who born them!!!!!! |
Instead of facing these issues squarely, the president is busy planning the setting up of twelve (12) new ministries! God help Nigeria |
@Poster and Image 123, enjoyed ur posts. |
Joagbaje:I wonder!!!!! Pst Chris is in order |
Abuloma80:They opted for politics, why should they run from the ills that come with it. What they've done amounts to cowardice and nothing more!!!!! Besides, the group (Boko Haram) as it is, is impenetrable i.e an agent can't go undercover to get information, they'll kill the agent like chicken, what our security outfits need is to look for a weakling among them, they need to buy one or more them. |
@Poster, did you at anytime speak with him personally about this? |
A,B and F |
if Shell had indeed entered an agreement with them, it's only honorable for them to fulfill that agreement, that's not say that what they're asking for is justifiable! |
sexkillz:listen to this |
My Pastor was talking to a youth group one Sunday like that, she said she was very disappointed in how they turn out, how they live their lives and generally condemning the degradation of our moral values and Biblical values. She was frank enough to tell the church that her children weren't left out. When it was time to for me to sing, i made sure i aired my views without hesitation, I said 'To be frank, i'm disappointed in our parents, our grand parents made them a success and they have failed us by not making us one too. Success without succession is nothing, if there's nobody to carry on your legacies as a Father, Mother, then you're a failure'. The real problem with our children these days are us! |
jampro123:i beg to differ on this line of thought. Nigeria's real problem's her policies. It doesn't give room for the local markets, gives our big bellied politicians room to squander all our wealth etc. Besides you mentioned Kalu Idika Kalu, i read how he impacted Imo, on Nigeriaworld, using the policies he had successfully used in Asia, It was General Ike Nwachukwu who brought Kalu Idika Kalu to limelight having appointed him the finance commissioner of Imo state in 1984. It was while serving Imo State that he introduced the concept called Imo Formula. The Imo formula was an unusual economic solution to unusual economic problems. Prior to his appointment as the state commissioner for finance, Imo state civil servants especially, teachers were owed salary arrears running into several months. While the arrears for the civil servants proper were somewhere at between one month to three months, those of the teachers were at almost eight months. Kalu Idika Kalu's solution to this problem was simple. Freeze all civil servants' allowances such as leave, car, housing and other bonuses. Use money so frozen to pay teachers their basic salaries while the state intensified efforts to shore up its finance base so that in time Imo civil servants' and teachers' salaries will begin to be paid as at when due. If at the end of the month, every worker had money to take home, moral would be boosted, productivity will rise and the trickle down would overwhelm and check the burgeoning impact of poverty. In addition, every week, he addressed a press conference explaining to the people his new economic initiative designed to help the state achieve economic and social prosperity. What most of us did not know about Kalu, was that he was mimicking an economic policy which he and other egg headed technocrats had just planned perfected and implemented in East Asia and the Pacific Region under the auspices of the World Bank. We need good Policy makers, Ngozi is one of such! |
The problem with Nigeria security or the President is not just a lack of decision, it's lack of consistency in following a line of action. |
I don't talk more than necessary. You don't appear to be a lazy reader to me, pick up your books and do ur research, don't argue and insult like most dumb nairalanders. We tell whoever cares to listen that we are practicing democracy, which obviously is not a new system, lots of countries practice it and the acclaimed super power's the US, if they with their professionals, better exposed persons, recycle senators for decades, reappoint professionals in certain fields, i don't see any reason why we shouldn't do the same. And when i said i partly agree with you earlier on appointment of fresh brains, i didn't just say it, every leader has his own style, what works for A might not work for B. And most importantly, you don't perform experiments with a nation's finance and national security! |
ndu_chucks:LMWK |
ZnO:right on point |
Why is he just talking now, why is it when El rufai was arrested? May God expose and destroy all the strongholds! |
Kobojunkie:I agree with you, but not in a field like this. |
Kobojunkie:i'd rather look at service delivery first. |
Nigerian President Goodluck Jonathan has asked the Senate to approve World Bank managing director Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala as a member of his new cabinet, the president of the upper house of parliament said on Tuesday.http://af.reuters.com/article/nigeriaNews/idAFLDE7641E820110705 Sure she'll live above boards! |
interesting |
Quote from: haka_nai on July 01, 2011, 11:58 PM Presently i am working in Abuja, you don't really need that to infiltrate all our key Government establishment.I can tell you such strict government establishments are few. Most of them are so porous you could make strong face go in and out with no one saying excuse me! BOKO HARAM is simply exploring those loop holes.Since they see them as targets of interest.Meaning they would explore such if they simply notice it like how you and i would but choose to ignore it. this is not completely true chief. Try it and see where you'll land. I don't trust Nigerian Press, i'm 80% sure this is not true. until i hear from the authorities |
This should be in the dailies! |
heard Akume resigned yesterday and that the post has finally been given to Chris Ngige. (Source: a friend) |
dunno what the world's turned into!!!!!! |
