The UNESCO Laureate while giving a peripheral profile about Prof Mrs. Olubukola O Oyawoye, said, Prof. Mrs. Olubukola O Oyawoye has benefited from the British Government Travel Fellowship to the University of Wales College of Cardiff, UK in 1997 for Ph.D. Research in water and environment microbiology, Third World Academy of Science in 1999 for the preparation and completion of my Ph.D. Thesis in Microbiology, Israeli Government MASHAV Scholarship to attend training at 4th International training in Food management.2007 at Hebrew University of Agriculture, Rehovot, Israel, Education Trust Fund Scholarship by Federal Government of Nigeria for Training in Post Graduate Diploma in Education amongst many others.



"She Participated in over 20 workshops and conferences as an advocate in water use, water sanitation, use of Moringa olifera in water treatment, breast milk, weaning food, etc in Nigeria and overseas between 1991- July 2010 for UNICEF, ATBU, and at academic conferences", he added.






Until her golden award, she is the Coordinator, (H O D) Biological Sciences Programme, ATBU, Bauchi, Coordinator, Public health, Community health, and Epidemiology unit, Biological Science Program, Chairperson Medical, and Hospital Board ATBU, Bauchi, Nodal Officer, University Servicom Service, ATBU, Bauchi, Member of various Committees in ATBU, Bauchi, Member, ATBU, Women Society Bauchi, Secretary, Nigerian Association of University Women, Bauchi Chapter, Member, BABCOCK CONSULT, Committee on Formation, Verification and Certification of Adeleke University Ede, President, Nigerian Association of University Women, Bauchi Chapter, amidst several others.

Reacting to the award, she expressed deep joy in her as she assured of her very best in the academic world pointing out that she has thirty years of teaching research and administrative experience.

The Nigerian Youth Congress, NYC, congratulates Muslims faithful within and outside the country for coming to an end of the rigorous spiritual exercise as they retire it with Eid. el-Fitri.

Further wishing that Our solemn festival of Eid will retire us to the blessing, peace, joy, and good health of Allah.

"On Eid-ul-Adha, wishing that Allah accepts our good deeds and sacrifices, alleviates our sufferings, and forgives our transgressions. The UNESCO Laureate while giving a peripheral profile about Prof. Patrick Osatohanmwen Oviasuyi said, Prof. Patrick Osatohanmwen Oviasuyi Ph.D., FCAI, FNIM, FPAM Prof. P. O. Oviasuyi is a seasoned academic, chartered manager, researcher, and Community Leader. He holds Diploma in Theology and Ministry from All Nations for Christ Bible Institute International, Benin City, Diploma in Sales Management from Burleigh College of Concise Studies, England, Diploma in Sales Marketing from National School of Salesmanship, England, and Diploma in Salesmanship from Managing and Marketing Sales Association, England. In the quest for additional knowledge, Prof. P. O. Oviasuyi attended the University of Benin, Benin City where he obtained the Bachelor of Public Administration (BPA Hons) Second Class (Upper Division) degree, and the Master of Science (M. Sc.) degree in Public Administration. He bagged the Doctor of Philosophy (Ph. D) degree in Public Administration from Ambrose Alli University, Ekpoma, Edo State. He successfully obtained the Postgraduate Diploma in Education (PGDE) from Usman Dan Fodio University, Sokoto. Responding to questions on how well he knows the recipient of the award, he disclosed that at the point he was shortlisted alongside others and forwarded to the global award committee for scrutiny, his profile was brought forward and a lot of achievements were revealed far beyond his contemporaries.
"And that's why we have honoured him", he added


Disclosing further, he said, Professor Igene, Ugbesia Fredrick obtained his higher education as follows; Bendel State University, Abraka Campus (BSc. Agriculture - Second Class Upper, 1991); Edo State University, Ekpoma (MSc. 1995 and Ph.D. 1999, Animal Science - Animal Nutrition and Biochemistry); Institute of Education, University of Benin (NCE Agriculture - 1983) and Certificate in the Basic Agriculture Study in the State of Israel (2017). Professor Igene started his working career as a Youth Corper at the Sokoto Agricultural Development Project (SADP), the foremost World Bank-financed ADP in the Country in 1983. He was a privileged Youth Corper, that at the completion of his service he was retained and offered an automatic contract appointment as a Technical Officer. He was honoured with this appointment for being the best behaved Corper in the ADP. However, for fear of job security, Professor Igene resigned from this exotic job to come home and take up an appointment with Bendel State Teaching Service Board in 1985 where he rose to the position of School Master 1 before joining the University in 1996 after obtaining his MSc. Degree.

