PoliticsRe: Tinubu Is A Priceless Asset To APC – PMB by datribune: 10:14pm On Nov 28, 2016
Jagaban forever.
PoliticsRe: Presidency Blasts Galadima, Says Buhari Won't Be Alone In 2019 by datribune:
ndcide:
My point exactly. We can't be fighting corruption and be encouraging obscene cult like political patronage.

Okay buhari should start sharing money abi? I know APC and even Tinubu himself told us that everyone was going to sacrifice.

When Tom ikimi and others left due to the party chairman and other position issues, Tinubu and Lai Mohammed accused them of not willing to sacrifice.

Buhari says, he is for everyone and for no one. Yet you want him to bow to Tinubu.

Besides, Tinubu had the position of Vee pee after buhari was nominated. He gave it to Osinbajo, They gave his men positions in government.

If he wanted a direct position he would be given.

How on earth has buhari not been fair to Tinubu. What makes buhari selfish for pet sake?

What does Tinubu want. To control the Senate through his wife? Buy bringing someone who is a rep for Lagos state to become governor of kogi state? Isn't that crazy? or by insisting his candidate must fly the party's flag in Ondo state election?

Look let's be fair, if we see high handedness we know it.

Tinubu is not the alfa and omega in APC, the media is giving him unnecessarily large image.

You can't just suddenly start criticizing buhari because Tinubu is not chopping on your behalf.

We criticise buhari based on principles and development indices and that's what it should be.

Many people who worked for buhari even from CPC have not all benefited like Tinubu and they are not rocking the boat.

Criticising buhari because of Tinubu is senseless.
U see, Shehu Garba's tirade on Galadima appears to be like a pattern - PMB really doesn't appreciate those dat worked selflessly to make him.
Ar u aware dat d CPC was formed on Galadima's desk along wit his associates, long b4 PMB came to them looking 4 a platform to actualize his dream?.
Everyone knows. Tinubu knows & is not expecting Buhari to start sharing money. What people do not expect is d subtle attempts to diminish & crash Tinubu's political influence by aligning & actively encouraging dissidents against him. That casts d dissidents & those encouraging them as ingrates who ar biting d fingers dat fed them. Can u imagine dat in d President's biography, an attempt was even made to try & sow discord between Tinubu & Osinbajo by distorting d true story of how Osinbajo became VP.
I beg to disagree wit u dat "criticising Buhari because of Tinubu is senseless". I think it is d decent thing to do. Were such fate to befall even YOU, we will stand wit u & not allow anyone to denigrate u, while not expecting u to "chop on our behalf".
Your conclusions about Tinubu's place in APC is not well-researched. U don't hav to belittle Tinubu, whose contributions to d formation & success of APC is well documented by saying "the media is giving him unnecessarily large image". Let me be clear, PMB is President today because of firstly, God & secondly Tinubu. He was harassed like no other politician in 2015, wit 24hour surveillance of Bourdillon rd, because d PDP knew dat without Tinubu, PMB stood no chance. PMB tried this, three times b4.
Where were dis people, including those who seized d NASS thru anti-party activity, when in 2013, others were suffering persecution in their attempt to register d APC as a political party but now think they can trash Tinubu.
Pls, ar u better placed to know more than d 1st lady, who frm her vantage position has cried out that d President needs to change his ways by acknowledging those that worked hard 4 his succeess?.
Ar u aware dat in d Ondo debacle, Tinubu's man, as a democrat, ACTUALLY called to CONGRATULATE d alleged winner until when it became clear dat d delegates list had been tampered with?.
If PMB is being misled to try & curtail Tinubu's political influence, it won't work & it will be a grave mistake because to many, Tinubu is not just a man but an ideology.

So funny.

I see many of your likes with yori Folarin on TVC
And u think u ar helping PMB wit dis post dat portrays him in bad light?. Ur post is hurtful because it portrays PMB as an ingrate. Mister, u ar not helping PMB or endearing him to those who worked tirelessly to make him President but ar now losing confidence in him wit dis kind of post.

