1. Hasim Rahman’s Insane Hematoma Hasim Rahman was attempting to make a comeback after losing a much-anticipated rematch with Lennox Lewis. But when he took on former champion Evander Holyfield, he got a taste of the aging icon’s infamous brutality in the ring. Holyfield headbutted Rahman and then repeatedly went after the growing lump on his forehead. The swelling was the result of burst blood vessels leaking into the tissue of Rahman’s forehead, a condition known as hematoma. A ringside doctor examined Rahman and decided to end the fight, leaving Holyfield with a victory by technical knock-out. 2. Jeremy Lane's Balancing Act Jeremy Lane intercepted a pass during the thrilling Super Bowl XLIX game between the Seattle Seahawks and New England Patriots. Unfortunately for Lane, he landed awkwardly and broke his arm, putting him out of commission for the remainder of the Super Bowl. The Seahawks lost to the Patriots 24-28. 3. Anderson Silva Gets the Worst Broken Leg in MMA History Brazilian mixed martial arts champion Anderson Silva suffered a serious leg break against undefeated opponent Chris Weidman. Silva was rushed to the hospital immediately and underwent surgery to correct the break. He returned to the ring the next year, but his career was soon mired in scandal when he tested positive for steroids. 4. Sa Jae-hyouk’s Dislocated Elbow South Korean weightlifting champion Sa Jae-hyouk tragically dislocated his elbow at the 2012 Summer Olympics, forcing him to withdraw from the games.

Have you ever wondered about those perfect looking selfies you see on social media (either by famous celebs or maybe even your friends), and how they come about, and thought 'why do yours never look that amazing and perfect'? Here are some tips for you to achieve similar feats in your selfies. 1. Get a good camera Let me start by saying this: a good camera is the catalyst for a great selfie. I mean, you can't take a selfie using a 2mp camera and expect it to be perfect. My dear, you'll just end up with what'll look like an obituary picture. 2. Expose to adequate lighting Every perfect selfie owes it's credit to the lighting. Before taking a selfie, make sure your face is properly exposed to adequate light, either natural (sunlight) or otherwise. 3. Consider your background A perfect selfie requires a perfect background. Never use a background that blends (in terms of colour) with your outfit. An amazing background will contribute to an amazing selfie. 4. Open your eyes When taking a selfie, make sure to open your eyes properly (but not weirdly), and fixate them on the camera lens, to get a more charming look. 5. Put on a genuine smile No selfie can be perfect without a smile. Stop taking selfies as if the world is ending at your backyard. Smile! If you're finding it difficult to put on a smile, think of a joke or a pleasant memory that might stir it up. One time, I had to think of my bank account balance to get on a great smile. ![]() 6. Tilt your head Especially for ladies; slightly tilting your head to the side could prove very attractive when taking a selfie. But don't over-do it, otherwise you might end up looking like you got a stroke or something. 7. Be calm and free One thing about taking great selfies is looking calm and free (looking yourself and down to earth). Don't look too caught up and all serious in it. Using these tips, you can actually take a perfect selfie without requiring any form of photo manipulations whatsoever. Nevertheless... Extra tip 9. Use filters and edit Well, I had to add this one. Because after all said and done, some persons would still not be satisfied with how they look. And if that be your case, get your photo editors out and get busy with the alterations and manipulations, and edit the pic to your taste. ![]() Enjoy! |
Love is the basis on which Christianity was established some 2000+ years ago. The Bible says 'For God so loved the world, that He gave His only Begotten son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.' - John 3:16 The God-kind of love is the sacrificial kind. It is the kind that places as much value on others as it does on itself. And every believer is ... Read full article here |
The other day I was reading the story of a woman named Hannah in the book of 1 Samuel chapter 1, who was barren but later became fruitful. In verse 19 of that chapter it says "and the LORD remembered her". And it got me thinking, 'is it possible for God to forget?'. Because one can only be said to have remembered what they had forgotten. Nevertheless, the answer to this question is a big 'NO'. God doesn't forget. The Message Bible Translation puts that scripture so rightly. It says "and God began making the necessary arrangements in respect to what she had asked." - 1 Samuel 1:19b. In other words, she reacted to her situation in prayers, and God simply responded. Until she did something about her case, there was no divine intervention. Hear this, stop waiting for God, when God is waiting for you. God's time is the best, yes. But you can determine when that time is. "...behold, now is the accepted time" - 1 Corinthians 6:2 "Now faith is..." - Hebrews 11:1 God will not be bigger tomorrow. Whatever you believe he can do tomorrow, He is capable of doing today. God's time is in sync with your time of reaction. When you put your faith to work God is committed to make things work out for you. What you permit, will persist and what you resent, will relent. "Take this most seriously: A yes on earth is yes in heaven; a no on earth is no in heaven." - Matthew 18:18 MSG. Until there's a reaction to a situation on earth, heaven will not act. You determine what terminates or germinates in your life. Hannah prayed, God answered. What are you doing concerning your own situation?