Those 2 Afcon MIA we did during abacha time dey pain. It was all ours for the taking and this is without an iota of respect to those that participated. Yes, it's that bad. I guess $20k compensation was okay then. But missing those two
We should be on 5 by now and 3 as at then which would have meant we would be in Egypt's haul by now. |

Joebie: We are always gonna win by a slim margin. That’s risky when we don’t convert enough. . My only fear of this team. Meet a team that creates and wirh a high conversion rate — Trouble.
We must start to convert well. Currently, nobody has that rate left. All gone, coincidentally. Regardless, we need to really be more clinical |

Odunayaw: It's a tedious job being a coach sha. No be football manager app The way Pes reacted in this match is the most I've seen since 1st game. The boys were probably not doing something he wanted. Lol. E no easy. Maybe na 1 goal man he be cos see as he do after Osimhen score before it was disallowed 😂😂 |

Joebie: I would have preferred Cape Verde. But we will meet SA and we will beat them. Just pray against PKs None of the teams left to me, aside DRC, have the ability to hold us for 120 and go pk route unless na we want the pk ourselves. SA defense has Mvala as their main man. The rest aren't as good as the Cameroon backline imo. But if na SA we meet, we should just avoid fouls near the 18. That mokoena guy is too good abeg. They're good on counter as well. It is truly up to us at this stage. |

Odunayaw: The thing is, that 343 is a trade off for some other parts of the game.
Did you notice Aina's channel wasn't used offensively in the 2nd half? That's true. Infact i noticed Onyeka attacking more than Aina. Infact this is the most advanced I've seen Onyeka so far. Coach noticed Aina slips and probably decided to go cautious than risk it. |

Joebie: Bassey missed a header today, while Osimhen was prepping his bicycle.
I think Osimhen would have been better placed to score if he had opened for Simon to lay a pass after skipping past those Angola players. Moses was never gonna score that. The Angolans were ever ready to block.
As regards VAR, Very close call. But it was offside. so in other words, he's doing one for the team, dragging away bodies. That Lookman pass he fluffed was his chance. He messed it up. Moses truly supposed pass but i, like others were expecting he buries that solo effort. E too sweet. E pain me. So far, among those left, I don't see any big threat aside Cape Verde setup. But it is like a replica of Angola's. Let SA prove themselves sha. |

Odunayaw: - Anytime our wingers bring the ball to the box, Osimhen is often screening the defense to allow a shot and also to fight for loose balls. So he can't come in for the 1-2. Although he attempted it one of our games I can't recall immediately.
- Iwobi hasn't been close to the box enough to spark it.
My opinions sha True. I also noticed that others don't really join the counter attacks to provide more passing options. Its either it is Simon, or Lookman or Osimhen. E sure me say if the others come behind for a pass and shoot we for they score pass wetin we dey see. This our goal sef was because Lookman was the last of 3 attackers to enter box. I also love Bassey's burst forwards. |

Joebie: I honestly thought we will improve as the tourney progressed. Osimhen has missed 5/13. of our missed chances. So it’s not just Osimhen. If Lookman was that profligate, how e for be? His second against Cameroon could have easily been punched out as he hit it too close to the keeper. I thought the first was class although it barely went in. Damn who else has scored in that team?
. You're right. That aspect should be clinical really. I still stand by Bassey reply to goalscoring. I also want to see another defenser score. But it looks like na Osimhen need step up. Simon don take 2 MOTM already. I believe he will. He needs it for confidence. That offside, was it clear cos it looked like his arm to me. |

Joebie: So why are we not converting enough? I think that’s the big question. The annoying thing is it is ALWAYS slim to not burying it. But somehow, it doesn't see back of net. We've have how many disallowed goals so far now? To analyze this aspect hard sef. This question fit get answer so? Lol |

Joebie: Angola coach said he knew SE’s weaknesses. He still lost but he did know something. We need to stop wasting chances. Good tactical sides will hit target (shots on target) regardless of our defensive formation. i noticed he put up 5 attackers after iwobi was off. It became like 325. I expected Pes to bring in Moffi to replicate the long balls. We just waste chances gaan. That scoreline no do justice. |

I believe say finidi don sit am down talk to am
He was very good today and against Cameroon 🇨🇲 Whoever is in the media crew of this squad better be ready to drop a miniseries of what's going on backstage. I believe Finidi is very influential on these players as assistant coach because many of them were not born or were kids when he was a top global baller that year. They can't form or be stubborn to such figure. Simon is has 2 MOTM currently if I'm not mistaken. |

Well for now, let’s focus on the two remaining matches, though I always have my mind set on the highest prize — the World Cup of course This is where I'm scared of the self destruct abilities of nff guys. This thing that looks easy on the eye is really hard. We should be tempered in our criticisms. We never gave the man a chance. We never gave the team a chance but now we are in the semi.
I like good football. But I want the Afcon trophy more abeg the scoreline did us no justice. But we tore that defense apart but luck helped them. |

For me this team has achieved, if we can solve our attacking issues by making lookman a false 9 may be we could see more goals Osimhen offside is his undoing. But the ones he supposed bury too, he no bury am. But am Happy for all he offers. E kon be like a giroud kind of striker, whereas he's not. But the stats would not gree. Lol |

The fact is you guys overrated Mabululu and co. No be when them see space dem go show? Also forgetting that the scoreline is not reflecting how we ran down this defence. Osimhen should have a Hattrick in this game but see how all went.
I noticed the anger of Jpes when he was talking with Musa. Seems he was vexed with Osimhen or Onyeka or something. Cos after the sub he was talking to him. That Onyeka chance, if only he looked up to give return pass wey sweet.
Seeing Nwabali shout at Iwobi for that mistake then explain himself later and apologized is what i love to see. Iwobi is very lucky that this is not Enyeama. Apology for where?😂😂😂😂😂 |

He gave some solo runs and dribbles that shows that he can be a good sub that runs at a tired defense too. 👏🏿👏🏿 |

Omanambala: Iwobi was actually better in this first half than any match he has played for Nigeria. But I need him to be more quicker and aggressive He is looking better because unlike the previous matches, he is playing with more freedom than usual. He doesn't need to run much. Just look and razor pass. Simple!! Previous games he was restricted and people kept thinking he's playing an attacking role when he wasn't. Infact he still created chances from deep in that CIV game. |
