Education / 5 Categories Of Students Who Will Benefit From ASUU Strike by Dapromzy333(m): 9:07am On Sep 30, 2018
We posted earlier that ASUU will Embark On A Warning Strike Along with The Nigerian Labour Congress NLC.

So we decided to compose this topic

5 Categories Of Students Who Will Benefit From ASUU Strike

Good Thing About The ASUU Strike

Back to the topic at hand; five set of persons that will benefits from ASUU Strike. It is certain that this ASUU strike is a dream come true for so many persons knowingly or unknowingly. Quickly, here are those who will benefit from the Strike action announced by ASUU:

1. Those Who Are Tired Of School:

So many students are on this table I am shaking. For one or two reasons, they are just tired of school and need some time to think about their life.

If the reason you are tired of school is to discover and maximise your potential, review your life, think about how to be a better student, or up to something good, then ASUU strike is the best time.

2. Those With Withheld Waec Results:

These persons are somehow in the same shoes with the guys using Neco awaiting results. However, they are more uncertain than them

The west African examination council promised to released withheld results soon. If you are sure that no malpractice was recorded in your centre then there is every probability that your results will be out soon. If the strike persists then better for your admission screening.

3. STUDENT BLOGGERS:

To student bloggers, school has been a big distraction. You hardly focus on your blog while school is in session (unless you want some Fs). We always pray for holidays to come; and now something bigger than holidays is here.

Are you a student blogger, write as many posts as possible and drive as many traffic as you can. In fact, make money writing posts on ASUU strike. But: Don’t copy my articles ooo.

4. THE HUSTLER:

So many students bear the burden alone; while few are learning skills so as to be independent. School sometimes distracts you from hustling. Because money must be made, you need time to enter street and make cool cash. ASUU has given you a golden opportunity.

Whichever way, if you have one or two personal projects you are working on, then you need time out of school to prove yourself. Ensure to maximise your potential this period.

5. THOSE WHO NEED TIME TO STUDY:

School even distracts you from some academic activities. For serious academic development, you need to go beyond what you are being taught in school.

This is time to do that. If you have courses to cover, then quickly do that now. Remember, it is not what you score in class that matters but what you finally score in life.

Education / OAU Student Seeks Justice As Lecturer Stops Her From Writing Exam After Flirting by Dapromzy333(m): 2:26pm On Sep 10, 2018
A lecturer of the Obafemi Awolowo University identified as Mr Hezekiah aliyu has been called out for allegedly  harassing a female student and also stopping her from writing her exams.

A student of the institution took to Facebook to share an incidence that happened between his female friend and a Lecturer, according to his post, his friend was sitting outside the exam hall waiting for her next paper which was scheduled for 12 noon, when a lecturer walked up to her and was trying to strike a conversation with her.

The female student allegedly asked who he was and the lecturer got angry and told her to leave that premises, but she reportedly ignored him and stood still, then the man called the school Security Officials to lock her up, the time the event took place was about 11:28, so she pleaded with them that she has an exam to seat for by 12 noon but they ignored her plea and locked her up.

According to him, the female student didn't know he was a lecturer since he was reportedly flirting with her.

The student is seeking for justice, because his friend missed her exams that was supposed to hold by 12 noon. In his final statement, he left ome rhetorical questions, he wrote; "Is it an offence to ask who you are when the person(lady) you are talking to doesn't know who you are? Is it an offence to be given a right to her exam inspite of whatever circumstances? Are the security not supposed to question both parties instead of melting out injustice because she is a student and he a staff? What happened to right of fair hearing? The university is messed up,OAU is messed up,we want justice cos this has not only physical impact but a great setback and injustice to the girl in question?"

Education / Re: 10 Ways To Calm Your Nerves Before You Make A Presentation by Dapromzy333(m): 11:45am On Sep 09, 2018

Education / 10 Ways To Calm Your Nerves Before You Make A Presentation by Dapromzy333(m): 11:41am On Sep 09, 2018
Speaking in front of other people—even a small group—can be nerve-wracking. You feel anxious, terrified that you'll make a fool of yourself. While the butterflies may never go away completely, there are still some things you can do to help clear your head before your big moment.

1.Practice.

Naturally, you’ll want to rehearse your presentation multiple times. While it can be difficult for those with packed schedules to spare time for practice, it’s essential if you want to deliver a rousing presentation. If you really want to sound great, write out your speech rather than taking chances winging it.

Try to practice where you’ll be delivering your talk. Some acting strategists suggest rehearsing lines in various positions–standing up, sitting down, with arms open wide, on one leg, while sitting on the toilet, etc. (OK, that last one may be optional.) The more you mix up your position and setting, the more comfortable you’ll feel with your speech. Also try recording your presentation and playing it back to evaluate which areas need work. Listening to recordings of your past talks can clue you in to bad habits you may be unaware of, as well as inspiring the age-old question: “Is that what I really sound like?”

