they won't think of joining any cult', in his words.

After being exposed about the free fruits donated by Saudi Arabia to Nigerian refugees which were being sold in markets, officials have quickly started sharing the remnant of the dates fruits to few IDPs and have also started taking pictures to post them on social media. These photos are from Kano.

It was earlier reported that about 200 tonnes of free date fruits donated by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to Nigerian refugees were being sold in Nigerian markets. The fruits, given to Nigerians who were on pilgrimage to Saudi Arabia and also obtained from the Saudi Arabia Embassy in Nigeria, has been marked either “Free” or “Not for sale”.

However, the authorities of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in Nigeria found the fruit on sale in Nigeria to their amazement.

The Nigerian government has since apologized to the Saudi authorities and has commenced investigation into the matter.

According to multiple online reports, this young boy was sent to Islamic school in Zaria, Kaduna from Ɓoko village in Zamfara State. His teacher allegedly put chain on him and sent him to beg for food to eat. The name of the Mallam is Sufi, at Rimin Tsiwa quarters in Zariya City Kaduna State.

Photos of the boy have been shared online in order to call the attention of the authorities. The Islamic School is adjacent to Alhaji Sani Rimin Tsiwa house.

The was panic today in Uloano Ndugba community in Isu Local Government Area of Imo State, following the tragic assassination of their President General, Bede Okeh by unknown gunmen. The President General was allegedly gunned down by assassins as he was preparing for today's father's day celebration.

It was gathered that the community were said to have been thrown into mourning, heartbroken, confused and totally in grieve over the ugly development.

The community youths and women of Isu LGA have called on the Imo State Police commissioner and government to quickly unravel the circumstances and those behind the gruesome murder of Chief Okeh.

Meanwhile, the corpse of chief Bede has been evacuated by the Isu LGA Police Division and deposited in the morgue.