"1. the emergence of NCNC/NPC alliance to form the national government was not a planned or preconceived one it was as a factor of the parliamentary system of govt then in practice in Nigeria because NPC doesn't have the overriding majority in parliament to form govt alone winning 134 out of 312 seats & NCNC won 89.

2. SL Akintola's faction was actually the one that formed alliance with Northern Peoples Congress NPC to form Nigeria National Alliance NCNC. thus the shady way the prime minister Tafawa Balewa handled the Western Region crisis jailing pa Awolowo. Actually Zik formed Alliance with Awolowo not with the North. its your kinsman Chief Akintola that started the ass licking to score a cheap point against Awo

3. From 1962 - Civil war 1967 It was the Yoruba in alliance with the North and even when Awo came out of jail what he repaid the Zik alliance before the war was to suggest starvation as a strategy for winning the war.

4. Ekwueme/ Shagari ticket was sentimental by the Hausa/fulanis to use the igbos against the Yorubas who loved Awo more knowing that the Yorubas cannot support them. Ekwueme on the other hand is a nobody as far as politics is concerned in Igboland before then. the Igbo stood for zik & the few that think that he did not do enough doing the civil war were the ones that voted Ekwueme . Ekwueme/ Shagari ticket doesn't translate to Igbo/ Hausa alliance. Note that Ekwueme never held any Politically elective position before that time unlike Chief Akintola who was the Premiere of western region and led the Yoruba to the Alliance.

5. Why did u skip 1999 up to 2007. who gave Obj power and who was he in alliance with? who did he eventually hand over power to? I guess we all know, Hausa/Fulanis, Hausa/Fulanis, Hausa/Fulanis

6. At this junction I will simply place a link for every one to see the truth of the political alliance of the past which many know vert little about and judge for themselves.http://community.vanguardngr.com/m/discussion?id=4565467%3ATopic%3A842399

7. I challenge u to a logical argurment on this topic to dispute any of the above stated points"
1) It was not mandatory dat Azikiwe's NCNC had to form an alliance wit d northern NPC. It was a choice & an alliance of political bed-mates.

2) Why scapegoating Akintola when d two alliances, d NNA & d UPGA were based more on ideology than regionalism as can be seen frm their composition.
a) d NNA comprised of d NPC (North), NDP (SW), the Midwest Democratic Front, the Dynamic Party , d Niger Delta Congress , d Lagos State United Front & d Republican Party.
b) d UPGA consisted of d NCNC (S/E), AG (S/W), d Northern Progressive Front, d Kano People's Party, d Northern Elements Progressive Union, d United Middle Belt Congress & d Zamfara Commoners Party.

4) Ekwueme & Shagari were both of d NPN. I agree dat dis does not translate to Hausa/Igbo ticket. However, after winning d elections d NPN entered into an alliance wit Azikiwe's NPP in d NPN/NPP alliance which resulted in d NPP's Ume-Ezeoke becoming d speaker of d house of Representatives.

5) In 1999 -2003, the yoruba were in opposition as reflected by their unwavering support for d AD which stood as opposition to Obasanjo & his PDP. d yoruba candidate in dat election was Chief Olu Falae. Obasanjo was d PDP/North/S. East candidate. He did not even win his electoral ward in yoruba land. However, in 2003-2007 using his power of incumbency, he was able to make some incursions into yoruba land. Inspite of his incursions, his greatest opposition was frm yoruba land.

d S/E can revert back to their old political bed-mates in d north, d yoruba hav always been in opposition - no big deal.
It appears dat d SE has learnt nothing & continues to make political miscalculations.
First, it was d NCNC/NPC accord, then came d NPN/NPP accord.
For all their support, they got d position of ceremonial president in d 1st republic.
On d other hand d yorubas hav always preffered to be equal partners or they stay in opposition.
1) In d 1st republic, Azikiwe & d NCNC & Sardauna & his northern NPC had an accord wit Sardauna as Prime Minister & Azikiwe as President.
Chief Awolowo & his AG were in d opposition. (SW)
2)In d 2nd republic Azikiwe's NPP had a ruling accord wit d northern NPN.
President - Shagari
V. President - Alex Ekweme
Speaker - Edwin Ume-Ezeoke
Opposition - Awolowo & UPN (SW)
3) 3rd republic PDP S.E & North