He has published extensively (over 70 papers) in many local and international journals and books of proceedings".

H. E. Prof. Bashiru stated that the global recognition of
Prof. Ignatius Akhakhia Onimawo was strictly based on merit going by his antecedents.


Giving a superficial profile about the Vice-Chancellor, Ambrose Alli University, he said, Prof. Ignatius Akhakhia Onimawo started his working career as a Lecturer III in the Science Technology Department of the Federal Polytechnic, Idah, Kogi State in 1983 and rose through the ranks to the position of Chief Lecturer in 1999 before he left to join the services of Ambrose Alli University as a Senior Lecturer in 1999. In 2001, he left to take up an appointment with Michael Okpara University of Agriculture, Umudike, and rose to the rank of a Professor in that University in 2005.

"Professor Onimawo rejoined the services of Ambrose Alli University, Ekpoma as a Professor in 2005.

As an academia of very high repute, he has distinguished himself in areas of research and publications as follows:

"116 publications both nationally and internationally with 20 (twenty) in nutritional research to his credit;

"Has attended several conferences and seminars/symposia locally and internationally presenting academic papers especially in scientific meetings;

"Has attended numerous workshops and delivered Public Lectures globally in his chosen field", he said.

Reacting to the honour, Prof. I.A. Onimawo applauded the International Chartered World Learned Society team for the award and assured the academic space of his resilience efforts in ensuring that his impact is felt in the sector.

In a dire need to contribute meaningfully to the lives of those in needs, the Rochas Care Nigeria embarked on another surprise visit in Abuja, this time around to a lady who seats and begs for assistance from commuters and passersby around Standbic IBTC Bank that shares a link road to Unity House to assist her with food items to enable her to observe the Ramadan.

The industrialist is also a leader in the MSME space ie Executive Director, Association of Women in Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (AWIMSME), has been a stakeholder in the sugarcane value chain, producing VINAAG Natural Sugar Cane Juice with sundry innovative flavours.

However, because of the challenges faced by the MSME operators especially women, the enterprise is yet to blossom to its required commercial capacity.

Military Governor on Tuesday in Abuja expressed concern over the poor engagement of women MSME clusters in decision making processes and programmes implementation aimed at developing the MSME space. She added that inadequate patronage by government and other stakeholders to motivate and encourage them is a challenge for women in MSMEs. She therefore called on government at all levels, federal, state/FCT and LGA/ACs to look into the situation critically with a view to fashioning out ways of which government can create a mechanism that would inclusively and sustainably engage with women operating in that sector of the economy for national development.

Women, she added start their enterprises from family recipes in their kitchen but most times turn out to be commercial ventures that generate employment, but decried that most women businesses especially at the MSME levels are informal and unstructured which makes their contribution to the socio-economic development of the country invisible.

The beginning of information and communication technologies (ICT) in Nigeria dates back to the monopoly days of original equipment manufacturers, such as IBM, NCR, and DEC who either had a local presence or made products available through local dealerships/partnerships. The ALLIED PEOPLES' MOVEMENT (APM), one of the 18 registered political parties in Nigeria has called on Female contestants to take advantage of the 40% constitutional provision for women.

The call was made today by the National Women Leader, Hafsat M. B. Usman in a statement she signed and made available to journalists.

According to her, "the process of FCT general elections has started with primary elections conducted across parties. However, there is room for substitution of candidates. The party is requesting for INTERESTED FEMALE CONTESTANTS to take advantage of the provision".

She further enjoined women to create awareness about this opportunity to all women platforms eg community meetings, religious gathering, professional and trade associations, etc. She said women can only succeed in their advocacy for inclusion in governance space if they are politically included in the decision making structures. Women have capacity to deliver on assignments therefore they should not shy away from representative responsibilities like contesting elections.

