Hey bro. How do you manage go get this much and still sleep for 8 hours?
Days I net even 15k on weekdays, I get home earliest 11pm and if I want to achieve same the next day, I would need to leave by 5am like the previous day.

I know it's easy for people that have 5 houses in Lagos.

Let me learn from you.

Enough said brother....I think anybody viewing this thread gets the point...IT CAN BE DONE...as for the 1%, no one has the right to place anyone in that cadre but themselves...when I started driving about a year ago after I resigned my job, I had a few months to spare before completely setting up my business so I decided to drive. Believe me, I did very well, made atleast 10k everyday and I wasn't even driving full time..always closing before 4pm most times and starting like 8 or sometimes 10am..Bear in mind I had literally 0% driving on the platform yet with the info I got here and just using my brains, I was able to figure things out easily..Honestly most times it was just simply putting on my app and allowing the wind blow me to and fro..other times I had to position but honestly mostly I did nothing but to wait for request and if I stayed in a place like 20 mins no request I reposition.

Nothing is easy in life so any serious driver with guts and tenacity to work will make it...if my business were to pack up now God forbid, I will hit the street driving and be better off than some office workers. This uber thingy is not rocket science...its about a desire to feed and passion to drive.
I got his point. 120k is possible. But the business is dynamic. Consistency is Koko.

Paper projection and Reality differs.

There are drivers on this thread who have been driving longer and harder than me without result. Have you asked them?
How?

We were both on Nairaland till past 12am and I also saw your post before 7am.

It's now very clear to me that you didn't understand this post I made on this HP issue.

It's not for everyone but it's not impossible.
I have been proving how possible it is. I will never decide for anyone. After reading my thoughts on this, he can decide. I even pointed out factors that must be met.

You are only attacking because you believe no one can make 120 weekly consistently and I just told you it's a big lie. Where it's 0.1% or 1% the fact remains that it is possible.

That Is what I will keep Nacking on your head. You don't get to choose who qualifies to be among the 1%. Some newbies are already among the 1% before they even touch car key.

How many drivers on rental even meet up? The primary difference between rental drivers and HP drivers boils down to who is solely responsible for car maintenance. Apart from that, there is huge difference.

That you have a wife that demands money and a son that goes to school or dstv that needs to be paid is no ones business. You chose that life.

There are people without such burdens.
The bolded is key.

Guys on rental profit which is money hold it's value.
Guys of HP profit which is the car depreciate rapidly. Infact May become a liability after 15 months.

There is huge difference between hp and rental.

Let me total all these extras you are claiming for you.
#76,216; in 8 weeks!
Let me put myself in your shoes.
1) For the two weeks I've had operational shortfalls, I have to make provision of at least #30,000 for the shortfall ( I'm talking fueling, data, feeding, hire purchase payment).
I'm left with #46,216
2) My son's school fees is #65,000
3) And we must eat at home. Madam must turn up. DSTv must dey there. IKEDC bill must be paid. I must reserve landlord's rent somewhere or else kasala go burst. I must set aside something too to repair and maintain the car (Oga Dru no go sell me Mobil 1 on credit)

How you wan make I take achieve all these, with the yeye #76,000 extra?
Most of this boys have zero responsibility

We don't even want December earnings. Anybody can be claim to be super edger with nov-December earnings.

Let's see 8 consecutive weeks between August-October last year.

I've done the combination for you:
Dec 3 - 10 125,273
Dec 10 - 17 126,900
Dec 17 - 24 151,909
Dec 24 - 31 126,698
Jan 7 - 14 129,912
Jan 14 - 21 135,524
Jan 21 - 28 71,079
Jan 28 - Feb 4 63,316

Even adding the best of months (December) on ehailing, you still do not have 8 consistent weeks of 120,000+ net earnings. And you are a professional - top 1% of all drivers.
How do you expect a newbie to do this for 2 years?

Do you understand now?
I am still waiting how he will gross 120k this week. Well, anything is possible. People never finish their salary

Good morning to those that belong to Pdp and Apc.

Good morning to some of us that belong to no one and for everybody.

Good morning to those on the fence.

Good morning to those thinking of joining the fence.

Good morning to those on the other side of the fence.

Why is it that MOST Lugard always don't want to hear story if their driver fall sick.

Is it not too harsh for Lugard to expect pay when you are aware your driver is sick and didn't work.

