alfablondy:. what do you say to the other pictures? the police man on Inec duty etc. Besides, if you as a Police Boss (mistakenly or otherwise) employs somebody you didn't Vet properly and still allows that person to drink on duty, an offence that should attract a memo or querry depending on the persons level. Won't you check your systeem?!!! |
i really believe the problem starts from the management, the standard duty shift is 8hours, but it's not the same for Nigeria's security system. you can imagine a police man working for 24hrs or atimes 12hrs, he's bound to get tired, he's human not a robot. Their's a lot of problem with the management of the police force |
If Tambowal says he's cutting the allowances, just believe he's cutting it but the drama that Nigerians should expect now is that of inflated contract prices etc cos that's where they will recover their presumed losses. Their oversight functions won't be as effective as before, expect bribery and corruption of the highest order. I pray i'm wrong though cos i love my country |
Relief! |
Nairalanders, pls let's be realistic, i hate with a passion what this 'Democracy' is doing to us, but 3m-5m for Accommodation in Abuja is chicken change, it won't take more than a two bedroom flat in maitama. Let's try to be positive, these guys are just starting, let's give them a chance. Besides, we criticize the national assembly because we have easy access to their activities (the dailies), is it the same thing for the executive? Really waiting for how we'll make maximum use of this FOI bill! |
We can't control most of the things that happens to us in life but we can sure control our responses to them. A lady from a broken home probably couldn't help her situation then but she sure can handle how she reacts to it and how much of it she'll take to her marriage. In essence, it solely depends on the lady and partly on the husband to make things work. Besides, it doesn't really matter which background a babe comes from, it takes two to tangle, a lot lies with the man too. |
The Bible makes it clear that we wrestle not against flesh and blood. 2 Corin 10:3-5 tells us exactly where the enemies attack it says ;for though we walk in the flesh we do not walk after the flesh, for the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds, "CASTING DOWN IMAGINATIONS' and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity 'EVERY THOUGHT' to the obedience of christ. I'll encourage you to read your Bible more, not just for reading sake but for revelation sake, always pray for the spirit of God to interpret every word to you. i can boldly tell you it works, like magic! don't listen to witchcraft stories, read more of motivational books. in conclusion, emphasize on things that will build your mind positively towards God. for the advice you're seeking, don't go! |
tired of all these Stats, waiting for when we'll start feeling the impact. when their'll be steady electricity, Jobs for Grads, good roads all over, security etc |
Marrying a genuine man of God would be the very best gift any sensible lady would get. all you need to do is to get involved in his life. you can even take turns in seeing the visitors, church management etc. just see it as service to humanity. I've met good Pastors, i have some of them as my friends and i can tell you in confidence that they are not boring. they could be very funny and entertaining. Don't resent them, just look out for the right ones. |
Nairaland! |
I completely support Bioye! I don't expect someone in his right senses to buy this shit. EFCC made a whole lot of noise about 10billion, 2.3billion car scandal, 9billion capital project etc only to charge Bankole with these useless sixteen count charges! What's Bankole's business with going to the market to buy t.vs and computers, is that not suppose to be the work of House services?! Nobody, I repeat, nobody asks any questions when the Federal Govt is borrowing billions of dollars for only God knows what. I advice Nigerians, intelligent Nigerians to think issues like this through before jumping to conclusions. |
God is a mystery that science cannot demysitfy Completely agree with you, besides, like someone rightly said, Charles Darwin started this whole 'No God' nonsense, has his theories proved anything yet?! How can someone compare me with a monkey or reptile when it's obvious we're completely different. The physicist also said for the world to creat itself the law of gravity has to be in place, waiting for his explanation on what/who made gravity and it's laws. It's my humble prayer that the physicist and many in his line of thought will come to acknowledge that there's God and experience his awesome love and knowledge. Amen |
He asked for knowlegde God was pleased and he gave it to him in abundance. You'll naturally expect a man of Knowledge/wisdom to end well not in the case of Solomon who ended the way he did- lotsa wives, lamentations etc. Besides, I'm not asking to critisize, I'm asking cos I want to know, do u have some insight to what happened in the garden of Eden? |
And the case of solomon?! |
@Jenwitemi, so in essence u're saying that in the eyes of God, it's evil for me to acquire knowledge cos he won't be able to control me easilly?! |
Coughs, I'm very grateful to God for the kind of heart he's given me, one that yearns for him. I'm a product of his grace and a living wonder by his words! I crave and will do anything for Godly knowledge, I desire to know more abt him. It occured to me yesterday that the fruit Adam ate that cause the fall, was the fruit of Knowledge of good and Evil, he ate a fruit that gave him the ability to discern btw good and evil and our father cast him out. Solomon, the wisest man the World's ever know, according to the scriptures, had the greatest measure of Wisdom and Knowledge, what can u say of his end, what can we say then, Is Godly knowledge evil? |
