It's because of people like @Omojuwa that I often cringe at the idea of handing power to people cos of their youth. When he was dragging Jonathan prior to 2015, u'd think it was for love of country. Oga was secretly cashing out. Tell me his like won't loot our treasury. Disgusting. - Aniedi Effiong @aniedifelix
Look, it will be foolish to Vote for any Nigerian, just because of their younger age.
Nigeria is so corrupt, as in "generational Corruption", as of today that even most 'Yoots' are worse than their Uncles.
Look at that Kogi State Heediot for example! He is one of the worst Governors in Nigeria, Zero FDI for his state, in the whole of 2019!
Yet the only thing he has to campaign, to become the President of N--g---ria (I cant even mention it because it is an insult to Nigerians), is his claim that he is a Yoot! Imagine what the thief will do to our National Treasury if we make a "Buhari's-type of Mistake" to elect him, because we think he is younger than Buhari?
grin grin

Everybody should show and prove their record of integrity over time, age is not really the major factor, just like having a hefty war-chest or being a Money-bag is.
Overall, what will sustain Nigeria's Democracy is not Youthfulness or otherwise, it is not the Lies and Promises that Politician like Buhari make, it is having solid, Govt-independent Structures in place, Structures that are devoid and independent of "Personality Leadership", Structures that can deal with Criminality from our Leaders because for the next two generations, anyone brought into Power/Politics of Nigeria, be he an Angel directly from Heaven, will become Corrupt.
The current "Nigerian System", is designed to reward extreme Corruption, in all its ramifications.

Its because those in the South see themselves as superior to those in the North for example most northerners wouldn't be admitted in the south even if they beat the target score. It was happening during Goodluck's regime because he was from the south.
Dont be silly, did you even read the story at all?
The exam was for 1st Class students and it was an ONLINE EXAM (Like JAMB) where you get your Result immediately.
The Northerners who took it, ALL FAILED. That was WHY.
The Northerners have never displayed academic excellence, since Nigeria was created. 90% of PhD holders from the North, got it in Islamic Studies and from some mediocre University in an Islamic Country.
It is not about population or Quota System, that is where Northerners can survive

How many Northerners have you heard that thrived in an acadmic environment outside the North, where they cannot leverage on Quota System to make progress? How many Northerners are in the list in America, where Nigerians make up 75% of graduating class in IVY lEague Universities? Non, they are all Southerners. undecided undecided

How would a Buhari, who have failed three times in the past, won in 2015, if not that the Presidency was zoned to the North in APC, and the South supported him, with the expectation that the situation would be reversed and the turn given to the South in 2023?

But now that their own turn is abut to expire, Buhari quickly Hijacked the NWC headed by Oshiomole and filled the place with Fulani/Northerners like Gov Bunni and a few "useful Eediots" like Yahaya Bello of Kogi State, who ar now trying to STEAL the Southern Slot.

Please tell Buharo that the same way we supported APC to Victory in 2015, is the same way we will OPPOSE it into DEFEAT in 2023, if the 2015 agreement to Zone the Presidency to the South is not respected.

EducationRe: JAMB: Fraudsters Take Control Of Our Site, Divert N10m Allowance Of Ad-hoc Staff by dam4sam: 6:58pm On Apr 14, 2021
I think the problem lies with our Security Operators (Police, EFCC, SFUI, etc), they are corrupt and do not do (or know how to do) their job.
You report a FInancial/Cyber Crime to them, they would ask you to first go and bring a huge Sum of Mone, before they can investigate the case!

Some of them are into Cahoots with the Cyber Criminals in Banks, CyberCafes, Yahoo boys, etc.

In Every Online Fraud, the stolen Money must pass through an Account or End up in a bank Account.
All Bank Accounts have BVN (or so we are told) and the owner of such Account can be traced since we can get their Bio-Data from their Bank Account.
So, all these Cyber Police needs to do is to immediately get a Court Warrant
(and the Judges/Judiciary should be smart and helpful in such cases), to block transactions on such Account within a few Hours and then get the details of the owner of the Account, for interrogation.
Once we start clamping them and their Collaborators within the banking System into Jail, the level of Fraud will reduce.

