This is the real OG... You really rocked that time. Original wears, not chinko o. Sometimes, it may not be more than just a pair of Bikers or Sanchos or Moccassin, then or three Levis or with Lee jean trousers with many DKNY, Tommy Hilfiger, Van Hussen, Guess by Giorgio Massiano, Gucci, Moschino, etc. Bluna: |
AlfaSeltzer:Do you have a family at all? I am sure you don't. And even if you have any, there's trait of dysfunctional in the tone of your comment. Let me start by asking how old you are. |
Everyone is a Nigerian first. If you doubt this, go and apply for Visa to go to another country or travel to Benin republic, Ghana or Cameroun and hear what they will call you. |
If this trend of hate speech, unguarded utterances and vitriolic missiles towards one another by the different ethnic groups that make Nigeria unique, we shall find ourselves at the bottom of respect by the outside world. The major reason for some people's grievances is the loss of election in 2015. But Nigeria is not an enclave of a particular group. We have tasted PDP and we felt the party needed reality check and was shove aside. Now, APC may get similar treatment, it's part of the fundamental human right of every Nigerian. Please, let's guard our mouths and face our challenges together. The disunity in the land will continue to make us more vulnerable to exploit by the group which has held us hostage in our fatherland. And if any group wants away, let it be in the best humane possible. You cannot be crying of ill treatment and also met same to another person. You are as guilty as those you are accusing. Let live in peace as Nigerians, we are better of and strong as a united entity than broken into crevices. I know how heartbroken it is to be rejected, neglected and exploited by those who are supposed to cater for you and see to your welfare. I agree Nigeria is a failed State but failing in a course in the school does not mean you cannot pass it if you resit, so we should give Nigeria entity another chance with more involvement and alertness to the antics of those who divide and rule us. We are in this struggle together. No part of the country is exempted from the suffering ravaging the land. No region is excluded from one form of marginalisation or another, it only varies in degree and form. We are in it together. |
You are getting on my nerve, @anticoward. When will you own up to your manliness & fight back your adversaries with gusto? You don't become a man by accident, you become a man by choice. Be a man & give it back to David in his own coins. I hate selfish friends. |
Well done, AntiCoolGuy |
You deserve a pat on your back. The story is worth every time I spend on it. #Continue |
@antiStoryTeller, you are a surprised package. The jargons you employed in your story gave you out as an Engineering or Geology or Geography grad & you could string a fascinating story like this. It's so epic. I just want to encourage you, bro. Meanwhile, you're taking too long to nail Toke. |
I can't believe it that post like this attracts just a comment. Uhm... |

No matter how the society expects us to behave, we are humans first. No matter the status we are bestowed, it cannot take from us that we have blood running through our veins and flesh fattening our bones, we are humans first. We are humans, prone to mistakes, bound to fail, quest to be stronger. We are only humans. As the social media is agog with the outbursts of the husband of the most vocal female artiste in Nigeria, Tunji ‘Teebillz’ Balogun and the reactive missile fired by his wife, Tiwa Savage, many people have taken an arm chair analyst’s position to pass the blame to either of them, even those who are afraid to tread where this couple have plunged into. It is sad and it is a shame. Marriage is the first institution instituted by God; it is very sacred but time without numbers it has proven to be the Achilles heels for many men across history. Why do we fall in love? Don’t judge this couple harshly, they are humans after all. When I woke up reading Teebillz outcry on social media last Thursday, I knew it was a moment of fury, the last card to make or mar the relationship. It is unfortunate that the latter is more prominent from the views of those who have comment on the issue that has caused untoward pains and deep wounds in the hearts of these people who once professed love for each other. Love happens; it can glow and can go. I still do not believe the one between Tiwa and