Did the sponsor indicate the expiry date of the CoS? Some says one month, Others indicate 3 months…check the validity of your CoS? I think you should hurry and apply for your visa…we aren’t sure of the future of the Care Assistant visa beyond this month…fingers crossed

You were spot on with the death certificate you submitted. However, I’ll like to see if the ECO won’t request for a justification of the care and maintenance in place for the kids. I pray he is satisfied with the notification by the sponsor that maintenance will be handled by them…

There was no need to submit your first degree except you attached the ECCTIS certification alongside it. Did you take the IELTS exam?

Thank you so much for your response, I submitted their Father's death certificate and even the cause of death I got from the hospital with the application already, I am just confused when someone said they asked to justify the care and maintenance available for the children even when the sponsor ticked maintenance for them, cos I didn't include any POF for them with our application...and also pertaining the academic credentials, i submitted just my B.sc certificate....hope that's still fine?

As @Solphamo rightly said, being a widow isn’t an issue but get your late husband’s death certificate handy if you didn’t submit it earlier.
Your Microbiology degree is of no significance to the Visa officer…as long as your sponsor has certified you capable for the role. I hope you didn’t submit any academic credentials sha…because it usually creates unnecessary and avoidable drama.

Please, I want to ask....I hope been a widow with 3kids doesn't stop the issuance of my kid's visa as I have applied for them with maintenance ticked by my sponsor (for both MA and my dependants), all necessary docs(their tb tests, recommendation letters from their school, consent letter from me, birth certificate from local govt, family pics) were submitted and biometrics done last week Friday for both MA and dependants.... also pls, what's the chance of getting my visa too, I am a Microbiologist and was given a senior carer job...Pls I just wanna know and have your own opinion abt that...May we all receive goodnews soonest IJN. priority means you get your visa decision within 5 working days...super priority means in 24 hours..

Are you sure this application is for you or your sister? Because you seem to be crying more than the bereaved. Different people gave you advice that those documents are irrelevant and shouldn’t be submitted yet your sister disregarded good counsel. Now you have to pray that the ECO ignores those irrelevant documents and focuses on the required ones. Only prayer at this stage will work…

Hi all,
Just wanted to give an update on this in case anyone finds themselves in this situation in the future.

My sister just received her BRP letter today to say her application has been successfully!

Here are the things I did below:
* Applied for IELTS which she was unable to write due to not having her passport
* Naric was not an option as she doesn’t have a degree
* The embassy gave us 10 working days to respond and they wrote in CAPS they they weren’t going to give an extension

However, I did some research and found LanguageCert! I called them and they confirmed she can take the test with her national ID

So, I booked the next available date however, I was quickly faced with the issue of the 10 working days deadline given by the embassy so I emailed them a compelling letter attaching all the evidence of the IELTS she was unable to write, and the LanguageCert confirmation. I got no response from them whatsoever but they must have taken that into consideration as her application was approved.

Good luck everyone - just waiting for her kids email to come through now

I know you may not say it but there’s a scent of “arranged marriage” in this narrative. Let’s look at the facts.
1. Does she have sole custody of the kids legally? I understand that her spouse has been away for 7 years but has she secured the legal (not implied o) rights to their “sole custody”
2. If Yes is the answer to above question, then she is fine to include them and her new husband as her dependants. If the answer is No, then she’ll need the consent of their father before she can apply for their visas or travel with them.
3. You can go ahead with the marriage and seek to adopt the kids but I don’t know if that erases the moral and legal authority of their biological father; I doubt. His consent would still be required. Other gurus can fault me if I was speculative…
4. Do the kids have NIN already? I’m sure they already have birth certificates currently, why try to issue another one for them?
This was why I said there’s a fragnance of “arranged marriage” in all of this.
In summary, I think the mother should seek legal advice on how to obtain sole custody for her children since the father is non-existent at best…

That’ll lead you to other decisions and milestones. Good luck

Same email can be used, of course. Just indicate appropriately that 'it belonged to someone else'...

Good morning house...I'll like to ask if there is anyone that has a running TRV (visitor visa) and got his study permit application approved...my question is: was there a change in the validity period/expiry date of the visa? I know that student visas are usually tied to the end of the academic program while visitor visas are tied to the passport expiry date...just would like to hear from those that have experienced both...

Congrats to your husband on scaling the first hurdle…of course, you can always apply separately (most people did that here).
You need to confirm if the sponsor ticked “Yes” where they wrote “tick to certify maintenance”…if they didn’t, it means that he doesn’t have to provide proof of funds.

Documents for your husband: IELTS test result or ECCTIS certificate, TB certificate, Police clearance, marriage certificate (not a must if he’s applying alone), COS…

For the family: TB test certificate, police Clearance Certificate for adult, marriage certificate, pictures and other documents to authenticate marriage, birth certificates of kids, consent letter signed by both parents…

Then bank statement showing funds in account for one month…

The truth is that those denials have no bearing or effect on this HCW visa application but not disclosing them amounts to dishonesty and misrepresentation…so they must disclose them. I think they can write the year and try to guess the month (as long as they disclose the denials; accuracy of dates shouldn’t be an issue).
However, to help them get the actual US visa denial date, they can go a search of the email they used for the visa application, US Consulate/CGI would’ve sent a mail to confirm interview date…that can help them to be as close as possible to actual date…but it isn’t a problem. As long as they disclose that they’d been denied visas before, that is sufficient…

P.S: They can use the schegen biometric date for the France visa denial…

Their challenge is this, she and her hubby together with Their last Baby was denied US conference Visa in 2015, and in 2019,she and only her husband was denied France tourist Visa in February and they reapplied on march and Also got another denial,

My question now is This ,since it necessary that they must declare all refusal and they have decided to do that, but they don't know the actual day and month they were denied US Visa in 2015, can they just write that they were denied US conference Visa in 2015 together with their Last child of 4 months then who is over 7yrs now?? Hope writing only the year of denial will not pose any challenge for them?? Pls they need direction,

Secondly on the One of France in Which they were refused visa twice on February and March 2019, should They write that they were refused French Visa in 2019 or they should write that they were refused in February and they reapplied in March and got another denial?
Note==they did biometric capturing on 14th February 2015 at French embassy in lekki,, that's The only date they could remember,

Bros, by ticking that box, the sponsor has helped you cross a major UKVI hurdle (proof of funds). I doubt if you should expect any reimbursement from them…hold enough money to help you settle down before you start to earn your pay.
In any case, you can ask your sponsor about this reimbursement enquiry…but confirm first if it’s possible before you start a relationship on a wrong footing.
Those that have faced similar scenarios here can shed light…

If you write computer based IELTS via IDP, you’ll get your result within 4 working days…you can even pick physical result by the 5th day…

Some sponsors ask for it before issuing a CoS; others don’t…

Those immigration guys can be mean o. Just arrange 3-4k to 'bless' them when they start to frustrate or delay you. All the best.
