Nice post, but THEY should get ready for more reduction of fares. We haven't seen the lowest sef grin

With the high influx of corollas in the business, the only sustainable solution is to reduce the fares.... The more the riders, the more they can accomodate more corollas

And about 70% of drivers are on rental.... What do you expect? grin

Believe you me, in this present situation, Lagos to Abeokuta to and fro for 15k is very beautiful(Abi naa), but someday, it will go as low as #10k

After all, like someone calculated, fuel is 4k and you have 6k for yourself grin
Fixed cheesy

Ehailing is less than 5year in Nigeria. A lot have happened in last 2 years. Fare reduction is one and has its bitting effect in the industry.

It's sad that the low request ad earnings have made lot of Drivers to be desperate. Work ethics and standards have been thrown into the trash can.

The yellow cabs are facing a more harsh condition because of the rideshare app have taken almost all their customers but this people still have their standard/fixed price for Trips.

They don't say because they have not done any trip for The day they show now undercharge. These are babas that we see as uneducated. So why are the educated who offer a better service don't know their worth.

If the Baba at the peak of cab business don't have standard. Will uber and Taxify see an opportunity in the Taxi industry? The answer is no. What we would have, would have been the kind of Ogudu taxi. 50/100 per head.

There is more to consider before charging for a trip. It's not just about the fuel. Know your worth.

I never disrespected his decision. The problem I have with him is saying boys are spoiling business and that they accept those kind of trips because it is not their car. Read up on the conversation from the beginning, then come and read your comments again
I repeat it's cheap and it's spoiling business.

THE EFFECTS OF E-HAILING ON DRIVERS IS REALLY DEMEANING.
I can remember an incidence with a rider that negotiated a trip with the yellow cabs but stood their ground on N7k but TAXIFY THE MOST EXPENSIVE TARIFF charged N3,200. The trip is about 32km, now imagine how much could have been charged for a 120km return trip.
Low demand of yellow cabs didn't make them charge ridiculously, I guess they are professionals in the business and know the normal charge for certain trips. Charging for certain trips should not be for you to get PEANUT to eat but to sustain your tools incase of uncertainties.
That person calling drivers lazy because they didn't do your cheap trip should have gone to the charter cabs and see how much would be charged.
I don't blame you but E-hailing slavery mentality.
God bless you

The offer is to and fro trip to Abeokuta for #15,000.
I buy #3,000 fuel, I reserve #1,000 for my light breakfast and big lunch. I can be in Abeokuta in 2 hours. Return trip is 2 hours. I wait 4 hours in Abeokuta. Total of 8 hours. 10:00am to 6:00pm is 8 hours. 6:00pm, I've returned rider to Ikeja. I set destination and go home. Infact, forget destination, I blow empty go house. I check my wallet at home, #11,000 is smiling at me.
How many drivers made #11,000 after Uber/Taxify today, a Tuesday? Someone should explain what doesn't make business sense here.
Made more than that after fuel and expenses Oga.

If you handle your car well as a professional, nothing unexpected will happen. For instance, during last Christmas-New Year holidays, I travelled to Benin with my rental car. Called car owner before going and he said he doesn't care where I go to so long as his car is in good shape and I remit my rent. Which I did.

Travelling to Benin, I was on a steady 70km/hr on the bad portions of the express and 120km/hr on the smooth portions. Nothing unexpected happened. Biko, those cars are not eggs, they are meant to eat up tens of kilometers by the day. Our roads are bad, true, but a professional driver will still be able to manage himself through the roads without damaging anything substantial. There's a world of difference if you crawl into a crater at 2km/hr and speed into the same crater at 120km/hr.
Ok
BusinessRe: If You Are Uber Partner In Lagos, Please Share Your Experience Here by darmilolah(m): 9:46am On Mar 05, 2019
I noticed this trend. It's mostly drivers on rental that charge ridiculous amount of money for offline. I think it's because they are not responsible for maintenance of the car.

Before I can take any outside Lagos trip. I will factor in the cost of break pad, ball joint, tie rod, fuel, that day rental and my feeding. If rider is not ready to pay my price. He or she should move.

I dont do trip for earning sake. I take trips that can repair my car incase of unexpected.

More people lost their jobs in the past 4 years than the whole 10 years before it, so calm down. What has Osinbajo done that Yoruba's should be grateful for ? Build railways that Obasanjo and GEJ negotiated and paid counterpart payments with the Chinese? Girl we are talking about education, healthcare and economic empowerment to the Yorubas. What did they do ? Other than make dollars expensive ? Causing a recession and mega inflation, see I will not mind if Osinbajo and or Tinubu were really involved in the governance of Nigeria but everyone knows that Buhari and his caucus Cabal are the only ones ruling and they will show Tinubu and Osinbajo their real color after this election. Igbos can vote for their sons, their daughters, their monkeys or their goats, Yorubas are better than that, we should never reinforce failure, inefficiency, incompetence and must always ask anybody vote to shape up and damn the consequences. That is why we are called sophisticated morons, by idiots, because they know such thinking is sophisticated but because their and (maybe yours) understanding can't really understand or comprehend that point of view they add the slowpoke.
If n.a. play stop am. Was it not Jonathan that caused the problem we are in today. Don't angry me o

In as much as I won't like to dispute anything, I can only share my experience. I use S5 and when I started out, my heart beat anytime I'm on taxify trip, I realise it was because I always start the google map, so I stop starting it, but use the direction trace only and it work for me (Tried it over & over nd I was right about it). The few failed trip I got lately was somewhat my fault, I saw MTN advert of 2000 for 2.5g and 2500 naira talk time, that was how I let go of etisalat for MTN, the 2500 self I don't know if it is 500 naira per mins (it's just callingonniown), Network! Is like one IT student is using it to do practical, I'll on trip nd I won't see the network again, within me I'll just resign to fate, whatever the outcome.
This should be a good lesson for you. Don't trust anything cheap.

To the experience drivers here, please what is the best solution for app error especially when it brings extremely low fee for a trip.
As we know some of the riders can be from warri.lol
To all the newbies...

Get a good smart phone. If it's Android. The Android version should Not, I repeat should Not be less than 6.0.

Use 9MOBILE for data and maybe other network for backup in other areas that data is weak.

So why 9mobile?
All other mobile network timeout too often. But 9mobile is more stable.

Why not smile or spectanet?
They don't have wide coverage like 9mobile. You can be on trip an might have left the smile or spectanet coverage zone and you won't know. The end will be failed trip.

Don't use your main line to do data. Get a new line for your data. Put your main line in a small phone or another. This is because data will cut off when you are receiving call(s) and your trip will fail.

For Taxify. Once you are ou of data network for around 2-4mins. The app will shut down.

Let me stop here

There is a better road with less traffic, most of you hate that area cos you only go there thru mile 2, wrong choice!
Lol. You never jam rider wey get Kolo. No doubt igando is smooth and fast but what if rider say no that it's long journey that you are trying to make him or her pay more.

Why should I go to ojo online when I will likely blow back to Ikotun or Egbeda before I get request after drop off.