Teebillz is gone, it is only fading and can either be restored gradually or extinguished painfully. Many people have questioned the rationality behind Teebillz’s outburst but I would rather defend him, though not supporting all his actions. This man was doing fine before meeting Tiwa, the record can attest that he was averagely known in the entertainment circle, at least. Tiwa rode on his pedigree to fame. It happens, we do things for love and sometimes we do not like what we get out of it. I see Teebillz as someone who has bottled a lot in order to protect his marriage and his woman’s fame. We live in a society where a man is expected to be the alpha and omega of his home and you know what, money makes the world go round, especially in entertainment circle where you have to oppress your inner man to impress the public. Psychologically, if you bottle up so many grudges, pains set in and it takes little time to explode. The explosion is the gory aspect the victim live to regret, yet it could not be helped some times. It shall be foolhardy of us to exclude Tiwa from all of this drama, she is not completely clean and she should have been better at home than in her music. She chose her musical career over fighting for her son, Jamil. True mothers fight on, no matter what. When they both signed the dotted line at the registry, they were told they have become one and not two. Life is funny, that our song bird seems like the breadwinner of the house after she has achieved stardom does not make her the husband of the house. The Germany Chancellor is a woman and I believe she has a man who is not one tenth popular as she is, yet she has not been involved in marital scandal. That is not to say she does not have her own baggage but she manages it better. Beauty can earn you a dreamed marriage but only character earn you an enduring matrimonial home. Unfortunately, this is what we have nowadays. From Tiwa’s planned interview, she noted Don Jazzy and other artistes at Mavin Records do commend her for concealing what she is passing through in her marriage, then I dare say the interview was organized by Don Jazzy to fester his interest in Tiwa Savage but trust women for their vulnerability, she fell for it, bare it all and exposed her husband, herself and her son to ridicule. While Teebillz can continue to claim that his Instagram account was hacked, though we would not take him serious, Tiwa Savage cannot refute all she has said because it is now on record. That interview will continue to haunt her. I only pity the innocent little boy who has not understood the gravity of his parents’ stupidity for now. Another thing I would not subscribe to in Tiwa’s interview is that of their baby’s food. Haba! How much does the little boy consume that you cannot cater to save your little boy from this disgrace? If you can offset his father’s bills at the clubs, paying his father’s N45m debt, what is the child’s food in your blessings? I do not buy into it. Tiwa Savage, if you can involve this little boy, then you are only trying to destroy your husband completely, your interview is ill-thought. As for Teebillz, he will be remembered as a man who failed to come to the reality that he is destined to be the backbone of his wife. Instead, he chose to be at the forefront. I was never into Teebillz at first, I would rather prefer a man to watch his wife’s stardom managed by another professional. He gave himself out to ridicule and he should accept the blame instead of trying to commit suicide. You are a coward, man. A real man fights back after retreating. We do not win always, Teebillz should have retreated and fired back to prove them wrong but he is no brainer. He is softer than his woman. Well, I don’t blame him. Money can make a man safe from anything in this world but not from the woman he loves. I am not perfect in the chess game of love too. Samson with all his muscles fell for Delilah’s lap, Solomon with all his wisdom fell for Queen Sheba, and history is full of how men lost the grip because they loved their woman beyond limit. This is an emotional war, I wish both Tiwa and Teebillz quick recovery. While these two adults can either learn to clean the mess they have created for themselves, somebody should help me watch after Jamil. He is my hero in all of this, he has been silence where his parents have tried to outsmart one another to curry public sympathy. I love you, Jamil. Singing ‘Olorun mi’ by Tiwa Savage, dedicated to Jamil.