seems you are mistaking Buhari and idiagbon's regime for Shagari and Ekwueme's ... all this things you have listed all took place during the first coming of Buhari...
No, not at all. Buhari/Idiagbon regime was a corrective govt which stopped d rot of d thieving politicians whom Buhari eased out of power. d corruption people talked about in d last elections, pales in comparison to what happened under Shagari, who though personally incorrupt was weak & allowed his partymen a field day wit d treasury.
While d people groaned in hunger, d ruling NPN stalwarts hoarded food & essential commodities in warehouses. When d army took over, they threw d warehouses open & d people had some relief.
That's why people who knew how General Buhari, during his short stint in power decades earlier saved d economy frm d precipice yearned for his return & ensured his victory at d last polls.

Ekwueme is deluding himself if he thought back then, after d NPN's total clean-out of d Nigerian treasury, d country could hav survived for more than a few months without our own version of "Arab Spring".

[b]Smh. I blame d military for not giving dis Pa Ekwueme & his then boss, Shagari, d " Jerry Rawlins treatment". Ghana dat suffered a similar fate like Nigeria, executed d crooks who raped their country to stupor. Shagari & his NPN kleptocracy consisted of d worst set of criminals masquerading as politicians who looted our nation to bankruptcy in d worst recession in our history. d thieving politicians looted dis nation to d extent dat no one would borrow d heavily indebted Nigeria any more money. There was no food, no money. Soap, milk, sugar etc popularly called "essential commodities" disappeared from d shelves just like in Zimbabwe. d federal govt could not pay staff salaries. Only few states were able to apply d IMO FORMULA - (half salary) pioneered by Kalu Idika Kalu d then Imo state comm 4 finance. Multinationals like kingsway, UTC, PZ etc left d country. Daily more & more people became unemployed. In short d economy collapsed. No food, no jobs, no salaries. d nation was a time bomb & a descent to anarchy was imminent b4 d army struck.
d day Shagari & his NPN, were booted out of power, was probably one of d greatest days in Nigerian history. Pa Ekwueme & his cohorts hav done enough damage. He needs to bow out & keep thanking God dat d army showed him mercy.

Okunrounmu is a nonentity in yoruba land & indeed Nigeria. Does he think Yorubas hav no mind of their own?.
Many Nigerians, not only Yorubas remain forever grateful to d Jagaban 4 breaking d back of d most profligate & corrupt govt in Nigerian history & 4 sacking d so-called largest party in Africa which promised to rule our nation 4 d next 60yrs whether it performs or not. Can u imagine what would hav happened to dis country if Nigerians had given GEJ's govt wit its pitiable record of corruption & profligacy & which as Okonjo-Iweala recently revealed was averse to prudent savings another 4 more yrs of lootocracy?. It simply would hav been a repeat of d Shehu Shagari years when even d federal govt could not pay salaries.
Ar their problems? Yes & that's as it should be, since like another oil-producing country Venezuela, we had a prodigal govt dat refused to save 4 d rainy day & diversify its economy?.
I am proud to hav played a part in sacking GEJ.

HOW BUHARI AVERTED DISASTER IN OGONI LAND!

If Buhari visits Ogoniland today and an attempt is made on his life, two things are bound to happen and both leads to only one end. One is to take him out using snipers or whatever and then what? The army will wipe the entire Southeast and South South off the surface of the earth. The army, Air force, Navy and all other security forces will be given a 'shoot at sight order' to keep shelling the entire region until nothing moves again, yes, nothing. The other is to make an attempt on his life and he escapes the assassination plot; either ways, the security agents will still kill everyone and everything. So, who wins?

No matter how it plays out, the northerners will immediately commence #ethnicCleansing against the #Millions of southerners in the North and the Southerners will also annihilate the #Few northerners in the South and a full scale war that is worse than the #Biafra cum #bokoHaram war will begin. Every ethnic group will take up arm against the other and continue to kill one another till the whole country is littered with corpses. Then the international community will wade into the crisis in the name of quelling the fight and take our oil and lands away from us. Then another round of #Colonialization will begin in full gear and the few ones that are lucky to be alive will become slaves to the West. Biafra is lost and One Nigeria is also lost. So, who wins?