--Are you just watching and hoping, or are you doing something to change it? You don't watch what you don't want. God has not forgotten you, and will never forget. But until you react to your case (in line with His Word), He will not act. If you don't step up to that situation, God will not step in. And I decree that whatever you react against (like Hannah), God will remember you in the name of Jesus! See also... The Power Of Right Association |

Prayer is communicating with God on the basis of His word and our relationship with Him--a wise man said. It is the avenue where divine help is secured. Prayer (some say or sing) is the master's key, adding that Jesus started with prayer and ended with prayer--which is not true, in the sense that prayer is not 'the key', prayer is just 'a key'. And Jesus never started with prayer and neither did He end with prayer. He started with the Word, and ended with the Word. Moving on, lets swiftly see some reasons why Christians must be prayerful. 1. These are perilous times 'This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come.' - 2 Timothy 3:1 The dangers in the world today are numerous (both seen and unseen). Prayer secures divine protection and exemption from these dangers. 2. An adversary prowls 'Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour.' - 1 Peter 5:8 Take it or leave it, satan is out to ruin you at every chance he gets. And If you're not prayerful, you might end up his prey. 3. Oppositions are many 'For a great door and effectual is opened unto me, and there are many adversaries.' - 1 Corithians 16:9 Your divinely ordained position is defined, but the opposition is determined to restrict your access to it by all means. And only the (spiritually) violent (in prayer) take their position and possession forcefully. 4. Temptations are lurking 'And when he was at the place, He said unto them, pray that ye enter not into temptation.' - Luke 22:40 These days, at every turn of the head lies a temptation. And prayer engenders mastery and dominion over temptation. Because it is the devil (temptation) you resist (in the field of prayer) that will flee, and be overcomed. 5. Power is a necessity 'When a strong man armed keepeth his palace, his goods are in peace. But when a stronger than him shall come upon him, and overcome him, he taketh from him all his armour wherein he trusted, and divideth his spoils.' - Luke 11:21-22 There are diverse kinds of powers in today's world, but greatest is the power of God, than all the powers in the world. And this power is generated in the avenue of prayer. 6. Heaven waits for your reaction 'Verily I say unto you, whatsoever ye shall bind on earth shall be bound in heaven. And whatsoever ye shall loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.' - Matthew 18:18 Until you react to what's happening based on what's written, what's happening will continue. Hannah remained barren until she reacted and secured God's hand through prayers. Jabez remained spiritually honorable but physically miserable until he called on God, and his story was changed. Nineveh, a city which was destined for doom and destruction according to the word of God which he spoke through Jonah, engaged in fervent prayers, which caused God to spare the city. Concerning this topic, I can go on and on to speak of Elijah, Elisha, Daniel, Jacob, Jesus, The Apostles, Hezekiah etc. Nevertheless, the bottomline is that 'men ought always to pray, and not to faint'--Jesus said in Luke 18:1. http://bbsermons.com.ng/why-christians-must-be-prayerful/ |
As a student I see alot of diverse kinds of girls on a daily basis. Most of these girls often form 'class' and play hard to get, especially the ones that are not even that beautiful. Nevertheless, one thing I believe is that no matter how hard or classy she thinks she is or may look, she's still female and can still fall for a guy. Except she's lesbian or something tho. ![]() Anyways, lets just get to it... Getting a girl to like you is not impossible, it just requires the right tactics. 1. Give her systematic attention Unlike the popular belief of 'ignoring the girl' you wish to have interest in you. I say, give her attention, but systematically. Talk to her, play with her. Ask her questions like 'what's your favourite color?', 'how's your day going?', 'how was your weekend?', 'what are you're dreams?', have her talk about her beliefs and philosophies of life, etc. And as she talks, listen and maintain eye contact. Every female loves attention. But don't overdo it. Give her attention for sometime and ignore her for sometime. And also, do talk about yourself with her too (but not arrogantly). Females like to hear guys talk about themselves. 