etrange: With these long epistles, you are turning this into a debate. Like I said, the society is ridden with different shades of inequalities. There are unequal treatment of all genders. Virtually everything you reeled out here quite literally have their fare share of cons for both genders In this same Africa, boys are expected to be the ones to face the toughest and harshest chores. In schools, boys are subjected to the harshest forms of punishments whilst girls are protected. Boys/men are expected to be the ones who cater for the family financially and materially; he is a failure if he is unable to do that. Whereas, it's fine if the woman can be jobless and does nothing but harvest from the man's hard work. Isn't this why the female folks today can comfortably sham a man for not being rich while they themselves are penniless. It's a societal tilt. This is obvious. It's not an advantage of any specific gender.
Man's idea of showing superiority is to help the female folks subvert justice? This isn't plausible! Well, prisons are a microcosm of the society. Criminals are literally humans like you too. It's discriminatory and demeaning of them to say people in correctional facilities don't represent the female gender. These prisons posit a vivid picture of our society. The female folks are naturally treated more tenderly. It's just a societal fact! It seems like a systemic discrimination against the male gender. This is what we have everywhere. Isn't this the philosophy behind the "never hit a woman" rule. When a woman hits a man in public, it feels normal. No one really cares. But when a man hits a woman, he is an jerk. Even fellow men would charge at him. When war breaks out, even the weakest of men are compelled to take up arms. Women, on the other hand, are protected. The strongest of women have a choice. Lady, these things are obvious. No need to be infantile with some victim mentality. The society is fraught with fare shares of inequalities on both genders.
Actually, men at the recieving end of Western laws (particularly USA and the UK). For instance, their court precedents regarding divorce require that both parties equally share of the family's fortunes and properties. Hence, men who have laboured to build a fortune suddenly have to forfeit a reasonable portion of their wealth to a "divorce" mostly initiated by the women in the marriage. Severally, men have been at the recieving end of the harshness of the law. Read up the story of the Ivorian football, Emmanuel Ebuoe who lost his wealth and career to a divorce... Society has a fair share of inequalities for both genders. It's rather infantile to pick a side and build victimhood on it. We can be more humanistic and holistic. Bracket your existential biases and see things for what they are! |

etrange: This is a parochial view. It's good for us to be temperate with our arguments as much as possible. We've seen female murderers and criminals pampered and crowned beauty queens while their male counterparts are tortured. This is obvious and it is not "a pat on the back." The European societies are, for instance, structured to favour the women. Their laws are tilted to pamper women. In summary, there are inequalities in the society. Some aspects of it tilt to favour the female gender, while some favour the male. It's rather parochial and fallacious to pick a gender. |
Celebrities / Re: Kanye West: I Am Addicted To Porn And It Destroyed My Family by damosky12(m): 12:55pm On Sep 02, 2022 |
etrange: You are being unfair now. If any gender gets a soft landing, it's women. The society naturally are milder towards women. Have you seen how female rapists and criminals are treated compared to male counterparts? Please don't divert the thread. |

Owopariola001: This personification or which? personification Don't fall my hand, trying to defend the indefensible. It's stark ridiculous. A personification would have been "the Bible taught us of our tongues." Not that "we INHERITED tongues from the Bible." The Bible (the book) is inactive as regards our tongues. If anything, we only read and learn from it. We don't inherit from it. That's rather sloppy. It's apparently so. 1 Like |

Owopariola001: You came out intelligent. But, pause a second, let's engage. Did we INHERIT speaking in languages from the Bible? Or the Bible only documented how different languages emerged? Don't you see no fault at all with the use of language, the coherence and fluidity of that communication? Was that totally sound, to you? |

tonyuny12: The case here is that it is regular citizens like you that are "campaigning" with their own resources... They aren't politicians. They have no stake in Obi's government (if he wins). They are just doing their best to ensure the ideal candidate comes in. |

BeardGangJnr1: If you create something to look like you, there's no how that thing can be you in stature, nature, and ability. It's only "in your image." Not your person. Space, time, and matter isn't all there is to existence. The black hole, for instance, is beginning to refute traditional ideas on space time and matter. Time slows down (or even reverses) around it. Matter on it's surface suddenly gets consumed by nothingness. |
Religion / Re: Between Clergyman Mike Bamiloye And A Facebook User Asking About Heaven by damosky12(m): 9:31am On Aug 29, 2022 |
BeardGangJnr1: Lol. Your human brain is too limited to comprehend God. God exists outside time, space, and matter. Man is the one that exists in time, space, and matter as we know it. God doesn't need to stay somewhere to exist. Existence itself stays in God. God is not man. You can attribute to Him the features and limitations of man. 1 Like |

Natbrowny: Lol. New guys? The story of creation has been believed for thousands of years. Atheists and enemies of faith have existed from the times of the presocratics. Your unbelief doesn't make you a new guy man. The number of young people who believe and are given to Spiritual things obviously are more than those who don't. It will remain that way till the end of the world. Faith in God would grow as it always has. Heaven is real. The spiritual is real. Supernatural powers are real! Mufakirnaqdiun: Even your punctuations and expressions are barely coherent. How can I engage you in an elenchus? But I'll leave you with this: any student of logic would not arrive at any conclusion extemporaneously. That you are unable to prove the existence of the sun rays, galaxies, parallel universes, black holes, etc. to the non-scientific mind wouldn't rob these things off their existence. Similarly, heaven is a spiritual reality. A mind that despises anything spiritual is untrained to see it. 1 Like |

Mufakirnaqdiun: You probably didn't do well in logic. The fact that you can't prove that you cannot concretely prove to me now that sun rays exist means that they don't. In knowledge acquisition, you don't conclude until you've ascertained it is (not). That's what's smart! |

Michelle70: Stop this nonsense! Stop trying to get unnecessarily tribal with this. Millions of Yorubas were for Jonathan and voted for him. It wasn't necessarily an Igbo thing. The support for Obi particularly spans across all tribes in Nigeria. Everyone who has been angry with the nefarious things the current government did are out to usher in a new order. That explains the currently high support Obi has. Don't tribalise these things 3 Likes 1 Share |