How can I describe what is unfolding in Ekiti State? Is it not madness to blame a predecessor for spending N3.2b to build the State a new Government when you are using over N210m to give the State capital power supply in a month? Can someone give us the breakdown of how these people are trying to run us down? Mr. Governor, do you know Ekiti State is one of the poorest States in Nigeria? Does it ever come into your consciousness that we have graduates all over the State and outside doing menial jobs like ‘Okada rider’? Do you know some people are trying to raise just N100,000 to start a business of their dream? Do you know with that amount (N100,000) they will become bread winners in their respective family and our dear State shall be peaceful and will also reduce your security headache? Oh…we need to talk here, Otunba. I know you know how to manipulate our sensibility but I don’t think we are all gullible not to have questioned you for your lack of prudency. Ekiti State is not as rich as you are projecting, nothing is going on in the State that you can lay claim as legacy. I can say categorically that your first term would be over 200% better than this term you are. What happened, Mr. Governor? Have you lost your creativity? Have you lost enthusiasm for governance so much that the State is too dull and bored for the inhabitants? I even have something I will like to tell you, see this as an opinion in good faith. Don’t you think you should leave the opposition role to your political party’s official or better still, till the next electioneering period? I have heard and read how bored your opinions are, people are saying that you should let your laudable projects in Ekiti State insert common sense into the mind of the ruling party. I think I share that opinion; empty vessels make the loudest noise. Uhm…I wouldn’t want my Governor to continue to pay millions of Naira out of the scarce resources in the State to attack the President on national newspapers. Besides, this is Africa o! If PMB turns his draconian attention to you, you would have suffered before any respite comes from the international community. And if your antecedent is anything to go by, you are not a darling of any outside Ekiti State. I don’t think your new found friends in the South-East can sheepishly follow you to Golgotha and to say the North will favour you over theirs is worst than collecting rain water with basket. Lest, I forget, can we shed the idea of N210m monthly allocation for lighting Ado-Ekiti? If the money is collated for six months we can have at least, a fruit juice factory in Ado-Ekiti and that will not only reduce unemployment but boost the State’s revenue. Living a purposeful life by damilare charles og’leye Introduction Welcome to life, problem guaranteed! Wait before you giggle, the fact that there is problem means you are a problem solver. May be you think there is a more palatable way I could have said that to your hearing. But I did not plan to make you live in the euphoria that life is a bed of roses. Expect to step on some thorns, because for every star on the shoulder of an army general, there is always a scar beneath his uniform. Pastor E.A Adeboye once said, “the fact that you love God doesn’t mean there will be no problem in your life, problems are part and parcel of every man”. Living a purposeful life requires you to be truthful to yourself. How can you do that? It is through self discovery. You will discover what you are when you painstakingly analyse what you are entail as a multi-talented person, who is able and limitless, rather than a constrained person some like to see in themselves. Purposeful life defined Purposeful life is a life according to predetermined objectives. Everyone on earth is but for certain objectives and the world is deteriorating because many people have misplaced their priorities here on earth. May be I need to inform you that none of the great men that have ever graced this planet called earth has been able to achieve more than ten percent of his potentials. I expect that to ring bell in your ear if this whole thing is meant for you. To live a purposeful life, you must be determined for self-discovery. You must be determined One of the quotes I learnt earlier in life is, “determination is the root of success”. I used to write it on the cover of my notebooks and the more I grow the more I read more meaning to it. Determination makes you pursue your purpose stubbornly. You may hear inspirational speech or read life changing books, but nothing will happen if you are not determined to make something happens. George Horace Loriner said, “you have to get up every morning with determination if you are going to go to bed with satisfaction”. Therefore, determination enables man to take whatever ability he has in whatever he is doing and utilise it to the maximum. Your determination will make you restless and unsatisfied. Abraham Maslow and other behavioural motivational theorists believe that “man is an insatiable animal” which move to the next need when a need is achieved. Thomas Edison, a great man indeed said, “restlessness is discontent is the first necessity of progress. Show