Then 60 years from now, one of the few lucky survivors of the war will author a book with the title: 'There was a country' or 'Buhari's visit to Ogoniland: The beginning of the end of Nigeria'; or something like that. Again, who wins?

But after a deep thought, I told myself that Buhari was right to cancel his visit and take the #Shame that comes with it. He has clearly demonstrated a rare statesmanship that is worthy of emulation. The Buhari that I know is not worried about his life; he fought in the Biafra war 49 years ago. He is a war General who has seen death on several occasions. He is only concerned about the millions of life that will be wasted because of him as well as the aftermath effect of such bloody situation on the over 170million lives of fellow Nigerians.

Thank you baba for saving our lives. You have just earned yourself the title of 'The father of a new Nigeria! Shame on you #Wailers!

God bless President Muhammadu Buhari GCFR!
Thank u 4 dis post. My respect 4 PMB just took a massive boost. Not going to Ogoni land was a good call by Mr President. What u look 4 in a President is judgement. PMB has once again demonstrated good judgement by not ceding d initiative to anarchists. If PMB had gone to N/Delta & there had been even d slightest commotion or incidence when d C-in-C came calling, what would happen to innocent citizens in dat area is better imagined.
I trust PMB, a veteran of many battles who in our history has put down various insurrections to deal wit d NDA miscreants in his own time. Under dis President, corruption will receive a decisive defeat, no matter d form it comes. It won't be long frm now.

Lolz, let's just pray saraki employs diplomacy.

Did u watch senator Chris Ngige on NTA? With such arrogance, why wouldn't NLC walk out on them?

Truely, strike is not the option, but that is d only way the govt would have listened to the voice of the masses tru labour.

Why wouldn't FGN consult with major stake holders b4 embarking on their decissions?

According to Ngige, they placed the whole card on the table b4 NLC and wanted to negotiate with them on minimum wages that has been on the table b4 d fuel issue and was unable to shift grounds @all.

Removing subsidy was a good mood by FGN, but labour had to wade in, FGN increased electricity bills with absolutely nothing to show for it, everyone kept mute because we all knew that FGN needs money, but waking up one morning and increase petrol prices without consultations is absurd.

Kachikwu said, it was subsidy.

Vp osibanjo said it was not subsidy but lack of fx.

Who do we believe? It is better the labour tell them that we ain't sleeping.

Truth be told, b4 GEJ tried to remove subsidy, the organised a town hall meeting to explain to Nigerians the pros and cons associated with the subsidy wahala.

@least to tell nigerians that they care and know the sufferings we are passing tru, unlike waking up one morning and remove it and den try to blackmail labour with it ( court orders and NO work, NO pay).

That is not good. The subsidy has been removed, but what do u intend to do to alleviate the sufferings of poor masses?

Out of a country of over 170million, u singled out just 1million, not even upto 0.5% of the population where more than half are relatively poor, it makes no impact. However, we must start somewhere, but certainly not with the kind of arrogance exhibited by FGN on this issue.

@least, make FGN know that people are watching, so that they will do something Asap, unlike the case of electricity bills where no one queried them and den, they went and relaxed, even the light sef, we no de see,yet plenty plenty bills.
Is subsidy part of their employment condition?. Consulting wit labour b4 making a policy decision is not a right but just a way of showing courtesy. d main reason d arrogant Wabba faction walked out was because d fed govt also met wit d other faction.
d questions u should ask urself ar - did labour follow d laid down procedures pertaining to strike?.
Is fuel subsidy part of their employment terms?.
By disobeying d court of arbitration which is legally empowered to adjudicate on labour matters, did NLC not break d law & engage in illegality?.
Is d federal govt wrong to invoke d "no work no pay" rule on anyone involved in such an illegal strike?.
Ar u aware dat d problems of d power sector was compounded by d fact dat unlike doing what OBJ did wit d telecoms sector by selling to REAL investors, GEJ sold to PDP cronies & govt sponsors?. Pls be fair.