2. Compliment her Most girls get complimented alot, hence, the need for your own compliment to be special, different and notable. Don't just tell her she's looking good, or beautiful, or fine, she's probably heard that a million times and yours won't make a difference. Get innovative! Compliment her on something abstract and less obvious. Or even if you wanna compliment her on her obvious features, do it with difference. 3. Stare at her Now this may seem kinda strange, but remember I told you that females crave attention. Learn to stare at her from a distance or even from up close; do it consciously from time to time. Stare with a smile on your face and don't stop until she catches you, then smile and look away. If she doesn't ask you about it later, then I'm paying for your next data subscription. And when she asks you about it, simply reply that you were just admiring her. My brother, believe me, you have just registered yourself in her mind. Extra tip: doing it when you're suppose to be concentrated in some other thing, heightens the probability of success. For example, lets say when a lecturer is lecturing. 4. Call her This is important, learn to call even when you don't have anything of importance to tell or talk to her about. Just call and say you're just checking on her to see how she faring. You might even add that you miss her smile, or her company or something you know. Like I said, get innovative! Don't keep the call long and awkward, keep it short and direct. 5. Show genuine care Now, it's easy to pretend to care in order to just get the girl, but some girls will sense your pretence from a mile away. So show genuine care for her. Do her favors, but don't make yourself cheap. 6. Touch her unaware Touch her hair, her hands, feel her physique etc. And (although not related to the point) get in her personal space sometimes as well, make her smile when you meet her and when you leave her. Extra tip: do it innocently and appear absent-minded sometimes to heighten the chances of success. Lik I said before, every girl is capable of falling for a guy. It just takes pushing the right buttons and making the right moves on the part of the guy. And the idea here is to make your interest in her evident without actually announcing it. And hopefully (tho proven) these six techniques will do just that. Thanks for reading. Criticism, corrections and additions are welcome. Author: Daniel W.Dan |
'Don't be like Kalinic' Nikola Kalinic was sent home for refusing to come on as sub in first group game. Croatia have now reached the World Cup final for the first time in their history. Fans from around the world have mocked the striker for having such a big ego. After getting himself sent home from the World Cup, Nikola Kalinic has now become a laughing stock after his country reached the World Cup final without him. The striker refused to come on as a substitute in Croatia's first group game, a 2-0 win over Nigeria, and was subsequently sent home by manager Zlatko Dalic. His decision to place his ego over the country's needs has severely backfired as Croatia reached the World Cup final and proved that it is better to completely eliminate toxicity from the squad. Croatia striker Kalinic (circled, on the bench vs Nigeria) was sent home after refusing to play. No sooner had Kalinic arrived in Russia, he was sent home, after refusing to come on as a sub.

"Pass me not O gentle Savior, hear my humble cry, why on other thou art calling, do not pass me by"--sings one 'morning cry' preacher before proceeding with the word of God, at around 5:30am in the morning; disturbing the serenity of the early morning hours of the environment. Morning cry preachers are the order of the day in just about every Nigerian neighborhood. Very early in the morning hours they come out with their portable speakers and microphones to preach diverse kinds of messages. Some preach salvation, while some preach condemnation and the likes. Thank God for these people who sacrifice resources to do such. Nevertheless, for certain reasons (stated below), I'm not a fan of their venture because... 1. It's Not Profitable As far as I'm concerned, 'morning cry' preachers bring no profit to the kingdom of God whatsoever. 'There is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner that repenteth.' - Luke 15:10 The joy of heaven is to see lost souls saved and restored back into the kingdom, and any kingdom related venture that doesn't facilitate that is an unprofitable one as far as heaven is concerned. Regardless the fantastic and tantalizing nature of the message preached, if it doesn't bring souls to Christ, it's an unprofitable venture. 2. It's Lacks Accountability Having talked about the venture not being profitable, I know some persons may argue otherwise implying the sense that someone somewhere may hear the word preached and get saved--which I will not disagree with. But if that be the case, then how does the preacher know something like that has happened? How does he/she account for any soul won? And if they cannot be accounted for, how can they be preserved and established in the kingdom? Any soul you cannot account for will not be accounted to you. And soul winning is not complete until the soul is fully established in the faith. So, the lack of accountability and profitability are the problems I have with this 'morning cry' thing. Hence, I feel these preachers are berely wasting their time, and also their resources.

