Curtisaxel7: Sarcasm: "The use of words in an ironic manner for literary effect".
I apologize to those who MISUNDERSTOOD my comment on the picture of our hat trick hero Ibrahim Said.
My intention was to shame the tribalists by mimicking thier hate speech, indirectly pointing out that Said's stellar performance has proven wrong thier assertion that football belongs to the SE and SS. Said proved that the so-called "gworo eating Abokis" could play football too and excel in our GWG colours.
It is just sad that my tongue-in-cheek comment was taken literally by many even after my repeated explanations that it was meant to be satirical. I even left three emoji's below the comment in order to show that it was purely ironic.
But once again, I apologize to all who felt offended. May the grace to understand satire and irony fall on us all in Jesus' name. Apology accepted. However, I pray that the grace to choose the right moments (and issues) for sarcasm will be bestowed to you in Jesus Name. Amen |

A40: It's a code I can't get jiggy with sha. Unless it's your brother or in Amanda Nunes's case your spouse then I don't see the point of it. In DCs case he went to pick up two losses to Bones and in Romero's case he can't make weight in his division even for title fights. Makes zero sense that you're the only one sacrificing your career for said 'friend' (worked out for DC to be fair)
Dana White does not care for fight fan purists. He is always after what would bring in the most casuals. An Izzy vs Romero fight will bring in more casuals plus Romero is a credible challenger. It's a fight I wouldn't miss
I won't sell Cannonier so short but the thing I like about Izzy is this is the 3rd straight fight he's showing me something different and something I've not seen before. It's a sign he is getting better
That is the angle you are viewing it from. All I'm saying is a suspect chin can be hidden but exposed the higher the quality of guys you fight. Age and attrition can wear down your chin (cc Spider) but for a guy like Weidman it's clear beyond reasonable doubt that he had a glass jaw and only got exposed as he went along
Whittaker doesn't have or might not have a glass jaw same way George Foreman did not have a glass jaw as people wildly erroneously thought. Anyone can get caught in a fight, it's the frequency that determines like in Weidman, Arlovski or Overeem's case. Not just one fight
Fair enough. It could be so. However you have to consider that most of these fights actually get won and lost in the latter rounds. He slowed down against Costa (I thought Costa won that one easily don't get the outrage)
The more reason I need for Bones to leave LH. He has zilch left to prove. I know I will never be arsed to watch another Jones fight at LH. He's beaten every credible challenger in the division in the last decade. It's a year end, he's USADA free, healthy and still can't get a fight. No wonder he's all over Twitter mouthing off at Stylebender every other day
I agree there is a wider jump in weight than boxing but harder is a stretch. Both of Jones last two opponents were middleweights. Gastellum moved up. A lot of fighters have routinely pulled it off. Jones has the build to pull it off easily
Jones knows his fancy moves will be a lot harder to pull off in Heavyweight where a body shot can scatter all your well thought out plans at the drop of a dime. There are many older slower guys in the Heavyweight division but Jones knows the risks far outweigh the rewards
I don't want Stylebender anywhere near Bones for now. In another year and a half or so we can revisit the discussion. Right now he wouldn't stand a chance Finally, someone that gets it |

tglobal: It seems you are always set on blaming the NFF irrespective of whatever is done. I bet if Tammy himself had not openly declared that the NFF rolled out the red carpet for him, you would have claimed that no approach was made or worse still that a bribe was demanded.
What you never do is to admit the player's responsibility in determining who they want to represent. Why is it a problem to admit that the temptation to play for England is hard to resist? Will many of the home bred players not embrace the opportunity to jump boat if they could just like we see in other sports (track and field in particular)? Haven't you also stated this yourself? But no, the NFF has to be dragged into it.
The biggest gesture was made to Eze over two years ago when he was a nobody, by extending an invitation to him to train with the national team. You were unequivocal in stating your displeasure about this gesture. The player is apparently considering other options now that he is on the ascendancy and yet it is the NFF's fault? So you wanted him to have been cap tied when his prospects for regular international invitation was low so you can come here to regale us with how the NFF used and dumped him because he didn't offer bribes.
Confusion my foot. Why was Tammy not confused by the almost 2 years gap between invitations to the 3 Lions? The annoying thing is that England doesn't have to do half of what the NFF does to convince these players to play for us, yet we get disrespected by small boys. And yet, he will be quick to fault the NFF at every single turn. While I know the glass house officials are fantastically corrupt (so was Blatter and Platini), I must commend the present NFF leadership for their efforts in pursuing these foreign born lads. To say they haven't tried their best is A BIG LIE FROM THE PIT OF HELL |
