Niorte: For those crying over edited pictures. Kindly take pictures of your own institutions too and edit.
One thing we can take away is that these pictures will definitely increase the image of UNILAG internationally. This is a good way to brand.
Unilag has done a good job!
Those shouting OAU is better; ABU is better. Take up the challenge and post your edited pictures. Otherwise, keep silent and appreciate good thing. Well said What irritates me most is the comments from so called Unilag students and alumnus |

NairobiWalker: They're slums too, I checked......and as much as they may not be as bad as some parts of Kibera such as Silanga and Gatwekera, they are worse than other parts of Kibera such as Olympic and definitely worse than other Kenyan slums such as Kawangware and Kangemi. Is this(durumi and mabushi) what you call a slum?

NairobiWalker: It's simply a corruption of English. We have our own corruption of English (Kenyan English) but we don't put too much emphasis on it because we already have a strong national language. You guys only have English, reason why you're struggling to have your version of pidgin recognized as a separate language. Our version, is there an original pidgin? |
Foreign Affairs › Re: Kenya Is Ahead of Nigeria In All Aspect (Facts Don't Lie) by darfay: 11:04pm On Dec 11, 2018 |
genieluv: Hmm, this is quite complex.
••••• Kazikazi is now saying that anyone who speak Swahili is a native swahili.
Aren't there people who identify as ethnic swahilis? It doesn't matter how other view them.
>>>> Take we Northern Nigerian minorities for instance, most Southern Nigerians identify and address us as Hausas, some of us have lost our native languages and hausa is becoming the mother tongue. However, we still never address ourselves as Hausa people.
***** Over 100 million west Africans speak Hausa fluently, but we know the true ethnic Hausas, they are barely about 30 million people.
Infact, at the end of the day, the subject of ethnicity is a complex one. People choose to identify themselves the way they like and we might as well have to accept them for what they say.
~~~~ The bone of contention here is saying that no one owns swahili language. Since no one owns swahili, then can we say it is sort of a pidgin bantu or creole language?? If so, why then are these coastal people referred to as Waswahili (or Swahili people)? It's really confusing. What state are you from? |
Kazikazi: If that area will split and form its own little continent the following might happen..
1. Starvation and tribalism will surge,and it won't be easy to get food aid.
2.Because of massive hunger,they will start eating each other...
3.Man eating man scenario won't last looong.One man will be left alone.Since he won't be able to eat anyone else, he will start chopping his own body parts for a meal..
4.Eventually,, this "last man standing" will cut off one hand for a meal.. Finally,while he is starving to death,he will utter his last words..