me a satisfied man and I will show you a failure”. And you need to discover yourself This is the process of realising who you really are. In each person there is something of a mystery, something inexhaustible, and something that cannot be easily calculated. What you are is God’s gift to you, what you make of yourself is your gift to God and society. I don’t want you to disappoint God and I don’t want you to disappoint this world, make every bit of the remaining strength in you count for the advancement of humanity. You need not to be confused; you can never give what you never had. You must have been useful to yourself before you can be to others. Process leading to self-discovery: Self Analysis Self Knowledge Self Discovery Self Analysis Self analysis involves critical examination of oneself in an attempt to identify ones Strengths, Weaknesses, opportunities and Threats (SWOT). Internal factors These are controllable situations in a man. While strengths are the factors favouring a person, weaknesses are the inhibitors of the strengths in a person. Strengths The strengths are the potentials, talents, abilities, skills and prowess inherent in a man. Abilities and skills can be identified easily and probably measured; however, potentials and talents are immeasurable because they required instinct, which is not so easy to come by. If none of the great men we know lives up to ten percent of their potentials, then the extent of a man’s potentials will remain unknown. Potentials are what you are capable of doing and being capable is not enough for achievement. Achievement requires the exertion of energy through effort expended. This is to let you know that your potentials are beyond your imagination, so start to look beyond the ordinary. Weaknesses The weaknesses are the constraints to the inherent strengths in a person. Sometimes, people see their financial status as the major obstacle to their destiny; however, money is not everything. There are certain forces that work together for a man’s success. If you have no idea of what you want to be, there will not be any headway and the resources will not just forthcoming. I hope that is understood by you as intended. Self analysis will reveal to you what you need to do and how can go about it to live a purposeful life. I agree with Theodore Roosevelt that, “do what you can with what you have where you are”. Joseph was a penniless prisoner until he used his strength (dream interpretation) over his weakness (slavery). Wes Brown was right that, ”you have no limitation except the one you created yourself”. External factors These are the uncontrollable situations around a man. Opportunities There are certain opportunities in every environment a man finds himself and this is one the reasons the above quotes by Theodore Roosevelt was supported by me. You really need to do what you can with what you have where you are. Opportunities are chances presented by happenstances around a person and they are limitless, except those who created one. Charles Schwab also supported Les Brown position with this, “when a man has put a limit on what he will do, he has put a limit on what he can do”. Someone must be instinctive before he can identify opportunities because as David Oyedepo puts it, “opportunities usually presented themselves in overall and therefore, look like work”. You can liken it to a maxim which says, “nobody wants to die but everyone wants to go to heaven”. Mostly, what requires efforts does not motivate people. Threats As there are opportunities around a person, there are certain factors that inhibit the ease at which someone can utilise the opportunities. Therefore, threats are the constraints to the opportunities. Most of the times, what people termed as constraint if “the fear of failure”. Former United States of America President, Franklin D. Roosevelt described FEAR as “nameless, unreasoning, unjustified terror which paralyses needed efforts to convert retreat into advance: F False E Evidence A Appearing R Real If you can conquer your fear, you will conquer yourself. Edmund Hillary, the first man to get to the zenith of the highest mountain (Mount Everest) in the world put it straight when he said, “it is not the mountain that we conquered but ourselves”. Self knowledge The more someone analyses self the quicker and better he gets in knowing himself. Self knowledge is about ourselves in relationship to human kind, to all creation and ultimately to God. No one can discover himself with inadequate self-knowledge, and living a purposeful life will be unrealistic without self-discovery. Discovering oneself is beyond what a single book could teach, its depth is more than an hour seminar or conference, it is a lifetime exercise. If human potentials are innumerable, definitely, getting to maximise them shall be unending. Do I convey this message to the appropriate mind? The best investment is the one in a human being, invest massively in yourself. People like to live a successful man’s life but they don’t want to do what the successful man did to attain that status. There are always relevant books that can help aid your knowledge and understating about yourself and life. Somebody told me sometimes ago that no matter what a book contains, it can never be irrelevant. I don’t joke with books, even a torn newspaper. Other areas are training and seminar. Then don’t underestimate any teaching, no matter how contrary to your belief or perception and always give deeper meaning to life. What I believe is that there more to life than meet the eyes. somehow interesting, but can't figure it out yet |
