Bolowolowo: Hopefully AFCON games will pick up in the knockout rounds. But these South Americans are playing with immense intensity. Very impassioned gameplay. You're right That's why we find it difficult against them |

Odunayaw: 2 afcons after 2013 (purposely picked this as a sample), eventual winners all started with wretched stats.
Any way, this is no prophecy concerning SE or whomever, but by antecedents SE can't be ruled out like its some Konami Cup on PES Okay |

Odunayaw: Isolated in what way? What I mean is; If we were to research cases where the eventual champions of AFCON had a poor start and compare to cases where the champion actually started well, I'm sure that the later would far outnumber the former. That's all I'm saying in essence |

Odunayaw: Same way we "knew" the hungry ones in 2013. What's different now?
We didn't struggle to get to this tourney & we're struggling (quite) at the tourney, doesn't that seem weird. If we had a form that got us here (even you would not tell me we met any team in the group that's better than Libya at least) & the form kicks in, what stops us from going all the way? You guys keep referring to the 2013 AFCON but that seems like an isolated case. There are far more cases of the eventual champs starting well than starting poorly. Don't also forget that the Burkina Faso we drew our first game against went all the way to the final after topping the group with 7 points. It is very unlikely that it will happen again with Madagascar |

elyte89: Number 1 question...yes our boys re average at best
Number 2,...Egypt vs Nigeria game is 50/50...nothing too special aside been d host, like I av always said ,na only eagles fit beat eagles(just like we did against Madagascar )
Number 3...dts left for d NFF to decide I agree with your first answer Your second answer: Salah would put the nail in the coffin of our boys. We don't have any answer to him. NFF knows what to do should we crash out. Rohr won't bring us titles. The limit of his abilities is qualifying for tournaments and that's it |

Danielnino00: Suddenly it's looking as if some people here have developed a deep hatred for the super eagles after the defeat...Either because of their dislike for Rohr or their desperation to see their prediction come to pass so they can tell us "I told you so"
Y'all better chill. The other teams at this tournament didn't come to hawk garri..they came to compete. .they came to win.... Its not like we have been winning the AFCON back to back since we started playing! We didn't even qualify for the last edition and now that we are back, you expect us to carry the trophy home like that... Based on your bolded statement, are you saying that: 1 Our boys are average at best? 2 We can't make it past the quarter-finals? 3 Rohr should remain in the event that no 2 happens? |

Curtisaxel7: Ladies and gentlemen, this is the end of the road. If we miraculously survive Cameroon, we are up against Egypt on home ground. And there is simply no bloody way we're getting past them. Not with a dumb archaic septuagenarian at the helms. From this moment, I don commot mind from SE and AFCON, I just dey wait make season start.
I only pity the young talented players (Osimhen, Henry et al) who are being robbed of the opportunity to use this tournament as a launching pad for thier careers. It's such a pity.
The upside to this is that the NFF will be forced to sack Rohr for disgracing us before the world. Bye bye Onigbinde! First bolded: That's my major concern too Second bolded: Lolllll Onigbinde Rohr |

Earthquake3: You listed qualities to succeed as SE manager but you didn't list the most important one which is the ability to stomach non payment, bribery and corruption and unwarranted influence from certain personalities
Any manager that does not have that capacity will resign within the first month of getting the SE job All you said is true and that is why I said that payment of salaries and allowances should be taken out of the hands of NFF and willing private individuals should step in. That way, they can use the national teams to promote their brands and the likes so that its a win-win for everyone. Because, even if Angel Gabriel coaches SE with all the non-payment/delayed payment, he/she will be frustrated |

comodo: Yes they hug the ball so much. Quick exchange of pass can easily disorganize a team. That's my worry and their off d ball movement is very very poor. That's why you see them waiting for passes to meet them against moving to meet the pass. Hope to see an improvement in these areas Very good summary |

theblackjack76: I'm hopeful myself. I believe the loss to Madagascar will inspire the team. But it may be safer for you emotionally and mentally to focus on Cameroon first instead of looking beyond the round of 16. You know, just in case! For one reason, due to the unpredictable nature of the sport. Just a thought bro! You people keep saying this but the truth is, you can't give what you don't have This present SE don't know how to play as a team and they haven't been trained to be deadly in attack. No matter how spurred they are, a blunt attack is a blunt attack |

Why must these UEFA coaching license carrying ex internationals of ours always wait for the NFF to offer them jobs? can't they look for any team to coach? even if it's NNL club?? George coaches Mallorca u-16 side |
