Please I need to complain about their action so if you have any channel I can channel my complaint also how do we apply for extension
Honestly, there is little or nothing you can do. I copied the NIV because the embassy is the link between us and their government. Perhaps on reading it, they may be able to use one of their channels in addressing such actions at the POE. From a personal point of view, I believe 8hrs wait after a long haul flight is too much for a pregnant woman. But you also said her Tommy is not protruding so it is possible they didn't realise she was pregnant. Fighting it may only put you under the spotlight and I wouldn't advise you go down that route.

nefertitiram:
Some babies stay till 42 weeks, especially first babies. 38 weeks birth is pushing your luck. She can apply for an extension. It will take as long as 6 mths to 1 year but she has to apply 45 days before her stay expires. She would have had her baby and zapped before she gets a response. But she has to face the hurdle of discussing why she applied for an extension during her renewal interview
follow her advise but please note the possible repercussions she mentioned. I once asked the NIV questions relating to simple change of flight within the time frame one was stamped in, and the response I got amazed me. Although I used the vacation as the example when I asked.
You can direct your questions to them directly as they are in the best position to give you an official solution. Use this link:

worry359, you have come to spam this thread again abi...issorai...always sounding harsh as though anyone is obliged to answer you!

danowena, you just opted into this thread without sharing any visa interview story, or how you found a hospital or something! you come here blabbing rubbish and by the way! why did u ave to copy the NIVs...huh? For your information, it's at the discretion of the CBP officer to grant or refuse you entry into the US ! No matter the length of time someon is held back, you have absolutely no right to question it ! They are only doing their job! #stop spamming this thread if you have nothing to contribute# undecided
Don't let me start with you. If you have hormones disturbing you, direct it to someone else. If you are one of those rude ones, you better watch what you type. Some people that are known warriors in several sections failed at it with me. I don't remember reading any where that I must have given a VO transcript or POE transcript before I can post or contribute. I don't even remember quoting you. And who says I don't know about the discretion of the CBP? Sometimes, it is wise to keep one's stupidity in secret rather than in the open as it may earn you accolades. Do you even know the meaning of SPAMMING? I guess not.
I am tempted to write further but I will hold back awaiting a mistype from you. angry

Any one in the banking industry should please help verify. Someone I sent to first bank for MONEYGRAM is being told by the cashier that the official rate has been reviewed to 306 over the weekend. I am trying to get clarifications now if he is referring to moneygram rate or CBN official rate. I have not seen anything to the effect that CBN official rate has changed.

She asked the woman why they were left unattended to for hours I guess that was why they picked on her.

My wife isn't the type that hides sha she spoke out about been kept for 8hrs it was her complain that got the woman to start interviewing them
8 hrs shocked . That is too much. 8 hrs after the long haul flight ? Are these officials at the Houston POE not being heartless? Perhaps they see nothing wrong with her sitting down for 8hrs after a long haul flight. undecided . I guess we should be grateful she was not even sent back under one "section". lipsrsealed

Hello just to announce my wife just left for houston some hours ago.
PTA obtained from stanbic p 210.

Wifey got an upgrade from economy to b class I still don't understand this part though she flew airfrance and she was told stuff about sky priority.

POE has been handed over to God will give details once she's through it and please if any one understands how she got the upgrade pls tell me.
How far with POE report? There seems to have been good reviews concerning Houston POE of late. It is most likely her travel history with the airline's association. Then it could be they just decided to upgrade her due to her condition so she can have more room (airlines are sometimes magnanimous).
Christianity EtcRe: When A Christian Backslides, does God Remember All The Whole Sins From Beginning? by danowena:
Interesting. So logically speaking, if One sins and repents, his sins are at a minimal compared to those who don't repent regularly. Therefore one's punishment in hell is minimal if the punishment should be proportional to one's sins. We need more answers.

Please decide on the doctor/hospital quickly (from the options people give here) so that you can apply for Form A to pay Doctor upfront @200 naira per dollar. Also check the last few pages for the banks where people bought PTA. If you pay your fees lets say N1.4M, you can then take 3,000 dollars from PTA (this is assuming that you get ticket of N500k. Really tight but God is with you.
But the challenge is to get a doctor/hospital that will take direct transfer via Form A. Please do share if u know any.

Hello Gurus,

Please in a seriously water logged area, what is the use of having a DPC at the base of a septic tank if it will be properly sealed and tested for leaks. Afterall, there will be water around the septic tank and there will be excreta and waste inside the tank. So why damp proof it? huh

Thanks in advance for your response.

Hello danowena,

There are no appropriate visa classes to allow children to attend public primary schools in the United States..........

