I am just curious with the trend these days that most miracles are staged, but what happens to us if we publicly condemn a genuine miracle orchestrated by God himself through His Spirit, will that incur the wrath of God?
Like this miracle?? grin

Amazing! The Romans invented Jesus from all the knowledge they stole from various other gods and cleverly invented Jesus and spread it around the world.

I guess the question now is, why they'd bother to provide you a book to learn about it from if their intention was to control you. You did say reading it sets you free! Are you claiming the "clever Romans" were not clever enough to know it would set you free perhaps?
I have told you before,if you have problems of comprehension I am not the one to help you.
You said I said the Bible sets you free? Are you sure you are not mixing me up as someone else?
Today is the first day I have been engaged by you and quite honestly it has not been a pleasant experience.

Yes, actually, you do "cherry pick what each Bible passage means" unless you haven't developed your brain yet and need someone to interpret it to you. Jesus cherry picked when he worked on the Sabbath.

When you grow up, you too would stop believing childishly because you should have developed the ability to understand and discern for yourself.

The bible was influenced by the culture and tradition of the writers. That is one of the reasons I don't believe it's divinely inspired. Paul's language against women was just too harsh. If he is to write the letters in this 21st century, his letters will have been different.

1 Corinthians 14:34-35 KJV
Let your women keep silence in the churches: for it is not permitted unto them to speak; but they are commanded to be under obedience, as also saith the law. [35] And if they will learn any thing, let them ask their husbands at home: for it is a shame for women to speak in the church.

Voicing this statement without proof is one of the fallacious statements embedded in the Bible. As I always advise Christians learn to read your Bibles. Do not listen to what your pastor says.
In conclusion NO WOMAN who has ever read the Bible and understands what she read can EVER want to be a Christian or ever try to defend the Bible which is one of the most SEXIST books ever written with the aim to keep women subjugated.

There is a video on the internet of a silly w/woman looking for the fruit of the womb. In her search she fell into the trap of a charlatan pastor, who asked her to strip naked, lie flat on her back on a bed and spread her legs wide. The charlatan then stripped himself naked and inserted his member into her,While telling her to keep repeating the phrase:-"Annointing enter me,Annointing enter me......"
The evil pastor filmed the whole show and uploaded it on the world wide web.

Majority of the leaders of the church know that the concept of heaven and hell are not real. They know that religion is the greatest scam ever sold to mankind but they persist to sell the falsehood to the mindless followers because it helps to mind control as well as being a business and a source of lively hood.
This Amure woman is small fry besides a woman called Katty Kerr who has built a complete industry from propagating a visit to heaven and meeting Jesus. grin

GreatResearcher:
Where did the Stories About Jesus Come From?

The New Testament

The hundreds of documents about Jesus, all contradictory in style and content, derived from multiple physical locations. The disparate stories, all of which use pagan and roman myths interwoven with typical Greek god-man stories, hint to us that the entire escapade is the result of historical revisionism.

In other words, stories about Jesus spread as a result of a single preacher, perhaps St Paul (who never met Jesus and probably never really met the disciples) and people merely (in typical fashion for the era) rewrote older stories but now put Jesus at the core of them, just as happened with other Roman gods and heroes.

Hence, a new religion sprung out of thin air, fooling many into thinking there was an actual historical figure. Once this process had started at the end of the first century, it was already impossible for anyone to go back and verify the stories.

Good work and well researched. The problem with Christians is their refusal to read the Bible and their refusal to do any research on the Bible. All they rely on is blind faith and emotion.
Christianity was a weapon used by the Roman Emperor Constantine and his mother St Helena to subjugate the people of the times. None of the Christ saviour stories are real but weapons of mind control.
The cross as a symbol of Christianity was introduced by Helena. People need to think and research these things.
Paul who wrote extensively on Christianity NEVER mentioned anything about a virgin birth. The gospel of Mark which was the earliest gospel does not mention any virgin birth. The virgin birth is a latter insertion by the authors of the later written gospels of Luke and Mathew. This virgin birth story was stolen from pagan virgin birth stories of numerous sons of gods that preceded Christianity such as Hermes,Asclepius,Serapis and Zeus.
Even the festival of Christmas to commemorate the birth of Jesus was stolen from the Roman pagan sun God Sol Invictus.
Even the Resurrection stories were lifted from pagan gods like Osiris,Tammuz, and Adonis.
While there might have existed an itinerary teacher called Jesus,it is important to note that the Jesus of the Christian Bible is a clever invention of the Romans.

