The Ketekete Effect
Coined from the legendary poetic song of Chief Ebenezer "chief commander" Obey about trying to please people.
Those of you clamoring for Osimhen to be benched will be the 1st to drag everyone including Finidi George if Nigeria doesn't win this game.
So let the fear factor continue rather than loss of momentum.
Do your best and leave the rest, as you can't please people |

kennysville: One thing is sure going into the match against SA, they gonna do operation Covid 19. Na total lockdown. I can promise you they won't come out to play. They don't seem to have any player with physicality and pace of Osimhen which is gonna be a big worry. They know that. Most likely tactic will be to hope we drag till Extra time and hopefully go into penalties. This is why all headers and flicks need to be on point for Naija. No gree for anybody. Make all set pieces and corner kicks count. No selfish play Make una warn Moses well. If that is the case then get an Iheanacho for the cross and nod duty. Or better still, play Aina in advanced role so he can cross. Osimhen should be more effective with crosses. We should however avoid fouls in 25yrd area. We all know why. |

mostob: Gbam! Na 'anyhow' football dey win tournament. Victory is what matters not who score. Although those people asking Osimhen to be dropped have got a perfect excuse for that. Osimhen missing chances night cost us one day but that doesn't mean we should turn a blind eye to his other activities on the pitch. He needs to break the jinx. Lookman also wants him to score but see how he dey do like say na Kai Harvest dey meet GK! Perhaps he scores one screamer and everyone forgets he's on 2G/A |

BankyGee: It's calculated by points bro, Naija was on 1506pts before, then moved to 1516.87pts, which is +10pts, if we win South Africa, we'll go up by +20pts, which will be approximately 1536pts and go above Sweden who are on 26th with 1531.13pts...
We started the tournament @1474pts and have amassed approximately +42pts so far... I know actually. It's just reminding me of the 2013 win too, the climb was not much. I just want it to be different this time. |

Jodera: Tbh, I'm not worried. He's just unlucky and that's that. Assist is a stat that's dependent on your teammates not the player himself. As long as he keeps on creating those chances Frequently then it's just a matter of time. I would've been worried if he wasn't creating at all.
All in all, it's a good win for us ystdy That's true. The last tike i dropped MT Analysis from Twitter, bot banned me for 2days. I would have dropped the link. They planned to exploit Zinny that's why he was removed. Our midfielders were superb. They played fast football. Nice |

mostob: The year France won the world cup, Giroud was the starting striker yet he didn't have a single shot on target. No be so? Some people need to differentiate between tournament and league. In a tournament, all that matters is to progress till you get the cup. Nothing matters more than to win the match.
There are some players you just can't bench anyhow and Osimhen is one. My issue is the coach not subbing him off whenever he is tired. He already run down the opponent's defence for like 70 minutes. Bring in Moffi who is equally fast. Don't mind them Club football- you lose, you brush up and prepare to win the other. Tournament football-You lose, you're out. Nobody remembers if you played the best football or had world class players. If you win, even if na carpenter full team, the World would laud them for eliminating the better team and hype them. The only thing in common between national team football and club football is group stages of those tournaments. Lose and try win the next. After that nothing. That's why since the Cameroon game, I've concluded that VO is doing like a Giroud-promax sorta. Winning aerial duels and opening up space for teammates to attack and also providing but this time, he's very unlucky with netting. I however feel this southie game, he'll do the needful. |

Spy360: Kai was the reason we won yesterday.
By taking off Konate who was the main pain of Liverpool defense, he created space for the two goals. First he marked out Konate for Martinelli to attack the second goal, then he got Konate sent off that released Trossard for the third goal. The way he beat Konate even Konate knew he was going to commit the foul that will send him home early. He played a big part in the game. I wish Jesus was fit, he for come run riot. Kai and Trossard using same dribble to cause wahala. The Players did what needed to be done up front to make us win that game sha. Kai is wack as CF |