To the drivers. If you fall sick. Kindly drive your partner's car to his/her house till you recover to avoid story that touch.

Yes female drivers do face rejection.. Riders tend to think that it is a scam when the see a female driver on their app coming to pick them up .. And the riders cancel the request.. But at the same time they is a possibility of them making more tips than the male.
More tips Yes

.

It is very visible.. The example I gave about one of my uber customers justify his point.. I just wish at times my friend will speak up. But he told me that if he does speak a lot of uber drivers will come for his head... keep in mind all business analysis and sports analysis are good theory wise. But it does not mean that you can't achieve practicals .. Examples in my case, I have a female uber driver.. I don't think anybody would have hired a female driver.. But I did and took that chance.. The theory there was that a female driver might be more careful, honest and get more tips from customers.. The practicality about it is that you will never know until you try it. This is not like am trying to go to the moon .. What am putting into action is not a big deal ..
I know that your friend and he is enjoying 1 thing which I will not mention here.

Hard working female drivers make more money than male drivers but then they hear alot of stories and also face rejection.

Do you know that Local govt. is only allowed to collect only Radio and Television levy?

Those rogues who call themselves local govt boys are just taking advantage of ignorant Nigerians because we dont know our right(s).

Local govt have no constitutional power to arrest/fine motorist.

Just shakara them. They will run.

But then... drivers should always find "safe" place to park.

Here is a tip about trip to ikorodu.

Don't bother coming to ikorodu anything 4:30pm weekdays. You are likely to regret that trip if it's not a long trip.

The question then is "What is a long trip"?

I will leave that to the elders.

@Fahrenz, I beg to differ cos I believe they are not d same, unless he have negotiation that changes normal standard. You can't drive for 730 days without hindrance from nature or human, will the owner understand? Who take care of repairs? If he drove for 6 months, using his money to fix problem of 20, 30, 40k while keeping to delivery and something of 150k happens in between, what does he do? And owner is trying to salvage his investment with deaf ears. I'll advice anyone to stick to rental and allow the car owner take care of the car, if the load is beyond you, jejely drop it and move on.

Oyingbo Market... At night... Armed robbery.

Ishaga... Traffic nd bad roads

Lakowe.... Taxify does not calculate it well. They will pin a trip from Ajah to there at 1200. I tested it twice and thats a fact.
What part of Oyingbo and what time of the night are you talking about? Do you mean around past 12am?

For Ishaga and Lakowe. I have not regret going to those places.

its very achievable if:
1. You enjoy driving
2. You enjoy driving long distances
3.You know 80% of Lagos roads without a map
4. You obey traffic signs, rules and regulations
5. You have good customer skills.
6. You don't complain unnecessarily.

Higher purchase and rentals is the same thing. The difference is commitment to just one car. It's like marriage.

I know some might say test the waters first, but what water are you testing? Is it not the same 35k weekly rental is paying too? I will only advise you find a way to beat the price down, but if not, 35k is basically 5k daily. All you need to do is save 5k every day after fueling for the next 730 days. Make sure car owners money is complete first, before you start your own hustle. Nothing is impossible. Just tactics.
What are you saying sir? Are you "kidney" Me?

Do drivers on rental maintain car?

Hp and Rental is not the same bra.

The no 3 is very key. I remember I once complained here about Apapa. Ikorodu had warned me about coming in the morning but I didn't heed this morning. I was thinking if I rejected the trip at 5:48am (waited for rider for about 10mins), I might not get any trip to the Island by that time being a Monday (l was at Jakande, Isolo).

Seems asking for destination on the phone in the morning isn't a bad idea after all.

I will never again go to Ikorodu in the morning except it's from Ajah axis that I know the fare/distance will compensate for time loss.
ikorodu is not bad bro. I stay in ikorodu and I don't leave ikorodu without a rider everyday. It might take time but you will surely get. Atleast, you will get Ikeja

Drivers that want to learn should learn!

The inexhaustible list is;
Never Ever go to Oyingbo, Apapa, Ejigbo, Ayobo, Badagry, Ojoo, Mile 2, Abule Ojoo, Abule Adoo, Ishaga, Isheri, Epe, Lakowe

Save this on your phone. I test run some of them. If its not extremely bad roads, its heavy traffic, armed robbers etc. Thank me later.
That your coach must be a learner. What happened to Oyingbo, Ishaga, Lakowe?