We should also have the SFIU and EFCC paying unannounced Visits to all Cybercafe (not to extort them), to check if they have fraud softwares like Keyloggers or hidden Cameras that trap Customer Data/Details. In most cases, they are th eones selling these details to Fraudsters and should be arrested immediately for Fraud.

I went to a CyberCafe to print a document and asked the Operator to just highlight the Document (located on the USB Stick l gave him), Click Print, select his Printer and Print.
But he insisted this is impossible (something l have done so many times on my own HP Printer at home but l was out of Ink on that day) and he has to Copy the document to his own Hard Drive first.
It was a sensitive Document so he Copied it, opened it and saw what was there. I asked him to delete the document once he is done.
After printing, he handed my USB back to me but pretended he deleted the Document,
I told him l dont want my document left on his system. He said he had deleted it and showed me one empty Folder.
I asked him to open his "Download Folder" in "My Documents" and there was a copy of My Document.
He apologised and deleted it. He said it is all good now.
I asked him to open his recycle Bin, sitting there was the document he just deleted!
He said "Oga, na waa for you, you know everywhere"! he now deleted it permanently.

Everyone must ensure that their Document is PERMANENTLY deleted, even from the Recycle Bin (where it goes after deletion and can be "Undeleted" from!). They dont even need to load a Clients document on their Machine, if it is just to Print. Just Right-CLick the Document and Click Print, but they will insist on copying it to their systems, so they can go over it later......... and sell it to Fraudsters or use it themselves to commit Fraud.

Nothing here, the lady didn’t understand sowore twist to her question.
I mean, just reading the way all these non-entities were gloating OVER NOTHING, you would think they have won the Jackpot.
The people posting and abusing Sowore here sure cant comprehend simple statements.
At least, if l restrict myself to what she published, Screen-Shots which she published, there is nothing in those Screenshots, apart from her last-minute tantrums, that shows that Sowore HAD TAKEN OUT A GRANT IN HER NAME OR COLLECTED ONE ON HER BEHALF!

She was the one making insinuations and if you observe, she cleverly left out the response of Sowore that would have followed that her last Post.
She does not want us to read his response, which l am certain, would have made nonsense of her allegation.

Sowore has dismissed her Claim and referred her to the Attorney in his Office, who deals with such application and who should know, whether they actually "went through" with the application.
She cant decode what "CONCEPT PAPER" meant, so she assumed it to mean "Grant Application" and even at that, was it submitted? Was it Approved? Whose Account was the money paid to? These are Questions you get answers to, before rushing to Social Media to accuse someone of Sowore's Stature.
The girl has ruined herself completely, because:
1.) She showed she wanted to smear Sowore, by saying we LIVE UNDER THE SAME ROOF. She deliberately used that phrase "live". She could have said we "work" in the same building but she wanted some ignorant and uneducated m0r0ns to mis-interpret that to mean they were 'sleeping on the same bed'! grin grin
That is an insult to the "female taste" of Sowore. Just look at the revolting Stock Fish that is talking (God forgive me, l cant create one o grin )
That Building is an Office.

Just watch, very soon, you would here that she is sending people to begging and crying on Tweeter.
She has really jumped over the Cliff, on this one.
And those m0r0ns who dislike Sowore (mostly from that side of Nigeria undecided ) are quick to jump on it and be abusing the Activist.

Now this is my summary.

Yele apparently wanted to inform her of the grant he had taken out in her name but she was in detention.
She learnt about it but could not ascertain it's progress because Yele was in detention.

So she rather confirmed the story from Yele's lawyer but still could not confront Yele face to face on it when he got out of detention even though they lived under the same roof.

Now my multi-million questions are these?

1.) Is cohabitating part of their Revolution now struggle?

If yes,

2). Is there even a remote possibility that Yele has slotted either his floppy disc or hard disk into her P. Drive during the time they lived under the same roof?

If yes,

3). Is it moral to mix business with pleasure and can someone who does be trusted enough to become President of a country as confused as Nigeria?

