The Nigerian music producer, PC Lapez based in Hanoi, Vietnam took to Facebook account yesterday to cry out for help from Nigerians after he was abandoned on the road after being hit by a car. He has since had the operation. This is what he wrote hours later;

"Thanks everyone.......remember me in your prayers......out of $10,000 surgery fee you guys gave $2000 God bless you all......I'm alive"

A very brave Nigerian lady identified as Ufuoma Osera who lost one of her legs - has got herself trending online after sharing her powerful story to mark her birthday yesterday. The lady who appears stronger than ever shared a photo of her on an hospital bed with the words below;

I've never really been a "birthday" kind of girl. I've always kind of taken my birthdays for granted cos I'm like there will be another one next year . Looking back now at this picture I did not know what was going on around me I was in a battle for my life did not think I will make it to see this particular birthday so I just want to climb or in my case hop up to the highest mountain and scream ITS MY BIRTHDAY THANK YOU JESUS .

There was commotion and unrest at the federal road linking Abuja and Benue through Nasarawa State this morning after a bus belonging to Benue Links crushed a motorcyclist to death in Wowyen. According to reports, the driver while trying to overtake another car veered off the road and crushed the okada rider to death on the spot.

Angry mobs subsequently blocked the road, thereby causing heavy gridlock along the ever busy Abuja – Makurdi road.

Musiliu Akinsaya, popularly called MC Oluomo, an executive of the National Union of Road Transport Workers, NURTW in Oshodi area of Lagos state - was surrounded by a large crowd while walking through the streets of Oshodi. Tragedy occurred in a Cross River community after five children gave up the ghost after eating Cucumber in their mother's absence. Their great grandmother also died on hearing the sad news. Read the full details as shared by Paul Baji on Facebook..

Sadness has taken over the land of Amana, and indeed the entire Becheve ward in Obanliku have of Cross River State of Nigeria, as 5 grand children of one Mrs Dorthy Agbor from old ikwette village a.k.a Bottom hill residing in Amana have died after eating cocumber.

Sources reveal that the children ate the fruit in absence of their grand mother, but under the supervision of their grade grandmother as their grandma had attended the burial of one Mr. Emma Kechie.

On her return the next morning, she discovered that 5 of her grand children were unconscious, she then raised alarm for help. This attracted the attention of friends, neighbors, and colleagues who came to her assistance by rushing the victims to nearby clinics. Few minutes after one female child gave up the ghost.

Two hours later, 2 boys followed. As if that was not enough, 4 hours later another female child died. As I speak with you now one of the victims who was undergoing treatment in the hospital has just died. On hearing the death of these children, their grade grandmother under whose supervision the children ate the fruit collapsed and died few minutes after, bringing the total number of corpse to 6 from the same house. WHAT A TRAGEDY?. At the moment 4 of the corpse have been taken to old ikwette for burial. This is because the host community ( AMANA ) has objected to the idea of buring them in their land, as it is tragedy. They also say is to avoid future occurance as this kind of thing has never happened in their land before.

The Chief of the Air Staff (CAS), Air Marshal Sadique Abubakar yesterday, 5 July 2017, joined the Nigerian Air Force (NAF) Regiment personnel undergoing training at the Regiment Training Centre (RTC) in Kaduna. The personnel were for a bush exercise, specifically designed by the British Military Assistance Training Team (BMATT), to build the personnel’s capacity in Cordon and Search.

The CAS undertook the visit in order to witness first hand, the extent of progress on the training and in particular, the exercise, which involved the use of one of the NAF’s helicopters.

The CAS stated that the exercise was part of the capacity building initiative of the NAF towards further ensuring the base protection as a means of protecting the NAF’s air assets. He added, “our base in Maiduguri was once attacked, we are taking steps to ensure it never happens again”.

He further stated that the end state was the security of Nigeria and Nigerians, a task which the NAF was devoted to carrying out. He then expressed satisfaction with the performance of the personnel during the exercise. In his remarks, the head of the BMATT stated that he was impressed with the rate of assimilation of the NAF personnel and added that the capacity of NAF Regiment personnel for base defence had improved tremendously.

At the end of the bush exercise, Air Marshal Abubakar had lunch with all the trainees of the RTC, an act that boosted their morale.