2.Transform Nervous Energy Into Enthusiasm.

It may sound strange, but I’ll often down an energy drink and blast hip-hop music in my earphones before presenting. Why? It pumps me up and helps me turn jitters into focused enthusiasm. Studies have shown that an enthusiastic speech can win out over an eloquent one, and since I’m not exactly the Winston Churchill of presenters, I make sure that I’m as enthusiastic and energetic as possible before going on stage. Of course, individuals respond differently to caffeine overload, so know your own body before guzzling those monster energy drinks.

3.Attend Other Speeches.

If you’re giving a talk as part of a larger series, try to attend some of the earlier talks by other presenters. This shows respect for your fellow presenters while also giving you a chance to feel out the audience. What’s the mood of the crowd? Are folks in the mood to laugh or are they a bit more stiff? Are the presentations more strategic or tactical in nature? Another speaker may also say something that you can play off of later in your own presentation.

4.Arrive Early.

It’s always best to allow yourself plenty of time to settle in before your talk. Extra time ensures you won’t be late (even if Google Maps shuts down) and gives you plenty of time to get adapted to your presentation space.

5.Adjust to Your Surroundings.

The more adjusted to your environment you are, the more comfortable you’ll feel. Make sure to spend some in the room where you will be delivering your presentation. If possible, practice with the microphone and lighting, make sure you understand the seating, and be aware of any distractions potentially posed by the venue (e.g., a noisy road outside).

6.Meet and Greet.

Do your best to chat with people before your presentation. Talking with audiences makes you seem more likeable and approachable. Ask event attendees questions and take in their responses. They may even give you some inspiration to weave into your talk.

7.Take Deep Breaths.

The go-to advice for jitters has truth to it. When we’re nervous, our muscles tighten–you may even catch yourself holding your breath. Instead, go ahead and take those deep breaths to get oxygen to your brain and relax your body.

8.Smile.

Smiling increases endorphins, replacing anxiety with calm and making you feel good about your presentation. Smiling also exhibits confidence and enthusiasm to the crowd. Just don’t overdo it–no one enjoys the maniacal clown look.

9.Work on Your Pauses.

When you’re nervous, it’s easy to speed up your speech and end up talking too fast, which in turn causes you to run out of breath, get more nervous, and panic! Ahh!

Don’t be afraid to slow down and use pauses in your speech. Pausing can be used to emphasize certain points and to help your talk feel more conversational. If you feel yourself losing control of your pacing, just take a nice pause and keep cool.

10.Drink Water.

Dry mouth is a common result of anxiety. Prevent cottonmouth blues by staying hydrated and drinking plenty of water before your talk (just don’t forget to hit the bathroom before starting). Keep a bottle of water at arm’s reach while presenting in case you get dry mouth while chatting up a storm. It also provides a solid object to hurl at potential hecklers. (That’ll show ‘em.)

Finally, when you’re on that podium trying to make a presentation, find some way to move around and remind yourself that everyone is weird—including the people watching you. It's usually an aspect of our humanity that we forget as we approach the podium, and instead we perceive ourselves speaking to perfect individuals that will criticize our every move. It's one of the reasons that picturing your audience naked is one of the most classic of tips. It makes them vulnerable, not you. However you choose to make that presentation, ensure you get your message out there with confidence.

Family / Man Sends A Shocking-emotional Birthday Message To Wife by Dapromzy333(m): 11:44pm On Aug 08, 2018
A very emotional video for a birthday message as seen on facebook is currently trending online where a man named Fidelis Ozuawala decided to share the emotional and lovely birthday wish to his wife and mother of one, Exodus Fidelis Odion who celebrates yet another fruitful birthday on 09/08/2018.

The caption to the original video on Fidelis' facebook profile, may seem very contradictory to what would be the video's content, no wonder so much side attractions from far and wide went on for the video.

The caption reads;

it's good not to take family issues to Facebook especially when it's between you and your spouse, Odion Exodus, see this time around eehn, the whole world must hear this, am fed up trying to keep this out from public, i usually wouldn't want to do this, it's a long story, that's why i made it up in this 1 minute video so the whole world can have their say on this - Peace Out #FidelisOzuawala.

Now watch the video

WOW!!! that's way too dramatic, who could pull such on the public? while others found this too touching, some others are feeling this was just too much as in really extreme to show care, love and affection, did he (Mr. Fidelis) actually cry In this video?, well love works in mysterious and lovely ways.