If no,

Which is a worse fraud? A). Shagging someone whom you should mentor or B). Scamming her of a grant obtained in her name?
ENGLISH COMPREHENSION is your Problem!

"We live under the same Roof".
The above is what you MISINTERPRETED as "we sleep in the same Room".
A House, with say Six Apartments, has a Single Roof.
Each Family in all those SIX APARTMENTS, though unrelated and having their own Spouse, live UNDER THE SAME ROOF.
It does not mean they are sleeping with each other, Muumu.
Cohahiting is 'Living Together' but it is not the same as 'Living Under The Same Roof', dumb-azz.
Stop showcasing this sort of ignorance and gutter-background on the internet, it does not forget!

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

As to the issue of "GRANT", the girl in question appears confused and hasty to smear Sowore's image and l hope she is not being pushed or maybe she sees this as an opportunity for fame?

The telephone Screen-shots (not her concocted story) shows that Sowore is "not in the loop" of the Grant Application but as the Head of the Organisation, knows about it.
Sowore and the Girl were in detention at various times, (Sowore, more times grin )
He directed her to the Attorney who was in position to shed more light on it, which is what he should do.

Its like telling the CEO of a Company that the tyre of one of the Company car has gone down or you are looking for the Key! He will direct you to the "Head of Admin" or a junior Officer, because he wont remember all such "Minute details".

When she got very pushy, Sowore laid it out to her clearly: I personally did not prepare or receive any Grant in your name, lady.

Now, what l was expecting the silly girl will do, is PRODUCE A GRANT APPLICATION FORM IN HER NAME, SIGNED BY SOWORE. (She can easily get a certified Copy from the Organisation to which the Grant Application was made).

You dont go on Social Media and DEFAME somebody with Political Exposure, without Adequate Evidence (even if it is true!).
It will rebound on this Girl in a manner she would not believe.
Maybe she wants to go to jail a second time, this time, for good reason, she should go and ask the likes of Aunty Kemi Olunloyo

These are the same thrill men get for going after married women.
Naaah, Poverty and very low Self-Esteem is what will likely make a Single, Young man go after a Married Woman.
If you put a Rich, beautiful young lady and a Rich Married Woman in a compound and give a "financially stable" (not even rich) young Man an opportunity to sleep with EITHER of the two, which one do you think he will go for?

99% of the time, the young Man will go for the young lady, this is because money is not an issue here.

But if you vary the situation, use a "Poverty-Stricken" young Guy, in place of the young man above, 99% of guys will still go for the Rich, young, beautiful lady, over the Rich, beautiful married Woman (Being Married, is not an attraction in Women, that young Men drool over, unlike Girls)

Now, if we further vary the situation and use a "Poor Guy", a Poor, beautiful young Lady Vs. a RIch, Ugly, Married Woman.
About 85% of "Poor" young Guys will go for the Rich, Ugly Married lady!
This shows the effect of "Poverty" on a Man's Self Esteem. He sees the Rich, Ugly, married Woman as a passport to Money. The Sex comes secondary.

The way the mind of Men work, is very different from the way the mind of Women work.
In all cases, young girls will only go after a "Married" man, if he has Money. (Other reasons are secondary).
Young Ladies love Married Men-die! Apart from Money, they are good in bed, very romantic, very caring, they listen attentively and can really make a young lady feel loved.

To play Aristo, you must have money or be ready to throw money around.

How mastering the fundamentals of math and science will make him a more well rounded problem solver. What I dislike about the public school system is how when someone discovers what they are good at early in life, you still want to overload them with fluff subjects that do not resonate with their overall interests. If we are in a market economy in which mastering your skill is at a premium then people should be allowed to specialize very early if they want to. A core curriculum of Math, Logic and Computers from ages 8 should not be that far fetched for example. You have a flair for writing? Okay Literature, Logic and Creative Writing. If you’re interests change as you grow older or you want to take on more subjects you should be allowed to. But the default shouldn’t be to insist people take 10 subjects when the market economy is skewed towards people who are very good at one or two things.
Hahhaha, Bill wetin? grin grin Thank you for your kind words but you have exagerated his potentials, he is just small, 11yr old who started JSS1 about two Months ago. grin He will get over it and be a good Doctor or Engineer in future.
You are right in some things though, he finds school very, very boring but l told him he shouldn't be bored because that is the basis of whatever anyone wants to do later in Life. Get your degree first and then you can branch anywhere you want.

