Dr Nnamdi Onochie: “I advocate that Nigeria should negotiate an end to the activities of Boko Haram in the areas where the insurgency is active.’’

Mr Onochie argued that embracing dialogue would stop “the endless bleeding’’ of Nigeria’s economy by the conflict.

Now, this Onochie is supposed to be a holder of a Phd (Doctoral) and a Diplomat.
He has told us what NEGOTIATING with these Terrorists will SAVE us, but he has not told us what such Negotiation will cost us!
It is very sad that supposedly well-educated folks will just be throwing statements around, in an effort to appear relevant.
I expect Onochie to have researched Boko Haram PROPERLY, before uttering this sort of Nonsense.

For the avoidance of doubt, Boko Haram is not like Niger Delta Militants who are agitating for resource control, saying you cant be polluting our lands during Crude Exploration and using the proceeds to develop the North, while the ND does not even have portable drinking water or good roads.
Now, you can be REASON and NEGOTIATE with the Niger Delta Militants and say for example, we will build road give you good water, provide jobs, etc.
These is Negotiation , reasonable negotiation.

Boko Haram is not like Ipobs who are agitating, saying, " You are treating us unfairly in this UNION called Nigeria, you are side-lining us in Appointments, Rulership and denying us opportunities that is made available to other Ethnic Nationalities. We are therefore demanding to OPT OUT of Nigeria because we wont continue to exist in a sort of slavery to other Ethnicity.

Now, that is a reasonable Demand and one can engage in NEGOTIATION with such Group by offering them simple solutions: Fairness, Justice, sense of inclusiveness, equality is distribution of National Appointments and opportunities. This is what honest and and caring Fed. Govt would have done, instead of declaring them as terrorist and unleashing the military on them.

Now, if we look at Boko haram, there own demand is radically different from that of the two groups above.
Boko Haram (BH) wants to establish an Islamic Caliphate, a State of its own, governed by it with its own version of Islamic Sharia, like that of the Taliban, ISWAP and ISIS.
It wants its own independent state, taken out of Nigeria. It is about its own RELIGIOUS IDEOLOGY, an ideology that has been condemned even by Muslims living within that axis of Northern Nigeria and the Organisation has resorted to unleashing Terror on the Nigerian Govt and its Citizens, It continues to Bomb (Suicide Bombs), continues to raid and burn Villages, kill innocent people, and kidnap them for Ransom (money it uses to buy more weapons). It continue to ransack military bases and kill Nigerian Soldiers in their hundreds.

Now, the question l will ask this Idiot called Dr Nnamdi Onouchie is this: What will you negotiate over, with Boko Haram?
What will you concede to the terror group? Are you going to cede the NE and NW to them, so they can form their Caliphate, since that is their demand? They have been offered Amnesty, Peace, Money and whatever you can think off but since this is not their DEMAND, they simply take the money and continue the terror. WHAT IS THERE TO NEGOTIATE ABOUT AND OVER, WITH Boko Haram? What will or can Nigeria give, to appease Boko haram?
This is what the clueless Nnamdi Onuochie did not tell us.

You cannot even have any discussion with groups like Boko Haram, as a means of calming them down, unlike Niger Delta Militants or Ipob Militants[b] because THEIR DEMANDS are NON-NEGOTIABLE[/b].
Before you can even talk to them, you must weaken them considerably, if you cannot eradicate them completely using military means, to force them to drop their demand for a Caliphate and perhaps, settle for a mini-village, administered by their terrorist Mullahs.
But even this does not satisfy them and because the President is treating them with kid-gloves, as he considers them part of his consituency.
The problem now is thatthey have festered to the point of No-Return.