She concluded by calling on the men to support women who are interested in politics especially in contesting for elective positions.

The top leadership and independent leaders of a network of active non-governmental organisations in Africa known as the Joint Initiative for Development NGOs (JIFOD-NGOs) with its headquarters in Abuja of Nigeria, have carefully selected and cleared President Joe Biden of the United States of America, and President Janos Ader of the Republic of Hungary to receive their pioneer merit awards.



Announcing the approved awardees at the end of the organisation’s top leadership meeting on 24th April, 2021, in Abuja, the director of public relations, Mr. Emmanuel Daudu, said the Hungarian President was selected for exceptionally and consistently exalting God’s name and believing in and respecting God’s grace and awesomeness in Pastor Nick Vujicic.


Daudu disclosed that President Biden won the award on merit on account of his humble action, which shows he leads a responsible, caring and an honest government.

Nigeria alongside all countries of the world has celebrated this special day of the International Girls in ICT Day, 2021 on 22 April at the Government Girls Science Secondary School Dutse, Makaranta, Abuja.










The President/ Chief Executive Officer, Digital Bridge Institute, Engr. Prof. Mohammed Ajiya elucidated the importance of girls in ICT declaring that his institution has severally supported and would continue to support the girls' child in ICT as priority is on the percentage of 60 as to against 40 percent for the boys. He also assured the Hon. Minister of Women Affairs, Dame Pauline Tallen of his support to the programs and policies that are ICT inclined.

Engr. Prof. Mohammed Ajiya who asserted in his remarks at the institution on Thursday in Dutse-Abuja while marking the International Girls in ICT Day encouraged the girls' child to carry science subjects seriously.

"Information and communication technologies have been invaluable during the COVID-19 pandemic. They help us to stay connected and to keep vital services and businesses going.

"Yet almost half the world is still offline – and most of those who lack access to digital technology are women and girls in developing countries. The latest figures from the International Telecommunication Union show a 17 percent gender gap in internet users globally. This is even wider in the least developed countries. In some regions, this gender gap is growing, reinforcing gender inequalities by denying women and girls opportunities to access education, find better-paid jobs, and start new businesses.

"Making these technologies available to all is an essential part of building back stronger communities and economies, and addressing many of the world’s most pressing challenges.

"International Girls in ICT Day aims to inspire a global movement to increase the representation of girls and women in technology. Today, let’s recommit to the goal of equal access for young women and girls to opportunities in science, technology, engineering, and math".


Earlier, the Permanent Secretary, Anthonia Ekpa ably represented by the Director Child Development, Hajiya Jumiah Muhammed in her address, stated that the effect of COVID-19 has exposed untapped potentials in the ICT sector, urging the girls to take ICT related subjects passionately.

Also, speaking at the event, was the President, Women in ICT, Dr. Chinwe Anyachebelu, she urged the students of the institution to begin to have passion for mathematics as it is the basis for sciences.

The Principal, Government Girls Science Secondary School Dutse, Mrs. Fatima Muhammed thanked the Minister for finding the institution worthy to host her and assured her of her best in ensuring that the students of the institution make the nation proud.

The highlight of the event was the showcasing of the team robot traffic mechanism designed by the students of the institution on ways to curb traffic within the Abuja metropolis.

The Minister of Popular Power for Foreign Relations, Jorge Arreaza, received on Sunday at the Maiquetía International Airport the Executive Director of the World Food Program (WFP), David Beasley, as part of the cooperation agenda that Venezuela supports with this program of the United Nations Organization.

Beyond serving as a cultural ambassador to the US under the auspices of the Institute of International Education (IIE), New York, Prof. Adedimeji has co-won the research and conference award/grant of the Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFund) of the National Research Council, Nigeria, the Council for the Development of Social Science Research in Africa (CODESRIA) and the Association of Commonwealth Universities (ACU). Abubakar Abdullahi picked the form on Tuesday, a few minutes after he stormed the FCT APC Secretariat.






HON. Abubakar who has served in several capacities in the political arena deemed it fit to vie for the topmost office in the Area Council.

The Kogi born Abubakar
is said to be the first none indigen ever to run for the chairmanship of the Area council as well the first candidate to pick the nomination form of the Council Chairmanship.
