Anyone knows whether kpmg are trying to speed up recruitment process for those that had test invite this late August for possible September entry? Cos I know someone who did test yesterday and BAT today, documentation on Monday.. Is it possible they could be trying to speed up so everything can be done in time for September recruitment?
Yes, that are.

It happens like that every year. The closer we get to the date, the faster your recruitment process will go. Particularly if you are impressive.

CrimeRe: Kidnapper Caught In Lagos, almost Killed By Mob(photos, video) by dapyd1(m): 3:48pm On Aug 20, 2017
We have still not learnt, jungle justice is not the way.

Just because Nigeria is lawless and perpetrators of jungle justice are not arrested. In saner climes, videos shot of jungle justice will implicate everyone in it and you could face death penalty for murder.

The motive doesn't matter, killing someone for whatever reason is wrong. If 10 kidnappers escape, it's better than lynching one innocent person.

Whoever kills is a murderer, it doesn't matter who you kill. If you kill someone because he killed your relative, who kills you for killing him? For you have become guilty of the same offence you accused him of.

The corruption in the NPF is not enough reason for lynching. The decay of our legal framework is not a good reason either.

KILLING ANOTHER PERSON IS WRONG NO MATTER THE MOTIVE, ONLY THE STATE HAS THE RIGHT TO SENTENCE SOMEONE TO DEATH
CultureRe: Ooni Of Ife, Ogunwusi, Playing Football Amidst Marriage Crash Rumors by dapyd1(m): 12:50pm On Aug 20, 2017
No one, absolutely no one has been able to prove this marriage scandal claims, yet the Nigerian media is calling it a scandal. Do you know what a scandal is?

Does the Ooni have issues in his personal life? I don't know. I don't care even.

I'm just pointing to the gullibility of the populace and the total unprofessional attitude of the Nigerian (so called) journalists.

NUJ, you have work to do. Your institution is fast becoming a joke.

Sometimes, I wonder if Nigeria is in the same planet with some of these countries. They seem to be going forward and we, backward.

We claim to be godly and religious. Ironically, the more the churches and mosques in Nigeria, the higher the crime rate, hypocrisy, tribalism and hatred. It's annoyingly funny.

No country (not even Israel, God's own country), can develop when religious centres are more than Industries. None. Nigeria won't be the first.

We don't want Fayose or any other sitting or former governor for that matter. All of them failed, woefully.
PoliticsRe: 2019: Why PDP Is Yet To Endorse Fayose For President – Makarfi by dapyd1(m): 11:31am On Aug 20, 2017
This post shows exactly what the politicians see us as. Bunch of gullible people who don't know what they want. They think we are stupid. Why? Because we fall for the same gimmick year after year after year.

I implore you Nigerians, please let's take our future into our hands.

1. Never you vote someone who cannot tell us what he wants to achieve, how long it will take to achieve it and how he will achieve it. Not all these nonsense manifesto of N1=$1

2. If you cannot stand and debate in front of other contestants, fielding questions and firing back, we don't want you. What are you afraid of?

3. If you have held any elective or appointee posts since Nigeria's inception and did not perform to expectation, we don't want you.

4. If you have any criminal record, or allegations yet to be resolved, we don't want you.

5. You must have antecedents. Show us corporations, NGOs, society groups, that you have led or partook in with a success story.

6. If you have not led a good life and profession, we don't want you.

Nigerians, the time to act is now. Let's stop these guys from taking us for a ride. Again.

I'll conclude Nigerians are the problem of Nigeria if in 2019 we vote one of these old cargo again after what we have faced since 1999

It's one thing for a politician to rig elections, it's another for us to vote someone who has failed woefully in the past by ourselves.
Christianity EtcRe: Importance Of Restitution - Case Study Of Juliana Olayode (aka Toyo Baby) by dapyd1(m): 11:22am On Aug 20, 2017
SHE LIED

Restitution does not equate to lying.

If I steal a phone from someone. I later give my life to Christ and I want restitution. I apologize to the person and return the phone (if possible). I believe in Romans 8 that there is no condemnation for me in Christ Jesus.

It does not confer me the right to lie that I never stole a phone in the first place. That's the issue she is facing

These guys have abandoned security of lives and properties for so long.

It's inevitable that dire consequences will ensue. The populace have suffered the consequences for so long, it's about time the elite start feeling it.

If things continue like this, soon the life of a governor will not be safe.
Christianity EtcRe: The Essential Doctrines For All Christians To Believe by dapyd1(m): 11:08am On Aug 20, 2017
Doctrines have been the bane of Christianity over the years.

