my fiend who is currently undergoing fertility treatment would like to increase her chances of having twins. so she visited over the weekend and we searched the internet on how to concieve twins and heres what we found. the yoruba tribe has the highest number of multiple births ie twins, triplets in the world and they attribute this to the consumption of a particular wild yam. the wife of ekiti state governor tried to educate rural women to consume less of the said wild yam due to the potential danger associated with multiple births. I reckon ekiti has the most percentage of all other states. in lieu of these facts I would like to know the local name of this wild yam and also its preparation. what dish is made out of it. how long should she be on the diet before conception or is it too late given that she has not been eating this from childhood? and lastly are there other foods, veggies etc.. to combine it with. we are not trying to play God, but obviously God has given us all we want. its just for us to use them for our benefits. your contributions are highly appreciated
If your friend is already using a fertility clinic, then why would she need this so-called 'wild yam' to achieve twins/triplets etc.? Makes your story sound suspect. Any fertility doctor, or anyone who has gone through IVF in a fertility clinic should know how multiple embryo is achieved. Something is NOT right with your story. |
dayokanu: Hoiw did a thread about people visiting Fashola become tribal.@ dayokanu What other regions in Nigeria have you ever visited, to see how much development they have? And the Lagos everyone keeps yapping about, how was it developed, where did the resources come from? And in terms of infrastructural development, aside from Lagos and Abuja (For Obvious reasons), which region is the most developed in Nigeria, and why? I'm just asking, please educate me? |
Akainzo: Please point me to the last 3 press statements by CACOL as regards corruption in Nigeria.I rarely do rejoinders, I tend to hope that Nigerians would be concerned enough to do their own fact-check about issues in their country, but since you asked so nicely, I'll point you where to look if you care to do so. http://www.cwatch.thehumanitycentre.org/ |
Kairoseki77: Looks like the Coalition Against Corrupt Leaders has received an envelope recently. SMH. olabukola: The op and CACOL president must be ibo people. Rubbish seanet02: This is the kind of thread maximiliano will create. Why can't you Nigerians ever base your debate and discuss on FACTs, VERIFIABLE FACTS, why must you always bring in your pre-conceived beliefs and very pedestrian tribal emotion into every issue? Executive Chairman, Coalition Against Corrupt Leaders, Mr. Debo Adeniran is clearly a Yoruba man, and his organization has always been neutral and on point without any personal interest. Are you people so cursed that you can't reason on your own based on factual data. This was exactly what Obasanjo lamented about (Sahara Reporters) 2 days ago. Education and life is wasted on you if you cannot reason factually and objectively. You can agree or disagree on any issue, but base it on VERIFIABLE, FACTUAL and OBJECTIVE/CRITICAL reasoning. Only a person without any positive, intellectual and factual argument will resort to name-calling, abuse, foul language, tribal sentiments and emotions, and it makes you sound like an infant peasant. If you have any VERIFIABLE FACT that counters what CACOL has stated, then please share with us. And if you have any FACTUAL VERIFIABLE PROOF that CACOL took bribe, then let us know, and we'll thank you. If not, then stop blowing smoke up your rear-end. |
alexchiny: Exactly! Thats why i love my Uncle, Uncle Mugabe.Your Ignorance stinks high! What do you know about Mugabe, about how he came into power in the first place, about what he has reduced his country to, about life in Zimbabwe today and the state of their economy and infrastructure? |
homesteady: Only for one day?? Okay!! Very soon everybody in the stadium 'll run into the field to hug him! Since they'll only be jailed for 1dayIt goes into your record for life (its the western world, not Africa), it could stop you from getting a job or any important position in life. Its a big deal! |
doncaster: Are filling this suit on behalf of abiola family that have forgiven mustafa? It is NOT on behalf of abiola's family, it's on behalf of Kudirat Abiola's 'Right to Life', and on behalf of Lagos State where the crime of murder was committed. |

For a woman who couldn't afford shoes for his son, now building and donating a hostel, how did she make the money, I'll love to get into the kind of business she's doing. |
jibsai: Um! I tot same abubarka released obsanjo, diya and co...he also returned democracy to dz country somfin u mofo is enjoyin to spill out d sH!ttt above! In military regime I doubt Nairaland will be existing...Eko oni baje o//oyo oni daru oobasanjo and diya were not an issue at the time. And democracy was already agreed on before abubarka came, he was under pressure to hand over, so he spent more money in less than a year than most other presidents spent in 4 years. If he loved Yoruba so much, why didn't he release Abiola immediately and hand over to him? |
Italiano1: The Bosses have spoken!!!the same boxes that arranged Abiola's death? |
agbameta: All the powerful forces in Nigeria dey fall over each other to show love and respect. Fashola is def the most loved and respected Nigerian leader.? Abiola knows better. |
newwavemotors: This 2011 Mercedes-benz GL 450 was bought brand new, registered but hardly ever driven. Everything works perfectly and can still be classified a brand new car.I read your post, maybe you should read it again. |
The car looks clean, and is a good drive. But please, DO NOT classify it as 'Brand New', because it is NOT. At best it can be classified as 'Like New'. It was purchased brand new, registered to an owner who drove it for over 11k miles/KM, that disqualifies it from being 'Brand New' anymore. |

Symphony007: Hey guys. My girlfriend and i have been dating for a while and we are in the university. You're still a STUDENT, why do you need EXPENSIVE DINNERS? |
When Obasanjo was president, the only people he could trust to run the country were Igbos (Andy Uba, Charles Soludo, Oby Ezekwesili, Mr. Nweke, Okonjo Iweala etc), it was for a reason. The only people he could trust are Igbos, the only people he knew that'll work hard and honestly, and produce results were igbos, he knew yorubas are more interested in free money without work, in making loud and empty noise, in fornicating. He tried bode George, well, we know how that ended, lets not talk about how bola ige ended up. Yorubas are known world-wide for making noise, owambe, fornication, beating their women, incest etc. They're the wimps of Africa, no courage, no backbone, no principle, even opc leaders are now dinning with Al Mustapha. |
ilugunboy: Let them keep braying for blood.....they will get ocean full of it....Yorubas are legendary for making empty, unsupported brave talks. When Abiola was killed, they made big noise how they'll revenge and retaliate and turn Nigeria upside down, what became of that, same thing happened when kudirat was killed, now the so-called opc leaders are dinning with Al Mustapha. Then Bola Ige was killed, same empty noises. We all know how Oladipo Diya went and knelt down for Abacha to beg for his life.A Yoruba man will remove his shirt 10 times and fold his trouser 10 times to prepare for a fight, but just slap him once and he'll lie down inside gutter. A youruba man only shows his strength when he's beating one his wives, or fkn his neighbours daughter/wife. |
Skanas: Gush!Eyaaaaa dis one bad Oº°˚˚°º... RIPDon't wait until you are DRUNK! If you DRINK, DON'T DRIVE! |
The author of this article is Clearly confusing Billion and Trillion. 600 trillion naira is over $4 trillion. How much is the entire economy of west Africa, including Nigeria? |
plaindealer: Oga suswan, abeg speak for yourself..Suswan merely stated a verifiable fact, if you have a contradictory verifiable fact, then state it. |
I do not really care about the undercurrents leading to Soludo's move to APGA, but I suggest that all Aspirants in APGA should coalesce around Soludo. He is the only one amongst them who has the intellectual, economical, relational and pragmatic skills to take Anambra to the next level. If Anambra is well, followed by Abia, then Igboland is well, economically. http://www.spyghana.com/soludo-quits-pdp-displaces-apgas-22-aspirants-for-n2billion/
economic |