I dont think Bill Gates is normal (I think he has a 'mental' problem but just because he is rich, people tend to overlook that angle). Elon Musk is another Rich but eccentric being, the type that can put the whole world at risk/danger.
But my Son is just a small boy who is still trying to discover and explore the world though if l allow him, he would prefer to stay and study at home and still pass more than a lot of people in his class but l wont encourage such behavior.
He can do his Programming Stuff in his free time but School work comes first. That is how we were trained and we are doing well in life. He is certainly no genius or prodigy, just some smart alec with computers and too much bandwidth.
He came back from School the second week or so and said: Can you imagine what our Teacher taught us in IntroTech Class today? I said what? He quickly brought out his Notebook and showed me the Topic: Technology Tools: How to use a T-Square. he drew a nice picture of a Tsquare with some explanations he copied from the Notes on the Board.
I asked him if anything was wrong is that? He burst into one arrogant laughter (that annoyed me) and said you are actually not different from my Teacher, both of you are living in the past. Aaah, me? Living in the past? What do you mean? What were you expecting him to teach you in the second lecture-day of the Subject?
He asked me how l think T-Square solves any of the problem of technology that we have in Nigeria or the world? I was thinking about it but l then asked him what he would be teaching, if he were the teacher?
He said he would, for example, be teaching the students how they can develop flexible Solar Panels that can be used on a variety of surfaces, apart from the rigid ones we put on Roofs of Houses. He then went on about how he can teach them how to mix some Chemicals which have great affinity for absorbing the Energy from the Sun and can even boost it by a few factors, mix it with ordinary Paint and use it to paint the roof of Buildings so that every roof becomes a Solar panel, without the huge cost, and heavy weight of Panels we currently put on roof tops.
I was still thinking about that when he even added that do l know that if we can find a way to make Solar Panels very thin and water proof, we can actually take advantage of the over 70% surface of the Water around the earth to lay Solar panels on Seas and Oceans and just cable the power to Solar Stations, for distribution, without even using our roofs or wasting land for Solar array stations?.
He said do l know that Nigeria can be exporting such Panels and make money from it (here we go again, Money! Money!! Money!!) and we wont have need for Generators? shocked shocked
Okay, that shocked me because l have never thought along that line and l wont expect someone who is just a few weeks into JSS1 to even pay attention to such, even if it is that he saw it or read it somewhere.
He just shook his head at me and went away from my presence. I wanted to tell him that teaching is based on School Curriculum and not on what one Boy in the Class thinks . Well, l just faced my own business and promised myself that l will have a word with the Teacher to see if he can teach them things that have more to do with the real world, when next l go for 'Open Day' but l am very careful not to make a Teacher feel a parent wants to tell them what to do..
But l still worry for his health and future, l dont want him to be consumed by work or Science or love of Money.
As a parent, l think l owe it a duty to guide his early growth, moral values and respect for the 'order of things', something scientist always try to recreate.

Ajibade123:
mehn your son might just become the best Zuckerburg or bill gate
mind you he is not crazy at all
in developed countries there are lot like him of his age
please don't let his talent die
Naaah, l dont want him to be that kind of person.
I just want him to be a nice adult, with just about enough money to feed his wife and children and have time to come and say Hello to his Pappa in old age. Play Computer games and things like that
I dont envy all those people at all, despite their fame and money.
I prefer a quiet life, a family life, not all those glitter of public eye that those people are exposed to on a daily basis,
Do you know how many people swear for Bill gates in one day, especially as regards this Vaccine and body Implant suspicion?
That is what comes with fame and money.
I dont even know why an 11yr old will be talking in Billions or comparing himself to Billionaire, instead of thinking about how he will ride the Bike l bought for him (Bike that some other children are praying to get, is lying there unused. angry )

BTW, it is not his talent, he may have been watching too much SCIFI Movies, l think he should be watching more of Children programs and Cartoons. Maybe he just get the thrill of knowing he can do what others his age cant do. I dont consider that a talent. Talent is what you are born with, like you are a genius in it.

