Digitisation and removal of middle men is a very welcome development for our country. The latter especially has done too much damage. They are everywhere, they are the cabal.
From telecommunications (thank God for privatisation), subsidy, civil service to government hospitals, ministries and contracts.
On the other hand, we have more than capable hands in our own tech environment that can do these things. It's not a particularly too-complex thing for our techies. These guys will take this monies out of the country to their headquarters, which is kind of counter productive.
At least, mandate them to employ the services of a sizable number of Nigerians abeg.
And No, we are not doing contract. That contract staffing is a useless, wicked ripoff of the common man. |

Some people are saying the two don't mix above, but I just want to be empirical value it.
Tradition is not equal to religion.
As long as there is no standing rule on the god/God an ọba can worship, no problem.
Our gods in Yoruba land are actually a path to Olódùmarè (God) who is the Alpha and Omega.
The medium of worshipping is not the point, worshipping is the point.
Ọbas belive in God. Either it is through Sango, Obatala, Ifá, Muhammed or Jesus is another matter entirely. |

I know people have given myriad of advice and I am not even sure you will read this but,
First, you need to make peace and apologize to your wife. Why? What if she is telling the truth, you just raised a ruse for nothing. The doubt will be in your mind but just make peace.
When the baby is born, secretly do a DNA test. That shouldn't be hard. The result should inform your decision.
For now, make peace. Let her know you love her, and you are territorial. Wanna protect your own. |

minions: Sometimes I just wonder if I will ever get a job in this country. And all those advice about reading one's book and coming out with good grades, well, I don't think it works. At the end of the day, one has to cross these high hurdles of assessments and interviews. They don't even give one enough to write the exams. About 48 seconds for each question. And one has to work with fractions and decimals; multiplication, addition, division and subtraction; and the usual question of totalling the whole data in a table. I won't talk about the abstract reasoning, especially the last one with EY, after so many long hours of practice, one couldn't even boast of six questions. They just stay there on the screen staring at one and looking like product of alien machination mocking one's feeble attempt at decryption.
And each time I interact with these people, those who actually crossed these hurdles and got the job, they don't particularly strike me as extremely intelligent; just normal humans. I have never written any exam twice, but these aptitude tests, although very simple, keep making me reach for the earth.
I have been cheering up since May, 2016. Perhaps I will cheer up after letting it out. Each assessment, each interview takes a swipe at my confidence. I never should have wasted six years chasing a degree. Knowledge is power? No sweetheart, knowledge is power after you have made money, a lot of it.
Make una no vex I just dey weak and sad , had to let it out. Bro, I empathise with you. You said it all yourself, those who pass the test are not super human. So, what do they have? It's PREPARATION. By now, you must have written a lot of tests. Apart from KPMG, I believe others allow you to write more than once. Get GRE, GMAT and SHL past questions. Practise, practise, practise. It will shock you how good you'll become in a short while. Also, have you tried alternative routes. I want to believe you have been doing something since last year. If not, volunteer, intern. After doing this for a while, you'll be surprised how much experience you'll get and opportunities that will come. Getting a job in Nigeria ain't easy, but you will get it. Soon. Don't give up. Don't subscribe to the mentality of man-know-man. Yours truly doesn't know anyone, and I got in. Be good. |

Festusd: I feel people that got the regret mail are pple that regret mails were sent to after the online test before getting a success mail afterwards (stand to be corrected). The interview stage should be communicated by EY and not dragnet, so I feel the mail came as an error. My thoughts tho. No. I got regret mail. I didn't get the previous regret mail. |

Lirasg: I scanned and sent in my certificates for the documentation stage 2 friday's ago but I'm still yet to be invited for the AC, do you have any idea how long this might take or why the delay? Just follow what Tiwa said above. Also, hope you confirmed the receipt of the scanned documents, hope you didn't just scan it and didn't follow up. They'll call you when there is an opening for AC, just follow up from time to time. Maybe once in two weeks. Remember that there could be a lot of people ahead of you, and the officials to handle the AC (Managers and Co.) are usually busy too. Be good |

Mathicks: I was invited for an aptitude test, and it's tomorrow, at the KPMG tower. I have a few questions. First is, are candidates allowed to take their phone into the hall? I mean, after switching it off, of course. Or are there places where personal items can be dropped around the area or at the venue?
And also, how complex are the written tests usually like? Because it seems most people first go through CBT, but in my case, it's written. That's a whole new ball game. If I may ask, what position are you applying for? If it's kpmg tower, you should be able to find somewhere safe to keep your items. During AC, they provided a place to drop our bags and all. How difficult the written tests are is difficult to answer. Most of us here wrote CBT with a third party, Dragnet. Maybe someone more experienced on the thread can help out. You could also mail HR to ask what to expect (I don't know if this is good advice though). Be good. |

xbee24: Please I need clarification concerning the recruitment processes. Aside the CBT and the essay writing stages. What are the other stages and can they be carried out online. Why I am asking is because I based in the northern part of the country and travelling to and fro Lagos is not really funny.
I will really appreciate any kind response. Apart from CBT and Essay, these are the other stages. Business Awareness Test (BAT) - Use a PC/Smart Phone. Documentation - Can be scanned. Assessment Centre (AC) - Have to be physically present. Partner Interview (PI) - Have to be physically present. Each stage is dependent on passing the previous stage and time interval can vary from few days to many weeks. Hope this helps. |

woodcook: I understand your stand, not just you. Have you realized that in Nigeria we are raised to be sympathetic rather than just. We don't give justice rather we dish out sympathy and compromises.
Just think about this: Let's assume there are two guys in your area, Mr A whom contributes nothing but headache to the society and Mr B an everyday guy trying to live his life. A fight breaks out one day and Mr A happens to be at fault, if during the fight Mr A ended up killing/injured Mr B.
Mr A family will go begging for forgiveness. If Mr B family refuses, Mr A family will employ the help of pastors/Imans/Bale and the story will change into, "since what has happened as happened there is no need pressing charges. That Mr B family should forgive and forget". If Mr B family stands their ground, the new twist will be that even pastor, Imam and Bale begged them but they refused. It will be construe as a sign of wickedness and disrespect to the pastors/Imam/Bale and the perpetrator becomes the victim while the victim is being victimized all over again and the community will turn against them.
Being sympathetic and humane is good but we should be thought when to allow justice to take its course for the greater good of the society. Well said |

Crime rate all over the world is high. Things happen everywhere.
But in Nigeria, ours happen most times because the elite trample on the right of the masses.
By law, this man should have access to his pension after serving his motherland, it is his right. But No. One 30 something year old administrator will connive with politicians to rob his father's mate of his earnings.
It's not about Biafra or Arewa or Odùduwà, there are only two tribes in Nigeria, the elite, (political class) and the masses.
The elite (political class) incite the masses to fight against themselves using religion and ethnicity as an excuse while they feed fat on the common wealth. |

From contacting customer he will "graduate" to teaming up with armed robbers to rob customers. Mmmh, I didn't even see it from that angle. He was very unprofessional. Truly. I was just trying to be sympathetic coz I know what joblessness can do to you in this recession. GT will not take nonsense. |
