Good morning to everyone, pls I need More clarifications on my sister and her family skilled worker Visa application,

She already got Her COS and intends to travel with her hubby and the kid's same day becos maintainance was ticked by her sponsor, she's about applying for their Visa's,

The major question is regarding her children's birth certificate, she has all of her children's birth certificate from The hospital with accurate date of birth and the accurate date when the certificate was issued that same month becos she always collect her children's birth certificate latest two week's after delivery,

When she wanted to do her children's passport around November 2022, The Nigerian immigration services Said that NIN is now compulsory and the children's birth certificate is needed from NPC and not from the hospital they were delivered, they have to go and get The kid's birth certificate from NPC but the Major challenge is this, the NPC office wrote their dates and year of birth correctly but wrote date of issuance same Day they went there instead of the date of issuance in their original birth certificate from the hospital they were Born,

Right now,we heared that UK embassy only accepts birth certificate from NPC, that's national population commission, my question now is this,

1. I Hope the date of issuance Which bore year 2022 from NPC will not complicate things for Her and her family becos they have approached NPC office and they Said they can't back-date the date of issuance to the Year The kid's were Born, some of the kid's were Born in 2010, 2012, etc,

2. Pls can she attach her children's birth certificate from The hospital they were born with the One from NPC since the date of issuance from NPC is only showing year 2022 for all her kids but remember, everything about their date and Year of birth is correct both from the hospital and NPC, the only issue is date of issuance,

Finally pls those that has travelled with their kid's can Also shade More light on This,

There’s no issue with UKVI because the date that CoS was issued can be seen and everyone knows that unforeseen logistical problems can crop up. There’s, however, a 28-day rule that must be borne in mind…see excerpts below…

“ When do I actually have to start working (the 28 day rule)? Once you have been granted entry clearance/permission to stay you must start working within 28 days of whichever is latest: The start day on your CoS (the Home Office will take account of any changes reported by your employer using a sponsor note..)”

“ A Skilled Worker start date cannot be delayed more than 4 weeks
If a Skilled Worker visa holder arrives more than 4 weeks late, their sponsorship would have to be withdrawn which would result in their Skilled Worker visa being cancelled. The 4 weeks are counted from either the Skilled Worker CoS start date or the date the Skilled Worker visa is issued, whichever is later.

If there are any concerns about meeting a Skilled Worker start date, please contact the sponsor...”

Ecctis is better and faster to get result within 3-7 days, but Ielts? hmmmmm... it takes like forever. IELTS online result will be released 14-16 days from date of examination and before you receive the hard copy ko, Thats another 10days.. A friend sat for the exam on the 3rd December... till today Hard copy isint here... Thats My candid advise...

All in order…CV is even an overkill…not necessary

I just noticed that my passport is missing my middle name and I am the PA, my IELTS result doesn't have my middle name because of this also. But my application for care assistant has my middle name on the submitted CV awaiting COS very soon. I've called immigration and it costs 150,000 to do name inclusion and it will take 4 months for the corrected passport to be out. Will there be any consequence of I go ahead without my middle name?

I have a family relative who has gotten her COS under care worker Visa with maintainance ticked YES by her sponsor,

She's the Major applicant while her hubby and kid's are following as dependants,they all want to travel same day if visa is approved,,

Her Major concern is that she and her hubby and their last Baby of one Year old then was denied US visit visa in 2016 and again in 2019, she and her hubby was denied a french tourist Visa,

Pls house, I hope This two denial's from U.S and France will not pose a Major challenge For them This Time around

Funny how they made the resumption date so close. Standard visa application itself takes 3 weeks (all things being equal). I think he should start the application process and intimate the sponsor on progress by end of next week…

Nobody can confirm anything. The date you quoted is what everyone is working with since the initial 12 months period will lapse on February 14, 2023,

No update from the Home Office as we speak. There are insinuations that there might be an extension since the Care industry is still understaffed…but nothing yet from the government. So let’s still assume an end date of February 2023…#assume

Try to give little information to help our opinion…what date is on your vignette as entry date? What’s your employment start date as per CoS?

In any case, the employer is only concerned about your start date…so make your calculations with that. I’ll advise you carry your sponsor along. Better to borrow money, buy ticket and repay later than to miss this opportunity that people wish to pay millions for.

The “valid from” date on your entry clearance vignette (that’s the sticker in your passport which is your visa);
If you entered the UK without entry clearance through the Creative Worker concession, the date you were granted permission to enter;
The date you were informed of the grant of your entry clearance or permission to stay.

Visa was approved in last week in December. Start date on COS is first week in January but flight ticket is booked for third week in January after approval from Sponsor.

Is there any implication as to which of the dates is valid for entry within 28 days rule?

TB test is usually not asked for at the point of entry, but hey, it’s a function of the Border officer that attends to you. There’s no rule of thumb. Fingers crossed, it may not be asked for…but it’s a risk…

Calm down. They went on break for about 10 days over the holiday and that slowed though activities. You should get an update latest one week from today