But l appreciate you, that you think he is somebody or can become somebody that popular. grin
I just want a normal son, not some crazy dude that will eventually work for a Govt that build weapons of destruction or change how mankind was created by God.

Now that he is interested feed his interest. If you can afford it get a maths tutor to take him on mathematics way above his level. Introduce him to C++ then let him start to learn data structures and algorithms and get him into competitive programming. He would meet a lot of peers of his age who are crazy doing that. There's also a lot of competitions doing that and offering massive cash prices.

Feed his interest.
I think he is too young for what he is trying to accomplish.
I like him but l will prefer he pays more attention to his School Class Work.
There is a competition for his time, (Homework and HouseWork) with the amount of time he wants to be spending on the Computer.
His Mathematics is average though l can see he has the potential, if he gets a good Tutor.
I am thinking he is just greedy (loves to make money too much, for my liking, he must have taken after his Mother grin) at an early age and he should focus on having A-grades in his School.)
I just want him to be a normal kid, grow up like his elder siblings and little by little, enter University and move on in Life.

I appreciate your words of encouragement and l think you would make a good mentor to someone, sometime.
Keep it up.

My 11yr old Son loves coding-die.
He has mastered Phyton, moved on to Java Scripts, C# and Programming in 3D , all self taught.
Now he is pressurising me to buy him a 3D Printer and a high Spec Laptop that costs almost $7,000.
Boy does not know that Kontiri is still hard and Pandemic is not yet gone. grin
Na posting l just dey post the guy since January but God-willing, if l can, l will surprise him on his 12th Birthday with both.

The crazy dude is always talking about how he will be richer than Elon Musk and Jeff Bezos (My fear is that he does not become one of those crazy nerds or have brain problem, he talks too much about things l have not even heard of! injecting people with nanobots to unleash their memory power, something like' Metheskellar' Machine shocked How he wants to harness electric field power around Mars and he would inject me with some thing and l would live for a thousand years! I told him l dont want to live more than hundred, he can keep his invention grin bla bla bla ).

Sometimes, l fear he is going bunkers (How can an 11yr old be sleeping by 2am and sometimes by 6am he is awake because he has to dress for school (JSS1), but Thank God, l have other children who are more "normal" Children.
I do block his internet and seize his electronics (phone and Laptops) at times, to force him to rest, before he falls sick and die on me. grin

Do any adult and experienced Developer and programmer here go through this kind of phase or should l be very worried about his mental state?
He hates playing with his age mates but would rather want to involve in adult discussions or hang-out with them and most time, na to lecture them or some scientific, futuristic thing on is mind. shocked

Edit: I just read the story now, withthe retraction.
Is it not curious, that of all the Technologist and Scientist in Nigeria, the only person Buhari could make a Minister for Digital Economy/ Technology is a "SHEIK"? Phd in Islamic studies grin grin
No wonder he has been dishing out stupid policies on BVN and NIN all this while.
Nigeria don suffer in the hands of these terrorists sha.
PoliticsRe: Tinubu Begins Distribution Of Rice To Kano Residents (Photo) by dam4sam: 3:02pm On Apr 12, 2021
Someone Asked earlier: Why is he doing this? What is his end-game?

I will try to answer that question, as much as l can.

Tinubu believes that, as long as he panders to the North, they would help him clinch the Presidency even if the South does not vote for him.
His Birthday in kano, his #50M donation for a small market fire (While Yorubas in Shahsha market are not given a penny by him), his father Christmas in April Rice distribution in Kano, etc are part of his strategy to buy-over Northern Voters, especially the large voting block in Kano.