Same thing can be said of the Fulani Herdsmen.
Information is that this group of Herdsmen were invited from so many African countries, by the President Buhari and the Governor of Kaduna State.
Now, they intend to stay in Nigeria permanently and therefore are poised to use extreme Violence and terror, to seize land and annihilate indigenes living on such land. The President and Commander-in-Chief, Buhari,, has also been siding with these terrorists because they are of the same Ethnic Group, this as much has been said by the United Kingdom, US, UN and other independent states and Organisations.
Gradually, the Fulani Herdsmen, under the Umbrella of Myetti Allah Koure Cattle Association (MACBAN) have metamorphosed into a terrorist Group, doing exactly the same thing that Boko Haram is doing but targeting Southern Nigerians and those of the Middle Belt, whose Land they want to viciously occupy. They are inflicting Genocide on the people of the Middle belt and Southern Nigerians.
How do you negotiate with such terrorist group like the Fulani Herdsmen who by world ranking, are rated the 3rd Most Dangerous terrorist group in the world but President Buhari has refused to designate them as such because they belong to his ethnic group, since it is NOT POSSIBLE for the Indigenes of the land they intend to Claim by force, to vacate the land for them?

This why l think it will only get worse in Nigeria.
Now that the Fed Govt of Buhari is pushing Ipob/ESN into the real of "Active Resistance" through its use of unjustified force on them, the group will likely metamorphose into a Guerrilla Group and then all bets are off!
Same thing will eventually happen with the Sw and SS, each of these Nationalities will have to defend their land against the terrorist Fulani Herdsmen that want to annihilate them with terror. It i only a question of time, before Amotekun or a "sympathetic" faction like the OPC, Oduduwa Movement, Hunters Group, Agbekoya, etc before these Group too start adopting Guerrilla tactics and the Govt will label them as Terror Groups.

The Ijaw Nation and many other Militant Groups in the SS will also defend their land against this terrorist Fulani Herdsmen so, the will follow the same route of the other Nationalities, to prevent the Genocide that the terrorist FUlani Herdsmen and the biased Federal forces want to inflict on other Nigerians.

At the End of the day, if Buhari does not stop what he is doing with MACBAN, label them a terrorist group and deal with them decisively the way Ghana's President dealt with them, the Nigerian Govt will be unable to cope with the flash-points of Warfare that will spark in various areas of the country and the country will slip into Civil War of balkanization.

This is what supposedly educated people like Nnamdi Onuochie who have the ears of the President should tell him, tell him the truth otherwise, he would be the last President of a United Nigeria.
If Buhari does not call his Terrorist FUlani Herdsmen to Order, Boko haram will be Child's play with what would happen in other Regions of the country, because we are already seeing the first signs of its germination.
I dont want War and l pray we dont go to war but already, the Fulani Herdsmen have imposed War on other Nigerians and they would have No Choice than to defend themselves. If and When that happens, Nigeria is toast.

It was therefore agreed that since most messaging apps require a mobile number to subscribe or register, if ownership of lines is restricted, it will seriously undermine Boko Haram’s ability to exploit technology, and hamper the effectiveness of the terrorists.
In the light of this discovery, the minister of communication Pantami - early last year, 2020 came up with the proposal to the FG for all bank accounts, passports, GSM numbers to be linked to NIN & for Telecom companies to be given a strict deadline to restrict registerable SIMs to three (or less) per person & to deactivate all unregistered ones & those who breach the directive should be heavily fined by the NCC.
The first to react to this proposed policy was Abubakar Shekau, the leader of Bokoharam. He felt so rattled & threatened by this proposed policy by the communication mimister - Pantami which has the obvious potential of hitting his group hard & smashing his activities.
It was no surprise then, when on 13th February, 2020, Shekau - the leader of Boko haram released a video asking his members to kill the communication minister, Isa Pantami.

How dare you attempt to stop the works we are doing for the creator of the heavens and earth, simply because you have become a slave to the white world and the country. We pity you if you don’t repent.
"I swear to God, you are nothing. Initially, we have not begrudged with you, but now you have become a slave to the infidels; repent now and become a good Muslim. As the communication minister - Pantami has called the bluff of the terrorists & has gone ahead this year, 2021 with the implementation of the proposed policies of restricting the number of SIMs per individual, linking them with other personal data to NIN & the FG's recent announcement of naming those who through investigations using this policy are involved in terrorism in Nigeria, the enemies of Nigeria & Shekau has now resorted to their proven tactics of whipping their hysterical mob of self righteous social media terrorists masquerading as our moral compasses & objective critics to goad Pantami into resigning.
