I predicted an emphatic Egypt win today but with what I have seen so far, anything can happen And I know a lot of folks here prefer we face SA in the next stage for 2 reason: 1 So we can beat them for bragging rights. If this doesn't happen, then Naija should just hide face from SA 2 So that we won't have to face the host nation |

Goke7: Just heard kanu's interview on radio. He said the boys were panicking but imediately they got their confidence back the game was there for the taking.
The question is why our boys so fearful? This was what cost the game against argentina.
Our boys were not this fearful under keshi and they are not as good as this current team
This is why i want rohr out. We deserve better My point exactly |

phamarsenal: My views on today's game - d super eagles won dis game due to dere determination, and grit not due to rohr tactical impetus, d only meaningful tin he did was to bring in chukwueze very early in d second half - contrary to wat pple might tink, dis Cameroonian team is not weak..they quite strong and very skillful unlike other camerounian teams hv seen dat depend majorly on brute strength d likes of bassong, njie, chupo noting are very skillful and really gave d eagles defence a lot of things to worry abt, dey lost today because dey met an inspired Nigerian team tbh. - Eagles attack came to d party today especially the much critised ighalo, u could see his intent right from d blast of d whistle DAT he wanted to shut up his critics tonight, d way he dropped off to d middle to take d ball and lay it off for his teammates rather Dan remain up top and be marked out by d physically imposing centrebks, to me was d turning point in dis match - D Nigerian midfield trio of nddi, etebo and iwobi really ran themselves to d ground today, I tink d reason why iwobi was not in d game in d first half, was because etebo and ndidi were not playing through to him instead deywere bypassing him wit hopeful long balls to d wings, he came to d party in d second half wen dey started working with him in d middle and he made a decisive contribution with DAT goal, to me it was a job well done for iwobi today. - chukwueze is a gem, d young man created 3 clear cut chances DAT should HV ended up in d back of d net, as for onachu I dont tink we have d players DAT can put in descent crosses for him to exploit, so I tink osimen should b a better option..all in all it was a good game for d super eagles...kudos We are on the same page However, the only thing I disagree with in your last point is the fact that Onuachu needs a decent crosser. As a striker, he needs to be comfortable both in the air and on the ground. Nice observations though |

I am the unshakeable Chriskels I am not erratic I still stand by my opinion of this team. Simple |

sontoly: To be honest this Cameroon too was very weak in group stage and still the weakest Cameroon team I ve ever seen, yet we still struggled to beat them. This means that we are not much better than them.
Our next opponent, if it will be Egypt is going to be tough. You are echoing my mind. You have just summarized my opinion of this match. We have chosen to be blind to this simple fact |

kingphilip: we really have a thin midfield o
And all this injury out of tournament is not helping matters
Our supposedly make shift DM in Awaziem is already a makeshift RB. Any injury to the midfield going forward will ground us unless we rush a recovering Collins back It is Rohr's fault for picking just 4 midfielders while poor players like Moses Simon and Onuachu made the team. But it is too late for all that now |

Since 1989 Cameroon have never beaten us through an open play ,yet you give them the edge just because you wanna stand by your negativity
My guy my guy
Smiles Cameroon qualified from a much tougher group with a +2 goal difference while not having conceded in any match The same couldn't be said of us. We had 0 goal difference and conceded two goals against a much weaker team. Lest I forget, we also have a poor coach. We had also beaten them before so they had a big point to prove |

Joebie: what's a fair weather fan?.. i've never stood against the team.. i've only called a spade a spade.. if they dont play well, I say it. Rohr does not inspire my confidence finito The match could have gone either way. But that was my prediction based on what I saw so far in the group stage. To them, calling a spade a spade means you're not patriotic. They just lack common understanding To me, we were very lucky today. I'm not taking away the fact that the guys fought but tactically, we were very poor. Rohr isn't bringing out the best from this guys. Whilst some of our players are average, a better coach would do better with this team because truthfully, Cameroon was equally poor. We better step up in the next round or we may be bundles out. It gets tougher from here on out |

TheSuperNerd: Nooooo.... But the likes of Darkelf and co termed him useless and contrubutes nothing to the team. Funny lots. Let me correct your assertion. I didn't single out Ighalo. I blamed the entire team except Ndidi. And truthfully they were below average during the first two matches and poor against Madagascar |

Joebie: Akpeyi had one shaky moment. It's guaranteed he will have one of those moments within 90 mins. I hope this AFCON will finally erase all his fear fear. After 90 mins we will know if we will meet the team Rohr has been dreading. I would rather love to meet SA, cuz we need to shut their mojths up for once.
Don't be so sure about that. Any team to remove a host nation as Egypt from this tournament should be respected and not underrated |

Joebie: after one match you will flip.. I still stand by my word, Rohr should go. However this was one of our best games since Argentina friendly based on how THE PLAYERS responded to being behind. There was no tactical change whatsoever than Ighalo dropping deep a little. Cameroon was poor. Gbam. You echoed my mind. I said it before today that this match would be one by grit and not necessarily tactics. Even though I gave Cameroon the edge, they were simply poorer than Nigeria in this match |

Let's offer them to Somali and Djibouti... Yes, I am one of them and I stand by it. If the Cameroonians had a better coach, they wouldn't have subbed out Njie. Our defence had no answers for him. While we celebrate our victory now, we will get it tougher in the next stage. We may not be so lucky. |

oloriooko: Seedorf made a massive mistake subbing Njie who was a bag of t ickery and was handful for Aina Ighalo came to the party today and he justified why Rohr has so much regards for him Iwobi was not in the game in the first half but woke up in the second and got an intelligent goal, he also sprayed some passes in the second half Overall seem Nigeria's best comes out against Cameroon If we fail to progress I think Rohr should be retained for further development of the squad I doubt Rohr can do more than this..