God will forgive her and show her the path of righteousness. These children of politicians mostly suffer from spiritual attack, hence the lady's predicaments. Google her life so far, she's a persona non grata in Canada, USA couldn't host her again and many more. God will deliver her in Jesus' Name. Amen! |
Visit First Laurel Hotel and Suites, along Idi Mango Road, off Lagos-Ibadan Expressway, Soka, Ibadan. I've been there and their restaurant service is one of its kind, try and confirm. |
I completed my NYSC programme in Feb. I was offered an unknown job by a consultant but I refused to pay for referral letter to the unknown company. I got a job with 25k monthly attached to 30million naira target, all in March. But in the name of Jesus, I rejected slavery. I established my laundry service biz in March and still prospecting for job. I got an insurance job but was paid no dime since June. NL, am working in a bakery presently, uhm...with kids who are probably wearing pants around when I left secondary sch. But ona ofun, b ona orun o. Am still hoping for my own job. |
I weep for Nigeria. Why are we peeling off the surface of a healing wound? Some of us weren't around during that unfortunate moment and some elders who should've taught us how to forgive are bringing this back to our consciousness. I'm a Nigerian and every tribe in it is my tribe, an injustice to one is an injustice to all. Let that man, Gideon buries his head for shame. Some people can sell their mother for money and cheap publicity. We, the young generation say 'no to national bitterness and ethnicism'. Follow me on twitter:#damigreat or #iiconsults and let's talk about how we shall attain our goals in life. |
“It’s an embarrassment to his throng of admirers and followers, that a sage of Prof. Soyinka’s status, who used to be a gauge of public morality in this nation, would lend himself to a propaganda of high drive, to save a governor who elected to launch into a river without applicable survival skills.” Obviously, some people want to lead Jonathan's family to golgotha. When does it become a crime for a citizen to air his view on a burning issue bothering his nation? If Patience could talk to a revered citizen like that, it goes a long way to show her upbringing disability. This woman has become an irredeemable disgrace to our nation. She's only the first unpolished First lady of FRN. She lacks gait and composure to cope with the nature's benevolence on her. I see North smiling by now, thanks to these crooks from the creeks. |
LOUDmedia: Tinubu's recent excesses don't appeal to me. I think he's taking it too farHow many of u are from Ekiti State? Do u know the political situation in Ekiti? Do u change a winning team for the fun of it? We were all alive prior to 2007 election and living witnesses to how Engr. Segun Oni emerged as PDP candidate. He was not even in 3rd position during primary election, yet, he was imposed on Ekiti and the rest is history. In the last Presidential election in USA, how many people contested with Obama during primary election? MOB is surrounded by symchopants who are after his money. He should understand political equation better than his recent journey to political oblivion(he served as commissioner under Tinubu in Lagos State). Let him ask Bode Olajumoke, Olowoporoku, Segun Oni, e.t.c. How will Michael Opeyemi Bamidele convince Ekiti electorates of better governance than the one giving them by Fayemi. Some people simply like to play on our intelligence, but believe me, we're not just academically inclined, we're also intelligently developed. If God wish, he'll still govern the state, but for now, let him not be a stooge to the enemies of progress in Ekiti State. I hope Nigerian politicians will stop their politician ambition from beclouding their sense of judgement. Let MOB be objective. God bless. 'Ile uyi, Ile eye'. |
That's reckless talk by an arrogant boy. Do u want to tell me all of us who bought ur cds are not hard working? Don't take destiny for granted. It's all about opportunities, ask the Remedies, Azadus, Evander Hollyfield, Mike Tyson, e.t.c. |
blink182: if this is true then I don't support this project. There are better things to be done but honestly I feel this story is an hyperbole. |
I'll respond to a rant by an old fool bastard like Ali must go. |
It's two sides of a coin. The good there is that it prevent further corruption by the so called govt agency which will handle it. The ugly aspect is that the unemployed graduates are told that 'in vain their sleep night &candle burnt'. Those less than primary 6 cert holders would never understand. |
Obviously, this lady is strong. I wish u d best. |
i am dancing palongo, so special a dance |
