the reason is that they don’t produce this big bodied players anymore

Then, skill and talent wise we had it over them but they were too physical and robust when compared to our style of play

Also they can run for 120 mins nonstop
that endurance part especially. Chai. I fit call am PTSD sef. 😂😂😂 i watched the pain live.

Very good display. He got tired but still effective. He was able to contribute to the second goal. The bench team understands why they could not substitute him. I am beginning to think players who played early in European academies have a better technical understanding. Look at the second goal, all starting from Bassey winning a freekick, and then himself, lookman and Iwobi doing the job to score the second goal. That was beautiful.
I want to see a 7.5 upwards sha. Abi is he on the Uzoho path? Cos shooting wey he sabi don turn hilarious thing.

Football is all about good days and bad days.
His presence alone means alot regardless if the performance was great or not.
If you noticed Iwobi was defending and attacking

The opponents will always factor Iwobi as a threat so far he is on that pitch.
True. They factor his abilities even if he's not delivering.

I'm good namesake.

Peseiro who I never rated going into the tournament is the same one giving me reasons to be excited.

What happened? He dropped that silly 442.

It was risky wating till this afcon to try a 3 man midfield for the first time but it worked. It was worth it. But trying the 343 is the true masterclass change I was waiting for. I suggested it much earlier that we should be going 3421 under JPes with the players we have on board and with Nwakali not in the picture.

3421 is 343 but with the wingers playing much closer to Osimhen.

So far, it is lookman who seems to understand the assignment of playing closer to his pointman.
Yeah. I remember you clamoring for 343. It worked. My overall top joy is seeing an attacking pair of 2013 kind replicated in this AFCON. This style should be a permanent template going forward.

More needs to be done for when Osimhen turns provider. Once he has the ball, green shirts should rush inbox for pass options. He's had 4 of such moments so far. Only 1 has turned to goal. Kudos to the assistants of Jpes too. It's the era where they're are key to our national teams cohesion, just like Waldrum's assistant too. I hope NFF are not going to press that forbidden red button with some silly acts anytime soon.

Already explained through the GoodJoe who was kind enough to bring my reply here. I appreciate him for that. My schedule sef shock me.

When I saw us in the first game, I was like... Peseiro is doing something different. Finally listening. Finally playing a 3 man midfield.

Then when I saw the next game vs CIV with Alhassan out and JPes went 343, I knew that is the formation we would be using going forward.

The perfect formation to utilise the personnels of this team.
You're back. How far😎

How can you admit their ideas were "cancelled OUT" and "they didn't succeed" and still say they weren't clueless?

Long balls to Aina wing, same fullstop. Oya pass centre na, Ekong the Headmaster in back to sender mode. Sorey no shot on goal. 0!!!

Calvin Bassey's confidence. That guy na Special kind of defender. I dunno which ex international defender i can use to compare. Creating a whole niche for himself by himself.

5days for Nwabali to recover. Abeg no Uzoho. 30% of our setup will crumble if Uzoho is the gk. That's how influential Stanley is.

bobo na our smooth operator for midfield

Makes it easy with his link up passes and worked hard behind the ball
It's 4games now and he's the getting lowest rating in that midfield. I'm concerned cos i know this is unlike him.

The tournament XI will have 2 of our defenders las las.
For midfield, i doubt any. But up front, Lookman and Osimhen vs the Senegal and Cape Verde forwards. Let's see.

Since the beginning of the tournament everyone can see how hard lookman has been working even defensively and it's paying off for him 2goals and 1 assist in this tournament. Chukwueze can also look at lookman and work hard also .... And some idiots will say foreign borns doesn't know what it takes to play for super eagle shame on them .
Chuks is disappointing. This tourney might end with Simon as the only winger that will be on G/A sheet. (1) if he doesn't step up. Aina is doing a better job than him on the wings. That says alot.

I hate thinking of the self sabotage by Nff for that fixture. Senseless quota nonsense they used to jeopardize things with factors they overlook, no matter how small.

WC loss in Kano and Abuja. Both style. But Kano own too unique

They are too strong for the Zambian side. As for their supporters the belief that they can win afcon after an impressive World Cup could be a motivation for the massive turn out
They've been wasteful though. But they outclassed the zambians.