The truth be told, u need to look at what's kept u unmarried till now. U can't just tell us u've not met Mr Right, u'r over 30 dear. Treat ur short comings and try again. A store that sells husbands has just opened in New York City, where a woman may go to choose a husband. Among the instructions at the entrance is a description of how the store operates:You may visit the store ONLY ONCE !There are six floors and the attributes of the men increase as the shopper ascends the flights. There is, however, a catch. You may choose any man from a particular floor, or you may choose to go up a floor, but you cannot go back down except to exit the building! So, a woman goes to the Husband Store to find a husband. On the first floor the sign on the door reads:Floor 1 - These men have jobs and love the Lord. The second floor sign reads:Floor 2 - These men have jobs, love the Lord, and love kids. The third floor sign reads:Floor 3 - These men have jobs, love the Lord, love kids, and are extremely good looking.'Wow,' she thinks, but feels compelled to keep going. She goes to the fourth floor and sign reads:Floor 4 - These men have jobs, love the Lord, love kids, are drop-dead good looking and help with the housework.'Oh, mercy me!' she exclaims, 'I can hardly stand it!' Still, she goes to the fifth floor and sign reads:Floor 5 - These men have jobs, love the Lord, love kids, are drop-dead gorgeous, help with the housework, and have a strong romantic streak. She is so tempted to stay, but she goes to the sixth floor and the sign reads:Floor 6 - You are visitor 4,363,012 to this floor. There are no men on this floor. This floor exists solely as proof that women are impossible to please. Thank you for shopping at the Husband Store. Watch your step as you exit the building, and have a nice day! Please send this to all men for a good laugh and to all the women who can handle the truth! Have a blessed week ahead |
There was only one blast yesterday. That of Dunamis was a big rumour, had no reason to doubt it cos I heard from even my Pastor. |
The blast at Dunamis International Christian Center, along Jikwoyi road (not airport road) is true. Churches are scanty. God'll save us. |
As annoying and irritating as this story is I must add that some nigerians are funny. I don't like the police for anything but I witnessed an incidence that shocked me, didn't really know what led to the argument, but a guy was arguing, with his hands up in a fist ready to fight a mobile police man carrying a rifle! What do you call that?! |
@OP May you have peace n fulfilment in ur marriage IJN. U made a statement in ur post that didn't quite go down well wit me, somethin like not wanting to live him now. You're in it my dear, no going back, it's til death do u part, have dat consciousness. In addition to some of the good advice u'v gotten from this forum, I'll advice u invite a friend over, if there's anybody close to him, married and that has a good home, invite them over for lunch or dinner, let him see them under ur roof, don't make any unnecessary comments or gestures, just play the humble and good wife, hang around successful families. You'll be surprised at the good effect this will have in ur home. |
Oh God of creation, direct our Noble cause, guide our leaders right, help our youth the truth to know, |
To know and understand the love of Christ which passes all understanding |
My brother, don't view/see things from the surface, the house did give an ultimatum concerning the crises in Ogun house, that you've not seen Dimeji and Daniel fight physically or exchange words doesn't mean the house is not taking it's ultimatum seriously. Can't say more than that |
@Gbawe, would you rather be a Gov and have dominion over a state or be the speaker and influence 36 states. Dimeji doesn't need to be Gov to deal with Gbenga, go ask Gbenga what he's going thru in Dimeji's hands. |
Ogun State would be lucky to have Dimeji has Governor, but nah, don't think Dimeji's interested in that seat, he's got his eyes on a bigger seat. |
A very pathetic story. May their souls rest in peace |
Yes my wife knows all my accounts, facebook, yahoo, fb etc. Atleast, we're one. |
Uju and her single ladies crew don reach here again?! Abeg no mind them @OP, you've done wrong in allowing this linger for long and how u handled ur wife's supposed infedility wasn't good enough. You must understand tht legally and biblically, u have good grounds to divorce ur wife if u can prove what u said here, but u can't remarry except, God forbid, she dies (it's a life time business). Now, no matter what we say on this thread, the decision's still urs, it appears u love ur wife, and u don't want a divorce, so, go to their village, meet the person(s) u paid her Bride price to, call a family meeting, explain what u're going thru to them, and most of all, you really need to pray! The bond between ur MIL and Wify don get cane leg, no sane mother will stand behind a cheating daughter. Relax and strike, it's solely ur call. |
ping pong: @op - I dont understand the language you wrote there but I hope you were not hard on CC and Uju. We learn everyday. Its good it turned out well for you. Wish your wife safe delivery. I wasn't hard on them. Really want to thank the guys that contributed on this thread, was expecting bashings and insults as expected of Nairalanders, got some though, but they were fair enough, all the arguments here have been creative. Cc was very right when she said what works for A might not work for B and that was the msg behind my 'nko tio ye yi poju nto yeyi lo'. @Uju, tell us honestly what goes thru ur mind when u'r in a car with ur Bf and one hot blonde crosses the road and u behold ur bf gazing longingly at the blonde as she crosses? U really need to understand how men are wired, a lady is a lady, be it a mech, maid, secretary etc. No matter the satisfaction we get from our wives, parners, we're bound to 'look out' and the way u guy's dress makes matters worse! David, a man after God's heart, Married, Saw a babe bathing, the image hunted him till he did 'it'. It's grace my dear, not discipline! |
@CC n all single ladies in her line of thought, 'nkan ti o ye yi poju eyi to ye yi lo'. Like someone said on this thread, we'll wait til u guys get married, u'll know then that Marriage is not big grammar, it's not just all words. Been monitoring the thread and I'd like to tell u all that we've reached a compromise. My wife's reason for earlier insisting I took the maid was not because of her distrust n not just because of my straight 'No'answer, her mum satified the maid, her aunt also told my wife that the maid was the best they could get, saying she's (the aunt)known the maid from childhood. My wife's challenge was going back to her parents without a cogent reason for the maid's rejection. The mum called me on the matter and I still told her the same thing I told my wife (that I don't want the maid). I personally don't know her family's interest, I do know they want our good sha, that's why I've told them to keep searching. For the record, my wife's not lazy, she's 34weeks preg, you know how it is with preg women. |
Coughs, I'm not tryin to defend myself or anything, we all have our pasts and our short comings. Just like I said earlier, my work, church, etc atmosphere is different from my house's. The maid will be staying with us! She get's to open d gate for me to drive in, take my briefcase from me etc when my wife's not around. It's different at work, it's different at recreational centers. My eyes could honestly wander for a while (don't criticize me for being honest) but the memory soon fades away. The mind is very dangerous thing, it plays a lot of tricks. |
Have a blessed week ahead
