Lionessza6:List a country with significant Muslim population without violence (except it is 100%). South Africa is almost 100% Christian and atheist and migrant Muslims I would love to know how South Africans would fare if the entire zulus were Muslims.... Come back when you understand my analogy |

That means there would be 3 new Nigerian millionaires for a very 1 new Kenyan millionaire for the first two years from the third year it would be 4...do the math https://www.cnbc.com/2019/01/16/countries-with-the-fastest-growing-millionaire-billionaire-populations.html

Lionessza6:Lol... Tuface isn't Yoruba o. Infant idoma and Yoruba are as far as the sun from the earth... Idoma is the largest in the idomoid languages Niger delta is linguistically complex but no where as complex as the north.. Geographical Niger delta(second largest in the world) is made up of 3 states delta, bayelsa and Rivers.... Culturally it includes all south south states edo, always ibom, cross Rivers plus the 3 previously mentioned.... There are many ethnic groups in Niger delta... The edoid(urhobo of delta being the largest, Bini, esan, isoko, afemai, some ijaw tribes).... Every town, village and community in delta and edo state and some in rivers and bayelsa(yenagoa axis) claims to have migrated from benin city even some igbo tribes with no linguistic affinity .i used to doubt it since most of the languages are not intelligible except urhobo-isoko which form a dialect continuum. The part of my home town where I'm from is called aka(our native/very acient name for Benin city...it might have another meaning though). The best proof of such claims can be Bini(hare) - isoko(yare) - urhobo (nyare) - isoko proper(nyanze) - English ( come)... That is as far as it goes but not for urhobo/isoko which are both sides of a coin http://www.waado.org/Organizations/UHS/Debates/UrhoboBeninRelations/Omoigui.html There are ijaw ethnic group who speak 9 not so related languages from Rivers (differet ethnic groups here like igboid(ikwere, etche, oyigbo, egbemme),ogoni) almost all bayelsa, some part of delta and ondo Since there are many ethnic groups pidgin becomes convenient.. Pidgin is spreading from warri, yenagoa, port Harcourt and Benin city increasingly displacing native languages along its part.... My community in delta state for instance code switching is common between my native tongue and pidgin mostly among male youths but not female or children or elderly. Cross Rivers and akwa ibom are different ball game People in the Niger delta c pidgin as a brand and a fashionable stuff. Warri pidgin accent is the hardest with lots of slangs (#50 naira in Lagos is white/waso but Skye in warri and environs). I had to tell them explain some stuff when I visited. You can go around most places in Nigeria with pidgin English and every where in Niger delta with it(it might become the native language of those of us in the Niger delta in no distant Time) |

ibibiogrl:What about eket? |

TayserMahri:Please tell me more about my neighbours.. You obviously know them better... |
Lionessza6:Majority of the tribalism always ends on Nairaland. Those tribal slurs don't exist outside Nairaland... The only thing is actually religious intolerance which can happen anywhere in the world...india, Myanmar, Muslim migrants in Europe, China |
Lionessza6:Tiv are the largest in the middle belt(about 4 million people),idomas(tuface idibia),igala, alago, berom(largest in jos area) .there are way too numerous. Southern kaduna has over 20 alone... Some of them speak Hausa as a second language(common in North) Yoruba and igbo are mostly made up of ethnic speaker... Everybody in southern Nigeria speaks their native language instead except you grew up outside your ethnic homestead and you actually made an effort to learn the language(especially in niger delta) There is no specific day for cultural day... It is one of the many social events organized by private schools Do you people have traditional festival? Something like the eyo masquerade and festival of Lagos? |
TayserMahri:What ever rocks ur boat |
Lionessza6:One and the same |
Kazikazi:Dar es salaam is really beautiful.... It's little wonder you are number 1 tourist destination in the East of Africa.Lagos can learn a thing or two |
Lionessza6:Hahaha They have IMO the best and the most seductive tradional dance ever.... Back in secondary school during cultural day... They always one the best traditional dance |
Lionessza6:Really embarrassing I tell you

TayserMahri:What ever you posted wasn't agbada |
Lionessza6:Tiv people of the middle belt claim to be semi bantoid having migrated from Congo.black and white are yheir traditional colours ... I admire them a lot, their language has no dialect despite being about 4mill people strong

. Since you guys have Igbo , Yoruba and Hausa as the more popular languages, which one is more popular amongst those in the middle belt ?. When is your cultural day?. I have never seen any threads about it here on nairaland.