Should a parent wish to enroll their child in a private primary or secondary school, the student must be accepted and apply for an F-1 visa.

There are no visas for parents of students in the United States to stay long-term. The appropriate visa would be a B1/B2 tourist visa, but this would simply allow a parent/guardian to visit their child. If they attempt to live in the United States while their child is in US schools, their visa might be revoked and they may be barred from reentering the United States.

Regards,
Abuja NIV Team
Dear AbujaNIV,

Thank you very much for your very detailed and educative response.

Hello danowena,

Daycare is the equivalent of hiring someone to babysit your child while you go out for the night. It is not education and does not require a special visa as such. Education including and beyond kindergarten (whether public or private), however, is not allowed on a B1/B2 visa.

Regards,
Abuja NIV Team
Okay sir/ma'am,
Your response is well understood. However, how does one go about educating a child from kindergarten till high school who is not a US citizen? Does the mother of the child have to apply for any special kind of visa aside from visiting visa so as to take care of the child? Or must the child be in a boarding school for this to be achieved.
Thank you!

Dear LagosNIV/ Abujaniv

Thank you very much for your prompt response. Well the questions are not about me but 2 people I know that sort my opinion. I referred one of them to this thread but apparently, he never asked on here.
But with this response I can give a more confident answer in future because as it stands I already gave an ill advise to the one already in states since I never knew scenario 3 could have an effect since he is within the window given. Although his travel plans sincerely changed. Scenario 2 was fabricated for information and learning purposes as he knew his plans would likely change few days prior to his travel to states. Thus I explored the option of him just stating his new plan at the POE.

Thank you very much for the advise and guidance given here. I am fast becoming a travel consultant with all my learnings from this thread. Great job.

1. Maybe

2. Maybe

3. Maybe

All of these things depend on the circumstances of your travel. None of it inherently breaks immigration law, but if you start lying about things or concealing information it could lead to getting banned. If you have legitimate reasons for the changes and are able to explain them credibly then there should be no problems; but how reasonable is extending vacation for an entire month after you get there?

Dear VO,
Please I have 3 questions relating to similar scenerios and I am sorry if they have been repeatedly addressed in the past.

1. If one stated intentions to travel in february but now wants to go in march, will it pose a problem at the POE?

2. If one stated that he intends staying for 3 months during the interview but due to changes in plans now wants to stay for 4 months. Will the CBP construe it as a misrepresentation if he tells him the new length of stay as against that which was stated during his interview?

3. If one initially plans staying for 3 months and was stamped in for 6 months at the POE but now wants to stay for an extra month after entry, will this pose a problem in future if he goes ahead to change his return flight? Please note that he is now staying a total of 4 months and was stamped in for 6 months.

I'm not sure you can travel with 2 children under the age of 6. You need to attach one of your babies to another adult or pay for one unaccompanied.
You may have problems when checking in as the system will keep rejecting one of the babies(from experience )
Can Hubby come and get you guys? Trust me you'll need the extra hand.
That is why she should give full disclosure to the person that attended to her. I don't even know how she will cope with 2 infants. It is best for her hubby to accompany her.

@kaakaa Thanks dear. I called and said I would like to include my baby to my ticket, the lady asked for my ref code which I gave her, and all she said was to include an infant the cost is $305.60. I want to assume that she saw my details on the system after giving her my ref code I.e. an infant already attached to my ticket, but she made no mention of what the other person said the other day. Now I am confused, if I go ahead and pay but get to the airport and I am being held up unnecessarily because of what the initial person had said.

Someone advised i get to the airport very early on my date of departure(Jan 29th) and sort for someone travelling to Lagos and ask to attach my baby's ticket with the person.

Any ideas? Please help people. I am running out of time.
I think the cheapest option for u is to pay the $305.60 . Finding someone that will accept for you to attach a ticket to theirs could be an uphill task considering that people will not agree to help you with a bag needless say a human being. You may get stressed trying to find someone that will help out. Travelling with infants is stressful already then u want to add hunting for a good samaritan? lipsrsealed Pay what that lady told u. If there is any challenge, the airline will bear it. Just request for their supervisor and do not pay a dime extra. Or better still explain to the lady that u already have an infant attached and ask if this will be a problem. Sometimes cutting corners and trying to get something cheaper may end up actually costing more in terms of real cost. My own stand on the issue. Don't suffer ursef at the airport o o. Do u understand the pressure you will find ursef if you are yet to get someone that will agree and check in closes in less than 30 mins? Well, with God all things are possible but HE gave us a brain for a reason.