By the way @ OP,Techcapon, this your story took place in 2012 and has since been overtaken by events as you can see below:-

Convicted cop killer Anthony Haynes turned down by Supreme Court
Keri Blakinger | on January 14, 2019
_______________________________________________
Anthony Haynes, 33, was granted a stay of execution on Thursday, Oct. 18. 2012, for killing an off-duty Houston police sergeant.

A death row inmate convicted of killing a Houston police officer nearly two decades ago could be one step closer to an execution date after the Supreme Court turned down his latest appeal.

Anthony Haynes narrowly avoided the death chamber seven years ago with a last-minute stay over claims his case was tainted by bad lawyering. Again, concerns about ineffective attorneys landed him in front of the Supreme Court last year - but this time the justices didn't lean in his favor.

The high court without comment rejected the 39-year-old's appeal on Monday. He's now eligible for an execution date.

Defense attorney Richard Ellis said he was "very disappointed" with the court's decision, pointing out that the lower court was split on whether to deny his client's appeal last year, and that one judge penned a "vigorous dissent" showing how the case "never had the review that the Supreme Court itself requested."

The Harris County man was 19 and on meth in May 1998 when he and two friends started driving around town in his father's pick-up, sticking up some pedestrians and making off with their wallets, according to court records.

Later in the night, the group drove by off-duty Houston police Sgt. Kent Kincaid and his wife, who were on their way to a sports bar. Something cracked the couple's windshield - and Kincaid realized it was a bullet.

Out of uniform, Kincaid pulled over and climbed out to approach Haynes, asking to see his drivers' license, according to court records.

"You hit my window," Kincaid told him. Haynes responded that he "accidentally threw something" at the window. The officer reached back to get his police ID - but Haynes opened fire, hitting Kincaid in the head then fleeing, according to court records. He was arrested afterward when police traced the truck back to his father.

Haynes later confessed to the slaying, but said that he didn't know Kincaid was a police officer - a key element in making the killing into a capital crime.

Nonetheless, he was sentenced to death and nearly executed in 2012. Two hours before he was to die, the Supreme Court granted a stay over claims of ineffective attorneys earlier in the case.

His appeals team argued that better lawyers earlier on could have shown that he wasn't likely to be a future danger and could have lived the rest of his life in prison without posing a threat.

For the past seven years, his appeals have continued winding through the courts, finally ending up back in front of the Supreme Court in the fall, again over claims of bad lawyering.

This time, Ellis argued that the court had never really examined the underlying facts since the last execution date, and he brought up the nearly 40 witnesses who would have been willing to testify on his behalf had the trial team not been so "massively" deficient.

The state responded with a filing asking the Supreme Court not to greenlight the appeal, calling the claims "procedurally unsound and meritless."

Currently, Ellis said, Haynes does not have any pending appeals.

For those who call themselves atheists and don't believe that God exists, this true life story which is indeed a miracle that stunned the world will definitely change your mind
I am really confused about this part of the OP.
How does this story of a criminal escaping justice for killing an innocent policeman who was only doing his duty convince an atheist that a god or any god exists?
On the contrary this story is more likely to make the atheist doubt the existence of any god because of the stark injustice in the story:-The criminal gets away while the innocent man dies.
HOW IS THAT JUST? WHAT KIND OF A GOD DISPENSES THAT KIND OF JUSTICE? undecided

Nice one.

But I have a simple answer to that...in a situation where 8 out of 10 people believe in same GOD I will rather go with the 8 and damn the consequence.

Statistically speaking, muslims and Christians make up the larger % IF the world's population Nd the two believe in one GOD CALLED JEHOVAH IN HEBREW AND ALLAH IN ARABIC.

Based on logic,i chose to believe in Jesus because both Bible and Qur'an believe in him.

I have also heard countless revelations of GOD and Jesus so I'm cool taking the risk with believing in GOD n Jesus but if I die and find out I am wrong, I'm ready to face the consequence with other several billions of people.
Be honest man,you only believe I'm Jesus and the Hebrew God because it was the religion of your parents.
And quite frankly none of What you wrote up there proves the existence of any God nor heaven or hell, though I like the fact that you admit you are taking a risk and gambling on Jesus. grin
Some religionists have been known to claim to hear voices in their head and attribute it to some kind of god.
