NPComplete: Easy. Your stupidity is beginning to show.
This thread was about how the bible being banned was equal the bible being true. But we showed u that many other fictional works are banned at one time or another too. That should mean they are also true too.
Then u somehow veered into Voltaire scoffed against Christianity. Voltaire is dead, Christianity lives. So Christianity must be true. You shifted the goalpost yourselves already. Now we are showing u that many other religions also have people who scoffed and promised to wipe them out too. Islam is one of them. As a matter of fact, the history of Islam has people who vowed to eradicate them. But since Islam is alive and they are dead, we can follow ur logic and say Islam is true too.
What I am doing is establishing reasonable doubt. You can't be dumb not to see that. I know Scholar8200 is though. That guy is obviously not very bright. And u are accusing me of shifting goalposts? Who is shifting?
BTW, two stupid arguments supporting each other do not a smart argument make.
Thank you I think this should end this discussion about Islam bla bla bla. |

butterflyl1on: Voltaire said "in 20 years" = future Realmindz said in clear terms IN THE FUTURE (which covers from 0 to any time in the future including 20 years time"
Both comments depict a future occurrence. One in voltaires time and now in realmindz time.
Realmindz is as good a Voltaire incarnate as any In future the planet earth will cease to exist. According to your logic it means in 20 years time abi? Well done. |

Scholar8200: No sir: realmindz: But you should not worry, like I've always said, a future is coming when your likes would have gone into extinction and this nation will be occupied with more intelligent beings. A future now means couple of years abi? That's how you make things up and begin to run commentaries on them. A future is NOT the same as couple of years. That is pretty clear to anybody that understands English. |

The topic is about the bible being a fairy tale and my discussion is absolutely in line with it You gave him a litiny of Biblical facts and he is now crying that they are redherrings and goal post shifting. They know they can't defend their Jewish folklore so they'll do whatever to push it aside and change the subject. After all some of them here have openly admitted that atheist always want to dwell on the bible making it difficult for them. |

Scholar8200: There was no need bringing it here to start with! Someone on this thread said something similar to Voltaire hence the reference to how the latter's claims played out! Reason and logic is that we wait and see how that of the NL will play out! Not bringing in another religion to the mix! Till now that one has not brought out someone from 18th or 19th century with similar personal commitment to extirpate the Quran, what then? No body sad anything similar to Voltaire. Voltaire said in 20 years christianity will be no more. Show me where anything close to that was mentioned here. |

realmindz: Of course, but we all know the bible's figures are more accurate.
At least from the bible, about 6,000 years ago, we know the earth and the sun were created.
The bible also taught us of the stars, tiny little dots in the sky.
The bible taught us of two great lights, the sun and the moon.
And the bible gave a perfect analysis of the future, a future of flying donkeys, bows and arrows, scrolls and dragons as against rockets, jets, missiles, tabs etc
the bible spoke of a tower but we never mentioned the pyramids, of course not necessary.
The bible mentioned of the heavens but we never heard of any planet, of course that knowledge is not necessary... Not to forget that the bible mentions that all humans came down from one Jewish man and one Jewish woman called Adam and Eve. |

Scholar8200: Someone here is trying real hard to change the thread to a Christian vs Muslim thread! Anyway, our context has its source from history, not uncertain future projections Its simply and example. Am using Islam as a perfect example that completely counters your logic. I know many pastors that have stated that Islam is the religuon of the devil and it will be destroyed . The pastors are no more while Islam is on the rise to be the biggest religion on earth. You guys always sound funny. Just recently christians here were showing some projections that claim that atheism will drop in numbers in the near future and mastubating all over it. The same PEW research center that conducted the research and made the projection has stated that Islam will become the largest religious group in the near future and I notice that when ever that is mentioned christians will start saying that it's an unsure projection. |

I don't even need to go far than to look at Nairaland here and see many of your Christian brothers insulting Islam. We both know Islam will outlive all of us here. So if we follow your logic, do u agree that longevity confers truthfulness on Islam? Who doesn't know Voltaire? It seems u just read about him recently and u think namedropping him will help your point. Unfortunately no one here is impressed. Islam is projected to pass christianity in numbers in 50 years to come. By their logic Islam must be true. |

Scholar8200: One would have wished the responses on this thread will be more based on reasonable and diplomatic premises that might have informed the action of the 52 nations but no way! It has quickly been filled up with people venting their bitterness against The Bible and God. This speaks volumes about the 'reason' and 'logic' some folks claim to follow. The first reasonable question should have been, "why was the Bible banned in those countries? " Not all sorts of bile and needless rants that have as much relevance to the topic as the railers have in a religious section/thread! When you begin by telling lies like the OP then you shouldn't expect any one to take you seriously. Firstly the bible isn't banned in 52 countries. Infact the bible is only FULLY banned in only about 6 countries in the world. In the other countries there are only restrictions to bible usage. For example you will need government approval before you print, distribute and share the bible around. But if it is for personal usage at home you won't need any government approval. Christian apologist and their lie lie persecution complex will say that the bible is banned in such countries when it is not. It is the restrictions placed on attempts to convert people that Christain apologist tag as banning the bible when in reality it is NOT. Christians will want to spread their religion and it's propaganda on people , when they meet resistence they begin to cry. From Qora it says that: "The Gideons International have a list of countries where they are not allowed to operate: Afghanistan, Algeria, China (People's Republic), Comoros, Djibouti, Iran, Iraq, Libya, Maldives, Mauritania, Morocco, North Korea, Saudi Arabia, Somalia, Tunisia, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Yemen". But even with that other bible societies are allowed to operate in some of these countries, bible societies like the Catholic bible society are allowed to operate in some of the countries. So it is a lie that the bible is banned in 52 countries. There are many reasons why most of the countries will NOT want their citizens to convert to christianity. If you look at how christianity was speared it was done through conquest mostly back in the days and christian nations will NOT tolerate other religions. See what christians did to the Jews in the past and other minority European religions. Even in the bible, there are stories about God telling people never to worship other Gods and injunctions were passed tellibg peopple even kill members of their families if they entice then to worship other Gods. |

OLAADEGBU: I wonder why atheists get angry at the God they don't believe exists. No atheist aren't angry at your imaginary God. Your are ONLY emotionally wired to your religion and your see everything emotionally, hence all your response to criticism are emotional response. When an atheist questions your belief or criticizes it, all you see it as an atheist "fighting your God" instead of seeing it as an atheist questioning your emotionally held beliefs. But you on the other hand always try to criticize and condem the beliefs of others to promote yours. When they speak your language back at you then they are "fighting God". You label criticism as "fighting God" because it makes you feel special and makes you feel that you are serving the right God when in reality it is nothing but emotional response to criticism. It's something religious people love doing. It is called persecution complex. Example when you are criticize Islam, the average muslims will tell you that you are fighting Allah and forcing yourself to be the enemy of your creator. He won't respond to the points you've raised but will simply use that emotional response to end all conversation. You are no different from the muslims. That's all what you guys do. You use persecution complex to make yourself feel special in your bubble of delusions. |

Why is it that soldiers of the junior cader are never recognized when they are killed? You only get to hear about a soldiers rank if he is an officer. If it is a solider of junior cader they only report that so so number of soldiers were killed and a captain for example. They never state rhein ranks when they are the ones doing all the fighting. |
