Funny as it sounds I don't think any of you actually read to the last paragraph where I cited my purpose for this thread.

Don't just judge from the title.
Those already planning to pray for me, you should remember yourselves in prayer too for being incapable of understanding a simple message as this one.

I have a pastor and I actually got this message from him. I made sure I understood him before sharing this and there's nothing blasphemous here. So quit the self-righteous display.

While growing up, we were made to believe through movies, music and other means that Jesus was a very perfect man in the Bible both by appearance and inwardly. But there's a Scripture in the Bible which outrightly contradicts the belief (Isaiah 52: 13- 16 & Isaiah 53: 1-3)

Behold, my servant shall prosper, He shall be exalted and lifted up, and shall be very high.
As many were astonished at him —his appearance was so marred, beyond human semblance, and his form beyond that of the sons of men—
So shall He startle many nations; kings shall shut their mouths because of him; for that which has not been told them they shall see, and that which they have not heard they shall understand. (52: 13-15)

who has believed what we have heard? And to whom has the arm of the Lord been revealed?
For He grew up before him like a young plant, and like a root out of dry ground; He had no form or comeliness that we should look at him, and no beauty that we should desire him.
He was despised and rejected by men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief; and as one from whom men hide their faces He was despised, and we esteemed him not. (53: 1-3)

I believe if He was that beautiful as many would say, the Bible would have made mention of that just like it was written in the Bible about "Anselem". He was described as a beautiful man and likewise David was said to be quite handsome - Goliath said this before He was defeated.

I believe God wanted us to know the value of our character and lowliness. He looks at the soul and not the physical nor our faces.

Read the verses I stated above, I'm not being blasphemous or anything but saying what I understood by that particular Scripture.