While at the RTC, the CAS decorated Sergeant Laku Ibrahim and Lance Corporal Yakubu Zachariah with their new higher ranks of flight sergeant and corporal respectively. The two airmen had since been promoted for their gallantry while participating in the counterinsurgency operations in the North East but they could not be decorated earlier, as they were indisposed.

In his address, the CAS stated that the NAF would not relent in its efforts at rewarding excellence, commitment and dedication to duty. He therefore urged all the trainees to remain focused as they were critical to the security of Nigeria and Nigerians.

He then expressed his appreciation to the BMATT for their partnership with the NAF, which resulted in the training of the NAF personnel. The CAS had since returned to Abuja for other official engagements.

A Nigerian lady identified as Blessing Okagbo from Edo state has raised an alarm and is appealing to concerned bodies to come to her aid in Italy. In a trending footage posted online, the lady who claimed to be a victim of trafficking by a Nigerian syndicate - says she has been in the European country since 2011 hustling on the streets.

The young lady who lives in Lanzarote, Italy also claimed that she was arrested by the police who questioned her about how she came to Italy. According to her, she said she didn't want trouble so she had to tell them she was brought by her baby's father.

The lady who later switched to her Edo dialect in the video- revealed that she had to engage in contract marriage for her to stay in the country as her passport was seized. And since then she's been hustling...

From details translated from her dialect, the lady who is trying to stop her "hustle" is under attack and is now calling on the authorities to come to her rescue because her life is in danger as she said her ex-lover and others want to afflict her with insanity (madness) after accusing her of having HIV....

What is wrong with some people? As if drinking petrol and eating grasses was not enough, Pastor Lesego Daniel has reportedly instructed some of his church members to eat decorative flowers used on the podium in his church. Pastor Lesego Daniels of the Rabboni Centre Ministry Church in South Africa reportedly said that eating the flowers is part of a healing process as some photos were posted on Facebook..

The pastor first made headlines when he made the congregants eat grass and followed it up with petrol, comparing drinking petrol to Holy Communion.

The new sensation is flowers.

Troops of Joint Task Force, Operation Delta Safe (OPDS) has over the weekend conducted successful raid operations on identified local arms manufacturing hideout in Arhavwarien Kingdom of Ughelli South in Delta State. The Commander OPDS Rear Admiral Apochi Suleiman disclosed this to newsmen in Yenagoa during a Press briefing session.

The Commander represented by Commander Sector One, Colonel Moses Gara revealed that during the operation, 3 principal suspects were apprehended following a shootout with the suspects. They are; Mr Isiyaka Uchuko, Mr Ese James and Mr Elvis Phillips. Items recovered from them include; 13 Short barrel local made guns, 5 Double barrel local made guns, 10 x local made pistols, 3 x live cartridges, one empty catridge and 2 x Rounds of 7.62 millimeter special ammunition.

Admiral Suleiman said in another development, following a tip off, troops arrested one Mr Mathew Okafor, 50 years old in connection with the buying and selling of an International oil company wellhead popularly known as “Xmas Tree” and other wellhead accessories. He added that, troops also arrested a wanted oil bunkering kingpin, Mr Nkwe Godspower, 42 years old. Items recovered during his arrest include, 10x Cheque booklets belonging to different banks, an international passport, 5 x different Identity Cards and a sum of 1,000,100. 00 only. Both suspects are under our custody undergoing preliminary investigation.

Admiral Suleiman commended the general public and the press for all the support given to troops in their effort to achieve OPDS mandate. He appealed to the members of the public to provide timely information to troops in order to get rid of criminals from the region.

‎According to Omolaja Dax‎ who shared these photos, a suspected Badoo member was caught few hours ago at the back of Access bank in Ikorodu Benson area of Lags. He was reportedly found in a compound of an old woman whom the occupants didn't know how he got inside...

When he was searched, black oil, 4 ATM cards, handkerchief and other items were allegedly found on him...

According to reports, the guy's mother even came to the area as she confirmed the boy to be a bad boy. She reportedly showed people where she was injured due to cutlass attack from the young man.

Soldiers were called to arrest the young man as residents prevented the police from taking him away.