Jodera: Lol, the way you put it as if it's Odegaard's fault.
Perfect pass to Nketiah against wolves on a one on one. The latter missed it.
Perfect pass to Havertz in today's game. Pure one on one. Yet he missed it. Thank goodness for Saka being at the right place to rebound home.
Perfect pass to Kiwior in today's game too. Chipped pass for a one on one but the latter just nodded it straight to Allison
A pure chance he created to Gabriel Jesus against Nottingham whom the latter crashed against the bar. Another potential assist been wasted.
All these are just the top of my head that I didn't even have to think deep oo. I wonder how many more I would pick up if I try to remember. And all these ones I pointed out are BIG CHANCES.
This is one of the reasons I hardly look at stats. It'll make one look as if he's not doing anything meaningful all these while.
Sometimes it's really painful seeing all these things on behalf of players sef You've said it all. And it's not looking like they want to help his case anytime soon. They should help his matter. He should be on double Assists by now. 009 for him so far. That's why it's bothering me. Abi make we wait till UCL resumes? Those ones just dey post Arteta upandan lately🤣 |

The only pain is defensive error is making Raya not be on 8 clean sheets by now. Naim dey pain me.
Got scared when they said Coote was on VAR duty. They said he made Error for not giving the Odegaard Handball as pk last year. So i was thinking he will do something funny today. Unfortunately nothing of such.
Jorginho balled abeg. His best game this season. E remain for Arteta to start subbing off Kai. If Zinny and Nelli can be, why can't Kai? Kai did well in 2nd half sha. I can't even remember the last Arsenal player that made a player sent off. |

mostob: Arteta decided to go with 4-2-4 instead of 3-2-5. With Rice-Jorginho pivot, there was no need for Zinchenko to invert. So he went for the more defensive Kiwior. Me refusing to stop the thought of Arteta watching Nigeria at this Afcon Iwobi-Onyeka 😂😂😂😂 |

Starboytwo: Osimhen will and must score against South Africa.
Theres nobody will hold him in that team. Who? Mention the guy let's see his stats.
From what ive seen or heard, southy best player is their keeper. Something is fundamentally wrong with your team if your keeper is your star.
It's not only osimhen. They'd have to battle Bassey and Ekong at the back. Onyeka in the middle, luqman and osimhen forward.
I doubt if southy can beat Cameroon. I doubt if southy can outplay Angola. Heck, I doubt if southy can beat Equatorial Guinea one on one. Mvala, their CB is good. But not enough to stop Osimhen to me. He balled well in r16. Their backline aside this guy offer nothing big enough to frustrate SE. Simon and Chuks will run through and win fouls easily. But we need ways to stop their pace sha. |

Infact, Mamelodi have hacked the North African clubs already. The Bafana will want to complete the swoop to assert themselves in one kine way. But i know we pass them. They should watch out. But we should avoid fouls near our box. Moko can win the game for them with his bendItIn freekicks. |

Roland17: Kai is killing the progression of our attack. I have lost count of how many times he decided to make a back pass rather than a forward play. Also, he is spending way too much time coming deep… Martinelli has been our only outlet and he has been spectacular. I noticed Nelli was our only Attack and that's why i was 50-50 on his removal. Kiwior had no support. So he brought in Trossard that could do both. It paid off. He left Kai on cos of height play. Lol |

2nd nonsense from Saliba 2games 2goals caused. I don't blame Gabriel. liba had all the space to budeh that ball. Raya is 2nd to blame. There was space to take that ball immediately Diaz started hustling with Liba. Mtcheww.
Kai is too consistent in his 1v1 Na still luck say he scored that goal vs Man City in that final. He missed but got lucky. See him shooting straight at Allison. Lol. Otherwise, he's been decent. We should be 3goals up. But here we are. Nelli really making a mess on TAA that two shirts have to give him the Saka treatment. This is where Arteta should improvise. Kai can't give those sweet runs to make Nelli release the ball. That's a Trossard/Gabriel duty. Sadly.... |

Hugo very lucky these cv boiz couldn't covert clear chances.
It's Osimhen vs Mvala. I doubt Mvala can stop him twice.
