Let me say this for the last time. I have no issue for whatever amount Gazzus charge for inspection. My problem with him is that he felt that he shouldn't be part of the bargaining process knowing fully well his client have little Knowledge about that.

There is no other side of the story to expect sef. Gazzus didn't deny he charged for inspection and didn't negotiate price for his client.

As always, I have no stake in this argument but this is just false. He can charge 1m for an inspection but the only thing he's obligated to do is, you know, inspect the car. Nothing else. If he tells the client a fine price, that's out of his own good heart. He's a technician, not a valuation expert. His fees don't change that fact.

I have no issue with whatever amount he charged for inspection.

My opinion, should I take a mechanic along with me to inspect a car, after inspection he relates the state of the vehicle to me, he should be in position to advice me on what to do next, if the car is worth it or not. You factor in cost of repairs and possibly deduct it from the said price, with that you are able to breakeven should the seller accept your price.

Some cars fall within a certain range :
I will never buy a kia Rio for 780k with an engine and gear to changed within 6months. I will also not buy a civic for 750k with the engine and gear to be changed within a short time frame.

When someone meets you for a professional advice in a field he isn't vast enough, it is in your place to enlighten him or her on the intricacies of whatsoever you are consulted for.

Let's try to move on, it's a thing of the past.

Civic is becoming popular on uber/Taxify.

I am sure many of yoù drivers see it more around now. Everybody can't be wrong. Toyota Corolla started gaining popularity same way.

Civic is a strong car. Rugged engine and gear. The only disadvantage of civic is that it's low and it's sensitive because of the technology put into 06 model and above.

Don't give Civic car to anyhow mechanic. Give it to only Honda specialist to work on.

If you are driving civic or intend to get one. Get yourself atleast the Bluetooth scanner so that whenever there is an issue. You will know where to go.

Some mechanic only know how to fix suspension. Get yourself a good Mechanic.