PROPHETmichael:You know, I've been observing the discussion. But let me dive into this discussion a bit here. What is deliverance? The action of being rescued or set free. What does it mean to be delivered? To save, rescue, or set someone or something free. What does God's Word say about freedom? 'And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.' - John 8:32 Whats the truth? 'Thy word is true from the beginning.' - Psalm 119:160 Yes, a demon can reside in a non-believer and can be cast out. But like I said in the original post at the start of this thread, if the demon leaves there is a tendacy that'll it'll return with seven other demons more dangerous than itself to dwell in that person, giving that the person refuses to be grounded in God's Word. (see Luke 11:24-26). But as a believer, it's not possible for you to be possessed by a demon, except you're ignorant of who you are and your rights in Christ. Or maybe except you've backslidden (which mean you're no longer a believer). A true believer cannot be possessed, but can be oppressed (also if ignorant)--don't mistake this. Jesus was preaching, and the 'power of God was present' to heal and deliver. And if you read on from Luke 5:17 there you'll see how a man was brought to Him from the roof and got healed. Paul was preaching in Acts 14:7-10, when faith was stirred up in a certain man, who then got healed. I can go all day with examples... The truth is that (like I said in the original post), any deliverance not word based or grounded is merely a temporary fix. |

PROPHETmichael:firstly, define a 'true deliverance ministry'? And if the word of God is preached undilutedly in such place, then why the need for head pushing and the likes? I kinda agree with the rest of what u said... |
enilove:notice there how He said 'to PREACH DELIVERANCE' ... Implying the necessity of God's word for actual deliverance. And not by some head pushing and acrobatic displays. |
bloodofthelamb:Lol... Thanks! The thing tire me sef |
Tosinex:yes, 'Upon mount Zion there shall be deliverance...' but remember it's also written that 'He sent His Word, and healed them, and delivered them from their destruction.' -Psalm 107:20 ... So it's the Word that proceeds from 'Mount Zion' that guarantees deliverance. Always balance the Bible. Any deliverance not Word-based is only temporal. |
mystiquemaestro:nobody said you should goto such places ... |
isidiwent:I don't see how he can even do that. |
Darkseid:And what will he gain by doing such? To impress who and why? |
ozoebuka1:This is one of the most dumb ass sh*t I've seen today. |
The reason is simple: 'understanding'. It's one thing to just dance in Church and it's a whole other thing to 'understand' what you're doing. 'The man that wandereth out of the way of understanding shall remain in the congregation of the dead.' - Proverbs 21:16 A man or woman that has no 'understanding' on the subject of praise will find it difficult to dance in Church, or may just be dancing religiously. But when 'understanding' is in place, nobody will need to motivate you to dance when praise is in session. It is insight, that makes the difference in Christians. |
Here in Nigeria, we have become very conversant with certain acclaimed 'Church' congregations that portray themselves as deliverance ministries. Where people mostly go to get delivered from various 'demonic' oppression and satanic influence in their lives; usually done in a seemingly acrobatic fashion. Though these so called deliverance ministries might appear scriptural and good, I wouldn't advise any Christian or potential Christian to go to such places. Some reasons being: 1. Deficiency Of God's Word In deliverance ministries you hardly hear or see the Word of God preached properly. Due to the fact that in most cases the deliverance ministers attribute little or no time to building or grounding themselves in the Word of God. Hence, how can they preach good and anointed messages full of grace to their congregations when they didn't take time to learn or study themselves. And one thing they fail to know is that anything (deliverance, church congregation, etc) not grounded on the Word of God is bound to fade away. If a deliverance minister pushes your head and make you throw yourself down to the floor, and 'delivers' you, but does not sow seeds of God's Word into your soul. My dear, Jesus says, 'your latter state will be worse than your former.' Because the satanic oppression and influence in your life will be minimum 7-fold.--(See Luke 11:24-26) 2. Satan Conciousness As Christians, attributing any form of power or authority to the devil is as a result of sheer ignorance. In deliverance ministries, they (knowing or unknowingly) magnify satan alot instead of magnifying God. You hear the ministers talking more about the devil, mosttimes almost more than they talk about God. And this incites a sense of satan-consciousness in the minds and hearts of their congregation. My advice to Christians and potential Christians is that if you find yourself in a congregation where there is no palpable or strong Word base or ground; or where they're always talking about demons, evil spirits and the likes, pls get out from such a congregation; it is toxic. |
