Eromose08: Please bro I wanna ask, the part that interested me the most was when Oga paulinus took ur appointment letter and kept it inside ur passport, Did he check if the number on the passport correlates with that of the appointment letter? Cos like I have posted on this thread before that I mistakenly use my previous passport number on the same international passport to book for an appointment, and I'm not ready to cancel my appointment because of the limited no of dates. Thanks. Bro. No be me do Interview. I was just asking him questions too |

how much did you paid at the sappers lodge DeutschMariano: TRANSCRIPT ALERT! So had my interview on the 10th (yesterday). Lodged at sappers Lodge inside bony cantonment, very nice, spacious and comfortable room. With a lounge by a mini beach too, somewhere to cool your head before your interview the next day I had to set 2 alarms each on two of my phones, before my village people use me shine . By around 11pm, I remember say I no get WAEC scratch card.. Nsogbu! I quickly go online go buy am. I woke up by 4am, left the lodge by 5am, got to the embassy by 5:15. I went to print the scratch card I bought. Those guys for embassy use me shine. Collect 1k for my hand just to print on page document. Anyway, I see am as price wey I gats pay for my carelessness. Please triple check your documents to see if they're complete before the day of your interview o, unless you wan dash those guys money. I was the first at the embassy. Our appointment letters were stamped and signed on. Oga Paulinus came by few minutes past 6. I been no know say na him be the almighty oga Paulinus o.. Na the guy for my back tell me He started attending to us by 6:45. Attended to Schengen people first, before long term. He called the first 3 people, asked us to remove our documents and keep them on the chair. The 3rd was wasting time na so oga Paulinus change am for him o, tell my guy make e go for back of line. For my mind, this man na me and you today . He collected our passport, put the appointment letter inside, placed it on a desk, then took the 2 application forms and placed them side by side. Then he started calling other documents one after the other, 1 original and 2 photocopies. We were done within 5 minutes, na so oga Paulinus begin commend us o That we were the fastest since he started working there. For our 3 mind we dey feel like James bond Paulinus doesn't really have a problem, contrary to what I've been reading about him here, he's just too disciplined and expects your to be fast and smart. Do exactly what he asked you to do and do it fast enough and you won't have problems with him. We were checked in and got to the visa section. I was interviewed by the fair lady in room 2. She was friendly. She asked for my passport and application form.
VO: where and what are you going for? Me: Hamburg University of Applied Sciences, Bachelors in information engineering VO: Bachelors? And you booked category A? Me: I have a bachelors certificate. VO: What did you study? Me: Electronic and Computer Engineering VO: it's not related to what you're going for now? Me: It is VO: So why are you going for it? Me: answer VO: Give me your application fee VO: have to funded? Me: yes I have. VO: which bank?
She captured my finger prints, then asked me to pick up the phone.
VO: why this course? VO: why Germany? VO: why not US or UK? VO: what do you know about Germany? I use this one shine small I dey talk she just dey type dey nod her head.
VO: plans after your studies? VO: that'll be all.
All in all, it went well. Just be yourself. As for oga Paulinus, forget everything you've heard about him here, just be on your best behaviour that day.
The wait for AM begins!
It'll all end in praise!! |

Nice Post. Thanks a lot. Can I have your whatapp contact? Immafrank: Greeting y'all,
I have said this before but will say it again, Applicants with good grades at least 3.5/5.0 should endeavour to apply to the ERASMUS MUNDUS schorlarship programmes (application starts around Aug, Sept, Oct, Nov, Dec and deadline is Oct Nov Dec Jan Feb of the following year depending on the course), ERASMUS MUNDUS gives you 1k euros monthly allowance, they pay health insurance, they give you travel allowance of about 3.5k euros, some of the schools link you with better companies for internship, they pay your tuition fees because sometimes, it is always a joint program whereby you might do 2 semesters in 2 different european countries and your last semester in Germany depending on the course. please dont let your grades and skills be wasting, most of these scholarships dont even have suitable applicants for the courses, you have upper hand if your Bsc is related to the ERASMUS Mundus course you will be applying to because you get a grade of 1 for that criteria. Your technical competences and your multicultural competencies also count. For me, i feel ERASMUS MUNDUS is more easier to get than DAAD scholarship.
I could remember applying jokingly to an ERASMUS Mundus master course online then which is to be done in 3 countries (Austria, France, Spain). My CGPA is 3.22/5.0 by the way... I submitted all my docs online, because it didnt cost me anything to do that. They later mailed me after the deadline that my application passed the 2 stages and they scheduled me for a skype interview(video). The professor i was skyping with was part of the admission committee, after all the whole interview, she said i was even lucky to have reached this stage that they had eliminated many students and that with all my documents she was seeing, i am competent for get the scholarship. "in my mind, i was like what did i submit?, 3.22 CGPA, 5 month SIWES, 1 year NYSC and 6 months internship at a same company, No programming skills which is needed for the course, No publications, few recommendation letters. No GRE/GMAT, No IELTS or TOEFL". But unfortunately, some days later, i was put on the waiting list that if anybody should drop out of the scholarship, they will give me but who rejects a scholarship? So if my average grade and skills could put me on the waiting list. You could get it!!!
Also, most of the ERASMUS applications are online whereby you only upload all neccessary documents on the portal meaning you dont need to send your docs to the school, some do interviews while some dont. And some of these ERASMUS courses are only starting for the first time with a span of 4-5 years.
Here is the link for ERASMUS MUNDUS course catalogue
https://eacea.ec.europa.eu/erasmus-plus/library/scholarships-catalogue_en
There was a girl on part 4 of this thread, she applied to a private university in Germany with no hope of funding, she posted all her documents to the school. She got the admission but the tuition fee was crazy, so she forgot about it, few weeks later, she got an email from the private university that she has been awarded a Kofi Anan Scholarship (fully funded). Scholarship she didnt apply for but she said she submitted her GRE result. Everything is God's grace, so its not juss about the grades sometimes. So always send all your academic docs when applying to courses whether self funded or not even if the school didnt ask. There is no crime in sending docs not required by the schools- I'm talking about admission in general now not about scholarship. This girl's university was private and the course had a scholarship, hence the story.
Futhermore, I see some people confused about Health Insurance... You dont need health insurance for your interview, you only need a travel health insurance when you get approval mail from the embassy and AXA Mansard is acceptable which is about 23k or so, there are other ones too. But When you get to Germany, you will need another Health insurance which is a prerequisite for your enrolment and residence permit.
Also, prepaid courier envelope is important, without it, you will be bounced from the gate. It is the courier envelope they will use to post your docs back whether acceptance or rejection even if you decided to pick your visa up yourself due to delay, only use DHL, UPS, FEDEX for your prepaid envelope.
I wish everybody approval both for visa and admission.
Tchuss. |

Deustchemann: Come to Lagos, it shouldn't be a problem here.
Besides, on a norms, you shouldn't have been turned back cos the proof of sustenance required by the embassy is for 1yr, not 2. Unless your scholarship doesn't cover the entire year...
You can open a blocked account and go for the interview with the opening confirmation, alongside your scholarship.
But then.. I've not heard of this before.. odindi scholarship I have gotten my opening confirmation from fintiba. Thanks |
