If you are Christian, think about this: will Jesus Christ, who we are suppose to model our lives after, get offended our such mere statement?. If your answer is yes, then nothing makes you a Christian. You are an extremist.

I doubt you are a student of politics at all. Seems like this is you are naive in political discusses.

This isn't a theological discuss. It isn't about me. It isn't about you. It isn't about what you think Jesus Christ would do or not do...

It is about the statement itself. How it would come off the bulk of the Christian community.

"Poisoned holy communion" is an incendiary allusion. It's not an graceful statement from anyone contesting for an election in a country where almost half are Christians.

I hope you can be intelligently sound enough to grasp the nitty gritty here.

It's so so apparent!

The only reason why most of you are attacking Tinubu over this statement is because of politics. Instead of you to remove the log from your own eye, you are minding someone else.

You obviously are not a good student of logic.

You can't assume I am speaking politically and build your argument on it. That's an evident fallacy!

It's not about me or what you think my perspectives are. It's about the issue.

The statement is not wholesome. It's an allusion, but an insensitive one at that!

It's also a figure of speech.

If you said he was forced to eat his poison. No reasonable brain take such literally except he's a Dullard. Sink that into your skull.

Your Atiku couldn't even say anything on climate change. The Olodo

You can't string words together, but you can comfortable throw words like "dullard," "olodo" around. The joke is on you man!

Please, what figure of speech is "poisoned Holy Communion?"

How do you use an adjective such as "poisoned" for an Holy Sacrament like the Holy Communion? How does that sound okay?

It’s not offensive. If you find it offensive then you shouldn’t blame people of other religions who reacts to petty issues like this, only extremists does.

You are making this thing a religious issue just to score cheap points for Obi and I see no different between this and Atiku saying Northerners should vote for him because he’s from the North.

Must y'all see things from the lens of politics?

Can't we all just be reasonable and agree outside politics? If Tinubu is wrong with that statement, does that stop him from having supporters still?

The expression is not right. You can't force your bias on that of any Christian who finds the expression disgusting. You can't. It's unreasonable!

"Poisonous holy communion" doesn't sound any right at all! Just bracket this political bias for one second and think about it... Haba

No, they won’t cringe. Christians are not known to be reactionaries, if I can use that word. Any Christian that finds that statement offensive is an extremist.

It is extreme to throw words like "extremist" about.

Most Christians won't react. Jesus Christ advocated turning the other cheek. I speak as one.

But does that make the statement any less blasphemous. An adjective like "poisonous" for an holy sacrament such as "holy communion" is not good imagery.

If you would be sincere, this is plain obvious.

What if it was used in a poetry you would have criticized that too
U know nothing about poetic appreciation

Ad hominem is unnecessary. No one has a monopoly of insults.

Anyone with true education and good home training would make logical points without throwing infantile tantrums.

Politics is not poem. You don't need a degree to know that it's a sensitive game. Any smart politician knows that you can't make any incendiary statement like "poisoned holy communion."

Lastly, last time I checked, the speech wasn't a poetry presentation or audition. It was a political interview.

Tinubu is too wise for some of the people critizing him when he makes statements because they've been wired to speak ill of him .

Any brilliant communicator or listener knows that the expression "poisoned holy communion" is redundant and absurd! This is besides the fact that it's blasphemous. Say poisoned food. Poisoned cake. Not "holy communion" man!

How do you use poisoned for something they call "holy communion?" You don't think a staunch Christian would cringe at such.

If you'd shelve your bias a second, Tinubu's expressions are usually riddled with hitches. Even a ten year old can tell.

Peter obi has perfected the strategy of how to get sympathy from average joes if you are wealthy.

1. Carry your bag by yourself.
2. Fly economy class
3. Always discuss with the average joe
4. Wear the same type of clothes and shoes
5. Sit among the average joes even if you given a high table
6. Always take pictures with them.

Results = the average joe will think you are humble and a good person.

Pretence or not, what he is doing is the ideal thing.

We shouldn't care whether or not he is pretending. That's flimsy.

We should engage him on his plausibility.

If you can feed with $15(#10,00]) for 4 to 5 days in Nigeria, why do people with well paying jobs still want to go abroad. Food is cheap, rent is even cheaper. I repeat people with well paying jobs before you start quoting me. A room in a major US city is like $800 to $1500 a month, plate of Nigerian food is like $22.

You are spot on. But too many Nigerians are unexposed in their minds. They worship these places.

From my experience, I can confidently say it's easier to save-up millions in Nigeria than in US and most parts of Europe.

With a good business in Nigeria, you stand a better chance being able to purchase properties there than you would if you lived there.

My monthly budget for food is 12k. I always buy foodstuffs in bulk, so the 12k is just basically for meat, vegetables and other small expenses.
I cook every food that I eat and I haven't eaten outside in over five years. I stay alone sha.

That means you will be spending around 30k in total per month (if we're to estimate the food stuffs you use). Considering 12k is for near, vegetables, and others.

Literally, you're the one being blinded by religious sentiments. What the heck is the obsession with having another woman (not from your country or religion) to wear scarf? That was a global stage interview man! Not some local press in Iran.

Did you follow up the story? Read on the dastardly crimes the Iranian government committed against women who refused to wear scarf. How does not wearing scaff warrant execution? Now the same man would snub a foreign press official for not wearing scaff...

If you aren't blinded by Islam, it's obvious that the Iranian President is unreasonable!

Just another plot to put the iranian in a bad light to the world. But the Iranian president is no coward like the africa leaders that licks the feet of the europeans.

Amanpour knows the iranian president so well, he know he will never accept to that, so why shedule an interview with him when you know you can't dress according to the president religious doctrine.

It is definitely planned either for clout-chasing, cheap attention seeking, or portraying the already battered image of the iranian president or iranians in general in the face of the world.

Thank God, Jesus wasnt around this time. This present day propaganda set of medias would have make us believe he is bad just because he wont do to their bidding.

Lol. Don't bring Jesus into this... Don't patronise Christians.

Jesus and his servants aren't religious bigots. Those Jesus mostly had issues with were people who were dogmatically religious.

First, the Iranian President is on US soil. You can't force someone to dress as you'd like in their own country.

But this just tells you about Islam. It's always been about force. It spread through force. It is synonymous with extreme force and violence.

Virtually everywhere there's Islam, there's violence. Use Nigeria as a microcosm of this argument...

This is purely business. Church should stop building worship centers and go into industry. Almost everything the church uses are imported. Today, RCCG has a power plant, while not wait for the FG. Churches do have hospitals with qualified doctors. Churches now have cable networks, microfinance banks, etc. What stops the churches from going into industrialization? Produce what you use and in turn help the country economically

Well, God did not send the church to go do these things. A church will only do what they consider convenient and helps further their cause.

Churches of Christ running the enterprises you listed are evidently doing it to further their course. Cable networks, for instance, help them reach more people with God's word. Banks help them keep control of their liquidity.

They aren't the government. They don't exist to better the economy. They do things that further their course of preaching and winning people to Christ.

Just my point. Churches should stop building more branches. Church should go into full industrialization. Just imagine how much forex go into the importation of microphones, drum set and speakers by Churches. These are just mere coils

You have to understand that building schools and providing welfare amenities is just the church being charitable. It is NEVER the core purpose of the church. It's already stressful enough.

Now, you are tasking the church to start manufacturing. Soon enough, you may begin to expect them to start sponsoring the economy and building federal infrastructure.