He wants to re-enact the OBJ strategy but he has overlooked a few things or maybe that was deliberate "blindness" caused by his Ambition:

- OBJ was brought out of Prison because the Northerners TRUST HIM AS A STOOGE-PRESIDENT.
In the case of Tinubu, the Northerners do not trust him at all, he is the one pandering to them.
Infact, l am almost certain that right now, some Northerners are doing "yinmu" behind his back! What is wrong in their people getting out of his Wealth and if we go back what Senator Shehu Sanni said (that if Tinubu had gone along with a Hausa interpreter who can translate what they are saying to him grin , he will be shocked. undecided) Meanwhile, he is Tolling Lagos to death at the same time.

- OBJ has a "Pedigree of Trust" with the Northerners, he handed over to them (Shagari) in 1979, so the TRUST was based on Evidence of History.
Tinubu on the other hand, can only claim he "helped Buhari to become President" (which is true) but that was a "transaction" in that it was about "You go first, then l go after your own tenure", it was not based on any Pedigree of Trust, as was in OBJ's case.

- OBJ has an a good career in the military, though like all military leaders, he was also a "looter".
They loot with "authority and military fiat". So most of their looting is 'coded', even though no-less extensive
Tinubu on the other hand, having been a Governor of Lagos and "Lord of Bourdillon", has a very "Tainted Character", especially from the point of view of those looking at him from the outside. He is percieved as a Drug baron, an endless Looter of Lagos Resources, an very "greedy over-lord" who planted himself and family members in almost every cash-generating resource in Lagos and the South West (From LCC, Lekki Toll-gate, to Lagos Inland Revenue Alpha Beta Scam, to Iya Loja of Lagos, to Lagos BRT, installing his Cousin as Osun Governor... the list is endless.
If it generates money in Lagos, it is owned/headed by a Tinubu Family or loyalist!

- OBJ has the "loyalty of the military Code" in that Nigerian military men tend to support themselves and they rape the country's treasury, that is why an OBJ will not probe an IBB and an Abdusalam will not probe an Abacha, despite the obvious trial of evidence of corruption. Thus, their comradeship is very solid
Tinubu on the other hand, is a Civilian Politician and Politicians are well known 'to flip', once their interest is no longer served. It i always about themselves and how much money they can make from it.
Tinubu is right now, "trying to BUY the loyalty of the North", he feels once he has that 'in the bank', he is set.
One will wonder, that with the amount of opposition to his candidacy in the South of Nigeria, especially the SE and SW, he should be placating them first but Hell-No, he believes they has a Dog in this fight and would eventually coalesce to his side.

The advent of Tinubu in the Politics of the South West has its good sides but on the overall, he did more damage to the psyche of Yoruba Youths in the last twenty years, than any other Politician.
On the average, the SW Youth aspires to be an Area Boy, Agbeero, Owo'mida, Political thug, Street Urchin, Okada/Maruwa Driver, Omo'onile that sells his Parents Property and Family Land and other despicable virtues, not because they are less intelligent now but because Tinubu has shown them that it is a "short-cut" to Political Position and with it comes free money!.
Look around the SW and tell me who are your Councillors, your LGA Chairmen and other Govt appointees and you would understand my point.

This is a major reason why the SW has been devoid of any concrete progress, especially infra-structurally (go and look at your street roads, water, drainage, etc in still in doubt) aisde from that which it witnessed during the tenure of Gov. Raji Fashola.
Should this trend continue and would it not get worse, with a Tinubu Presidency that takes its root from the North?

This is where it gets tragically, very dangerous for Southerners.
A Tinubu Presidency will be the worst Nightmare the Yorubas can ever imagine (dont even mention the Igbos; dem nor like him, him nor like dem - Ras Kimono RIP). And with what is already happening with RUGA and Fulani onslaught on Southerners, to have a 'Yoruba' President that is "beholden to the Northerners", will really lead to a 'psychological breakdown of the Southerners' and the Yoruba race in particular, because he is Yoruba, using-up the the "Quota of the SW" and will be acting against the core interest of Southerners and the SW in particular.

That will really be tragic for Yorubas and Southerners. Tha damage will last for half a century.
V.P Osinbajo or former Governor Raji Fashola will make a far better and more reliable candidate from the SW, than Tinubu.

My Free Opinion, My RIght.