The reason why a celestial member will not marry a redeem member is doctrine. The reason why a Christ embassy member will not relate with a deeper life member is doctrine.

We have abandoned the message of love, of Christ, of unity and have carried on our heads doctrine of pastors and denomination love.

This has made Christianity a laughing stock, why conversion is low and the main reason the church does not have influence in world affairs as it should.

3 weeks after BAT and still counting. The truth is it's quite difficult to move on without a yes or no.
You should get a reply to BAT within 48 hours, it's usually in the mail.

If you haven't gotten your BAT result by now, you need to mail and/or call HR.

If you have gotten the result and waiting for documentation stage, then rest easy, you'll be contacted.

People aren't stupid. When spurious allegations arise out of nowhere during the election process, it will be glaring.

I used allegations mostly for politicians who have stolen common wealth without court conviction. All those ministers and former presidents and head of agencies. They are all alleged to have stolen, nothing has ever been proven.

Hello, how strict are they interms of the screening before the exams? because I was invited but the issue I'm having is in regards to my WAEC, it's 2 sitting. I just want to know if it's worth giving a shot because I'll come coming from a very far place. I don't stay around Lagos.

@guys that just wrote theirs, any suggestions?
KPMG does not take 2 sittings. It should be on your invite. If you want to risk it, all well and good. But if they miss it at JKK centre, it won't be missed during documentation.

I understand you didn't meet with the head of Tax after ur PI. Congrats on the offer letter.

I just wanna know - when are u scheduled to resume?
Send a mail to your HR contact. Remind them of your waiting status and ask when you should be expecting a reply.

Do me a mail too.
FashionWhat Are The Rules For Colorful Socks With Suits. by dapyd1(op): 4:39pm On Aug 01, 2017
Hi Guys,

There is an ongoing trend in offices today. Men are putting on suits with colorful socks.

The classic style rule says match your socks' color to your pants (for office wears), but these guys have broken the rule or maybe the rule evolved.

I've searched online for guides to this fashion style but yet to get satisfactory answers.

So, fashion gurus in the house:

Is it right
What are the dos and donts when wearing colorful socks.
Must the color of your time show in the socks?

I like the style but I don't want to commit a major faux pas.

I didn't choose audit.

I have gotten my offer letter.

Na wa oooo. My school has sent them my transcript already. I even called the HR yesterday, he promised to look into it and get back to me

Could it be because I mailed them scanned copies of my docs instead of submitting it in person?

I have sent them mails repeatedly, yet no response.
KPMG can hang somebody in mid air for Africa.

Anyway, I will still try calling them today or tomorrow.

As an aside, have you done your AC? Were you contacted via phone before the date was fixed or they just sent u a mail? Did you chose audit?
If your school has sent transcript, that's good. Make sure it's acknowledged by KPMG. So, it's not just hanging somewhere.

Mailing of scanned copies doesn't matter. You will submit photocopies at the AC itself. Many people went that route too.

If HR said they will get back to you, they will. Just remind from time to time. But don't be a nuisance about it sha. Give some space.

I was contacted for my AC via mail. No call. No, I didn't choose audit, I chose TRPS.

With KPMG, you have to be patient. They handle a very large number of candidates. But your records are always there. So, no worries.

This is the critical stage, various stages are being conducted more frequently. If you've not been gotten back to for your next stage, contact HR.

Send them a mail, not a stinker o. Just an inquiry.
Also, get your transcript ready. We have a month and half remaining.

Now the KPMG/PWC headache.

Congrats to those who got success mails. For those who got love letter, the good thing about PWC is that you can try again. And again.

I believe some of you are in the EY process, I wish you success, I'm also there too. Using it to while away time.

To LaRochelle, I told you I wasn't blocking your space, grin. God did it. Congratulations girl.

Goes back to preparing for other interviews.

Brendaniel:
I still wonder why it is usually a girl's underwear that is always found as evidence for sex, is it that they do forget to wear it back or they intentionally just want a third party to know that sex was done at that place or they just want to put the man in trouble, i still don't get it, can a lady explain?
Because they remove it totally. In having sex in places like library, men pull down their clothes to the knees, women have to pull their panties off totally coz of the position of sex.

The excitement of escape might make her forget it.
BusinessRe: Wema, Sterling Banks Shop For New GMDs by dapyd1(m): 2:15pm On Jul 11, 2017
All this one is just to show that they advertised.

They have more than capable Executive Directors who have worked in the bank for donkey years and know the system.

All over the world, you rarely see people from outside take the rings of a corporation except in cases where the company is not performing well, it was taken over, liquidated or merged.

Sterling in particular needs a new direction. They've played at the lower tier for too long and seem to be comfortable there.
